Pokój przepiękny, przestronny, cichy, krystalicznie czysty, na nasz przyjazd przystrojony kwiatami. Czuliśmy się jak goście VIP. Właściciele przesympatyczni. Spróbowaliśmy lokalnej kuchni (przepyszna), mieliśmy okazję poznać wiele ciekawostek na temat przeuroczej Sri Lanki. Czuliśmy się jak z wizytą u bliskich znajomych. Z całego serca polecamy!

Abbiamo soggiornato in questa struttura e ci siamo trovati benissimo. La famiglia che la gestisce è semplicemente eccezionale: di una gentilezza infinita, sempre educata, disponibile e attenta a ogni nostra esigenza. Una sera, essendo molto stanchi, non avevamo voglia di uscire e abbiamo ordinato qualcosa da mangiare in camera. Loro, con una gentilezza davvero rara, si sono persino offerti di apparecchiare per noi sul balcone, così da permetterci di cenare comodamente e goderci la serata. Un gesto che abbiamo apprezzato tantissimo. La camera è bellissima, accogliente e soprattutto pulitissima, curata in ogni dettaglio. Ci siamo sentiti davvero accolti e a casa. Una famiglia speciale che rende il soggiorno ancora più piacevole. Consigliatissimo! ❤️

Отличные хозяева, которые построили просто прекрасный дом для туристов! Всё было чисто и очень красиво, вся техника работает и завтраки тоже были потрясающими! Хозяева во всём помогали и подсказывали, где было необходимо Всем советую останавливаться в Дамбулле именно у них)

Madhu et son mari (très bon chauffeur +guide) sont des hôtes parfaits! Notre chambre était très spacieuse, décorée avec goût, extrement propre et bien entretenue avec ventilateur et climatisation (le tout très silencieux), et avec une terrasse bien agréable. Tous les deux sont des hôtes charmants, attentionnés et très sympathiques. Le petit déjeuner était très copieux, différent chaque jour et très bien présenté. Le Golden Temple de Dambulla (Dambulla cave temple) un des plus beaux du Sri Lanka pour nous, est à 15mn à pied. Nous recommandons chaudement ce logement !

The hosts were such lovely people who put a lot of effort, care, and attention into making us feel very welcomed and ensuring our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. They communicated very well ahead of our stay and supported us to get travel arrangements at a very competitive price. The food was delicious and we would highly recommend eating in at Semoya, and the room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms and property look even better in real life, their photos don't do it justice!

Was für eine tolle Unterkunft. Die Gastgeber sind überaus freundlich und hilfsbereit. Netter Kontakt im Vorfeld. Unser Zimmer war top sauber und sehr schön dekoriert (Danke Madhu) und auch für 3 Personen geeignet. Die Lage ist top. Fußläufig in knapp 10 Min zum Cave- Temple, dort waren wir morgens alleine und danach das leckere Frühstück. Der Gastgeber hat uns zu unserer nächsten Unterkunft zu einem fairen Preis gebracht und das noch mit einer super Tour verbunden. Im nachhinein wären wir gerne länger geblieben. Von hier können auch alle Sehenswürdigkeiten in Sigiriya besucht werden. Absolute Empfehlung Danke Madhu und Familie.

La colazione é stata ricca e varia ogni mattina (gli egg hoppers più buoni di tutto lo Sri Lanka li abbiamo mangiati da Madhu). La posizione e' strategica...con una camminata si raggiungono i maggiori siti di interesse di Dambulla (the Cave Temple e the Golden Temple) e, con al massimo un'ora di macchina, si riesce a girare tutto il Triangolo Culturale dello Sri Lanka. Se volete vivere un'esperienza immersiva sentendovi a casa, Simoya é il posto giusto. Consigliatissimo. Voto 10.

Fabuleux séjour rien à redire. Chambre parfaite avec une belle déco florale qui nous attendait comme sur les photos ! Magique !! Tout a été parfait, les hôtes au petits soins et de très bons conseils même après dans nos autres destinations pour nous aider sur les activités. Ils prennent le temps de tout bien expliquer. Déjeuner et dîner succulent. Si on pouvait on mettrait un 10 +++++ et surtout un super jus de fruit de la passion délicieux !!!

