Wij vonden het een geweldig fijn hotel. Zeer aardige eigenaren die erg behulpzaam zijn en goed voor je zorgen. Het ontbijt behoort tot het allerbeste wat we gegeten hebben in Sri Lanka. De kamers zijn ruim en schoon. Het zwembad is mooi en heerlijk gelegen. Weleges ligt ook in een rustige straat van Hikkaduwa. Voor ons was het een van de allerbeste hotels in Sri Lanka. Ik hoop er nog een keer naar terug te gaan.

Unsere Erwartungen an diese Unterkunft wurden weit übertroffen. Wir waren schon einige Male in Sri Lanka mit immer wechselnden Hotels, aber hier war wirklich alle erstklassig. Die Sauberkeit und die Ausstattung der Zimmer, der Service mit Handtüchern für Pool und Strand, das abwechslungsreiche Frühstück, die Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter, besonders die Herzlichkeit und Liebe des Besitzers und seiner Schwester, mit der dieses Hotel geführt wird. Alles war gut durchdacht und perfekt umgesetzt. Die Bahnlinie die in der Nähe der Anlage vorbeiführt hat uns nicht gestört. Restaurants gibt es in der Nähe und auch entlang der Hauptstraße, wo sich auch der Fischmarkt befindet und Obst und Gemüse frisch vom Händler gekauft werden kann. В любое время вам готовы накрыть стол из принесенных продуктов, помыть и почистить фрукты, предоставить посуду. Отзываются на любую просьбу. Для пляжа и бассейна выдаются отдельные полотенца. Однозначно рекомендую

Отдыхали с друзьями в течение 10 дней. Хозяева позаботились и у нас были смежные комнаты с великолепной общей террасой. В каждой комнате есть кондиционер, вентилятор, фумигатор, переходники для розеток, душ с горячей водой, унитаз с функцией беде, чайник с чайными принадлежностями, телевизор со спутниковыми каналами, очень комфортными кроватями и уютным постельным бельем. У каждого было по две подушки, на любой вкус. По нашей просьбе нам предоставили одеяла. На территории отеля есть бассейн, лежаки с зонтиками, территория утопает в цветах, при этом есть место для парковки. Бассейн всегда чистый, душ с пресной водой, около бассейна. Возвращаясь с пляжа вы всегда сможет ополоснуть ноги от песка в специально оборудованном месте. Полотенца для пляжа и бассейна выдаются. Рядом проходит одноколейная железная дорога, но мы забыли о ее существовании абсолютно. Ни разу не помешала. Локация отеля оптимальна: рядом продаются вкуснейшие блинчики, пляж с черепахами и спокойным морем слева от отеля, пляж для серфинга и купания с волнами и снорклинг - справа. Рыбий рынок в десяти минутах ходьбы. Мы постоянно покупали свежую рыбу и морепродукты на рынке, там же нам их вкуснейшим образом готовили, а уже поеданием мы занимались в ресторане отеля, где нам заботливо сервировали стол. Завтраки это самостоятельная фишка отеля. Вначале завтрака нам подавали фреш на выбор, после обязательно - тарелка с разными фруктами, затем тосты с маслом, джемом и сыром, после этого на выбор глазунья, омлет или скрамбол . Помимо этого, Анура каждый день умудрялась приготовить нам помимо вкуснейшего завтрака еще и разные блинчики, вафельки, тортики. Хозяева отеля постоянно подсказывали где можно вкусно поесть локальной еды, что-то необходимое для нас купить или посмотреть. Мы точно вернемся и друзей привезем!

Отличное местонахождения. Чуть в глубине от дороги,,там тише и прохладней. Большой , красивый и современный номер. Особенно огромная кровать с удобным матрасом. Большая терраса . Ухоженная территория, бассейн. Вкусные завтраки. И очень приветливый персонал. Есть трансфер до аэропорта. Поздравили с днем рождения , подарили торт и шарами украсили номер. Уборка каждый день . Без сомнения вернулись бы сюда ещё раз! Спасибо вам огромное!

