I am impressed by the owner of this site. Inidka is such a great guy who helps in case of any request. He is so kind and super friendly. Accommodation is almost opposite of Cave Temple in second line of building which is quite. You can rest in the garden and go eating just on another side of the road to Baappa’s Tasy Roti run by local family. Anushka cooks so tasty food and prices are affordable even to backpackers. I can recommend this place to everybody who travel to Dambulla.

Struttura piccola ma molto accogliente! Il proprietario è super gentile e pronto a darti ogni consiglio sulle attrazioni della zona, da vero padrone di casa :) Ottima colazione, siamo rimasti davvero soddisfatti! Al Menara ci si sente come a casa.

Il giardino potrebbe essere più curato per dare un'immagine ancora più accogliente.

Indika is a great host, who tries to help you whenever possible :) Homemade breakfast is great, location also, just 5-10 mins walking to the Rock Temple. Great shower and mosquito net.

Hébergement situé tout près du temple et à 20 minutes en tuk tuk du rocher au lion.. Grandes chambres propres. L hôte propose ses services avec son tuk tuk ce qui est très pratique et à de bonnes propositions de visites, très arrangeant. Il nous a cuisiné de bons plats toujours avec gentillesse et qualité.

Un petit frigo dans la chambre serait approprié.

Che dire del nostro soggiorno? Tutto perfetto, alla nostra camera era appena stata aggiunta l’aria condizionata, la colazione é sempre stata fatta sul momento e buonissima. L’host é poi la vera chicca: gentilissimo, attento e sempre disponibile. Ci ha accompagnati in giro e consigliato dove mangiare e come organizzare le varie attività! Camera semplice ed essenziale ma pulita e con tutto ciò che serve. Super consigliato!

Cadre agréable et silencieux, personnel adorable, service tuktuk proposé avec gentillesse, chambres très jolies et spacieuses. Petit déjeuner très bon et copieux. Petit restaurant à quelques mètres à pied avec bonne cuisine pour le dîner. Situé à quelques mètres des grottes de Dambulla.

Une des deux chambres était sans climatisation et très chaude (ventilateur inefficace), parfait pour l'autre chambre avec climatisation fraîchement installée. Un des lits avait une latte qui tombait à chaque mouvement dans le lit.

The owner is very kind and do his best to make you feel confortable. He even uses his tuktuk to give you a lift to the bus station or the gold temple. The room is clean and the bed is confortable

The location is not the best and the room doesn’t have AC, but the passion and kindness of the owner compensate it

שהיתי כאן כמה ימים וזו הייתה חוויה נהדרת. אינדיקה הוא אדם מקסים, אדיב ונעים, ותמיד שמח לעזור בכל דבר. הוא גם מדריך טיולים נהדר – מקצועי, הגון ואמין, ומרגישים שהוא באמת רוצה שלאורחים שלו תהיה החוויה הכי טובה שאפשר. כל המשפחה מדהימה ומכניסת אורחים בצורה יוצאת דופן. מהרגע הראשון הרגשתי רצויה, והאווירה בבית הייתה חמה, נעימה ומשפחתית. החדרים נקיים ונוחים, האוכל מצוין, והמקום כולו מנוהל עם הרבה אכפתיות ותשומת לב לפרטים. תודה על האירוח הנפלא ועל כל החום והנדיבות. ממליצה מכל הלב לכל מי שמחפש מקום עם אנשים טובים ואווירה ביתית אמיתית.

Indika, Samadi und Menara bilden eine sehr freundliche und engagierte Gastgeberfamilie. Indika hat uns mit seinem Tuktuk zu sehr schönen Orten gefahren und verschiedene Ausflugsvorschläge gemacht. Ihre leckeren Frühstücks und Abendessen entsprechend der Küche von Sri Lanka, jedoch für uns in milderer Version, sind geschmacksvoll.

Nur zur Info und nicht als Kritik zu verstehen: die Zimmer verfügen über Ventilatoren jedoch keine AC. Als Europäer haben wir da schon mal eine Runde geschwitzt 😉

La famille d’accueil est très gentille et accueillante. Ils se sont rendu disponible et se sont adapté à nos envies. Ils nous ont accompagné à toutes les choses à faire et voir dans le triangle culturel, ce qui nous a grandement amélioré le séjour ! Le gérant a cuisiné pour nous des repas ainsi que des petits déjeuners succulents. La chambre correspond à la description. Tout était très bien merci beaucoup !

