Well kept and clean
Great location, close to restaurants, NW supermarket, and UNITEC. Friendly host, just like stay at home. And LOVELY cat Pearl.
Such a peaceful spot, beautiful energy with a wonderful host. Epic shower in the upstairs bathroom. Super quiet, massive room. I love this place!
The parking can be very tight at times
My room was adorable, comfortable bed, good light, a haven. The centre has a tranquil atmosphere, and the host Jangchub is so welcoming, with such a serene presence. There was a great variety of nutritious and tasty foods to prepare, the kitchen was spotless and had everything one could possibly need. The bathrooms are new and are absolutely lovely.
Nothing!

Tranquillité et sérénité du lieu. Proche des transports pour Auckland centre par abus ligne 20 et train ligne West gare Morningside
Super comfy bed, friendly/welcoming and helpful staff. Peaceful vibe.
Nothing!
Lovely staff and awesome facilities.
Good vibes. Spacious. Modern facilities. Very friendly staff.
Great availability of varied breakfast. Fruit choice was tasty and interesting variety.
Clean, quiet, lovely atmosphere.
Good location, great facilities, well stocked kitchen .
Host went above and beyong assisting me while recovering from an injury, carrying my things inside. Generous access to fruit on donation.Beautiful furnishings
Loved Nyima Tashi - it was everything I needed it to be. Welcoming, peaceful and calm. Great shower! I woke super early and tip toed downstairs to make coffee, there was incense burning and I could see someone had been meditating. Very taken care of - thoroughly recommend.
It was beautiful and peaceful
A warm welcome and lovely clean accommodation in a peaceful setting.
A warm welcome and a peaceful environment.
Such a calm place that doesn't feel like you are in the city at all.
They offer all the facilities I need to feel at home, such as a kitchen, a washing machine, a vacuum cleaner, a hair dryer and towels.
The property overlooks a busy road, and I occasionally experienced noise.

The host is incredible and the peace and serenity of the home is unmatched. I stayed here that was much further for the conference I attended simply becuase of the high standard and quality.
So welcoming, loved it!
オーナーさんがとてもいい方で親切にして頂けました。 共同キッチンで冷蔵庫にある食材は何でも使って食べてくれていいよと言ってもらいました。 チェックアウトまでのんびり過ごさせて頂きました。

