Majoituspaikassa oli kiva tunnelma, erityisesti kasvien takia. Henkilökunta oli ystävällistä ja auttoivat tarvittaessa. Huoneen sänky oli iso.

Kaikki onnistui hyvin, henkilökunnan kanssa englanniksi kommunikoiminen oli välillä hankalaa.

The staff were very friendly and always happy to help with big smiles. They all made our short stay very welcome. Location was perfect being a less than 5 mins walk to the beach and to the main road where all the restaurants are. The room and the surroundings was very cosy and a nice breakfast to top it off. Really chill place with so much greenery. It was a really relaxing and quiet spot but still super close to the beach and all the restaurants and bars on the Main Street. The staff were all so friendly and helpful 💫 Comfy rooms, big bed, everything you need in the rooms

Super Duft im Zimmer. Schön eingerichtet. Lange Frühstückszeiten, auch wenn wir Mal unterwegs waren. Haben mit uns geplant und uns sehr geholfen. Sehr nette und zuvorkommende Jungs in der Unterkunft - haben uns etwas länger bleiben lassen. Frühstücksauswahl war super!! Sehr großes Bett.

Fliegennetz hatte einige Löcher und freut sich über Austausch.

Great location a 5 minute walk to the beach and 10 Minutes to the centre of Aragum bay, really comfy bed and delicious breakfast options. The staff were so so helpful and kind and were willing to help us with all our needs and activities during the stay. Would 100% recommend

Die Unterkunft ist liebevoll gestaltet und das Cabbana hatte sehr viel Charme….das Personal war stets freundlich und äusserst hilfsbereit.

Der Lärm hat leider für einige schlaflose Nächte gesorgt, das sollte man wissen…da die keinerlei Schalldämmung vorhanden ist was zu sehr lauten Nächten, von dem Lärm der Strasse führt. Zudem gab es in den 6 Nächten nur 1 Reinigung. Mülleimer ect wurden in all der Zeit nur einmal geleert…und bei dem vielen Sand ist das durchaus nicht gerade toll. Kein Warmwasser! Wenn man diese Dinge miteinbezieht, stimmt die Preisleistung leider nicht.

Gemütliche kleine Unterkunft. Lage sehr nahe am Strand sowie an der Hauptstraße mit den Geschäften und Lokalen. Klimaanlage funktioniert sehr gut. Frühstück ebenfalls gut (man kann zwischen 3 Optionen wählen)

Die Dusche ist nicht vom restlichen Badezimmer getrennt und daher wird beim Duschen das ganze Bad nass. Wassertemperatur nicht verstellbar

Die Lage war gut und ruhig, das Avocado-Toast zum Frühstück war lecker!

Die vielen sehr guten Bewertungen können wir leider nicht verstehen. Das Zimmer ist sehr klein und nicht komfortabel, das Bad ist nicht schön. Das nächste Mal würde ich auf jeden Fall eine Unterkunft mit Pool buchen. Schwimmen im Meer aufgrund der Wellen ist ja eher schwierig. Wir haben unsere Wäsche dort waschen lassen, leider hat danach alles gestunken. Die Kleidung konnten wir nicht anziehen.

Die Unterkunft bzw. die Anlage ist sauber, die Lage ist sehr gut, das Personal äußerst hilfsbereit und motiviert und ein täglich frisch zubereiteten Frühstück. Simpel und modern eingerichtet.

Little piece of a tranquility inside of a stunning beach town. Rooms were comfy, strip a stones throw away, staff and owner were amazing, friendly and wanted to do everything possible to make the stay special. Starfish Cabana and Arugam in general were a highlight of my tour and I’ll be visiting again

Mooie plek tussen drukke stad en strand, dus alles op loopafstand. Leuk opgezet en vriendelijk personeel.heerlijke toast met advocado, eindelijk een keer iets anders als ontbijt.

Klaarmaken ontbijt duurt even, dus als je haast hebt iets eerder de wekker zetten.