Good location. Host helpful even to the extent that he found us a wild elephant. Good knowledge of surrounding areas. We took a day tour with the owner that was amazing (off the beaten track)and good value. Breakfast, good and plenty of it. Owner made a lot of effort to make sure we were looked after. He even took us to the bus station and put us on the right bus for kandy

Room very basic and smelt a bit damp. Although we understand it was because of recent flooding. Saying this it was very good value

Die Familie ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Indico hat sich sehr viel Mühe gegeben & die besten Säfte selber gemacht. Für uns war es auf unserer Sri Lanka Reise die beste Unterkunft, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Auch wurde für uns die Organisation eines Tuktuk-Fahrers für einen Ausflug übernommen und Tipps für leckeres Essen gegeben.

Wer in einem kleinen, lokalen Umfeld übernachten möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Der Host ist äußerst freundlich und gibt sich große Mühe, alle Wünsche seiner Gäste zu erfüllen. Für uns hat er beispielsweise eine Safari für nur 25 € pro Person organisiert. Am Abend ist er sogar extra noch losgefahren, um Getränke für uns zu besorgen. Ein wirklich sehr aufmerksamer und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber, bei dem man sich sofort Willkommen fühlt.

Die Unterkunft hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Sie liegt in der Nähe des Höhlentempels. Es war sehr sauber. Das Zimmer ist gross mit genügend Ablage und einem Lichtschalter und Steckdose am Bett. Das Bad ist sehr schön mit warmer Dusche. Die Familie ist sehr nett. Nach der Ankunft bekam ich gleich einen Tee und nachmittags eine frische Zitronenlimonade. Das Frühstück war extrem lecker mit Hoppers. Man bekommt auch Restaurant Empfehlungen. Nur ein paar Meter weiter ist das Restaurant Sandras, wo ich sehr gut gegessen habe.

Extremely warm welcome and ultra kind service throughout my stay. Mister picked me up from the bus stop and took me into town in the evening. He also drove me to Sigiriya in his tuk tuk for a good price. The Sri Lankan breakfast was exceptional

Abbiamo vissuto un soggiorno davvero autentico e super piacevole! La struttura si trova a pochi minuti di tuk tuk dal centro di Dambulla e, appena arrivati, il proprietario è venuto personalmente a prenderci: un’accoglienza così ti fa sentire subito a casa 😊 La zona è tranquilla, con qualche ristorante e piccole attività nelle vicinanze, e in circa 15 minuti si raggiunge il tempio più importante. La casa è accogliente, la stanza grande, il letto comodissimo e la pulizia più che buona. L’ospitalità è stata il vero valore aggiunto: una famiglia splendida, simpatica e sempre disponibile, che ci ha letteralmente coccolati rendendo il nostro viaggio ancora più speciale. Grazie al proprietario e alla sua organizzazione impeccabile, siamo riusciti a scoprire le meraviglie di questa zona dello Sri Lanka senza pensieri. Abbiamo fatto l’escursione (in compagnia di una simpatica coppia Francese) a Sigiriya con safari subito dopo: divertentissima, soprattutto per l’avventura in 4x4! Elefanti visti da vicino 😍 anche se un po’ troppo affollato (gli animali comunque sono abituati alla presenza dell’uomo). Ci hanno organizzato anche una giornata nella città vecchia di Polonnaruwa e un’ultima visita al tempio di Dambulla: tutto perfetto. Colazione super abbondante — per un italiano forse anche troppo! — ma abbiamo apprezzato tantissimo l’impegno e la cucina locale proposta. Succhi freschi ottimi, tè e acqua sempre disponibili. In 15 giorni abbiamo cambiato diverse strutture, ma questa è stata senza dubbio quella dove ci siamo sentiti più accolti. La consigliamo davvero e ci torneremmo volentieri! Note negative? Davvero pochissime: solo il sistema di riscaldamento dell’acqua in bagno (presente sul 99% delle case dello Sri Lanka), diverso da quello a cui siamo abituati, ma ci si fa subito l’abitudine. Per il resto, tutto benissimo! Un grazie di cuore a Indica (spero di aver scritto bene tuo nome!), a sua moglie e alla figlia Menara, simpaticissima e fortissima a UNO! 🥰

Ruhig gelegen, familiäres Umfeld Gutes Frühstück!

Aufgrund der starken Regenfälle vor unserer Ankunft war das Zimmer sowie das Bett recht feucht und vom Vermieter wurde angekündigt das Schimmel ganz normal sei. Der Vermieter ist wirklich sehr caring, was uns etwas zu viel war. Kann aber auch an uns liegen, das wir nicht dauerhaft umsorgt werden wollen.