Nothing - Amazing
Lovely room in a very peaceful Buddhist Centre. Ani our host could not have been more helpful.
Beautiful fittings, charming host
They left plenty of food to serve ourselves.
As it is a Buddhist Monastery, it would not be appropriate for many people.
Great breakfast, public bus stop is close to the Nyima Tashi Buddhist Centre. Very relaxing place with a beautiful shared bathroom. The place is spotless and the garden serene. Wonderful place to relax.
Helpful host, ambience of the room and bathroom are great, well stock pantry and fridge for breakfast, quite room with nice view. Easy to get to by public transit. Grocery store is walking distance.
Good breakfast with lots of options. Food is fresh, with fresh local fruits.
Excellent breakfast, lots of variety and options
It is a bit far from central
Quiet, comfortable place. Peaceful. Exactly what I was looking for. Felt right at home .. like we were a guest at a friend's home rather than a paid accommodation. Had free run of the kitchen, which was very nice.
Bathroom was shared, but there was hardly anyone else in the house so never an issue.
An oasis out of the hustle and bustle of activity. Helped me slow down. Annie was so calm 😌 about everything. Definitely return.
Can be a little bit noisy with big junction outside . But everything else more than makes up for it 💯 percent
Very peaceful and relaxing Extremely clean
Our host was very welcoming, even at 2.30am! We felt very at home straight away, and it was the perfect place to relax and recover after a very long flight. Nyima Tashi is very comfortable and clean, with excellent shared kitchen and bathroom facilities. Very happy we stayed here, will come again and recommend to anyone visiting Auckland.
This is my favorite place to stay in Auckland . It is incredibly peaceful and serene. The host couldn't be more welcoming and helpful. It is absolutely spotless and although there is a shared bathroom you wouldn't know it as its kept so clean. The value is amazing! We are going to make this an annual trip we love it so much!
Nothing
A very peaceful and serene accommodation that I was lucky to find.
I loved discovering a true sanctuary in the city
Allergies to cats in my room
Calm, quiet, welcoming. So beautifully hidden and serene in the middle of a lot of chaos. Such a lovely safe space. Like nowhere we have ever stayed before. The rain outside our bedroom through the trees was just stunning and so cosy to watch.
I’m sad we couldn’t stay longer!
Anne is very welcoming. Feels like home being there. The shower is great too.
what wasn't to like? easy access to motorways and major roads, serene, welcoming, clean, so peaceful, fabulous bathroom, lot's of hot water, huge kitchen, even though at a busy intersection very quiet, no children. All up a wee spot of calmness in a bustling city.
the turn into the driveway, but once you knew where it was, easy.
Very welcoming, lovely homely feeling. The bathroom was big and spacious, the bedroom was a good size, amazing kitchen and although I didn't use any, there were lots of foods etc you were invited to help yourself too. Perfect for my one night stay while on a course.
The only down side was a bit of occasional noisy traffic at the lights as it is situated at an intersection and I was staying Saturday night.
Another great stay! The host did a huge tidy up, so the room I stayed in (and other facilities) were very clean! :D It was convenient for me to use the bathtub and kitchen facilities without impeding on others. There was a generous selection of breakfast food. Thank you once again~
The weather wasn't so great on one of the days I stayed, but that has nothing to do with the property.
Very spacious and clean. Annie welcomed us and toured us quickly, showing where to get coffee and food. Their pantry was well packed. The bathroom was large and very very clean.
The only down side is that the bathroom is shared and the people we shared it with was not very clean. But please know that this is not the property's fault.
Some breakfast ingredients were available however full use of kitchen. Location was short walk to shops and restaurants and railway station.
Everything! Was lovely.
Nothing
Great vibes, great host.
I've visited before and the same applies this time: - bathtub - generous variety of fruits, breakfast foods and other food items by donation (koha/dana) - close proximity to groceries (and eating out) - easy enough to get to by bus (and the Western Line train) - welcoming and friendly host
I noticed there was some mould on the ceiling of this room (the Retreat room/smallest room). I brought it up to the host and they explained that due to the location of this room in the house that mould comes back. There are working bees that are scheduled and it sounded like at the next one that this concern would be addressed. I hope this happens before the winter weather worsens the mould since I really like this room overall.
Superb location. Amazing people living there. Very peaceful vibe. The two neighbour cats made it even better. Huge kitchen with all needed amenities. Fridge space. Two big bathrooms. Bathtub. Cozy bed, medium pillows. Garden. All in all, so very beautiful.
The door locks were a bit tricky to figure out, but all doable :)
Really quiet and clean . Rooms are spacious
Lovely host. Very welcoming. Peaceful, serene space. Great choice of breakfast items. Very generous.
This was my third visit and second time staying in the single room. There's was a heater available in the room, which was nice. This time for breakfast, there were a lot of seasonal fruits available, as well as 3 types of bread and yoghurt varieties to choose from. The bathtub was excellent to relax in and the bathroom facilities were still very clean. There were a couple of cats from the neighbourhood that visited, which I enjoyed patting. Friendly staff/residents and also a nice mix of friendly travellers :)
Again, a little bit of traffic noise from St Luke's Road, but I brought earplugs.
The staff were very friendly and attentive. Contacted me the night prior to checking in to ask about time and then did so on the day as we were running late for check-in time. The rooms were tidy, comfortable, and large size. Absolutely value for money. Lovely clean and bright bathrooms, brilliant shower pressure with liquid body wash for guests to use. I stayed in the retreat room myself. The donation breakfast was brilliant. Lots of cereal selection, alternatice milk also provided, eggs and fresh fruit. You'll have to bring your own bread, though. Location is tucked away at corner of traffic lights, you would never know it was there. Very close to bus stops that can take you most places around Auckland. Easily under 30 min walk to Eden Park and Kingsland shops with lots of lovely food places. Quick 20min bus ride over to Mt Eden too. Under 30 min bus ride into Britomart. The road noise didn't bother me at all, just bring some ear plugs and you'll be sweet.
If you are quite sensitive to smells, the inscenes might bother you, but I got used to them pretty quickly.
Excellent location - close to Eden Park. Very clean and tidy. Even though no bathroom in rooms, bathroom was always free when we needed it
No bathrooms in rooms, but knew that when we booked. Bathroom was always free when we needed it.
It was spotless clean!
I had a hard time closing the entrance door without making too much noise.
This was my second stay and my first time staying in the single room (great value!). Same comments as before, where the self service breakfast was generous and the shared bathroom was maintained up to a high standard.
There was a little bit of traffic noise, but I brought earplugs with me so it wasn't a big deal.
Friendly, welcoming and great facilities
Really nice atmosphere, very quiet and calm. Lots of options for breakfast. Lovely staff, very welcoming. Beautiful rooms and bathrooms (with a bath !), all very clean. Beautiful garden, nice green feel.
I guess as it is near an intersection you do hear a bit of traffic noise.
I liked everything this place has to offer
excellent - highly recommend for quiet stay!
Comfortable and friendly.
We were surprised that fish was being cooked in the shared kitchen of a Buddhist Centre. We had expected a vegetarian or, even better, a vegan policy.
Very comfortable, clean, friendly host
It was really great to stay there! I will be back:)
Great chill place, super clean, friendly peoples
Our stay was just amazing. The house is beautiful and clean and the people were just cooperative and helped us with everything. The bed is comfy and the rooms clean. You can use the kitchen and have a good choice of food for breakfast. There is a shopping mall nearby and the train station is just a five minute walk. You can easily reach the CBD within half an hour. We would recommend this place to everybody as it is just a peaceful and beautiful place to stay!