Отличный современный и в то же время уютный семейный отель. Тут всего 8 номеров, что позволяет чувствовать себя вполне уединенно) Очень приветливый персонал. Очень вкусные и сытные завтраки. Есть бассейн, что весьма важно тут. До пляжа совсем не далеко. Отель на второй линии, но это только плюс. Не знаю, как живут те, кто на первой. Там вечная суматоха, пекло, автобусы гудят. В общем не очень. А тут прям оазис тишины и спокойствия)) Номер убирают каждый день, дают 2 бутылки воды тоже каждый день. На день рождения мужа подарили торт со свечами, надули нары и повесили флажки . Хотя в этот день нас даже не было. Уезжали в горы)🎈🎂🍰 Территория отеля очень ухоженная, чистая. Бассейн чистый. Полотенца для пляжа и для бассейна выдают . По ночам всегда дежурит охранник. В общем рекомендую. Если вернемся еще сюда, не сомневаюсь, что выберем этот же отель 🫶

Обратите внимание, что не выдают мини наборы личной гигиены .( зубные щетки с пастой, лосьоны, нитки и тд) Но мы пожили на Шри-Ланке в трех разных отелях, и нигде не давали. Так что это скорей не им минус, а в принципе, наверно тут так не принято )

Чистота в номере и на территории на высшем уровне, каждый день уборка в номере. Если что-то нужно дополнительно, вашу просьбу сразу услышат и выполнят. На завтраке много фруктов, яйца (омлеты и яичница), йогурт и сосиски, тосты с маслом и джемом. Сразу спросите про кратчайшмй путь к океану, он занимает 2 минуты. Если ходить через деревню, то вы увидите игуану, летучих собак, варана, множество птиц и мангуста, если повезёт. Разнообразие деревьев и плодов на них тоже радует глаз путешественника-любителя природы. Поезд слышно 1 раз около 17:00, но для нас было не критично.

Beautiful accomodation, in a fantastic location. Staff were soo friendly and helpful. Everywhere was immaculate. Breakfast was amazing. I can't rate this place highly enough. Definitely recommend.

La struttura è molto pulita e curata, il personale gentilissimo e la colazione molto buona e abbondante. La stanza e il bagno sono spaziosi e puliti. Forniscono asciugamani sia per la piscina che per il mare. La proprietaria è davvero molto gentile.

L’unica pecca sono le formiche: ne abbiamo trovate diverse in stanza, qualcuna anche sul letto…

Lovely hotel, staff are outstanding and are so friendly. Breakfast is amazing with pancakes, fruit eggs, toasts and juices. We often didn’t eat lunch as still so full. Rooms are lively and spacious. Pool is really nice a good size and quiet. Good location few mins walk to hikkaduwa beach with turtles and snorkelling to see fish. You can rent snorkel gear nearby. Nice restaurants within walking distance. Highly recommend this hotel

Heel rustig gelegen en toch vlakbij het centrum en het strand. Fijn zwembad. Mooiste, properste en beste hotel waar ik in verbleven heb tijdens mijn reis! Heel lekker ontbijt naar keuze. Voor de gastvrouw en haar personeel was niks teveel gevraagd om u te helpen. Persoonlijk tijdens mijn verblijf problemen gehad met mijn gsm! Ze hebben rond getelefoneerd en met me rond gereden tot er een oplossing was! Waar ik hen nogmaals voor wil bedanken voor al die moeite

Мы отдыхали второй год подряд в этом красивом отеле.Все было замечательно, номера чистые и красивые, новый современный бассейн, персонал очень внимательный и очень радушный.Для ребенка условия были очень комфортные.Если получится приехать на следующий год, я буду искать места в этот отель.Очень достойное место, до океана удобно добраться пешком .

Недавно побывал в отеле Weleges Place в Хиккадуве, выбрав вариант размещения с завтраками, и остался очень доволен своим выбором! Номер просторный, чистота поддерживается на высоком уровне, постель комфортная, благодаря чему сон был крепким и восстанавливающим силы. Завтраки — отдельная тема для похвалы. Каждое утро начиналось с ароматного кофе и разнообразия блюд: свежие фрукты, яйца, местные деликатесы, выпечка — выбор богатый и приятный. Завтраки сытные и качественные, заряжают энергией на весь день. Территория отеля зеленая и аккуратная, персонал вежлив и внимателен, атмосфера располагает к расслаблению. Обязательно порекомендую Weleges Place друзьям и знакомым, планирующим поездку в Шри-Ланку. Отличный выбор для тех, кто ценит спокойствие, хороший сервис и качественный завтрак перед началом нового увлекательного дня!

