Zeer bijzondere en authentieke accommodatie die helemaal door de zeer vriendelijke eigenaresse was beschilderd. Iedere kamer was erg ruim en had een houtkachel omdat het daar fris kan zijn. De eigenaresse regelde voor ons zelfs het vervoer naar Ella en heeft geholpen met de treintickets.

Het lag een beetje uit het centrum, maar met tuktuk ben je er zo.

Heel bijzondere plek, onwaarschijnlijk mooi ingericht door de lieve, artistieke gastvrouw. Bezoek Hortons Plains en maak een rit met de trein naar Ella ( zij regelt dat wel ). Ga voor een onvergetelijke High Tea in het Grand Hotel.

The hosts were so friendly and obliging. Quirky artistic rooms. Something a little different than the standard accommodation. All in all very welcoming.

Beautiful art hotel and the hostess was so friendly. The room was beautifully decorated and the breakfast was delicious.

The decoration of the rooms and the shared area was exceptional and a good reason to come and stay. The host was really nice, friendly and informative. Location was good for us, but out of center if you care for a walking distance time in town.

The rooms include a fireplace but these are not functioning well and the rooms were "smoked". Make sure you do not try to use them. One of the rooms did not have warm water in the shower. The rooms were not fully ready when we arrived.

Great location. Heidi's home is a gem. Lovingly designed and decorated, very spacious rooms, kind owner and great breakfast. We loved it.

Heidi was the perfect hostess and her home is unique and beautifully decorated. She really went the extra mile to ensure we had everything we wanted and was awesome at helping with transport options for our trip. Fantastic breakfast also.

Beautiful and cozy home operated by an extremely charming hostess. Hospitable ,courteous and warmth all around. The hostess and her well maintained property in a serene locality with a view of Nuwara Eliya lake is a beautiful little place to stay. Entire place is painted, artistically decorated allover with warm decor , furnishings , walls ,right from the entrance to bedrooms and the dining area.Plenty of greenery around and splendid views,this property is a wonderful experience. Breakfast is great too.Hostess helps in guiding about tours and nearby places of interest.Also helps in forex if needed. Much appreciated ....a great and memorable place to stay in Nuwara Eliya.

The in room fire place is an excellent addition but smoke filling up the room may be avoided.

De vriendelijkheid en de behulpzaamheid van de hosts. Het is een mooie locatie met een bijzondere stijl die van alle gemakken is voorzien. Smakelijk goed verzorgd ontbijt.

Breakfast was wonderful. Delicious home cooked food and generous servings with freshly home pressed juice. Heidi and her niece were so incredibly kind and helpful and made us feel very cared for and welcome. The most wonderful and attentive people we have stayed with in our trip

L’endroit est magnifique dès les premiers pas avec une super vue sur le lac ! Toute la maison est splendide et peinte par Heidi elle-même. Les chambres sont belles, spacieuses, chaleureuses. Heidi et Kiara sont d’une gentillesse! Accueil hyper chaleureux ! Le repas et le petit déjeuner sont excellents !

Un peu d’humidité dans les salles de bain et mauvaise réception de la wifi dans les chambres

Heidi and her niece Kiara were so welcoming, kind and showed true hospitality. The home was so personal and comfortable. The shower was hot, the food prepared with love and delicious and when we left it felt like we were leaving family.

Lovely villa with lovely host. They upgraded us to 2 rooms instead of triple room. Beautiful decoration, comfortable beds. You can ask advices from host for where to go, which restaurant to eat. Very convenient location.

Heidi was so helpful and informative. She also cooked us a delicious dinner which I highly recommend! We had a lovely stay.

Heidi en nichtje zijn supervriendelijk. Prachtige kleurrijke locatie. Dicht bij het meer en uur de drukte van het stadje. Verder kan er vanalles geregeld worden, zoals een tuktuk of de taxi driver brengt je naar Horton Plains en het station. En helpt je bij hoe dat werkt op het station in Sri Lanka.