In questa struttura ci abbiamo lasciato davvero il cuore. Il Signore Indika che ci ha ospitato è stato estremamente gentile. Ci ha accolto a braccia aperta, ci ha dato i consigli migliori per come sviluppare al meglio il nostro tempo. Per non mancare ha organizzato un roud trip su misura per noi, ci ha accompagnato con il tuktuk a fare una escursione meravigliosa. Sono una famiglia alla quale puoi chiedere qualsiasi cosa e loro ti risponderanno sempre SÌ. La stanza era pulita, ordinata e c’era tutto il necessario. Se avevi bisogno dei tuoi spazi o di respirare bastava uscire dalla tua stanza e assaporare il silenzio della location. Grazie di cuore , A presto 🙏🏽

Petite guest house super tranquille. Le propriétaire est adorable, il nous a donné de nombreux conseils, nous a conduit en tuktuk et fait goûter des jus de fruits de son jardin. Nous recommandons à 200% !

La casa è immersa nel verde appena fuori Dambulla. La famiglia è meravigliosa, sono molto gentili e disponibili. La colazione abbondante e sempre diversa. L’host molto disponibile ha anche un tuk tuk e ti può accompagnare a prezzi ottimi a fare il giro di Sigirya e dintorni. Molto consigliato se si passa da Dambulla!

Great rooms right in the family garden. Great host who greets you with juices and is incredibly friendly and helpful. In addition, he drives you there with his tuktuk and has also brought us out of the city again. The temple is 5min away and everything is easily accessible! Everything was great. The guesthouse was close to main touristic attractions. The room was clean and comfortable enough, with all necessary services included. The included breakfast was delicious and it changed daily. The great added value of this place was the family that hosted us. We couldn’t have expected anything better from our first house in Sri Lanka. They were super welcoming and friendly. We had the chance to know about their country through their tales and eyes. What a lovely experience and such cute people, highly recommended. We really wish them good luck with their small family business and will recommend them to other people.

La città in sé non offre moltissime attrazioni, é punto di appoggio per visitare la zona. Zona un po' umida, il ventilatore della camera la notte aiuta a dormire.

La amabilidad del anfitrion y su predisposicion para ofrecer cosas a hacer, consejos y recomendaciones para todo el viaje. Hicimos un tour precioso a Sigiriya y los almuerzos de comida local eran extraordinarios. 3 noches increibles. Un 10!

Die Unterkunft liegt in einer ruhigen Umgebung. Die Familie ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war sehr reichlich, lokal, gesund und vielfältig. Bei jedem Problem oder Frage konnte man sich an den Gastgeber wenden. Dambulla ist ein sehr guter Ausgangspunkt für weitere Ausflüge oder Reise durch Sri Lanka.

Warto posłuchać właściciela i jego rad dotyczących zwiedzania, pokazuje najlepsze miejsca i punkty widokowe, a dodatkowo świetnie fotografuje 😊

The owner and the family are extremely kind and available for any need: fresh juices, talks, driver and guide (with secrets spots), tips about the trip, little stories about local people… it was a pleasure meet them! L’accoglienza del proprietario di Menara Green Inn ci è rimasta nel cuore. Oltre a portarci ovunque con il suo tuk tuk gratuitamente, ci ha fatto fare un meraviglioso giro panoramico intorno a Lion Rock e Pidurangala, attraverso le campagne locali e la giungla. Ci è anche stato di enorme aiuto in una situazione problematica. La colazione tipica era ottima e abbondante, la struttura è immersa nel verde e molto vicina all’ingresso del Cave Temple e del Golden Temple.

La zona immediatamente attorno alla struttura non sembra accogliente quanto il Menara Green Inn ma è tutto sommato tranquilla. La doccia allagava un pochino il bagno.