Nos hôtes étaient d'une gentillesse extrême avec un sourire qui fait plaisir tous les jours Toujours prêt a nous aider (location de scooter, taxi etc..). Le petit déjeuner est un régal avec mention spéciale pour les tartines aux avocats/œufs pochés. Le Lieu est paisible et calme avec un réveil en musique. Les chambres sont parfaites. A 5 minutes de la plage et des restaurants Bravo !!

Prachtige huisjes rustig gelegen op loopafstand van alle horeca en strand van Arugam Bay. Heerlijk ontbijt iedere ochtend, ontzettend vriendelijke en behulpzaam personeel. Ze helpen je met alles.

Heel goede locatie in Arugam bay. 5 min lopen van het strand, je komt direct uit bij het stuk strand waar je goed kunt zwemmen. Super aardig personeel die je met alles helpt. Mooie groene tuin.

Wir waren für 5 Nächte im Starfish Cabana und haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt! Die Zimmer hatten für uns alles was man braucht, die Lage ist super und das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war auch immer sehr lecker. Vielen Dank für alles! Wir empfehlen euch sehr gerne weiter.

L’hôtel est rempli de plantes et arbres ce qui le rend très agréable et frais! Les chambres sont confortables et la localisation de l’hôtel est très bien! Les petit-déjeuners sont excellents!

Incroyable, tant le rapport qualité prix, que la localisation et surtout la bienveillance du personnel. Points bonus pour les avocado toast du matin, ils étaient super bons!

I loved the people that ran the property, they made my stay feel like home and made sure that I was as comfortable as possible with them. Such friendly staff and really good facilities, the breakfast was a lovely touch to the place and the cooking dinner made us get to know them !

Really cool accommodation on the edge of Arugam bay town centre. It is close enough to the main strip that it feels easy to pop in and out, but far enough to be nice and peaceful. The staff were very relaxed, friendly and gave a cool vibe to the place. This made it very pleasant to spend time there. There is a central communal dining area with a fridge and in general the atmosphere is quite sociable amongst guests (which I find rarer to find among accommodation with private rooms rather than dorms). The cabanas are set in an artfully designed luscious garden. I loved getting up every morning and hanging out on the hammock on our little porch and getting a delicious breakfast delivered. I would 100% stay here again if I came back and I would recommend for any couple seeking a sociable experience in A bay.

We felt at home from the very first day. We originally booked four nights but ended up staying for more than two weeks. The host was incredibly kind and welcoming. Whenever we had a problem or needed a recommendation, he was there to assist us and always gave good advice or contact. The little cottage in the garden is a true paradise – peaceful, cozy, and surrounded by nature. We fully enjoyed our stay and would love to come back again.

Location was quiet but close to the beach and other places, the owner was wonderful and helpful and gardens beautiful. We did like Arugam bay but our time there was slightly off season so next time I would like to see it when everything is open

Mosquitos were very bad at dawn and dusk outside, I had some trouble getting a motorbike rental sorted but the owner helped with this in the end.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Property has a nice feel, nice large shared area. The location is great close to main beach. Owners super friendly and breakfast was delicious.

Toilette war defekt, konnten aber Zimmer tauschen. Viele kleine und große Ameisen im Zimmer, die durch Löcher in der Wand hineinkamen. Moskitonetz mit vielen Löchern. Sauberkeit entsprechend Preisniveau der Unterkunft. Outdoorküche extrem dreckig mit schimmeligen Lebensmitteln im Kühlschrank (Im Zimmer selbst ist kein Kühlschrank). Wir werden nicht wiederkommen.

Staying at Thari‘s place was simply amazing. Sri Lankan breakfast was the perfect way to start every day. the Cabanas are very well maintained, clean and everything is working perfectly. We will come back for sure! Thank you for hosting us

We came to Arugam Bay during off-season. It's like a ghost town. I imagine during high-season it would be amazing though!