Wir hatten ein schönes, großes und sauberes Zimmer und einen Balkon mit Blick ins Grüne. Die Gastgeber Madhu und Sanjee sind sehr nette und aufmerksame Menschen. Frühstück und Abendessen wurden uns auf dem Balkon serviert, alles war sehr lecker. Der Rock Temple war fußläufig erreichbar. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und bereuen es nur eine Nacht gebucht zu haben. Vielen Dank für den kurzen aber schönen Aufenthalt.

Sehr schöne und komfortable Unterkunft, ruhig gelegen, fussläufig vom Buddha Cave Tempel entfernt. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen mit einem Drink und einen nassen Waschlappen für Hände und Gesicht. Das Zimmer war sehr schön mit Blumen geschmückt. Unser Host hat uns viele Informationen gegeben und am Abreisetag kostenlos zur Busstation gefahren.

The rooms are absolutely stunning. Beautifully decorated with real attention to detail. We sat out on our balcony overlooking the beautiful garden and watching the playful monkeys. Really relaxing. Great value for money.

I had an excellent, three-night stay with Madhu and Sanjee during the recent Vesak festival. On arrival I was welcomed with a cold towel and a delicious fruit drink. As many other reviewers have said, Madhu and Sanjee are so helpful and friendly. The room I had was exceptional. Especially for the price point and location. I don’t know how they planned the room so well as its far better than many places that I have stayed. So many thoughtful touches. Decoration is lovely and they also provided tea, coffee, water. The room itself is quite a size so plenty of space for luggage. AC is good and also an overhead fan. The balcony was a delight, especially in the morning and the evening. You’ll probably see monkeys also. The breakfast was excellent and changed each day. Also, a different fruit drink each day. The family have just opened a small shop next door which is helpful if you want cold drinks and snacks. I met Madhu’s mother, sister, daughter. All lovely people. The location is great for the caves and temple. It’s a reasonable walk to town which I did a few times. I’ve been to Dambulla before, and I like this location. As I stayed during Vesak, expect lots of crowds walking to and from the temple and also note that the speeches, prayers and music are generally blasting out all of the day and much of the night. There are speakers all over and it can be difficult to sleep. It comes with the location and happens everywhere where there is a Buddhist temple nearby. At times its pleasant at other times its not necessary and too loud. However, it is what it is. I ate a couple of times at the Black Mustang restaurant. It was fine. Quite basic and reasonable prices. I also ordered a delivery from Pizza Hut which was very good and delivered to the door. Overall, Madhu and Sanjee totally deserve their high rating. The property is like it was opened recently but it’s been open since 2021. They do a fantastic job, and I totally recommend staying here. Well done.

Noise from the Vesak festival.

This was easily one of the most memorable stays of our trip. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and kindness by the hosts, a wonderful couple who made us feel less like guests and more like family. A special mention goes to Madhu, whose hospitality was truly outstanding. She was available at any time to assist with anything we needed, from arranging transportation to providing valuable local insights and helping us plan our visits to nearby attractions. Her recommendations made our experience in Dambulla much richer and more enjoyable. The location is perfect for travellers seeking a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature. Despite its tranquil setting, the property is only a five-minute walk from the famous Dambulla Cave Temple, making it an excellent base for exploring the area. Waking up to the beautiful natural surroundings and the sounds of nature was a refreshing experience. The rooms were spotless, spacious, comfortable, and exceptionally well maintained. Everything was thoughtfully arranged, creating an atmosphere that was both relaxing and welcoming. The authentic and delicious homemade breakfast was another highlight of our stay and a perfect way to start each day. What impressed us even more was the incredible value for money. The quality of hospitality, comfort, and personal attention we received far exceeded what we have experienced at many high-end hotels. If you are looking for a place that combines authentic Sri Lankan hospitality, a serene environment, excellent location, and outstanding service at an affordable price, look no further. This stay deserves more than a perfect score. If it were possible, I would happily rate it 11/10. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Dambulla.

Todo. Al llegar nos recibieron con un batido de mango. El matrimonio que lo lleva es muy amable. Nos hicieron de guías y chofer por un precio muy adecuado durante nuestra estancia, no solo en Dambula sino también en más lugares del país. La habitación muy limpia y cómoda. Recomendamos cenar en el hotel, ya que es espectacular la comida que cocinan. Estarán atentos a todo en todo momento! Si volvemos, repetiremos.

