Reviewed Aug 19, 2026Die Pension liegt direkt an der Hauptstraße, sehr laut auch durch den Fluss, allerdings schließen die Fenster/Balkontür sehr gut und man hört so gut wie nichts mehr. Die Lage ist absolut zentral, 5 Gehminuten zur Seilbahn. Frühstück war ausreichend, Kaffee sehr gut.
Es fehlt leider an Personal wie überall, der Chef macht alles alleine, ausgenommen Reinigung.

Reviewed Aug 12, 2026Very nice place, full of art. We stayed there for 6 nights and felt very comfortable. Our room was very clean and commodious, the bathroom was cleaned every day, with a lot of space for your things. Breakfast was tasty and varied (delicious bread and rolls! and there was even a carrot to try <3 ). The Pension is in very good location: there is supermarket at the corner (open 7-18 exept Sundays), bus stations to Zell am See, some restaurants nearby, the Maiskogel cable car is about 5 minutes away on the foot. Enough parking place, on the last day we were able to leave our car for a couple of hours after checking out and explore one more trail.

Reviewed Jul 20, 2026Eine äußerst charmante Unterkunft mit sehr freundlichen Gastgebern. Mitten im Zentrum, sehr vieles fußläufig erreichbar. Das Zimmer war gemütlich und wir haben sehr gut geschlafen. :) Das Frühstücksbuffet ist überschaubar und gleichzeitig vielfältig, für jeden was dabei. Ein Zuckerl ist die Sommerkarte, die viele Eintritte zu Sehenswürdigkeiten rund um Kaprun beinhaltet bzw. Reduktionen gewährt. Top! Alles in allem hatten wir einen schönen Aufenthalt in Kaprun und Umgebung in familiärer Atmosphäre - wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und würden wiederkommen. :)
Wir haben nix zu beanstanden.

Reviewed Mar 5, 2026We came to ski without a car and the location was perfect for that. It's close enough to walk to the valley station or skibus with your ski boots on. There is also a big space to store and dry your ski gear. Restaurants and supermarket are just around the corner. The host is friendly. You sure can find a more modern and fashionable place to stay but in this price range I think this was an excellent choice.
The house is old and the interior is a bit worn out. You also can here the sounds and steps from above.

Reviewed Mar 4, 2026I will give a 10 to this hotel, a thing which i rarely do on booking.com. The hotels location is fantastic, everything is close, supermarket, ski lift, shops, you have it all. The rooms are spacious, tidy overall. The bathroom is clean too. No complaints on that front. The host’s son (i assume) is very kind and welcoming, speaks perfect english and helps you with anything you ask. The breakfast is simple but plenty and tasty, the coffee is amazing! Room for skis and boots. This place is exactly what you expect from a ski pension, loved it, will definitely visit again.
I will give a 10 becuse i loved the place but i have to note: The owner lady is kind of rude. We were leaving and while I was packing skis downstairs, she came into the room which my girlfriend was packing out of, and she started agressively talking to her in german - which she did not understand a word of- and pointed to different points of the room. We do not understand what that was about, but it is unacceptable behaviour for a hotel owner, also very weird.

Reviewed Jan 31, 2026After a bad experience elsewhere, staying here was a relief! Sebastian welcomed us so warmly. The room was spacious, had high ceilings, and most importantly, it was perfectly warm. The cleaning team did a great job every day, and when we asked for extra pillows, we got them immediately. Facilities: The sauna and entertainment area are excellent. We enjoyed the sauna every single day after skiing—it was exactly what we needed. Location: Unbeatable. It’s just a 3-minute walk to the slopes in the best ski area of Kaprun. No need for a ski bus at all! Breakfast: Sebastian prepares a wonderful breakfast. There is a great coffee and tea machine, and the boiled eggs are cooked to perfection (soft-boiled) every morning. We are already planning to come back next year. Thank you for everything!

Chefin sehr unfreundlich, belehrend und teilweise herablassend. Haus sehr alt und gefährliche Stiegen. Pension steht direkt neben einem Bach der extrem laut ist.

Reviewed Jan 19, 2026Die Unterkunft ist sehr sauber und total gemütlich, die Besitzer*innen überaus freundlich. Es ist ein altes Haus mit viel Charme. Das Frühstück war toll und es gab sogar vegane Optionen. Außerdem ist das Haus sehr zentral in Kaprun und ein Supermarkt direkt nebenan
Da es sich um ein altes Haus handelt, sind die Böden etwas hellhörig, also wir konnten von dem Zimmer über uns jeden Schritt hören. Aber einfach Oropax einpacken, wenn man empfindlich ist (so haben wir das auch gemacht) und dann ist es kein Problem mehr :-)

Reviewed Jan 12, 2026Die Unterkunft ist einfach, aber sauber und liegt nur 3min Gehzeit von der Talstation Maiskogellift entfernt. Direkt daneben ein Supermarkt, im Umkreis von 5min Gehzeit zahlreiche einfache und gehobene Restaurants zum Abendessen. Man braucht also kein Auto welches übrigens direkt vor der Pension gratis geparkt war. Man hat einen geheizten Raum fürs Lagern und Anziehen der Schischuhe, die Zimmer waren ausreichend geräumig um seine Schikleidung, Handschuhe, etc. so zu lagern, dass sie über Nacht komplett trocknen können. Das Bett/Matratze ist sehr gut, Zimmer war genau richtig geheizt. Das Frühstück ist vielfältig und gut und dem Preis angemessen. Freundlicher, zuvorkommender Vermieter der sich um seine Gäste bemüht. Ich finde, Preis/Leistung passen sehr gut und ich kann diese Pension klar empfehlen!
Das WLAN setzt immer wieder aus, aber man hat guten 5G Empfang, somit darüber gelöst. Ansonsten hat alles gepasst!

Mir hat nicht gefallen, dass Frau Lachmayr zu mir sagte: Skifahren, aber nicht Treppen steigen wollen! Ich bin schwerbehindert, eine Etage hoch geht danach wird es schmerzhaft. Der Sohn war sehr nett und hilfsbereit!

We did not cook but noticed apartment was well equipped and the cupboards had the basics. Bathroom more than adequate. Plenty of towels. Parking at rear of building.. Also a ski room! Breakfast was as you would expect with enough variety to satisfy most. Boiled eggs very nicely cooked.
One room was on road side. Plenty of traffic noise but I wasn't bothered. Just putting it here for information! Only real fault for me would be the pillows. Too flimsy for my liking!
