Friendly owners, nice breakfast, comfortable stay and great value for money.

Está muy bien ubicado y te ofrece excursión para ver los templos. La habitación es amplia y estaba todo muy limpio. El desayuno estaba delicioso!! También tienes opción de comer y cenar y la cerveza estaba muy fría. Estuvimos una sola noche pero a la mañana siguiente se tenían que ir pronto y tras el desayuno confiaron en nosotras para que hiciéramos el check out cuando quisiéramos.

Heel vriendelijke host We konden de parade meemaken van Poson Poja en dit was echt een hele ervaring! Goede locatie, ontbijt was oke.

Wij hadden het ongeluk van met een zeer luidruchtige bende daar te zitten op hetzelfde moment. Qua isolatie is het gebouw minder in orde waardoor wij heel veel nachtlawaai hadden. Daar kon de host uiteraard niks aan doen maar oordoppen zijn hier wel aangeraden als er andere luidruchtige gasten verblijven.

Radha Tourist House is a place which just radiates with warmth, very calm and quiet area, cozy room, comfy beds and an exceptionally kind and helpful owner. We've had a very tasty kottu in the evening we arrived and a delightul breakfast the next morning. More than 7000km from my home country and I still felt like I was right at home. I would definitely recommend Radha Tourist House for anyone looking for accommodation in the Cultural Triangle

Très bon emplacement. L’hôte est très serviable. Il est possible de louer des vélos pour visiter les sites aux alentours, ce qui est vraiment génial.

Der Wasserdruck der Dusche war eher schwach, und es fehlte ein Wischer für den nassen Boden im Badezimmer.

Logement agréable, possibilité de louer des vélos ou d'organiser la visite de l'ancienne cité de Polonnaruwa. Quelques restaurants à proximité, arrêt de bus à 2mins à pied et lac juste à côté avec de magnifiques rizières.

Hôte un peu insistant concernant les activités proposées et sur la façon de manger leur nourriture..

Всё было чудесно. Отель в 3-5 минутах от центральной башни, и при этом тишина. До озера 5 минут. До музея, где нужно покупать билеты в исторический парк - минут 10 пешком. Остановка - 5 минут. В пятницу маркет - 4 минуты. Туристический центр, 2 кафе с не острой и привычной едой (если попросить) и даже спа салон, где мне сделали прекрасный массаж. Магазин продуктовый - 6 минут. Так что расположение идеальное. Об отеле: два этажа, горячая вода в номере, душ, кондиционер. Тихо. Завтрак внизу в общей зоне. Все три дня был разнообразный и сытный. Особая благодарность за яичницу и томаты в последний день, меня очень порадовал этот завтрак. Хозяева очень приятные люди, все подсказали. Когда спросила жидкость от Комаров - предоставили. Рекомендую

Accueil sympathique des propriétaires de la guest house. Ils donnent de bons conseils, louent des vélos, ce qui est important pour visiter le site archéologique de Polonnâruvâ tranquillement. Chambre confortable et propre, calme, à proximité des restaurants. Bon petit-déjeuner Sri-Lankais et copieux. Je recommande vivement cette guest house très proche de l'arrêt de bus

Everything was absolutely delicious. They also prepared a wonderful traditional Sinhala dinner for us, which was truly exceptional and full of authentic flavors. The breakfast was just perfect — fresh, abundant, and beautifully presented. The owners are incredibly warm, kind, and attentive people who made us feel genuinely welcome from the very first moment. Their hospitality and attention to detail made our stay even more special. We will definitely come back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an unforgettable experience.

Buen tamaño de habitación. Aire acondicionado funcionaba bien. Mujer que nos atendió amable. Nos llamó a un tuk tuk y nos sirvió de guía para visitar Polonnaruwa y los templos. Buen desayuno aunque poca variedad comparados con otros hoteles de allí (café, té, hopers, mermelada, plátanos). El barrio está bien y la calle iluminada (pocas veces pasa allí).

