Wonderful stay, owners are really good. Safe and secure. Made it feel like home. Highly recommended for safe and homely stay in South Goa.

The location is excellent and feels very safe especially for women. The host is friendly, communicates well and creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Drinking water should be provided free of charge. Also, the nearby cafes and restaurants were not very impressive although that may have been because we didn't get a chance to explore more options.

Owner is very nice & cooperative.100 m away from palolem beach.

Need a TV in room. Location is extremely south part of beach. Palolem main beach road is reached by only vehicle but not walk.

The rooms are quiet and have great aircon which is essential for the area. It was great that the fridge had been loaded with 1.5L bottles of water priced at a very very reasonable £0.12 each. This was great as it meant you didn’t need to constantly ask for more water each day. We checked in at 12.30am and the staff had stayed up and had closed all the curtains in the rooms and turned on the aircon prior to our arrival so it was cool before we went to sleep. This was great service. Access to the beach is a 30 second walk so you’re not missing anything by staying there.

Everything. Made to feel welcome. Can't beat the location. A very clean room and clean around the building. A must stay. We will be returning.

Enjoyed our stay at Hilias Retreat. The owners were lovely and location was perfect, 30 second walk to the beach.

The room was fairly well sized but the bed was not comfortable, very hard. The bathroom / wet room was poorly designed, water from the shower would go everywhere including on the toilet and it took a long time to dry. Would hope that they would provide better toiletries for the price paid and more frequent housekeeping

Excellent location. Right across the street from the beach, walking distance to everything. The hosts and thier little dog Puglin were a delight. Exceptionally helpful and friendly. My room was spacious, bed was comfortable and fridge with stocked water was an added benefit. Also no bugs or mosquitos. Above all, the vibe was very calm and welcoming. The host went above and beyond to help me with a lost luggage issue as well as to organize transport to nearby beaches. I felt extremely welcomed during ny stay. Highly recommend this hotel!

Small room, not enough room to unpack. Shower was hot but not enough power. Price was high compared to equivalent rentals booked independently in the Palolem beach area.

Loved the new spacious room, it looked out onto the back courtyard area which gave it welcome shade rather than sun beating in. Reena our host was charming, her staff were organised and friendly and her pet Pug was a delight for us. Bottles of water were well stocked in the fridge at 20rupees each. Hilias Retreat is well situated a short stroll to the beach which was close enough but far enough away from the busy beach scene

The room is newly renovated equipped with new furniture and appliances. AC and warm water in the shower available. Both room and bathroom were clean and relatively spacious. Little patio upfront with view on inner yard. The location is excellent, two minutes from the beach yet quiet at night. Good value, definitely recommended.

Из плюсов. Постельное белье и полотенца чистые, в номерах чисто, плесени в ванной нет, стены крашенные, тоже чистые. В холодильнике много бутылок воды, платной. Хорошее освещение в комнате. Есть балкон, можно посидеть, но вечером опять-таки полно комаров.

Мы жили в двух номерах, оба выходили на вход в отель, на улицу. Первый номер был на втором этаже, очень маленький, для двоих человек тесный, неудобный, напора воды нет, настроить среднюю температуру в душе мы так и не смогли, то холодная, то кипяток, и еле еле бежит, причем владельцы в курсе проблемы и только руками разводят, вместо того чтобы насос поставить. Звукоизоляции нет вообще, шум из коридора, по утрам орали петухи. Попросили отменить бронирование и вернуть деньги, естественно нам отказали, ссылаясь на букинг. Поменяли номер. Номер на первом этаже чуть больше, с выходом на улицу. Здесь все тоже самое: шум с улицы, лаяли собаки, орали какие-то птицы, каркали вороны, такое ощущение, что дверей и окон нет вообще. Мы плохо спали все три ночи. Оба номера старые, мебель старая и скрипит, шкафы еле живые, сантехника старая и вся подтекает, двери в туалет вообще непонятно из чего сделаны, холодильник старый, шумный и ржавый, приходилось его отключать на ночь. Плюс постоянно отключался интернет и свет. Телевизора нет. В комнатах очень душно, открыть окна невозможно, потому что нет москитных сеток и сожрут комары. Такая мелочь вроде бы, и того нет. В туалете жалюзи на окне не работают, они всегда открыты и полно комаров, дверь в туалет надо держать закрытой постоянно. Вроде и стараются владельцы, но у них что-то не получается. Люди приветливые и вроде услужливые, спросили надо ли нам чайник - предоставили, но ребята, сейчас этого уже не достаточно. Цена не соответствует качеству предоставляемых условий проживания. Большой плюс - это близость к пляжу, но если честно лучше рассмотреть другой отель пусть и дальше от моря, если хотите нормально спать. В отеле вроде и нет ничего критичного и прям ужасного, но за те примитивные и некомфортные условия проживания, что отель предоставляет, тридцати долларов в сутки он точно не стоит. Откуда столько восторженных отзывов я не понимаю, видимо доброжелательность владельцев перевешивает минусы по факту.