Very modern facilities set in beautiful gardens. The welcome was fabulous from Manju and Chandima and the booking in very easy. The room modern, large with a big terrace. The bed huge and comfortable and the bathroom and shower excellent . The pool area was lovely with orchids in pots adorning the walls. Breakfast was served outside in the reception area and as everywhere in Sri Lanka was multiple choices cooked to order. What made breakfast extra special was that Chandima would wait until your curtains of your room opened slightly before cutting your fruit so it could be the freshest it could be. We love Sri Lankan food and for breakfast Chandima would write down dhal or curry then take home to her mother who would make it for us for the morning. The property is located a short walk from the town and turtle beach in which we saw giant turtles every day. The location of the train track doesn’t interfere from your stay and there are lots of bars within walking distance, also a few ATMs and banks. We would highly recommend staying here if ever you come to Hikadewa, a great quiet place to chill in before exploring the lively town and its beach bars.

We loved our stay at Weleges Place. It was immaculately clean, with different towels provided for beach and pool and a room clean everyday. The team were so accommodating and kind, we had to extend a couple of times due to our flights being cancelled and they kept our room for us and help us organise laundry. The security guard at night was also a sweetest man, he made us smile everyday. Would definitely recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a great location, comfort and a peaceful time in Hikkaduwa.

Property is surrounded by a beautifully kept garden, and also has a well maintained clean swimming pool Rooms are modern, well furnished, air conditioned and kept exceptionally clean. WiFi is good. Breakfast is a feast of many different dishes. Staff at this property go out of their way to be extremely helpful. When travel disruption resulted in us being stranded in Sri Lanka we immediately decided to stay on at Weleges Place for an extra 14 days!

The place looks exactly like the pictures unlike other nearby hotels. Everything is modern and clean. The location is perfectly in the middle of turtle beach and the coral reef. The beach is perfect for snorkeling and beginner surfing. Lastly, the service was perfect. From perfect breakfast over answers to our questions to tips for local attractions everything was handled perfectly.

There were two trains passing by during each night. They are a bit loud but we had great nights at this place compared to other locations in Sri Lanka.

Доброжелательные и профессиональные владельцы и персонал, абсолютная свежесть и чистота, все работает, номера большие и хорошо обставленные, полноценные и вкусные завтраки, идеально спланированная территория, идеально чистый бассейн, от пляжей и ресторанчиков - в пешей доступности (5-7 мин), полотенца для пляжа и для бассейна выдаются. Недалеко от ж/д, но это не напрягает.

Этот отель - настоящая находка. Понравилось абсолютно всё. Ухоженная территория, вкусные завтраки с обилием фруктов, чистый бассейн и просторные номера со всеми удобствами оставили прекрасное впечатление. Персонал с душой относится к работе, каждое утро постояльцев начинается с улыбки и приятной беседы. В номерах есть таблички с просьбой не резать фрукты самостоятельно, вы можете отнести их на ресепшен, их порежут и вынесут вам с приборами. Поезда ездят там около 4 раз в день, поэтому небольшой шум абсолютно не напрягает. Отель охраняется, каждую ночь там дежурит охрана. На территории бегают бурундуки, иногда заходит варан и обитает очень много птиц. В целом, очень рады, что остановились именно здесь, так как Weleges Place - небольшой островок спокойствия и тишины посередине суетливой и шумной Хиккадувы.

Beautiful property with great hosts, nice grassy courtyard and refreshing swimming pool. Great breakfast with eggs and fresh juice made to order. And an easy walk to the coral garden, turtle beach and many restaurants.

Just the sound of trains that I was able to ignore after the first day.

The property is situated a good way from the main road, so you are away from the hustle of the Main Street. Large comfortable rooms, very clean and with air conditioning. The fabulous breakfast, we were that full we often did not have lunch. Enjoying relaxing in the garden and using the pool. Most of all were all the staff, such wonderful people who could not do enough to help. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend to all. The staff were fantastic in organising trips and airport transfers.

De accommodatie ligt vlakbij een treinspoor waar je wakker van wordt vroeg in de ochtend. ‘s nachts heb je daar verder geen last van.

Mooi terrein op een centrale locatie. De douche was lekker groot en het zwembad was heerlijk.

Kleine dingen. Het spoor is dichtbij dus je hoort de trein savonds en sochtends een beetje. De douche loopt niet helemaal goed af. En op de benedenverdieping heb je inderdaad een grote glazen schuifdeur waardoor je gevoelsmatig wat minder privacy hebt.

We had a fantastic time here. The team were so welcoming, our room was excellent and very clean, and they surprised us with a flower decoration for our honeymoon. The location was perfect, close to the beach and quiet.