位置很棒，在丹布勒石窟寺园区的路边，环境幽静，第二天一早可以步行5分钟到石窟寺。房东提供的情绪价值很高，房东是夫妻俩，他们家就住在酒店旁边，丈夫有汽车，带着我们去狮子岩、做massage，并且陪同等待。妻子打理房间特别用心，有爱心花瓣铺在床上，而且让我们品尝了美味的家庭餐。早餐晚餐都是在房东家吃的，住宿体验非常棒

We absolutely loved our stay at Simoya. We originally stayed here on our way to Jaffna and ended up coming back again on the way back because we felt so comfortable and peaceful here. The owners and their family are some of the kindest and most loving people we met in Sri Lanka, they made us feel like we were at home and part of their family from the very first moment. The property itself is beautiful, surrounded by nature with a huge garden full of peace and tranquility. The rooms were very comfortable and the Wi-Fi was honestly one of the best we had during our entire trip around Sri Lanka. Breakfast was always fresh and delicious. They also helped us organize anything we needed during our stay, even my boyfriend’s birthday. The location is excellent as well, within walking distance of the Dambulla Cave Temple.

We showed up at Simoya Nature Park with no notice, but Madhu and Sanjee were extremely welcoming. The location was great - it felt like we were away from the bustle of the city, but it's a convenient walk to the caves. The room was gorgeous, the view from our balcony was lovely, and the breakfasts were delicious. We feel very lucky to have stumbled into such a great experience. Highly recommended.

We stayed for two nights and were truly very happy with our stay. Our room was spacious and clean, with a nice bathroom. The location is within walking distance to the Temple and surrounded by greenery, creating a peaceful atmosphere. There’s a lovely garden where you can enjoy breakfast, or you can have it on the balcony. Breakfast was very generous. The owners are incredibly kind and helpful. They gave us great local recommendations and even organized a day tour for us, which was perfect since we arrived completely without plans. It felt like everything had been thought of for us. This is definitely a place I would love to stay at again.

Our stay at Simoya Nature park was excellent. We received a very warm welcome from Madhu and her family, the room was beautifully presented, comfortable and clean. We had a lovely home cooked dinner and breakfast overlooking the beautiful garden, nothing was too much trouble. The location is a very convenient, short walk to Dambulla Cave temple.

They truly love their region, enjoy sharing stories about it, and know so much about the area. They were also happy to show us around many interesting places. Erg mooi, netjes en schone accommodatie. En daarnaast een super lief gezin die alles doen om het comfortabel te maken, alles vertellen over hun mooie land en heerlijk gegeten daar! Zeker doen als je daar verblijft. De eigenaar heeft ons een hele dag mee op toer genomen om alles in de omgeving te laten zien en alles uit te leggen. Het was echt fantastisch! Zou hier 100% zeker naar teruggaan mochten we nog een keer naar Sri Lanka gaan.

The rooms are very clean, and even the smallest details are well thought out. Breakfast is excellent. They helped me with every aspect of my stay. It's a very sweet and decent family business.

Madhu and Sangee were so kind and attentive. Lovely breakfast and comfy bed. The room and facilities look even better than in the photos. 2 minutes walk to the cave temples. Host took us to the wholesalers market and dropped us at Sigiriya Rock for a fair price. The hosts should charge more for the room.

Questa è la scelta migliore che potessimo fare per soggiornare a Dambulla. Peccato essere rimasti una sola notte, credo sia stata decisamente la camera più bella dove abbiamo pernottato nelle nostre due settimane in Sri Lanka. Madhu e la sua famiglia sono adorabili, attenti ad ogni dettaglio e a far sentire gli ospiti come a casa. La colazione è stata perfetta, la camera pulita e ampia. Madhu ed il marito ci hanno inoltre assistito anche nell’organizzazione dei vari spostamenti col driver. Se scegliete loro per pernottare in zona, dovete assolutamente andare a cena al Golden Rainbow restaurant, sono amici della proprietaria, qui abbiamo mangiato ad un prezzo irrisorio dei piatti fantastici, qui ho provato un Kottu che ancora lo sogno di notte!

