Great location inside the medina and it’s super well maked Palais fes yahya on near by streets so it’s easy to walk inside the medina and find the way back .. We spent 3 nights in palais fes yahya and had really good connection and conversation with the staff and Fatima the owner.

It met all expectations .

Very lovely, family run business! When you arrive they offer you tea and biscuits - true Moroccan hospitality. Run by a group of brothers and cousins who know lots about Fes and what to do while you're there. Rooms are comfortable and have proper AC. Iman was great and understood exactly what I could eat with a gluten allergy which was rare in Morocco! Yassine helped carry my 50 pound bag all the way down to the taxi station which I could not have done myself! They have painted signs to help you find the location. I really appreciated this because Fes can be very difficult to navigate! My advice is to arrive during daylight so you can find it easily. Would visit again 🤍

Es un Riad familiar. Bien atendido por Amin y su familia. El alojamiento estaba limpio y el acceso no es muy complicado, para el laberinto que es la medina. Te mandan un taxi al aeropuerto y te esperan para llevarte al Riad. El trato ha sido excelente. Cualquier problema o actividad que queráis hacer ellos te lo resuelven. El desayuno, la comida y la cena en el Riad están muy bien. Cogimos una habitación triple para nosotros dos. Mejor por que al no tener armarios, podíamos usar la otra cama para dejar la ropa.

Un poco de mantenimiento. Por lo demás todo perfecto.

The owners were very accommodating, they offered to upgrade our room without us asking. Amine had offered us a map so we can visit as many popular spots in Fes, and he came across as a genuine guy. He also came over to my car to make sure I'm parked in the right spot and offered to help with carrying our luggage.

We really enjoyed our stay.

L'hospitalité de tout les membres de la famille qui nous ont accueillis et leur bienveillance tout au long du séjour. Le repas était également succulent, nous n'avons pas eu besoin de trouvé d'autres adresses car les principaux plats marocains était à la carte et très copieux. Nous avons adoré notre séjour 👌

Si on cherche la petite bête 🔍 le débit d'eau de la douche était un peu faible mais c'est vraiment un détail à côté du reste

Absolutely amazing. Beautiful place, extremely clean, BEST hospitality we ever had, Amin, Abdou and especially Adam were the best and nicest people we’ve ever met. We got a free upgrade to the best room for free. It is a family business and they are all brothers working and we felt like at home, they were always asking if we needed anything, always available and with a smile, we felt like part of the family. We needed to check out at 5 am and they were awake to pack our breakfast and take us through the medina do the taxi they ordered for us. Even the little brothers were super nice and funny and helped us walk through the streets.

Initially we saw a lot of hairs on the bed but they immediately helped us change them, other than that, absolutely perfect!

Riad propre et superbement décoré, On est venu nous chercher à la descente du taxi pour nous conduire au Riad. C’est un vrai labyrinthe de ruelles pour y arriver, heureusement qu’il y a des indications sur les murs qui permettent de le retrouver facilement. Thé à la menthe à l’arrivée, plan et explications sur les lieux à visiter, Accueil sympathique et attentionné. Le personnel est très serviable, j’étais un peu malade et ils m’ont préparé plusieurs boissons chaudes qui m’ont fait du bien. Chambre joliment décorée et tarif intéressant

Les centres d’intérêts sont à 10/15 mn de marche. Quartier pas animé. Des jeunes (12-13 ans) se sont amusés à nous dire que le riad était fermé (alors qu’on n’y avait déjà passé une nuit). On n’a pas trop osé sortir le soir, car pas trop à l’aise dans ces petites ruelles désertes. Sur le site, les photos donnent une impression d'espace et de luminosité bien loin de la réalité. Le patio est sombre et petit. Chambre au rez-de-chaussée manquant d’intimité, parfois bruyante, car elle donne sur l’endroit où est servi le petit-déjeuner, et c’est aussi la réception. Fenêtre de la chambre donnant sur le patio/salle à manger/réception, donc manque de lumière naturelle. Bien sûr, c’est la configuration traditionnelle d’un riad, mais lorsque le patio est plus grand, plus lumineux, qu’on ne l’utilise pas pour le petit-déjeuner et pour les réceptions, cela n’a pas le même impact sur les chambres. Tarif des plats élevé et tagine fade. Prestations (visite extérieure de la médina 2 heures en taxi et visite des lieux incontournables 4 heures avec un guide) chères en comparaison des prix pratiqués dans les autres villes du nord du Maroc. On manquait de temps pour chercher ailleurs, dommage ! Un taxi devait venir nous chercher à la gare routière et finalement il n’y a eu personne. Pas grave, on a pris un taxi de la ville. Déçus par rapport à la note de l’établissement qui nous faisait penser à mieux.

