Reviewed Sep 17, 2026I loved my stay. It was so comfortable and Anne was such a great host. There was a lovely kitchenette to make a a cup of tea etc. There is a lovely art deco cinema in Ballymote where I saw the Godfather. I ate in the Coach Inn in Ballymote which was gorgeous. The location was perfect, drove to Parkes Castle, Strandhill, Sligo , saw Ballymote castle, walked around the ruins and lovely park , visited kesh caves, did horseshoe drive. It was a 10/10 stay.

Reviewed Aug 18, 2026Anne was a wonderful host, very friendly and helpful. The overall property was gorgeous; it really lives up to its name. The house is nestled in the countryside and is so quiet and relaxed with stunning views. We were only a 25-minute drive from Strandhill, so it was really easy to pop over there for walks on the beach or dinner. The bed was super comfy, and we had such a good night's sleep. A really relaxing place, highly recommend—we will be back. :) Photos taken by my partner - Insta @rojorory.

Antibagno spazioso e bagno pulitissimo e con tutte le forniture. Dall’ampia vetrata della camera da letto si gode di una veduta bucolica su dolci rilievi e animali al pascolo.

Reviewed May 28, 2026Lovely peaceful stay at a brilliant price. You really do need a car to get there easily, but once you arrive, the peace and tranquility are to be found. I especially loved sitting outside in the morning having breakfast overlooking the fields, such a beautiful, relaxing setting. The host was very welcoming and had thoughtful quotes around the house that I really appreciated. The communal areas are very comfortable and nicely kept. I stayed in the triple room on my own, and it was spacious with plenty of storage and hanging space. I could easily imagine it being perfect for a couple with a child. Overall I slept very well and felt very comfortable throughout my stay. The kitchenette facilities were very helpful too, perfect for making toast and cereal in the morning or having a takeaway in the evening.
Overall I had a great stay. The only slight confusion was that when booking on my phone, I somehow had the impression I was reserving an entire property rather than a guesthouse with shared communal areas. When I later checked the listing again on my laptop, the description was actually very clear, so for some reason it appears as whole property through the Booking.com filters. I also didn’t receive the check-in message the host had sent through Booking.com, so I was briefly outside the gate trying to find contact details before the host kindly came down to meet me. Most likely a Booking.com messaging issue. As I said already, the host was lovely, the stay was peaceful and comfortable, and for what I needed it was perfect.

The bed mattress is very hard and minimal room furnishing.

Reviewed Sep 1, 2025La maison se trouve en pleine campagne, avec une très belle vue sur les prés et une petite montagne au sud. Comme son nom l'indique, c'est très tranquille, encore plus avec l'isolation des fenêtres. La chambre était assez grande, sans être spacieuse, avec une petite pièce de rangement avant la salle de bain privative. Le lit était grand et confortable. Nous n'avons pas pu parler longtemps avec la propriétaire car elle avait un rendez-vous, mais elle a été accueillante et nous a bien expliqué les directives. Il y a une petite cuisine que les 4 chambres disponibles peuvent utiliser. Elle est fonctionnelle avec beaucoup d'accessoires. Par contre, il n'y a qu'un micro-ondes pour réchauffer les plats.
La chambre était un peu fraîche et nous n'avons pas réussi à faire marcher la climatisation qui fait peut-être chauffage également. Mais la couette était chaude et nous avons passé une bonne nuit tout de même.

Siamo arrivati con pesci pescati in giornata e ci ha permesso di portarli, cuocerli e cenare su un tavolo esterno da lei procurato insieme alla padella elettrica . E’ stata stupenda . I letti erano comodissimi e la location sublime . Inoltre la cucina a disposizione è funzionale ed utilissima .