La nostra camera era molto bella ed estremamente pulita , aveva tutti i comfort necessari, la posizione è ottima perché poco fuori Dambulla ma immersa nel verde. Los dueños son muy amable, simpáticos y disponibles. Madhu cuida todos los particulares con muy buen gusto. El desayuno optimo. La casa se encuentra al lado de las cuevas de Dambulla Nos ha encantado estar allí y ha sido la mejor habitación de nuestras 3 semanas en Sri Lanka.

En la ventana del baño estaría bien poner un vinilo para cristales, porque el muro es bajo.

We stayed at Simoya Nature Park and it was a truly wonderful experience. The location is perfect, just a few minutes’ walk from the Golden Temple, making it very convenient for visits. The family who welcomed us was incredibly kind and attentive, making us feel at home from the very first moment. On our arrival, we even found the room decorated with fresh flowers – such a thoughtful detail. The room was spotlessly clean, breakfast was delicious and very generous. All of this at an unbeatable value for money. I would highly recommend this guest house to anyone looking for an authentic and enjoyable stay in Dambulla.

Amazing hospitality from the hosts Sanjee and Madhu. They arranged our transport to and from our stay and Sanjee took us on an amazing day trip around all the key sights. We ate both evenings and the food was some of the best we had in all of Sri Lanka.

The showers were lukewarm and it would have been lovely to have tea or coffee served with breakfast (the juices at breakfast were amazing though).

We spent our first night in Sri Lanka here and it was amazing. The hosts welcomed us warmly and gave us everything we needed. Dinner and breakfast were delicious and the hosts were very kind and always smiling. We were tired from the flight and we had the best relaxing time here. Also, the house, the room and the surroundings were beautiful, full of monkeys and squirrels. If we come back to Sri Lanka one day, we will definitely stop here for a few days.

The attention to detail at Simoya far surpassed any hotel I’ve stayed in; not just in Sri Lanka, but anywhere in my travels. Every element of the stay was so thoughtfully considered, it truly took me by surprise. From the delicious breakfasts and dinners enjoyed on the calming balcony, to the restful night’s sleep on a very comfortable (Western-style) mattress, everything was perfect. I was even able to stream films easily using a Fire Stick, thanks to the strong and reliable Wi-Fi. Madhu and Sanjee have genuinely set the bar for hospitality. I initially came to visit the cave temple, but I’ll be returning for the experience of Simoya itself, 100%. Thank you both for such a memorable and restorative stay.

The room is clean and spacious. It is also very well appointed. It actually looks like it does in the photographs. The hosts are incredibly welcoming and even packed special treats for me to take to my son each day when I went to watch him play cricket. I can’t recommend this property highly enough.

The attention and care shown and given was outstanding. The room was modern and large.

If you are heading to Dambulla for sightseeing around the cultural triangle or otherwise book the Simoya Nature Park now! Sanjee and Madhu are the perfect hosts who really went above and beyond to make our stay great - even acting as tour guide and driving us to our next destination. The property is within walking distance to the Dambulla caves. The rooms are super clean, spacious and comfy. The highlight however was the breakfast (including beautiful fresh juices) and dinners which were amazing. We really couldn’t fault our stay at all.

The property was beautiful and the room was spacious, modern and well designed. But the real highlight was the husband and wife team, Madhu and Sanjee. They went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable. I felt so well taken care of—like coming home to family.

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Dambulla. The hotel location is very good. The view from the room was amazing. Having breakfast right in the middle of the nature was amazing. Hotel owner is very cute family and they were so helpful. Hotel owner also does Dambulla tour with his own car. So we had the tour with him and he knows every corner so he was very helpful guide as well. We went to lots of sightseeings with him, including Cave Temple, Sigiriya, Pidurangala rock and village tour, he knew every place that i had in my list so our tour in Dambulla was perfect. Also during the conversation they heard about our 10 year wedding anniversary and they did a nice touch and congratulated as the next day. We also took hotels airport transfer, and Ella transfer we did with hotel owner. Room was clean, breakfast was perfect, we also ordered dinner and it was super tasty and super big in portion. Everything was perfect

The room was really clean and looking quite well compared to some other places we were in Sri Lanka. I think in Dambulla it might be the best hotel at this price range. The owners are amazing people.