Er is geen plekje om buiten te zitten.

Beautiful old house , enthusiastically and eclectically decorated. Room had its own sitting area. Interesting and informative staff. .

All though far from town centre it's a busy area with hotels all round..Very cold and though there was a wood burning stove ( and being Scottish we are very used to those) it didn't work. Also so many barking, unspayed and damaged dogs.

Heidi's Home is beautiful and unique. Her character is reflected in the decor, which is truly artistic, painted on every wall. Heidi is a marvellous hostess who gave us great advice about how to spend our time and where to eat. The breakfast was very good also. Our stay was too short!

De accommodatie is kleurrijk en huiselijk. Geen doorsnee onderkomen. De gastvrouw Heidi wil dat het je aan niets ontbreekt. Zij regelde voor ons ook chauffeur Roshan die alle tijd nam om ons de omgeving te tonen en veel vertelde.

L'albergo è molto particolare e ha personalità. La camera era deliziosa anche se umida e freddina (del resto ha sempre piovuto e Nuwara Eliya è in montagna), i letti comodi. Il bagno era dotato di una doccia spaziosa con acqua calda. Il personale molto cordiale. La posizione è bella, un po' in collina, vicino al Gregory lake, ma distante sal centro. È bene saperlo se non si viaggia con un mezzo proprio o un driver.

La maison, la déco des chambres est incroyable. Propriétaire très sympa, donne des conseils, très avenante... tres von petit dej 1h de marche du centre ville, en faisant le tour du lac

From the moment you step through the pretty painted entrance door and through a small secluded garden seating area, you know you have stumbled into somewhere special. Heidi’s artistry can be seen on every wall, door and ceiling throughout the property. The duvet on the bed was the most comfortable I’ve ever slept under and was much needed on cooler nights than I’ve been used to of late. Breakfast was delicious and different on both mornings of my stay. Heidi and her niece Kira made me feel very welcome and gave me information about the area and where to eat too. I couldn’t have asked for more!!

Ładny hotel, wygodne łóżko i pyszne śniadanie. Bardzo miła właścicielka, udostępniła nam nawet elektryczny grzejnik, bo byli chłodno w pokoju.

Zapach w pokoju, ale podobno po powodzi, gdyż hotel był zalany. Brak gniazdka w łazience, brak suszarki do włosów- w poprzednich hotelach, nawet tańszych była, nie można spuszczać papieru w toalecie, tylko trzeba wyrzucać do kosza.

Cet hôtel est une véritable œuvre d'art ! Les murs ont été peints par Heidi, la maîtresse des lieux, des fleurs aussi belles les unes que les autres vous entourent, vous enveloppent dans une atmosphère incroyable et si chaleureuse ! Le petit déjeuner et le rice and curry sont justes excellents ! Heidi est une femme incroyable et extrêmement bienveillante. Elle aime à dire que son hôtel n'est pas qu'un lieu mais un esprit... Elle dit juste, je vous l'assure ! N'hésitez pas une seconde.

Super friendly and helpful host, we were only here 1 night and we were given a comprehensive itinerary to enjoy the town. Heidi's is just a $2 tuk tuk ride from the centre. If schedules allowed we would have stayed longer. The interior is a visual feast, very cool.

Erg fijn verblijf gehad! De eigenaresse is super vriendelijk en denkt met je mee over activiteiten die je kunt doen. Ook het ontbijt was erg lekker! Aangezien het buiten koud was had ze alles klaar gezet om een haardvuurtje aan te steken op de kamer. Super geregeld!