Host is the best. Everything absolutely great.

This is an amazing place with one caveat. When staying here you really get a feel for what it must have felt like to live in a well off place 400 years ago. Mostly because of the building itself which is old and beautiful, but also because it is a family business and it feels like a home. The mother cooks the meals (that are as good as tagine gets) and the boys do the waiting. This is unique and amazing.

So, the caveat, the boys are a bit disorganised and service can be slow/inaccurate.

Cet établissement est doté d un charme unique et exceptionnel qui valorise la culture de Fès. Le personnel est à l écoute et très disponible et réactif. Le responsable Mr Abdoul met tout en oeuvre pour nous assurer un service parfait.

Amazing customer service, the staff were very welcoming and kind. The food was amazing. The information given about Fez and what to visit was very nice, we even got a detailed map. The rooms had everything we needed.

La amabilidad de todos. Abdoul, Yassin, Ahmed, Adil,... Lo bonito del sitio, aunque pequeño, tiene un encanto en todos sus detalles. La comida deliciosa, hecha cada día por la madre. Poder cenar en su terraza con la vista panorámica y la suave brisa en noches de calor, ha sido otro de los grandes detalles que aporta este sitio familiar. Además, Abdoul me ha facilitado todas las excursiones. Para repetir, seguro. Gracias por todo!! Shkran!!

Buena limpieza, comida muy rica, camas muy cómodas y buena localización. Abdul y su familia encantadores.

Struttura accogliente e familiare con caratteristiche tradizionali e tipiche di Marocco. Si consiglia di soggiornare in questa struttura, a differenza di quelle super moderne che si trovano ovunque. Si trova vicina al centro e si può visitare la Medina a piedi. Al tuo arrivo viene offerto il tè di benvenuto con biscotti. La cena in terrazza con diversi menù dove puoi gustare tipici piatti della cucina marocchina. Insomma si consiglia il soggiorno a tutti.

The host family was very kind and helpful. The room was comfortable and the terrace has a beautiful terrace. I highly recommend this option.

The family who run the hotel are really friendly. They always said hello and offered us tea when we came back so it felt very welcoming. The location is great and it is beautifully decorated.

Sadly the room was disappointing as it was right next to the downstairs restaurant space and front door. This lead to multiple issues and disrupted sleep: -The room did not feel private with people right outside the room door most the time -It was really noisy until around 11pm with people chatting and eating in the restaurant -Multiple times people attempted to get into our room thinking it was a bathroom -Both nights people banged on the front door late at night to be let back in as the front door was locked -Multiple times the lights were switched on and not turned off in the restaurant area in middle of the night so we had to get up and turn them off as the light leaked into the windows in our room -One night someone checked in at 1:30am and there was no effort to speak quietly Unfortunately, this meant it wasn't a relaxing stay for us and ruined what otherwise would have been a lovely stay. The owners did apologise multiple times and although we read the reviews saying it can be loud we hadn't anticipated it being this bad.

À notre arrivée, il nous a été demandé de payer un supplément de 30 euros pour avoir une chambre avec un lit bébé. Le petit déjeuner était inclus mais nous n’avons eu aucun service de petit déjeuner le deuxième jour. La personne en charge de le préparer dormait tranquillement dans le salon à 8h30 et n’a pas voulu se réveiller pour le préparer. Les chambres sont beaucoup plus petites que ce que ne laissent apparaîtrent les photos. Le propriétaire nous demande d’annuler la réservation booking au dernier moment pour le payer en direct. Les salles de bain et le mobilier sont mal entretenus. En bref, je déconseille cet établissement

L’accueil et le personnel aux petits soins à n’importe quel moment de la journée, de l’arrivée, jusqu’au départ, nous n’avons jamais été aussi bien accueillis. 😍 Un lieu au charme traditionnel unique, dans la vieille ville à quelques pas de la médina et quelques pas d’un des endroits encore accessible en voiture.

Il riad è molto suggestivo, in un ottima posizione dove puoi raggiungere tutte le attrazioni principali, le camere sono comode e pulite e la colazione è molto curata ed abbondante. Il personale è gentilissimo, pronto ad aiutarti per qualsiasi esigenza.

The building is simply majestic, but what really felt different here was the kindness, gentle and heartwarming approach of the staff: Abdul, Adnane and Yassine are a perfect mix of easygoing and fun, respectful and dedicated. We will forever cherish them as a representation of Moroccan welcoming people. The tea and cookies were delicious and we strongly recommend also the restaurant.