We had an exceptionally large clean room where our wonderful hostess had decorated the bed in flowers. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts and the food they provided was wonderful and all fresh including the fruit juices. We were a five minute walk to Dambulla cave and a 20 min drive from Lion Rock. I can not recommend this place enough with wonderful hosts.

Arrived as gusts, left as friends! Madhu and Sanjee are the sweetest, most kind family, they took care of us like of their own. Both are great cooks, breakfast and dinner delicious, and Sanjee was around driver for 4 days. They helped us with everything, it was perfect. Thank you!

The room was large and spotlessly clean. We had breakfast on the balcony while watching monkeys in the trees only a few feet away. Breakfast was excellent and our friendly hosts were delighted to organise two tours and our onward journey. It was a bargain.

We stayed for two nights at Simoya in February 2025. It was a very pleasant stay in a clean and comfortable room, with all the facilities for a short or longer stay. The breakfast was a treat, we particularly liked the pancakes with ‘pol pani’. The property has only two rooms at the moment; another two rooms are under construction. The owners, Madhu and Sanjeewa, are a delightful couple who try their best to look after their guests. They are willing to share their local knowledge with their guests without any hesitation. We wish them every success with their future plans for expansion.

Staying at Simoya was an exceptional experience. Madhu and her husband were incredibly attentive, friendly, and welcoming, making us feel as though we were staying with family. They provided us with helpful tips about the local area, which enhanced our visit significantly. The breakfast was diverse, featuring fresh fruits and traditional Sri Lankan specialties. Both breakfast and dinner were freshly prepared by Madhu, and everything was absolutely delicious. We especially enjoyed the fresh fruit juices. Our room was spacious, spotless, and tastefully decorated, with a cozy king-sized bed. The large window in the bathroom overlooking the garden added a beautiful natural touch to the space. One of the major highlights is the convenient location—just a short walk to the must-visit Dambulla Cave Temples. Overall, we highly recommend Simoya to anyone visiting Dambulla. A perfect 10/10 experience!

Breakfast so delicious and location is perfect

The breakfast was excellent. We were cooked a delicious traditional evening meal on the first night. The hosts were amazing, so friendly and hospitable. The accommodation was beautiful, the room was exceptional and spacious. All the little extras made our stay memorable. Thank you.

This lovely couple are one of the nicest people I have met in my 2 weeks stay in Sri Lanka. They are runing this place with all their heart and making it very enjoyable with all that small details you will find and appriacated there. Their providing 4 stars service for small budget. Very recomended.

Everything was wonderful from start to finish. Extremely welcoming and friendly hosts. A large and comfortable room with a balcony overlooking nature and decorated with fresh flowers. One of the best breakfasts we have had. Sanjee and Madhu are clearly highly motivated to give their guests the best experience possible and pay a-lot of attention to details which you wouldn’t normally find in places within this price range. A special place with special hosts- highly recommended.

This is wonderful place to stay. Madhu and Sanjee put their love and attention and detail into their two rooms. The breakfast , which varies every day, is made with love and care. ( fresh fruit juice, fruit, hoppers, curries and a sweet pancake or muffin or local specialty). They are both passionate about their food and the service that they give. The stay was perfect and we were lucky enough to meet their 3 children during our 3 night stay. We also had supper one evening, what a treat . It was about £8 / head . The stay was such good value at £30 / room/ night

Don’t be put off by what looks like a building site ( Jan 2025) They are building 2 more rooms above. Which will make 4 rooms in total. There is no noise at all from the building.

Excellent location in Dambulla. Very peaceful surroundings. The hosts are the friendliest people you will ever meet. So nice, attentive and warming. Breakfast is plentyful and of excellent quality and the hosts are more than happy to make you food in the evening which again was of excellent quality

We loved it here! Everyone who wants to have a great Time in the Jungle of Sri Lanka needs to stay here. Sanyi and Madhu are so friendly and caring people. They make great Breakfast & Dinner, organize fantastic Tours and care about your happiness all the time. We feel like we found new Friends on our journey. The best hotel on our trip. The owner is very nice. Great breakfasts with local dishes served on the terrace. Location 10 minutes from the entrance to the cave temples, on the sidelines in the greenery without city noise.