Die Unterkunft war sauber, gut ausgestattet und lag wunderschön im Grünen. Unser kleines Häuschen war wirklich niedlich eingerichtet, wir hatten auch eine Klimaanlage und ein Moskitonetz. Der Vermieter war wirklich freundlich und zuvorkommend. Da uns das Curry morgens zum Frühstück zu schwer ist, fragte er uns sogar ob er uns stattdessen etwas anderes machen soll und so bekamen wir am zweiten Morgen Rührei und Toast. Das war klasse. Er fuhr sogar abends extra nochmal los um uns neue Moskitostäbe zu holen. Die Lage ist auch super, es ist nicht weit zum Meer und Restaurants und Einkaufsläden sind fußläufig erreichbar. Wir würden wieder kommen und können diese Unterkunft sehr empfehlen.

War alles super

Besonders gut hat uns die Atmosphäre in dem hübsch gestalteten und gepflegten Garten gefallen. Zudem ist der junge Gastgeber super fleißig und kümmert sich hervorragend sowohl um seine Gäste als auch die gesamte Anlage. Das Essen ist hausgemacht und schmeckt großartig. Die Lage ist ruhig und am Ortsrand, doch sind die Strände und die Restaurants gut zu erreichen.

De airco en de gezellige lampjes naast het bed. Het grote bed. Ik had geen lampje naast het bed ik had het geappt en daar waar ik naar kwam dezelfde minuut nog met een lampje aan. Je zit vlakbij de mooie natuur.

Het is puur alleen slapen, in de kamer kan je alleen maar op je bed liggen of zitten. Er is wel heel veel stof bij het bed aan de muur.

The room is big enough and in a cute little cabana with terrace and the place has a beautiful garden it is also very well located to Arugam Bay main road and to Baby Point (beach) The room has been cleaned once during our trip, which was not the case on other hotels There is a laundry available which is good The staff is nice!

Einfach perfekt! Ausstattung, die Größe und die Lage. Auch das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Tagestour die uns hier organisiert wurde zum nahegelegenen Naturpark war einmalig und mit einer der schönsten Aktivitäten unseres gesamten Urlaubes. Ebenfalls hervorzuheben war das grandiose frühstück. Die Unterkunft ist in ruhiger Lage aber dennoch ist man innerhalb 5 Minuten schon am Meer

Posto incantevole...vicino alla spiaggia... Giardino curatissimo dove era un piacere rilassarsi e scammbiare due chiacchiere. Il proprietario è un ragazzo dal sorriso raggiante sempre disponibile, ci ha organizzato un giro in tuktuk che è stato meglio del safari fatto a kaudulla😍 una giornata fantastica tra animali, monastero e spiaggia. Tutte le mattine ci preparavano una colazione diversa e vedere la cura con cui lo facevano ti faceva sentire coccolato! La stanza era pulita e aveva tutto l'occorrente!

l’accueil et la gentillesse de Thari et Gianni, la localisation très proche de la plage et des spots de surf , le calme , le cadre naturel dans la végétation réveillé au chant des oiseaux , l’esprit général . les chambres sont simples mais bien équipées: lit confortable avec moustiquaire , brasseur d’air et climatisation , eau chaude dans la salle de bain + douche extérieure pour se rincer en revenant de la plage . à recommander sans hésiter !

Wir haben in einem hübschen Garten gewohnt und wurden jeden Tag mit einem abwechslungsreichen Frühstück verwöhnt. Es war ruhig und nah zum Surfpoint . Der Gastgewerber war äußerst nett und bemüht.

Zweckmäßige Zimmer in einem wunderschönen Garten, nur ein paar Schritte vom Strand entfernt und doch völlig aus dem Trubel. Sehr gutes Frühstück (Man muss etwas Zeit mitbringen, aber es lohnt sich!) Und die Straßensafari, die für uns organisiert wurde, war einfach der Hammer!

