We loved the location. And the property was beautiful - really charming.

This was probably the nicest, most luxurious place on our 1-week trip. We spent two nights here. The room was stunning! I actually don't know if I should praise the room or our hosts more. I made a mistake with the booking and we arrived a night earlier than they expected us. Luckily the room was free and there was no problem moving the dates. We only wish we had stayed longer!

Beautiful room and facilities, we missed not having a shower but got used to using the bath.

Mooie ruime kamer en hele vriendelijke host. De looks waren allemaal heel goed, zoals het zitje en de badkuip in het midden van de kamer. De dame die het ontbijt verzorgde sprak geen Engels, maar dat gaf niet want ze was heel vriendelijk. Ook kregen we elke ochtend vers fruit door haar gesneden.

Ik vond de prijs-kwaliteitverhouding heel erg scheef. Voor meer dan €200 per nacht had ik wel iets meer luxe verwacht. Zo waren er een aantal dingen echt aan vervanging toe, zoals de enige kraan in de kamer in het toilet dat los zat en daardoor niet goed werkte. Ook was de wcbril niet bevestigd waardoor je elke keer met 2 handen de deksel moest open doen omdat de bril er anders afviel. Ook had ik graag willen weten dat de badkuip midden in de kamer de enige faciliteit was en dat er geen douche was. Even snel afspoelen na een warme dag is gewoon niet ideaal in een badkuip waarin je zelf de douchekop moet vasthouden tussen allemaal plakkerige douchegordijnen in. Ook vond ik het bed erg hard. Ik had stiekem ook gehoopt op een klein extraatje (felicitatie, kaartje, misschien zelfs een flesje wijn) aangezien het de eerste nachten van onze huwelijksreis waren, maar hier is door de host geen woord over gezegd. Na 4 nachten was ik ook wel klaar met hetzelfde simpele ontbijt elke ochtend: de koffie smaakte naar zwarte peper en het croissantje was nog een beetje rauw.

Breakfast was wonderful with Fresh squeezed Orange juice and beautiful fresh fruit salad after travelling on planes with yoghurt local cheeses bread and homemade jam was a delight. Served with care by Elizabetha very much appreciated

I couldn’t fault anything

The breakfast was just wonderful. After a long trip Fresh squeezed orange juice gorgeous fresh fruit salad local breads and cheeses so fabulous and delightful Elisabeth’s served with great care. Hosts Eduarda and Victor have created a most beautiful place to stay. I felt so safe and cared for. Traveling on my own it was very much appreciated.

With such attention to detail and hospitality you could not do better. Was really so welcoming.

localização perfeita para quem vai assistir a algum concerto na Casa da Música. A simpatia do staff é espetacular.

Pensamos em ir jantar no restaurante do hotel, Em Carne Viva, e não nos arrependemos de não ter feito a reserva. Achamos que pelo preço cobrado a sala do jantar deveria ser impecável. E não é.

An exceptional room in a beautiful maison de maitre! This is nothing like an ordinary steril hotel room. Thanks to the warm and welcoming atmosphere it feels like visiting friends or family. The breakfast was varied and generous. Elizabeta is a star, and the owners super lovely! The place is not centrally located but there is a busstop just outside with direct lines both to the center and to the beach. You also have a direct metro line to the airport.

Delicious vegan breakfast (and fab 9 course tasting menu in the restaurant below), lovely friendly staff and beautiful stylish decor. Felt really homely and unique. A storm had created a small leak in our bathroom and the owners were super apologetic and nice about it, even though we barely noticed it!

The bath water wasn't that hot (perhaps something to do with the storm) so we used kettles, but the bath was still great.

The property is unique & beautiful and the hosts are wonderful. We truly enjoyed our stay. We love their commitment to sustainability. We will return and try the restaurant next time!

Very nice staff, excellent breakfast, stylish room

breakfast was good although my English taste buds did find the coffee a little ristretto.

Everything was brilliant, although the bath and shower facilities were not ideal for a couple aged 75.

Fiquei apenas uma noite, mas senti-me num verdadeiro conto de fadas. O quarto era mágico em cada detalhe e o staff cinco estrelas, sempre atencioso, realizou todos os meus caprichos. Uma experiência inesquecível!

The room was beautiful - full of character - the house is an old building that has been renovated. Victor & his wife so friendly (as was the lady who served breakfast (sorry I didn’t get your name). I ate in the restaurant for the tasting menu one evening, & it was absolutely incredible. Thank you so much

The hotel is wonderful and the owners lovely. The room was spectacular. Elizabeth who prepared our breakfast was a real delight. So friendly.

It was a little bit out from the centre of town. However, the owner suggested Bolt the uber equivalent and this was very cheap and easy to use.