This was the best night's sleep we've had in Sri Lanka. The rooms have such fun decorations and the bed was super comfortable. There was even a little log burner with a fire making it extra cosy. The host was very friendly and accommodating and made us a massive breakfast which was originally going to be western but when we mentioned we love Sri Lankan food they added some typical Sri Lankan breakfast items. Can't recommend this place enough

Alles! De kamer was sprookjes achtig, met een haard en aparte zitruimte, de douche en het bed waren heerlijk, het ontbijt was top. Heidi en haar staff hebben ons helemaal in de watten gelegd en we zijn weer een geweldige ervaring rijker. We gaan deze plek niet snel vergeten. P.s. onderaan zit een restaurant "the Kitchen" wat heerlijk eten is.

Voor sommige misschien iets verder van de drukte, maar wij vinden een stukje wandelen heerlijk.

La stanza troppo umida e fredda, abbiamo provato ad accendere la stufa ma il fumo nella stanza era insopportabile. La proprietaria cercava in tutti i modi di dare un buon servizio ma era troppo ansiosa, agitata e abbiamo dovuto chiederle un sacco di cose che non arrivavano mai Avecamo prenotato 2 notti ma abbiamo decido di farne solo una, il paese era tremendo e l'umidita' e il freddo mi sono entrati nelle ossa

Heidi is a vey nice person and my wife and share a common passion dor plants and gardening, they even shared seeds. Breakfast Interior decoration Wood stoves Very comfy beds, with thick blankets, you will be warm in the bed Hot water in the shower Fridge in the room

Our room was named ' Garden room'. It was the only room type available at the time. It is however not in a garden but on the lower floor of the house. There are some plants and the way to the room is coverd, which is helpful in the wet conditions While there was also a dehumidifier working hard, it was still a bit cold and damp in the room. The wood stove helped. The comfy beds were helpful. There are other rooms on the upper floor, which are really nice. So if at all possible try to book one of those.

Schade haben wir nur 2 Nächte gebucht. Bei soviel Herzlichkeit und schönen Räumen fällt es schwer weiter zu ziehen. Kurz gesagt, es war ein kurzer wunderbarer Traum. Wir haben es genossen. Vielen lieben Dank an die Gastgeberin. Dies Lokalität würden wir immer wieder wählen

Dit is de meest artistieke verblijf die we gehad hebben in Sri Lanka. De eigenaresse heeft veel talent en heeft met veel zorg en aandacht het verblijf gemaakt tot wat het nu is. Daarnaast is ze een geweldige host die haar taak serieus neemt en je voorziet van service, comfort en tips. Het verblijf is heel mooi, zeer comfortabel en superschoon (dat laatste is namelijk geen vanzelfsprekendheid in Sri Lanka). Tot slot wordt je iedere ochtend voorzien van een uitgebreid, verrassend en heerlijk ontbijt!

Niets, het is jammer dat we slechts 1 nacht hier verbleven.

Quirky, which we really liked. Rooms were clean and very cosy bed and bedding. Fridge, kettle, tea and coffee and a little fire too. Lovey HUGE breakfast. Heidi and her neice were lively and full of information and knowledge.

We liked it all.

Simply an incredible place. Artistic decor is unique, special, and so relaxing. Separate sitting area to bedroom. A couch to sit on! A rarity in our travels. Breakfast wonderful. And Heidi is a delight. Caring and considerate.

This was ideal for our needs

De uitbaatster verwende ons met haar onbijt met Mozart als achtergrondmuziek. Ze gaf ons tips om hike nr 22 van de Pekoe Trail te wandelen doorheen de theeplantages ( dit moet je doen ! ). Het was een kille avond en ze hielp me de houtkachel aan te steken om de kamer te verwarmen .

Onze kamer was overweldigend beschilderd met tal van taferelen ( in onze kamer was dit te veel - alle muren en plafond ) en kwam dit als te druk over. In andere kamers was dit minder )

Heidi ist eine super nette und sehr herzliche Gastgeberin, den Tipp zur Unterkunft hatte ich von einer Bekannten, die schon mal da war. Heidi hat mir einen Guide für den Nationalpark Horton Plains vermittelt, das war sehr hilfreich. Das Haus ist sehr bunt und fröhlich eingerichtet. Statt Frühstück hatte ich üppige Lunchpakete, weil ich nur 3 Nächte da war und morgens früh raus bin. Ich hatte ein großes Zimmer mit 2 Räumen im oberen Stockwerk, mit Balkon.

