Reviewed Aug 28, 2026Great value, lovely family, great location and comfy bed. Highly recommend for a stay on your way in or out of Sri Lanka. I booked the transfer through them, and it all worked well. Lovely driver then drove my friends and I to Sigiriya two days later.
Would have appreciated another sun lounger, because the pool was so nice, but really not a big deal.

Il a de très bonnes adresses tant pour le change que pour la restauration. Il nous a organisé une visite sur le canal c’était vraiment top. Le petit déjeuner était vraiment top aussi !

Reviewed Aug 2, 2026The villa is great, with beautiful floors and furniture, very clean and spacious and the pool is very nice to cool off in. The owners are especially amazing, with interesting conversations and they provided everything we needed and more. In addition, we could even stay for a swim & freshen up and shower after checking out before our flight! The location is great too, beach is nearby and many restaurants etc nearby.

The place is extremely clean and is located in a very nice area. Close to the beach and to the tourist strip, many nice family restaurants in the same road. Cooling off in the pool was really nice!

Although we didn't use the pool as short on time, it looked very clean and inviting and a good selection of restaurants for dinner within a short walk, plus convenience stores for snacks.

Reviewed Apr 22, 2026Great location and lovely pool with towels provided. Lovely room with high ceiling and large balcony. Only 1 row back from the Main Street and short walk to the beach. Can help with a tuk tuk to the airport and allowed us to use another room for the day as our flight was in the evening.
There are no dining facilities at the property, you cannot buy any water or any food from them. There are shops nearby.

Reviewed Apr 3, 2026The owner was great, friendly and helpful. He went above and beyond by bringing in a laptop so we could sort our return flights home. He was always available to help and advise. We stayed in the deluxe room with a balcony and it was a great room. Facilities included a shared washing machine, drying rack, fridge/freezer, sink, kettles, tea and coffee. The pool was lovely and clean. The breakfast was lovely. Definitely recommended. We had originally booked just for two days but due to flight issues we were happy to stay for 6.

Reviewed Mar 22, 2026Locatie is prima. In rustig straatje en toch loopafstand van strand en restaurants. Kamer met privé balkon is ruim. De eigenaar is erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam.
Het balkon staat in directe verbinding met de woonkamer van de familie beneden, dus je hoort werkelijk alles. Het was een drukte met veel kleine kinderen. De douche had nauwelijks waterdruk en er is geen warm water. Er hing een rioollucht. Al met al vind ik dat de prijs aan de hoge kant is voor wat je krijgt.

Reviewed Mar 21, 2026Ist ein sehr guter Anlaufpunkt für die ersten 1-2 Nächte nach dem Flug. Der Host war sehr freundlich und es gab sehr gutes Frühstück - auch Wünsche wurden erfüllt. Die Unterkunft ist 10 Fußminuten vom Meer in einem ruhigen Wohnviertel gelegen.
Dafür kann die Unterkunft nichts, aber außer den Fischmärkten und einem Tempel gibt es in Negombo nicht wirklich viel zu sehen. Die Lagunenfahrt war in Ordnung, aber wir hatten auf unserer Rundreise spektakulärer Bootstouren (Vogelbeobachtung).

We got amazing Sri Lankan and English breakfast and the pool is a nice place for refreshing when it's hot. I'd come definitely back next time again! :)

Sehr angenehme Atmosphäre mit dem besten Gastgeber überhaupt. Kurzfristige Organisation von Ausflügen und der Weiterfahrt waren kein Problem dank der Hilfsbereitschaft und Freundlichkeit des Hotelbesitzers ! Dazu ein maßgeschneidertes Frühstück...Vielen Dank, Anton !!!

Reviewed Dec 18, 2025Expérience exceptionnelle au Grand Royal Villa qui porte bien son nom et qui mériterait un 12/10 ! C'est le meilleur hébergement que nous ayons eu en 3 semaines et le prix est très correct. La villa est située au calme, à une rue de la plage et de l'agitation. Il y a quelques bons restaurants à 2 minutes dans la rue (mention spéciale pour Jolly Mango). La piscine entourée du petit jardin tropical est très agréable, tout est fait pour se reposer. La maison est très spacieuse et aérée. Nous avions la chambre à l'étage avec sa super terrasse surplombant la piscine. Grande pièce bien agencée, excellent matelas et douche chaude avec un pare douche, ce qui a le mérite d'être précisé ! En arrivant Anton nous a gentillement fourni de la lessive ce qui nous a permis de continuer notre périple avec du linge propre. Les propriétaires sont adorables, à l'écoute si besoin mais discrets, très respectueux et amoureux du pays, nous avons eu un super échange avec eux. Située à 20 minutes de l'aéroport, Anton peut vous arranger un transfert pour 3000 (mois de 10€). Que vous arriviez ou repartiez, c'est l'endroit idéal à Negombo.