Rina und Fernandes Hilias, die Eigentümer von Hilias Retreat, sind unglaublich freundliche und hilfsbereite Persönlichkeiten. Immer bereit zu einem Gespräch ist es eine Freude ihnen zu begegnen. Die beiden Mädchen Asheta und Bhavya kümmern sich um die Appartements und halten das Retreat picobello sauber. Wishwas aus Nepal hilft mit seinen 19 Jahren mit wo Hilfe gebraucht wird und strahlt viel Freude aus. Insgesamt ist die Anlage sehr gepflegt, es handelt sich um gemauerte und betonierte Häuser mit hervorragenden Betten, wunderbaren Bädern und schönen Balkonen. Absolut ruhig und trotzdem eigentlich direkt am Strand. Wissen muss man das alle gegenüberliegenden Resorts im Wesentlichen aus Holzhäusern bestehen die recht eng zusammen stehen. Eigentlich wenig Privatsphäre vorhanden. Anders ist es im Hilias, deshalb würde ich es jedem Besucher wärmsten empfehlen hier ein Zimmer zu bekommen.

Super accueil, chambre spacieuse et propre. Bons conseils pour le séjour. Ils nous ont proposé une bouilloire avec thé et café, la chambre est équipée d'un frigo avec des bouteilles d'eau à prix raisonnable.

Die Lage ist top! Super zentral, aber trotzdem sehr ruhig. Schönes Zimmer mit super Balkon nach hinten raus. Bett gut, Bad gut. Auch ein Kühlschrank war vorhanden. Sehr nette Besitzer, die sich echt kümmern. Insgesamt gesehen eine klare Empfehlung!

Great one night stay Hilias waited up for us too arrive about 1130pm ,comfy bed ,clean n tidy ,tea,coffee and a kettle provided which was an added bonus after a huge travel day

Good location, wonderful staff and tidy room. Felt safe and secure. All in all good value for money.

Shower could have been better. It was hot but a little low pressure and took some fiddling to find the sweet spot. That’s all.

Family run was met on arrival by the owner and his wife. Very friendly staff and service.

Great location opposite Palolem beach, but at the quieter end of the beach. Comfortable bed & fridge in room. Good sized balcony. Easy access to room via outside stairs.

Bathroom very small (but, in fairness, knew about this at time of booking) Had to pay for bottles of water used, when in all other properties we stayed in, it was free.

Great air-conditioning and also a ceiling fan. Loved the location one street back from the beach restaurants. Staff very friendly , owner/ manager very helpful and informative.

Excellent accomodation and great hosts. Hilias and his wife were very helpful and lovely. They sorted out taxi for us to get to the airport and also scooter rentals. The accomodation is only 2 min away from the beach and had everything we needed, comfortable bed and a beautiful palm view balcony. We had 2 large suitcases and 2 cabin and the size of the room was just right.

It was such a great place and location

Perfect location with beach and restaurants within 3 mins walk from hotel. Couple who ran the hotel were very kind and friendly. Super relaxed and helped us whenever we had some questions. Room was perfect, small but with all amenities and most importantly very clean, with a cute balcony facing the front of the property.