ダンブッラやシギリヤロック方面に行かれる方は是非滞在をおすすめします。私は2日間滞在しました。 コロンボからダンブッラまで5時間かけてバスで移動したのですが、オーナーのインディカがバス停まで迎えに来てくれました。その他にもディナーに行きたい時やバス停に行きたいとき、トゥクトゥクで送迎してくれます。 到着するとフレッシュジュースをご馳走してくれました。朝ごはんも用意してくれて、ここのフルーツはフレッシュで美味しいし（オーナーが農場を持っているそうです）、料理も美味しいです！ 私は詳細なプランを持たずにこの土地に訪れたのですが、格安でピドゥランカラロックやシギリヤロック周辺の周遊とサファリがセットになった1日を用意してくれます。とっても良い1日になりました。 お部屋はファンのみですがとても清潔で、家自体が涼しいのでエアコンの苦手な私みたいな人はむしろ良いと思います。ドライヤーも貸してくれます。 何よりホストの家族がとても暖かく、スリランカの良さがぎゅっと詰まったホステルでした。おすすめです。

Serdecznie polecam zatrzymanie się w Menara Green Inn. Lokalizacja jest idealna, jeśli chce się zwiedzić jaskinie. Pokój był czysty, a łóżko bardzo wygodne. Ale najlepszą częścią pobytu była rodzina gospodarzy. Bardzo mili i pomocni ludzie. Zostalam przywitana najlepszym jak dotąd na Sri Lance sokiem z marakui, a wieczorem herbatką. Śniadanie było obfite i bardzo smaczne - lokalne przysmaki. Gospodarz podwiózł mnie swoim tuktukiem do miasta, na kolację i na autobus do Kandy ;) Dziękuję za gościnę ❤️

De host is ontzettend meedenkend. Hij heeft goede tips voor lokale, goedkope eettentjes en neemt je graag mee op tours door het gebied voor een kleine bijdrage. Hij heeft ons ook vaak gratis gebracht en opgehaald van onze lunch of dinerlocatie. Wat ons het meest positief is bijgebleven is dat we echt werden opgenomen in het gezin en we voelden ons thuis. Dankjewel!

We felt at home in this accommodation. The location is wonderful, situated near the main temple. The atmosphere is peaceful, allowing us to relax after a long day of exploring with a cup of tea. The owners are very friendly and helpful; they provided us with many useful tips and assisted us with various matters. The food was delicious, and every day we enjoyed a different, generous local breakfast.

Me encantó la estancia en este hotel e incluso lo alargué un par de días. La casa es super bonita, en plena naturaleza e Indika y su mujer son encantadores. Preparan los mejores desayunos de Sri Lanka, me dejaron un pañuelito para ir a los templos y se preocupaba por venirme a buscar en su tuc tuc y llevarme al centro. También te recomienda visitas e incluso nos llevó a Sigirya pasando el día con nosotras por muy buen precio. Muy cerquita andando del templo de oro y se puede acceder a Sigirya y Pollonaruwa cómodamente. Una experiencia muy recomendable!!!

Séjour exceptionnel ! Dans cette magnifique guest house, nichée dans un très beau jardin, ombragé, calme et apaisant ! Un vrai bonheur ! Nous n’avons pas de mots assez forts pour remercier nos hôtes pour leur bienveillance, leur générosité et leur sens de l’accueil ! La chambre et la salle de bain sont impeccablement propres. La literie est très confortable ! Nous avons dégusté un incroyable petit déjeuner, copieux, fait maison et très variés ! Mention spéciale pour les pancakes garnis à la confiture de noix de coco ! Un régal ! Sans oublier le jus de fruit de passion en cadeau de bienvenu, une attention toute particulière qui nous a beaucoup touchés. MERCI MERCI MERCI 🤩❤️

Located near the Golden Temple, in a quiet area, it offers rooms with very clean bathrooms and a mosquito net. The breakfast and drinks they offer are exceptional. We had a very good time here.

We had the most incredible experience at this place. The owners welcomed us with so much warmth and kindness, taking us to beautiful spots and giving us the chance to explore local places you’d never find on a typical tour. Their family was absolutely lovely — they made us fresh juices in a variety of flavors, and the breakfast was simply perfect: homemade local dishes prepared with so much care and love. The place itself is peaceful, surrounded by nature, and impeccably clean. Our stay couldn’t have been better — a perfect 10. Highly, highly recommended!

Der Besitzer war super freundlich und zuvorkommend. Er hat uns gratis zum Tempel und ATM gefahren. Für einen kleinen Aufpreis gab es sehr gutes selbst gekochtes Essen. Für den, der ohne Klimaanlage auskommt, ist das die ideale Unterkunft.

