Reviewed Mar 11, 2026Stylish and modern while super cozy, all amenities that you need for two people plus tasteful add ons such as fresh milk in the fridge and small pieces of jam. We extended one night, cuz we just felt so comfortable and homey. Location is walking distance to shops / town center, but there is also a bus stop 2 min away in case you want to go to Martinborough. On top of all, super welcoming and easy going hosts - would definitely book again!

Reviewed Apr 13, 2025We loved staying here. Everything was modern, comfy bed, excellent water pressure in the shower, a wood burner that heated the whole place well, and Olive the dog was a delightful hostess. We will definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone.

Reviewed Mar 9, 2025Beth, Dean and beautiful Olive their Labrador, were so welcoming on arrival. The cottage itself is tastefully decorated with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay. There were extras which were appreciated, especially the logs that Dean provided for the wood burning stove. Everything is spotless! The bed is super comfortable, the shower and facilities are excellent and we thoroughly made use of the board and card games. It is very peaceful and calming at the cottage and would highly recommend it if you are looking for first class accommodation in a beautiful area.

Reviewed Sep 26, 2024The hosts were extremely welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed complete privacy during our stay. The place was well-equipped, clean, and tidy. The fireplace came with plenty of wood and everything needed to start a fire. The shower had a fantastic, powerful stream.
It would be great to have movie channels or options to connect a phone or laptop to the TV.

Reviewed Jun 30, 2024A+, 10 out of 10, 5 star...comfortable, welcoming. Best accomodation I have ever stayed in. You need to see, experience it to believe it. I didnt want to leave. I will definitely stay here when visiting my Carterton family. Masterton, Greytown very close by as well.
Could there be a hairdryer supplied is the only request I would have so we don't need to bring one.

Reviewed Jun 8, 2024Excellent location - close to Ngawi / Cape Palliser and Castlepoint so did a few day trips. So nice and cosy, having a fire was really nice. Bed was comfy. The cottage was clean. The kitchen was awesome - it had everything you need. Olive is such a lovely dog and super friendly. Beth and Dean are great and willing to help with anything.

Reviewed Mar 28, 2023We found the accommodation lovely there was a warm welcome from the host but they were not intrusive and we were very comfortable during our stay. We had a nice outlook towards the hills and a large green space in front .
While the road noise was not terrible coming from a rural area we did notice the rumble of the trucks throughout the night. We had a few issues regulating the hot water in the shower but again it was not major you just had to work out how far to turn the controls,
