Reviewed Aug 4, 2026Die Lage ist unschlagbar ! Ebenso die Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft. Bin zum 4.ten mal dort gewesen und beim nächsten Besuch in Santiago bestimmt wieder. Danke.
Die Umgebung ist vor allem am Wochenende mitunter recht lebhaft, gelegentlich bis in die Morgenstunden, das gilt leider mittlerweile für die ganze Altstadt. Mit Ohrstöpsel kein Problem.

Reviewed Jul 25, 2026Velmi milá a přívětivá paní, skvělý prostorný pokoj s pohodlnými postelemi a na úžasném místě přímo vedle katedrály. Sdílená koupelna byla velmi čistá a měla vše, co bylo potřeba. Zároveň i kuchyně byla relativně dobře vybavená.
Vše bylo v pořádku.

Though the rooms are in the centre of Santigao, I had hoped there would be some form of sound proofing so the noise from the street (and there was football and a running race on this particular night) was unfortunately prohibitive to a good night's sleep. I dont think there is anyway to improve this other than to provide some secondary glazing.

太嘈雜！樓下一條街都就是Bar ，周六晚嘈音至零晨2點多，對於剛剛走完朝聖之路非常累的狀態不太合適，當日要零晨3點才能睡！ 另外他們要求下午三點半前要辧理入住，不接受當天要求延遲，無論任何原因。如果真的不能要提前申請，延遲多一小時。對於走朝聖之路的旅人沿途可能發生一些不定因素！作為聖城應該給予更多方便！

The room literally faced the cathedral wall and I could see and hear all thr people queuing for Mass below. The window was like a door, with balcony railings.
Two flights of stairs, but once in, I loved being high up.

Reviewed Jun 14, 2026After walking the Camino 6 hours from Pontecesures the town before Padron. The location was perfect. It was surrounded an amazing cafes and souvenir shops.
It is an apartment with separate rooms and shared bathrooms. I am absolutely not a heavy sleeper. At night the bars and restaurants closed. There was a lot of noise. You are given keys The lady taking care the house is overwhelmed but nice. The lady at the Forseca Jewelry store told me it was down the street and to the right. All along the apartment is above her jewelry shop.

Reviewed Jun 13, 2026Location is excellent, right next to the cathedral and all the restaurants and shops. Super convenient to store the bags after the Camino and before going into the cathedral. And There's no air conditioning but the room is cool enough even under heatwave, if you follow the instructions to close the window shades (windows can still be opened to allow some fresh air!). There's also a big fan in the room which helps a lot too. Note it's on the second floor. Not an issue for me as luckily my legs were still in good shape after the Camino.
It can get little noisy due to its prime location, but not too bad at all.

Reviewed Jun 12, 2026Incredible location so close to the Santiago de Compostela, shops and restaurants! The owner was very friendly and helpful, and the check-in/key process worked well. Room was perfect for the 2 of us, and having a shared bathroom wasn't an issue!
The street below the room was very noisy right through the night. The room had no aircon so we needed to leave the shutter open. Suggestion - upgrade this to a roller blind which we saw in so many other booking.com properties - blocks out the light but also shuts out the noise, and lets the air through!

The señora was kind and very diligent in keeping my room and the shared bathrooms clean and sanitized. The room was clean and very comfortable. My view was beautiful.

Ik heb toch heel veel gereisd en geboekt en dit heb ik nog nooit meegemaakt. Ze heeft me uitgelachen,de hoorn erop gegooid. Ik heb echt van alles aangeboden maar geen enkele medewerking en er werd echt constant geschreeuwd en wij werden uitgescholden. Ik las andere berichten van mensen. Als je op tijd kan zijn, is ze schijnbaar wel aardig. Maar dit was niet normaal. Overigens na 17 dagen boeken en 380 km lopen, kan het gebeuren dat je even niet oplet. Maar dat er dan zo tegen je geschreeuwd word nee. Ik heb dus uiteindelijk iets anders moeten boeken omdat deze vrouw geen enkele oplossing wilde. Ik wilde de sleutel bij haar ophalen, ze kon de sleutel achterlaten, niets was mogelijk en we werden constant afgekafferd. Afijn hierdoor ook een dag later in Santiago.

Reviewed May 31, 2026Literally right around the corner from the front of the cathedral. Food, shopping, the cathedral and more are all just steps away. The room was exactly what I wanted for my night in Santiago. I could see part of the tips of the cathedral from my window. My hostess Maria was kind and welcoming. If you want quiet this is not the location to choose, but if you want to be in the heart of the excitement of the Camino and Santiago..... this is a great place for that!
I had troubles adjusting the water in the shower.... hot to cold and back to hot. It wasn't a big problem. It just took time.

Reviewed Apr 22, 2026At first I was not liking the idea of sharing a bathroom, but the on site owner (?) kept everything so clean it was no problem at all! She cleaned our room every day, fresh towels, emptied trash, I think she cleaned the bathroom more than once a day. Beds were soft and comfy, there was a heater in the room that worked great. The other guests were quiet. There was a common sitting room area with an electric kettle and microwave, which was nice.
The only thing I can think of is it would have been nice to have a place to rinse dirty dishes other than the bathroom. There was a kitchen, but no guest access. Since we had use if a kettle and microwave, obviously guests will prepare simple food and tea and maybe she would have cleaned them if we left them out, but we didn’t hear her say to do that, but in her defense, we don’t speak Spanish and she spoke English, but we might have missed that instruction. Be aware it’s 3 flights of stairs, as described. Oh, because it’s on a main street, there was a little street noise now and then, but it wasn’t bad.

The property was fine … but there was no indication on booking.com that it was two floors up. Also the first page on booking.com listed check in at 1:00 pm. It was only on the full description that it noted a 3:30 end to check in. The host thankfully waited for me to arrive. Clarity is needed