Wenig Ablage und Staumöglichkeiten im Raum

Voici une demeure atypique dans une maison portugaise traditionnelle complètement rénovée de façon écologique. C'est un petit cocon qui réserve de belles surprises, surtout si vous avez la chance d'échanger avec Victor et son épouse, des passionnés d'architecture, de style et de protection de l'environnement qui ont su créer un BnB d'exception. Chambre délicieusement décorée, jardin agréable, salle du petit-déjeuner d'une beauté incroyable avec des tables issues du bois récupéré lors des travaux dans la maison. Et c'est sans compter sur le sourire accueillant et chaleureux qu'Elisabeth nous a témoigné chaque matin, dispensant un petit mot agréable, faisant la conversation, cherchant à satisfaire chacune de nos attentes. Les hôtes sont d'une incroyable gentillesse et leur demeure est pleine de charme.

La maison est assez éloignée du coeur de Porto; fort heureusement, nous avons voyagé en voiture, ce qui nous a permis de garder notre autonomie (pas de problème pour trouver une place dans le quartier). Le tram passe néanmoins devant la bâtisse.

Breakfast was great location was in the city. The people in the city were very friendly and helpful. Got lost going back to my hotel but the people on the street were actually very helpful.

Breakfast is vegetarion. That should be mentioned. The best croissants I have ever tried in any hotels.

This is the most beautiful place I have ever stayed, and I am a frequent world traveler. Thé property was lovely, the owners were also, and we absolutely loved everything. Having the AC and claw foot tub were wonderful luxuries. The attention to detail here was also very noticeable and appreciated. Also the included breakfast was great- large individual fruit salads, freshly baked croissants, amazing cappuccino and a whole spread of fresh bread, jam, cheese and cereal. It was super easy to catch an uber to anywhere we wanted to go in the city. Be sure to have dinner in the restaurant- it was amazing. It is vegan and my daughter and I are not but we loved it! Can’t wait to come back.

It was beautifully furnished and made you feel at home. It was cozy and it was nice to get the opportunity to spend time in an original Portuguese house. Breakfast was quite filling and we were well taken care of by Ms Rosa (a gem). We could always reach out to our hosts if we needed anything, and they were helpful. It was walking distance to the Metro stop Casa Musica and there are number of places to eat around.

We liked everything!

My husband and I found out last minute he would need to work while we were on vacation. The owners did everything possible on their end to make the situation workable with the internet. In short, after an evening, we felt it was not appropriate for my husband to work here, and so we got a second Airbnb for him. I have never been in a Hotel, Airbnb or Bed and Breakfast where I have felt so much at peace. The "blue" room that I stayed in was heaven for me. I have not slept so well in a long time! Once the restaurant closes at night, it is so quiet, and all you here are the birds. I can not say enough about how relaxing this was for me. I think it's a perfect place for a solo female traveler. Also, for a night or two as a couple. Breakfast was lovely in the morning, and I loved Elisabeth . Everyone was just super kind. Walkable to everywhere.

There is nothing I did not absolutely love about this! I will only say that for a big guy, maybe the bathtub shower could be a challenge. Also, this is definitely more Bed &Breakfast style. Breakfast is vegetarian, which was fine with me. Please read all the reviews before booking because leaving anything negative would never be fair. This place is a dream!

What a beautiful accommodation, tucked away just two minutes from the iconic Rotunda da Boavista ( one of Portugal's top cultural venues) in the Casa da Musica district of Porto. The house has been lovingly restored in an elegant rococo style and the beautiful room we stayed in felt like luxury. The staff were extremely welcoming and attentive and the bespoke breakfast experience was a wonderful start to the day.

We were so fortunate to find this place! It's a building that has been renovated with care, precision to the architectural style and in an environmentally friendly way. We were also lucky that there was a last minute table that was available for us at the plant based vegan restaurant too. The food was locally sourced, organic, delicious, unique and homemade by the owner (of the restaurant and hotel). This place was truly a gem! The rooms and bathrooms are unique, breakfast was delicious and the owner couple is so attentive and so enthralled by what they do that you can feel it in their hospitality! We will definitely find a reason to go back!

Astonishingly beautiful house with stunning decorative features which had obviously been restored with great love and care by the family who own it. The family also live at the property which gave us insight into their lives - which includes running a celebrated vegan restaurant below. Both Eduarda and Victor could not have been kinder and they have a further secret weapon in the form of Elizabete who was adorable and looked after our every need at breakfast. They also have a pretty and slightly secret garden - which serves the restaurant but also has seating at the far end.

Just the most perfect place to stay. Even three days of rain in Porto couldn’t ruin our trip as we had such a beautiful hideaway to escape to. I couldn’t recommend staying here more!

This place has simply been phenomenal, starting by the warmth and love of the people who built this beautiful place and own the hotel you will be carried away by the beauty of this very original Portuguese Porto-Style Boutique Hotel. I've been there during a conference and made all my colleagues envy me for this beautiful booking. The people working there are there for you at any time!

Wonderfully restored old house I was that is very thoughtfully and tastefully designed period Victor and his wife were super kind and accommodating period lovely restaurant with dining in the garden. We had a lovely time!

The owners were fabulous, exceptionally caring and helpful. Everyone went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The accommodation is charming and incredibly unique.