The train is pretty close and runs through the night however the room is well insulated so we didn’t really hear it.

This wasbest accomodation so far from all the months i ve stayed in Sri Lanka. Staff is extremely friendly and time to time i was thinking about “we people from europe, we are not really ready for that big kindness they can give to us”. Just the stay here, environment, staff, privacy and almost brand new facility is amazing combination of comfort and everything what you need. Highly recommended!

We were really impressed with this hotel. It’s quite small and in a beautiful setting. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the room was perfect, spotlessly clean and everything you needed was there. The bathroom was huge with a lovely big shower! Large comfortable bed and really good air conditioning. We would happily stay here again!

Fantastic accomodation. Lovely staff and great communication. We really enjoyed our stay here, probably the best staff and breakfast we experienced in Sri Lanka. Also, we were lucky that we were allowed the room on the day of check out to 5pm when taxi arrived so we could explore and then shower before leaving. Lovely staff, you can tell it’s a family run business. Rooms were lovely and clean. Comfortable bed and loved how close it was to the beach, super central and also peaceful which is nice. We had everything we needed, even offered beach towels and always a friendly smile.

One thing that would add to our stay would be a free water cooler for guests. Lots of hotel have them and it’s great for accessing ongoing free water via filling up our own drink bottles. If we wanted more water than the two small bottles we were given, we had to buy them.

10/10 we stayed 2 nights in upstairs rooms with the huge connecting balcony and it was perfect for us. The photos are 100% accurate. Huge comfortable air conditioned rooms with nice beds and pillows and large bathrooms with a walk in rain shower and balcony. Big shout out to the hosts who were absolutely delightful and obliging, we could not have wished for more. The accommodation is in a quiet location tucked away from the busy loud vibe of Hikkaduwa but it is a very easy 5 minutes walk to all the cafes, shops, beach, ATM (and wine shop if you enjoy a drink on the balcony after a busy hot day!) No hassles WiFi! So glad we chose this for our stay!

It was all fantastic and whilst we were very close to the sea, a pool would have added just that extra bit of a lovely touch. Staff amazing and always smiling.

The location was good only a 5 min walk from the beach - I thought it was literally just round the corner from the beach when booking the hotel - this was a minor issue.

The place is a bit more pricy but had very modern, clean and spacious rooms - the best we had on our whole Sri Lanka trip. The place is close to Hikkaduwa beach but is located in a quiet side street. From there you can walk to all the restaurants and bars. The people who manage the place are very friendly and open. If you have any wish dont hesitate to ask - they will figure out a way.

This was the nicest room we stayed in during our 4 weeks in Sri Lanka. Very spacious, very good quality fittings, super comfortable bed, great aircon, loads of hot water and good pressure. Sliding doors to a huge balcony overlooking the garden. Very clean, the room was serviced every day. Beach towels provided. Fabulous staff. Excellent breakfast. Hikkaduwa beach 5-10 mins walk, we particularly liked Sea Breeze seafood restaurant which has free sunbeds if you buy drinks/food. We also really liked Narigama beach which is 5 mins in a Tuk Tuk or 20 mins walk, this is a much bigger beach and we liked Mambo‘s which had VERY comfortable sunbeds. Turtle beach is also pretty amazing, paddling with the turtles was a real highlight. The Hungry Bug was our favourite restaurant and is only 5 mins walk from the hotel, it’s a bring your own beer place.

It was a bit noisy at night from the surrounding hotels / bars. And 1 night a dog howling for hours.

An excellent hotel with a high level of service. Perfect cleanliness in the rooms and area. Daily and high-quality cleaning of the rooms. Large, bright rooms with a comfortable bed and snow-white linen. The veranda is just love :)). Breakfast is hearty. The hotel management is so delicate, intelligent, caring. The guys create a mood of relaxation and carefree every day.This was the best hotel of our entire trip in Sri Lanka. We thank the hotel staff for a cozy and beautiful stay! Everything was perfect. Very good location, 3 minutes walk from turtle beach. There are lots of restaurants nearby. Hotel is super clean. Rooms are very big. Staff is super helpful and friendly. I think this is the best place in Hikkaduwa, just book it, you won’t regret it!

The room was wonderful. We enjoyed every minute here. The room and the bathroom are spacious and very clean. The AC worked also well and we managed to have a good temperature in the room. The whole area of the hotel is very beautiful and there are always people around to help you. The location is great and you can reach good restaurants, the mainstreet and the beach in less then 5 minutes. It’s totally worth the money!