Cortina no opaca para dormir (por suerte tenía un antifaz). Señor no tan agradable, insistente con tema transporte (viene a molestar a la habitación 2-3 veces). El desayuno podría haber sido más variado (el pan seco, tostado del día anterior parecía, sin zumo, agua, ni frutas (sólo plátanos). Los hopers es lo único que no habíamos probado aún y que allí nos pusieron y buenos. Al marchar me quería cobrar más de lo que indicaba Booking, se lo dije y le di algo más igualmente pero porque no tenía cambio. No me pareció bien. El agua no salía caliente (sólo un grifo). Sin tapa de WC (olía). Se moja todo el baño (hay un cepillo para quitar el agua). Por el precio, ok.

Nous sommes arrivés tard et l’hôte est revenu à l’hôtel pour nous accueillir (il était 23h passé..). Ils sont adorables. Les lits sont confortables et le petit déjeuné compris était de qualité. Ils nous ont aidé à organiser notre journée pour visiter. Encore grand merci aux hôtes 🙏

Очень удобное расположение. Рядом вход в парк с руинами и археологический музей. Апартаменты находятся на тихой улочке в старом городе. До озера пять минут, ходили любоваться закатом. Еще рядом рынок, купили вкусные манго и ананасы. Номер на втором этаже, хороший кондиционер, удобная кровать. В основном в отелях на полу керамическая плитка и я не люблю ходить по ней босиком. Но здесь плитка была натерта до блеска, теплая и ходить по ней одно удовольствие. Хозяйка готовила нам завтраки и ужины. Ланкийская еда, которую обычно я не ем, приготовленная хозяйкой приятно удивила. Совсем не остро, но пряно и очень вкусно. Особенно овощи - баклажан, тыква, какие то стручки остроугольные. В целом всё понравилось и если решили осмотреть местные достопримечательности я рекомендую этот отель

Die extrem saubere Unterkunft bot uns die schönsten Zimmer, die wir in Sri Lanka hatten. Die Besitzerin ist sehr bemüht, alle Wünsche zu erfüllen. Das Abendessen war sehr lecker, das Frühstück wohl das beste, das wir in Sri Lanka bekommen haben. Die Lage ist optimal. Sehr nah am See und sehr nah am Ticket Schalter zur old city. Eine super Empfehlung.

Such lovely hosts, They provided a delicious traditional dinner when we arrived on request. Power cut so very apologetic and provided candles, a UV strip light and turned on car headlights so we could see while eating! Close to historic site.

We were warmly welcomed by the kind and friendly owners of this hotel. We had a lovely conversation with the lady, who shared stories about Sri Lanka, and we enjoyed exchanging our own travel experiences with her. From the moment we arrived, we felt truly at home. The rooms are simple but very clean and comfortable — perfect for our family of four. What really stood out was the genuine hospitality. The next morning, we were served an amazing breakfast with a variety of delicious Sri Lankan dishes. Everything was fresh and clearly prepared with love. The hostess went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, always checking in with a warm smile. Her husband was equally kind and helpful, always ready to assist in any way he could. The hotel is very well suited for families, and the personal touches made all the difference. We left feeling grateful and refreshed, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to anyone looking for a welcoming and authentic stay. One small note for future guests: we had booked this stay with the idea of visiting Wasgamuwa National Park. The listing mentioned that the park was 19 km away, which technically refers to the outskirts of the park. However, the main entrance — which is where most safaris start — is actually about 1.5 hours away by car. This wasn't a major issue for us, but it's something to be aware of when planning your trip. We would kindly recommend the owner to clarify this in the listing to avoid confusion for future visitors. Accurate travel information makes a big difference, especially for families and early morning safari bookings.

In one word: perfect. This was by far the best stop of our road trip in Sri Lanka. The room was simple, authentic, and spotless. The couple who runs the guesthouse is incredibly kind — they welcomed us like friends and we ate like royalty! Every meal, from breakfast to dinner, was delicious and prepared with love. They also helped us organize two unforgettable experiences: visiting the ancient city of Polonnaruwa and going on a safari in Minneriya National Park. In the evening, we enjoyed a stunning sunset by the lake — it was truly a magical moment for us. A heartfelt thank you to both of you 🙏 Your guesthouse is a hidden gem, and we’ll always keep the most beautiful memories of our stay.

Breakfast was fine. The lady of the house is very charming. It's a short walk to city center.