This was the most delightful vacation I have ever had! Thari was very friendly and caring! Excellent breakfasts, great location, the air conditioning in the room saved from the heat and the hotel landscaping added to its excellence! Highly recommended! Way to go STARFISH!!!

Super Lage nah am Strand ( super wenn man morgens aufs Surfbrett will) Tolle moderne Unterkunft mit bequemen Betten! Der Host ist super nett und kümmert sich um alles! Wir hatten das Glück eine große Elefantenherde mit ihm in der Nähe zu finden! Einen Roller hat er auch kurzfristig organisiert + Kontakt zum super Surflehrer! Vielen Dank Thari!!! Der Aufenthalt war einer der besten Stationen unserer Rundreise.

Camera/ appartamento molto carina a letteralmente 5 minuti a piedi dalla spiaggia. Il proprietario molto simpatico con il quale abbiamo scambiato due chiacchiere è stato molto gentile nel prenotarci le lezioni di surf e il transfer alla nostra prossima tappa. Consiglio :)

Amazing stay at Starfish Cabbana. We stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed our time there. Amazing garden, comfy bed and room with A/C. Great breakfast, different every day - and the best avocado toast that I had! Location is perfect, just a few steps from the main road and the beach. Last but not least, amazing hospitality! Thari was super friendly and available, and even helped us book a bus ticket.

El alojamiento está en un lugar super tranquilo, pero al lado de la calle principal. La habitación estaba bastante bien, y con mosquitera. Es un sitio donde se respira tranquilidad. El desayuno estaba bastante rico. Cada día nos prepararon algo diferente. Y lo mejor es el trato del personal. Siempre súper atento a todo y disponibles para darte recomendaciones. Nos buscaron a un conductor de tuk tuk para hacer una excursión por la zona, y si no llega a ser por eso no hubiésemos accedido a esos sitios tan chulos. Nos ha encantado.

Very beautiful place. Loved the garden and the breakfast. It’s freshly made, every morning something different and super delicious. Very short walk to the beach. The host is so nice. He would be able to plan safari for you, a trip to the jungle with the motorbike, surf lessons, …. Would come back for sure 🩵

Beautiful garden, comfortable rooms, great location out of the hustle bustle but an easy walk to main point for surf, and super helpful hosts. We also loved the dog Maya she was so cute!

Starfish is the best place I’ve stayed at while in Sri Lanka - you should stay here if you can. The rooms are lovely and clean with air conditioning and a nice shower, and the garden is a great place to relax in the shade away from the rest of Arugam Bay. But the main thinking is that Tari the host is the just the best most welcoming guy. He’s a brilliant cook and makes a different amazing breakfast each day as well as recommending where to eat. He also will do anything to help you out while you’re his guest: for us he repaired my friend’s board fins for cheap without us having to do anything, and also took us out (for free) with him on scooters to see the national park, some temples and watch the sunset. He’s just such a nice guy who loves to host and makes you feel as welcome as possible. Thanks so much Tari!

If you're a surfer looking for a place to drop your backpack before heading to the beach, Starfish might be all you need. The staff are friendly, there's a nice jungle vibe around the property, and the rooms are reasonably clean, if a little sandy.

My room had no place to unpack, not even a nightstand beside the bed. Suitcase had to go on the floor. There was also some kind of repeated banging noise. Might have been the pipes, idk, but it was loud. Another issue that came up was people burning trash nearby. This went on all day and the room and patio were filled with the smell of smoke.

My stay at starfish cabbana was so good I had to go back twice. The quality and the cleanness of the facilities are very high compared to other places in Arugam bay and the garden is a beautiful oasis where you can relax with the owners dog Maya. Thari, the host, goes above and beyond to make sure you have a pleasant stay. Him and his staff are always there to help when you need anything. Also the breakfast is incredibly delicious. I wouldn’t pass up the offer to stay here, especially if you’re into surfing as it’s one of the closest locations to main point beach.