The Hotel is near the railway, so sometimes you hear the train passing.

The room was amazing: spacious, very clean, with a large comfortable bed and a large balcony. The hosts and all personnel are helpful and kind, they sincerely care about comfort of their guests. While the town is rather noisy and crowdy, this hotel is like an island of calm except for the sound of nearby trains. The beaches and all the good places to eat are in walking distance. If you come to Hikkaduwa, don’t doubt to book this cozy hotel

Too many things to specify but for starters this is luxurious accommodation. (The pics you see don't do it justice). The owners and staff are delightful and whilst you might be tempted by a sea view the beauty and tranquility here more than compensate

Weleges Place is a small family run hotel. The staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and happy. We enjoyed chatting with them. They offered to walk us to the train station to help find it, made me herbal tea when I wasn’t feeling well, and organised transport to the airport. Breakfasts were delightful with something different offered for each morning of our four-day stay. The rooms are spacious, modest and nicely decorated. The bathroom is also very spacious and modern. Most of all, the building and gardens are beautifully maintained. We were glad we stayed here. It’s also on a quiet side street away from the main road and traffic. Just a short walk over to the beach and close to the main snorkelling area.

Perhaps some softer pillows, but I’m fussy about pillows.

Weleges Place was a great place to stay! Everyone was very welcoming and attentive during our stay, everything was perfect. They even shared a family birthday cake with us which was so lovely! The hotel is in a great location to the beach and town, being just a 5 minute walk away from the hustle and bustle. Whilst there is no pool, the sea is great and other hotels allow you to use their pool for the day if you’d like.

Room was beautiful, very big with 1 wall of glass making it very bright. Spacious balcony, very clean and the bathroom was amazing. The staff were so friendly making us feel very welcome. Location was ideal, 4mins from the beach. Would highly recommend.

Very small detail but perhaps toiletries could be provided in rooms (toothpaste, shampoo, shower gel etc).

It’s my third time in Sri Lanka. And I wanna say that it’s a very good place to stay. Room was clean, AC works well. Location is close to cafes and stores. Delicious breakfast for affordable price. Owners were so lovely and sweet. I would like to come back next time.

As in last comments people wrote, I would recommend to put some shelves in bathroom for shampoo and shower gel, cuz it’s little bit uncomfortable to put it on floor, wasn’t for me big problem though.

Should provide tea and coffee if providing a kettle and cups. Also should provide toiletries as by the sea. Small shampoo, shower gel etc.

This is an amazing hotel! Very clean. The room is cleaned every day. Beautiful courtyard. Amazing breakfast! Nice and courteous staff! And the location of the hotel is good. A cozy street. 5 minutes from the beach. There are good cafes and restaurants nearby. I'm thrilled❤️

Everything was beautiful! Thank you very much! Stayed for 4 days after arriving from our flight and it was really beautiful. Staff was so nice and breakfast was always a bit different and always tasty! The rooms got cleaned everyday while we were at the beach and overall it was a beautiful experience:)

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was great, location is very close to the beach, airport shuttle was on time, room was large and very clean, great value for money... Like a home from home! Would definitely visit again and will recommend to our friends

There is nothing not to like, the only small things we would have liked more would be to have some shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom, tea bags and coffee with the kettle and the option to pay by card.

Good hotel with helpful and gentle staff. Nice breakfast. Bright and airy room with panoramic windows. Large balcony, quiet air conditioner, big mirror. Beach towels are available. Good cleaning services. The Best problem solving management if you need anything. Good location in a few minutes from the beach but it’s in calm place. There are international Adapters for power sockets. No mosquitoes but repellent is available in the room if needed.

None. Proposal to install a small shelf in a shower room for shampoo and soap etc.

There was no swimming pool but that wasn’t a major issue as you were walking distance from the beach but I was informed they plan to have a swimming pool next year

Great place to stay, good room size, friendly and helpful staff.

Weleges place is a wonderful place to stay for a couple of days or longer. The rooms are clean and spacious. There is a TV, watercooker, bug balcony and the bed is very comfortable. The shower is big and new and has hot water. It's nearby restaurants and beach. You can snorkel here with turtles also.

The nost clean accomodstion I have ever been and I travel a lot:) Friendly, caring staff. Very good breakfast, Very good location