The airco is like an old diesel: it takes for ever to reach the acquired temperature. The room has no mosquito nets, and since the bathroom window was open without any mosquito-protection, there are mosquitos in the room. We closed the bathroom window for that, but then it starts to smell badly. Also, moist cannot go anywhere without that ventilation. The window and its sill were realy dirty, that hasn't been cleaned in a long time. Also the floor wasn't very clean. The towels are way beyond their expiration date, you can read the newspaper through it.

Sunni and Charinda are amazing hosts, and the value was amazing. If you are looking for luxury, this probably isn't the place, but it's perfectly fine and amazing value for money AC worked well and Internet was fine too.

Very welcoming hosts with tea offered on arrival at around midday. Clean and comfortable room, good bathroom too. Nice location too, on a small quiet road semi rural feel, with monkeys and lots of birdsong, also a 5 minute hike to the lakeside. We stayed just one night and had our evening meal there and breakfast, both were good. Very conveniently located for our afternoon visit to the ancient city - just a few minutes drive to the museum to get entry tickets. We already had a driver but our hosts said they could have organised a tuk tuk if needed. Would definitely recommend.

While Radha Tourist Home itself was excellent and a perfect base for visiting Polonnurawa ancient city there was less to see in the nearby part of the 'new' town than we expected - so for us one night felt just right. But again would highly recommend this accommodation.

The location was very convenient to everything. The host and her family were friendly and generous, including us in their New Year celebrations.

Perfect place for one night to visit the ancient city of Polonaruwa. We could rent bicycles for the day. The breakfast was delicious. We also tried some new year's delights.

The hosts were very hospitable, and cloaked our bags after checkout while we looked around the ancient city. A meal was provided outside the usual time, with no notice.

In our room, access to the double bed was only available from the foot and one side, as it is placed against the wall. The location is very close to the centre of town, so a little busy at night.

The staff were welcoming and attentive throughout our stay and the food was delicious and plentiful.

This was the perfect property for visiting Polonnaruwa, run by the most welcoming and lovely couple. Our rooms were spotless and comfortable - we arrived too late for dinner but the breakfast spread was delicious. They also organised bikes for us. We couldn’t recommend it more if you’re coming to Polonnaruwa.

There was nothing we didn’t like

Simple, clean, functional accommodation. Comfortable bed and good shower. The hosts accommodated my request for an early breakfast. Excellent location for visiting the ancient city, and the hosts rented me a bicycle which made the day visit very manageable.

The staff were very nice, gave me tips seeing the area. Also the breakfast was very nice.

We loved this homestay and had breakfast and dinner. Both were excellent and served at the time of our choosing. The location is perfect for visiting the ruins and our kind hosts arranged the tuk tuk tour for a reasonable price. The room is spacious and has basic amenities which all work (including AC, warm shower, well placed plugs and WiFi). It was clean. The location is truly perfect - for a walk around the lake at sunset or to access the ruins by bicycle or tuk tuk. And you are part of an old neighbourhood here - loved that.

Better quality towels would be good, and maybe a fresh lick of paint in the room. We felt a little on top of other guests while eating - little privacy - and always in the gaze of our lovely hosts.

Exceptional hosts and delicious home cooking. Helped to organise our stay, visiting Polonnaruwa and Medirgiriya archaeological sites and a canoe ride across the nearby lake. Did not expect to see an elephant feeding itself water plants. Canoe trip finished watching the sun go down. Without the help of our hosts we would probably only have experienced Polonnaruwa

Very good location. The hosts were very helpful in every way - offered suggestions, directions and push bike rental. The room had lamps in addition to the main room light.

No mosquito nets on windows and the mosquitos are like small airplanes bc of the proximity of the lake. Ask for 2 towels, chair and washing line if you wish to wash by hand. The landlady was very helpful and very kind so I am glad I've chosen tbis location. Also, it is about 10 min walk to the museum and the ticket office for the ruins. Overall, a good choice to stay for couple of nights.

Radha Tourist House is very well positioned between the lake, 10 minutes walk, and the archeological sites, 20 minutes walk. The owners are very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast and dinner are fresh and copious.

it was close to the ancient site of Polonnaruwa, which it made it easy to visit

the room is old, we found insects and animals (cockroach) because there is no net on the window of the bathroom.

Breakfast brilliant, dinner outstanding, the bike hire, the laundry service, loved seeing the giant fruit bats and playing cricket with the locals - truly memorable and a must