Der Gemeinschaftsbereich ist sehr klein aber gemütlich und sehr grün. Das Zimmer war schön und einfach eingerichtet. Das Bett war sehr bequem und besonders die Kissen waren ein Traum. Das Badezimmer war nornal und auch die warme Dusche hat gut funktioniert. Die Gastegeberfamilie ist mega lieb und zuvorkommend. Ich bekam 2 frische Smoothies und ein grosses Frühstück am nächsten Tag. Er hat mich auch fast überallhin gratis mit dem Tuktuk hingefahren. Sogar extra nach Dambulla in die Stadt für mein Abendessen. Da es dort viel günstiger ist. Da hat er mich zu einem tollen lokalen Restaurant gebracht, wo ich tatsächlich nur für 480LKR ein mega leckeres veg. Curry bekommen habe. Rundum sehr zufrieden, ich habe mich mega wohl gefühlt und werde es jedem weiterempfehlen.

Das Mückennetz war etwas zu klein und der Fentilator hat nicht so viel genützt. Es hat auch viele Mücken, wo sie aber natürlich nichts dafür können.

I travelled solo around Sri lanka for a month and of all the places I stayed this was by far my favourite. The two rooms in this homestay are attractive, well appointed, clean and really comfortable. Indika and Samadi, the proprieters, are amazing hosts that really know how to look after their guests. Expect free fresh juices through the day and a wonderful breakfast every morning. The family own a tuk-tuk and while Indika provides paid for excursions to destinations such as to the nearby Sigiriya rock fortress (which I also highly recommend) he is also happy to run you around town for free if you need to go shopping or eat out. I booked four days at Menara Green Inn and ended up staying for seven! Thanks so much to Indika, Samadi and Menara for looking after me and making me feel like one of the family. Hope to see you all again some day!

I had a really great stay here. Indika was a really great host, making a great breakfast every day and even dinner if I wanted, as well as driving me places like the bus station and restaurants. He was really thoughtful as well, and fun to talk to. The room was nice too, with a big Comfortable bed and a good bathroom. The room was pretty cool, even though it didn't have AC, and very clean too.

Csupaszív vendéglátók, Menara egy igazi angyal. 🤍 Házi készítésű reggelit kaptunk, a kertből szedték a mangót! 🤩 Minden kívánságunkra nagyon figyeltek. Szuper programokat szerveztek! Clean, spacious room with a very comfortable bed, pillows and mosquito net. Gorgeous shaded terrace area outside where you can see and hear many birds. The highlight was Indika and his wonderful family. They really go out of their way to make you at home. Indika gave me lifts into the town centre for dinner each night, and lifts to and from the bus stop free of charge. The breakfast is complimentary and delicious, fruits, hoppers and sweet pancakes and tea. Thank you so much Indika 🫶🏼

A little bit warm because there is no AC in rooms but it’s all written. Host was great, took us to few locations and arranged our trip to Kandy. Lovely garden and Menara is a lovely kid 😊

Il proprietario é molto gentile, arrivati la sera ci ha aspettato per festeggiare il suo compleanno insieme offrendoci la cena. Posizione buona. Colazione buona, camera con zanzariera e ventilatore.

The owner and his family are very welcoming and are happy to help with anything! He is a Tuktuk driver too and drove me around through all of Dambulla as a free of charge service. The breakfast was huge and kept getting bigger everyday. You really get a lot for the little money you pay.

Molto vicina al golden temple Il proprietario é stato molto gentile, ci ha accompagnato con il suo tuk tuk sia al golden temple che alla fermata del bus per la partenza,aspettando anche che salissimo sul bus corretto <3. Inoltre colazione tradizionale, abbondante e buona. Se volete disponibile anche la cena, noi ci siamo affidati a lui e le porzioni erano abbondanti e squisite. Stanza semplice,c’è solo il problema delle zanzare ma con la tenda non ci sono problemi durante il sonno. Non c’era il condizionatore d’aria ma il ventilatore, ma non é stato assolutamente un problema. La stanza era fresca.

Das Haus gehört einer Familie, die mich sofort total herzlich empfangen hat. Der Besitzer hat mir gleich zu Beginn einen Saft aus seinem eigenen Anbau gebracht, mir die Stadt gezeigt und sich wirklich Zeit für mich genommen. Das Frühstück war ganz toll! Es war der erste Stopp meiner Solo-Reise und ich bin sehr froh, diese Unterkunft dafür ausgewählt zu haben. Schöner hätte ich mir meine Ankunft nicht vorstellen können.

Bij aankomst waren we ietwat teleurgesteld. De kamer is zeer donker, geen AC, schimmel op het plafond en niet zo proper. Na 1 nacht vertrokken we toch met een goed gevoel. De host was heel behulpzaam, reed ons rond in zijn tuktuk en hielp ons de juiste bus te nemen. We speelden spelletjes met zijn dochtertje en het ontbijt was goed verzorgd.