Die Entfernung zur Innenstadt ist recht groß, das hatte ich vorher zu wenig bedacht. Ist zwar zu Fuß ein hübscher Weg, aber nur am See entlang, und als Tourist muss man da Eintritt zahlen ... sonst ist ein TukTuk besser, weil neben der Straße zu laufen nicht so cosy ist. Das Haus ist relativ kühl, ich war Ende Juli da, und das Klima war recht feucht, obwohl ich eh Glück mit dem Wetter hatte. Also morgens und abends war einmummeln angesagt ;-)

Niesamowite miejsce, byłam zachwycona przestrzenią od samego wejścia. Magiczne, przytulne miejsce. Nie sądziłam że będę palić w kominku na Sri Lance ;) - mogliśmy zostawić bagaże wcześniej - super obsługa, takie zaopiekowanie, bardzo dobry kontakt - dostaliśmy butelkę wody na podróż pociągiem - była ciepła kołdra i ciepła woda - możliwość płatność kartą (bez dopłat) i gotówką Z chęcią spędziłabym więcej czasu niż 1 noc.

Het enige wat tegenviel door het slechte weer voelde het binnen moed en klam aan. De houtkachel werkte niet goed. Een verwarming door kachel of airco zou deze locatie een topper maken.

Zeer vriendelijke gastvrouw. Ruime, kleurrijke kamer en goed ontbijt.

De kamer is qua inrichting en aankleding erg leuk en bijzonder

Doordat het veel regende tijdens ons verblijf was het fris en voelde alles wat klam aan.

Das außergewöhnlich bunte bemalte Haus! Das leckere vegetarische Essen und beim Frühstück hat nichts gefehlt

Bedingt durch die Höhenlage und der hohen Luftfeuchtigkeit fühlt sich alles feucht an und riecht auch modrig. Die Zudecke ist für Grönland gedacht und ist zu schwer und zu feucht. Das Raumklima sollte überdacht werden.

Le côté décalé, design, la gentillesse de notre hôte. Un studio vraiment spacieux où l'on a vraiment l'impression d'être dans une maison.

Prachtig kleurrijk paradijsje, vlak aan het meer. Super vriendelijke eigenaresse met het hart op de juiste plek.... gaf iedere morgen 5 zwerfpupjes en moeder gekookte rijst met melk die in de buurt zaten. Ook maar even puppyvoer gekocht, zodat ze dit vol houdt. Heerlijk uitgebreid ontbijt. Goede warme douche.

Niets ( door het klimaat in Nuwara Eliya wordt het een klein beetje klam in de kamer, maar zeker niet hinderlijk)

Nous avons adoré notre séjour chez Heidis Home !! L’endroit est superbement décoré, on est surpris par chaque détail, c’est atypique et très dépaysant d’y séjourner. La chambre est très propre et le lit est très confortable. L’hôte est chaleureuse, attentionnée et pleine de bons conseils. Elle souhaite le bien de ses invités et on se sent comme chez soi. Le petit déjeuner était copieux et délicieux. Et nous avons apprécié l’emplacement, plus au calme mais proche de restaurants pour dîner. Il suffit de longer le lac pour arriver en ville. Un de nos meilleurs logements lors de notre séjour au Sri Lanka et une expérience que l’on retiendra !!

全て最高でした。 部屋のデザインが素敵な上、清潔で中では虫1匹見ませんでした。 また、オーナーの方はとても優しく親切で色々なお世話をしていただきました。 朝食もボリューミーで美味しかったです。 また必ず訪れます！

シャワーの水圧はあまり強くありませんが、それが気にならないぐらい快適なお部屋でした。 寒い地域ですが、分厚いお布団があるので十分に暖まれます。