Bel riad, personale gentile e accogliente. Acqua e tè offerti spesso, camera bella, bagno con doccia separata da un cordolo (non si allaga, per nulla scontato). Nella medina ma vicino alla strada, comodo per prendere un taxi o parcheggiare e non nel casino. Colazione

Servizio caotico durante la colazione

Il manager molto gentile e disponibile. In generale tutto il personale è accogliente e volenteroso. La posizione è ottima e ben segnalata. Abbiamo apprezzato sia the di benvenuto che la colazione e anche il tavolino nel patio. La terrazza sul tetto era carina ma andrebbe tenuta meglio.

Le dimensioni della camera sono ridotte perché ci sono due letti che rendono difficile l'accesso al bagno. Troppi cuscini e copriletto che non penso siano lavati ad ogni cambio ospiti.Il lavandino è piccolo con rubinetto troppo grande per cui non ci si riesce a lavare altro che le mani. La doccia non si riusciva a fissare in alto e un giorno intero non abbiamo avuto acqua calda ne mattina ne sera, alla seconda segnalazione ci hanno fatto utilizzare il bagno di un'altra camera e si sono scusati molto.

Struttura antica molto bella e autentica restaurata nel rispetto delle tradizioni. Decorazioni originali meravigliose. La gestione è familiare e i ragazzi più grandi insegnano ai fratelli e ai cugini più piccoli. Sono tutti molto gentili disponibili educati e rispettosi. La cucina è la migliore che abbiamo sperimentato in Marocco.

Spazi ristretti delle camere dei bagni e degli spazi comuni. Serve più attenzione nella pulizia dei piatti e delle posate

Everything was clean and the staff very attentive. The location was also good and the inside of the building was beautiful.

The room was right next to the space where you could have breakfast/ dinner, with only one door separating the two. Overall it was fine, the staff was very quiet, but in one of the nights there were some guests who had dinner til a bit later and we couldn't go to sleep until they left.

Mi estancia en el Riad Fes fue simplemente excepcional. Desde el momento en que llegué, el personal me recibió con una hospitalidad cálida y auténtica que refleja perfectamente la tradición marroquí. La ubicación es ideal para explorar la ciudad antigua, ya que se encuentra cerca de los principales puntos de interés, pero lo suficientemente apartado para disfrutar de paz y silencio. Sin duda, recomendaría este riad a cualquiera que busque una experiencia auténtica y relajante en Fez

Our stay at Palais Fes Yahya was amazing! The staff were super friendly and helpful, the breakfast and terrace restaurant were amazing and our room was perfect. The bedroom and common rooms were beautiful with traditional patterns and tiling. The bathroom was clean and modern and the terrace was a great place to go and relax. The place was very close to Bab Jdid (the new gate) which is away from the business of the blue gate but super easy to walk to where you can take a $2-$3 taxi to any of the other gates. Overall I was very happy with our stay and would book with them again if we are ever back in Fes!!

Walking to the main souks was challenging for us (mostly because we are not very good with directions, even with the map they drew us!) but as I mentioned, the walk to the closest gate was super easy and it was a quick and cheap taxi to the main gate from there

Amazing decor, beautiful bedroom and historical charm. The staff were all kind and attentive. They spoke excellent English as French and Arabic. The cable of my straighteners was broken and they went to buy me some tape which they wouldn't take any money for- above and beyond for service. Taxis and guides were all arranged by the riad, which were all excellent. Staff also accompanied us to meet the taxi so that we didn't get lost. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful. We also had an evening meal which was delicious. There was also a lovely roof terrace where we sat in the sun reading. A fabulous place to stay which we would highly recommend.

Les insultes, le harcèlement et les menaces envoyées sur WhatsApp suite à mon avis négatif publié sur Google maps. ....... Tant que l'équipe en place n'aura pas revu son comportement les clients ne seront pas satisfaits. Hygiène et nettoyage des chambres totalement inexistant. Attente très longue pour les petits déjeuner et le thé soit disant à volonté Actuellement, tout est fait ici pour prendre votre argent 💰.

Riado vertinimas yra ženkliai per aukštas, prieš rinkdamiesi turite tą žinoti. Šeimininkai labai paslaugūs, tačiau turėtų daug ką susitvarkyti.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich, lustig und jederzeit für alle Frage rund um Land und Leute offen. Die Lage war sehr cool und eine wunderbare Dachterrasse.

Der Raum war zu viert schon sehr klein, aber das wusste man eigentlich zuvor.

Our stay at Palais Fes Yahya was wonderful. The whole family was incredibly kind and attentive, and the breakfast was always fresh and tasty. We had two rooms; both were clean, beautifully decorated, and serviced daily. We truly enjoyed communicating with the owners. A special mention to the young nephews working there—they are such polite and well-educated young men. It was a pleasure to chat with them, and we learned a lot about the life and traditions of Fes.