The owners are very nice,friendly and helpful. It was great to be able to park and we loved the towels, location and the pugs! Everything was clean and tidy.

Hilias and his wife are very welcoming and helpful owners, we can highly recommend staying at their place! We have stayed there 3 times and will return for sure! The villa is close to the beach and the rooms are very clean, would recommend the rooms with front view balcony.

The hosts were so helpful when we thought we had lost one of our phones, luckily it turned up. They were also so helpful trying to sort out our Goa Mile's taxi, which failed to turn up. RIna sorted an alternative taxi to our next destination. Thank you so much.

The room was a bit tired and perhaps could do with a little update. However, it did not spoil our stay at all.

Close to the beach, but set back enough to be very peaceful and quiet. Good quality linen and towels, kettle for room was a plus.

Great hosts, perfect location. A stones throw away from the beach. Our room had a great balcony as we were on the 2nd floor but every room had a balcony. Fridge, air con and fan. WiFi was fab.

The shower was not working properly. Boiler did not give a lot of warm water and also not a alot of water comes out of the shower head. Also bit of a dark room due to the only window being covered.

The location of the property is infront of Palolem beach. The property was very easily accessible, very clean surrounding along with all necessary amenities you name it. Specially the host Mrs and Mr Hilias were very cooperative and helpful. It felt like home away from home.

An amazing little guest house in the area of Palolem. Basic but very clean and perfect for every need when stopping in the area. 2 mins from the beach an dvery quiet at night. Owners are just fabulous helping with laundry, scooter hire, recommendations etc. I've stopped here multiple times of the past years

Hilias and his lovely wife along with their 2 gorgeous Pugs, make this guest house super special. They are so genuinely warm, and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for them. Hilias offered to run my husband to the pharmacy in the next town, and made phone calls for us to help arrange our onward travel. The guest house is really well located, with restaurants and shops and taxis available just outside the door. The beach is accessible in one minute, by walking a path directly opposite Hilias Retreat. Our family room was very clean and spacious, the beds and pillows were fresh and comfortable, decent towels were also provided. it has a generous sized patio with table and chairs, overlooking the garden. We had plenty of hot water, tea and coffee making facilities, a fridge with bottled water, a ceiling fan in each room and good air con in the bedroom. The location is quiet and peaceful, we slept very well.

We had a fantastic stay at Hilias Retreat, the room was exactly as described, very comfortable and very clean and only 2 min walk to the beach but still quiet at night. The quickest way to walk to the beach is through Coco Cabana resort and we used their sun beds every day, the staff are very friendly and sun beds are free of charge if you order a drink or some food. Hilias also helped us to organise an airport transfer from Dabolim airport for INR 2200. We would highly recommended staying at Hilias Retreat.

Very friendly owners very helpful with everything

The room was much simpler than expected especially for the cost, the balcony really was just a view over the car park and I had expected it to be more of a garden retreat than simply a house with a car park in front. It wasn't the fault of the owners but there was much building work going on on both sides it made for a not very relaxing stay. Ultimately you will get much better value with a beachside room - do the research.

The Location was great- just a few Steps from the Beach. The room was cosy, good with a/c and fan. The balcony was also great. We could exchange Money here.

The pillows and mattress protection were mouldy. Room was quite small for the Price, considering that we stayed in similar price accommodation with rooms double the size in different areas- but I guess this is because Palolem is touristy. Wi-Fi is slow, not suitable for Video Calls.

Thanks so much for a great stay - Hilias and family are great hosts and lovely to chat to, they really made our time here! Location to the beach is perfect and plenty of food options nearby.

We had an amazing experience at Hilias Retreat - room with a balcony, very clean room overall, especially towels and linen, also small cleaning in the middle of our stay was included. Location is good, a lot of shops, cafes, restaurants with good food. Small fridge in a room - big plus.

Only one thing - slow wifi. Not the most important thing there as mobile data could be enough, but still.
