We had ordered the cooked breakfast. I thought it was very overpriced at R200/ head. We will still stay again but skip the breakfast. Better value at Wimpy along the N1.

The overall design is exceptional and thoughtfully done. I was especially impressed by how the old home has been tastefully renovated, preserving its heritage and original character while seamlessly incorporating the modern amenities expected of a quality guest house. The balance between history and comfort was handled extremely well.

Our room was small, a bit dark and did not look like the others advertised - we expected a stoep leading from our room (like the other units) but we got what felt like a shoe box - especially when we closed our door. Our room was clean and neat but even the kettle struggled to fit into its own space. Bathroom was a lovely size! I love the owners style - just a pity we got that specific bedroom.

Went out of her way to experience an amazing rest nd waiting for a arrival. No problem. Beautiful room everything we needed nd bathroom reminded me of turkey or Spain Wilna thank u. Reviewed Nov 4, 2025Nice old world furniture, our room had outside furniture, very pleasant to sit on and relax. The hostess is very freindly. We vould use the fridge for our frozen food on route. Dafe parking inside the security gate right ifo the room, a big plus for us.
No bath, shower only. Would like washing soup and shampoo in the shower and bigger glasses. The parking is cramped. Pillows not very comfortable.

The rooms are well appointed with beautiful period furniture and finishings, as well as modern functional amenities. Very thoughtful details right down to the teaspoons!! Thank you! Kroonstad may not be a place to visit but if you are ever in the area or travelling and need a place to stay over, stay here.

The following could have made the accommodation excellent or superb: A socket near a mirror to use a hair dryer (we appreciate it being a very old property (lovely renovated) with limited electrical sockets available. Although there was body wash, shampoo in the bathroom would have been welcome.