Since this is a family homestay, please be aware that the doors and windows are not soundproof, so you might hear some noise. However, this wasn't a problem for us at all.

Els treballadors són molt atents i facilitadors. La decoració impecable. Ens hem sentit molt ben acollits per tots però especialment per un noi que ens ha guiat posant bona cada a cada situació. Parlen tots els idomes que calgui i al carrer trobes senyals de l’hotel per tot arreu.

Ce que j'ai aimé ? Sincèrement, pas grand chose. Je garde un très mauvais souvenir de la nuitée dans cet établissement que j'avais décidé d'offrir pour la dernière soirée de mes parents en voyage au Maroc. Au regard des notes et du nom de l'établissement, j'étais ravie de les y conduire en pensant que le logement aurait un standing plus élevé que les précédents. Je peux vous assurer que les concurrents n'ont rien à envier à ce "palais". Le lieu est charmant mais les photos donnent une impression d'espace et de luminosité bien loin de la réalité. L'un des employés s'est vanté dès notre arrivée d'être dans le top 5 de Booking, j'ai mieux compris par la suite comment les notes sont obtenues ...

La liste est longue ! Je n'ai pas apprécié arriver dans ma chambre sans que le petit déjeuner et les serviettes de bain des hôtes précédents n'aient été retirés de la table qui se trouvait devant la chambre. J'ai encore moins apprécié de découvrir la terrasse à la "vue panoramique" décevante dont les tables n'avaient pas été débarrassées. Je n'ai pas apprécié devoir demander à 4 reprises que l'on me donne des draps pour que je puisse dormir sur le canapé. Et enfin, j'ai détesté que le "gérant" insiste à plusieurs reprises pour que j'attribue une bonne note à l'établissement en me spécifiant que le propriétaire serait très dur avec les employés en cas de mauvaise note. J'ai été honnête avec lui en lui disant que ma note ne serait pas bonne et que l'objectif des commentaires au delà d'avertir les autres voyageurs était aussi de mettre le doigt sur ce qui ne va pas en vu d'améliorer la prestation. L'équipe mérite clairement de se professionnaliser. Je tiens tout de même à préciser que l'établissement était propre et que le petit déjeuner était bon et copieux.

The host has been very helpful in explaining everything from how to navigate Fez to where to find good deals. The rooms are very beautiful. You can have dinner in the inner courtyard or even on the rooftop. If you are staying here you should definitely eat at their restaurant - delicious meal!

Trudno dotrzeć do hotelu ale gospodarz bardzo się stara , wysłał po nas pracownika. Pokoje maleńkie, hotel zabytkowy, klimatyczny po marokańsku. Polecam koneserom lokalnych widoków, zapachów i smaków.

Booked last minute for a night, but wish I could stay for longer! Had travel plans cancelled due to weather and this family were so lovely and accommodating with my situation, and helping me fill my extra time in Fes! Amazing food for breakfast. Their restaurant upstairs was also beautiful.

Beautiful, but dated. Rooms were clean, but it was very loud both during the day and at night. The food was good, but exactly the same each day with a very small menu. The staff was helpful but most things we had to ask for 2-3 times before getting them. There was no daily bill so be prepared to keep track of items ordered to pay at checkout. Good location and happy with the coordinated tours, but getting ahold of the manager was often delayed. Overall, good enough.

I traveled alone to Fez not knowing what to expect. My host picked me up at the airport and made me feel safe and at home . The place is beautiful and the staff was very kind and helpful. I would definitely go back.

Very unprofessional staff, did not stick to things agreed upon (like pick up/drop off), not responsive via WhatsApp, got a video call from a guy lying in bed, room was not made when I was let in, two people tried to enter my room while I was in it. The room size was maybe 7sqm not 12 as was promised in the booking. Decided to have dinner there because there is no restaurant close and I did not feel comfortable in the area alone at night, got an a la carte menu but they did serve additional dishes, which I only realized later and had to pay for, dirty dishes were placed in front of me, I only ever received a drink after finishing my meal. In the morning I had to leave early and three boys were sleeping on the sofas in the lobby, none of them awake to hand me my breakfast or open the locked front door or bring me to my pick up place. I felt extremely uncomfortable in all of those situations and cannot recommend this place at all.

Authentic traditional home with great service

O Abdul foi extremamente atencioso. Estava sempre a perguntar se estávamos bem e se precisávamos de alguma coisa. Inclusivamente fez um curativo ao pé do meu filho.

O funcionário mais alto perguntou se íamos sair à hora de jantar, dissemos que sim e ele respondeu que teríamos de chegar antes das 22h30 porque iam dormir. Íamos ter contigo M os amigos e nem conseguimos jantar com eles.

Initial interactions with staff were a little cold due to seemingly some confusion but fine and very helpful after that!
