Reviewed Jun 2, 2026I had a great experience at Sir Roy's Guest house Walmer. From the moment I arrived for the checkin, the owner was so helping, and very friendly. The room was beautiful and clean, the entire house was just beautiful and safe. She made a mouth watering breakfast, I was very pleased with her hospitality. I would definitely be going back and recommend that place to anyone.

Reviewed Apr 28, 2026The breakfast was delicious and freshly made with care and excellent presentation. The location is not too far from the beach front attractions. Access into and out of the guest house was seamless. The set up is really good and the hostess was friendly and accommodating.
To be quite honest, there is nothing that I can be critical about. I thought quite hard about how they could improve. There was a tricky little step just as one stepped out of room 8 and I nearly took a tumble a few times.

Reviewed Nov 19, 2025We stayed at Sir Roys Guest House in Port Elizabeth for one night after returning from Addo and before continuing our journey, and it was a wonderful stopover. We were welcomed by the incredibly kind owner as soon as we arrived — she made us feel truly cared for. In the evening she checked if we needed anything and even gave us great recommendations for dinner, and in the morning she made sure we had everything we wanted at breakfast. The owners also have four adorable dogs, which added a lovely, homely touch to the place. Breakfast was very tasty and plenty to start the day. The room was clean and comfortable; it could use a bit of refreshing, but honestly the warm atmosphere of the guest house made up for everything, and we really enjoyed our stay. A charming and welcoming place — highly recommended.
