Central , with lovely generous hosts
It is like doll house, beautiful 😍 🤩
Good location very cosy and the fire was nice
Lovely cottage
Liked the location
The dampness round the lower internal walls.
Unser zweites Mal im Johnny Joe's. Deshalb gerne wieder gebucht. Unverändert: Cottage passend zu Land und Leuten. Netter Kontakt und herzliche Begrüßung durch die Vermieter.
A beautifully appointed cottage. Laundry facilities helped a lot! Lol. Owners were attentive and wonderful! We were met with home baked Bakewell, and then brown bread, both were amazing! Will define back!
The cottage was cosy, homely and welcoming on a very wet and rainy week in Achill. The homemade scones and blackcurrant jam were a lovely treat, thank you.
Given the weather conditions we may have benefitted from having access to a tumble drier instead of hanging damp clothes, towels around the cottage to dry.
Very good location. Nice view, traditional Irish cottage.
Bathroom ; only downstairs
Neat cosy little place, location was good
There is no upstairs toilet Insect bites Too close to a very busy road
Ideal spot on Achill for us and our 6 month old. Had absolutely everything we needed, with a beautiful view, right beside Lynotts.
Lovely neat irish cottage, scenic location, close to beaches, great walking in the area, lovely little pub two doors up from the cottage.
The location is beautiful. Gorgeous landscape n the cottage so cosy. Close to beaches
We had the best time location was brilliant 2 doors from lynotts pub great music and craic. Located 10mins from achill sound near supervalu and shops and takeaways. Lovely food in Ted's. Comfy house had everything so quaint we loved it. Plenty of room.

A cosy home with unique character in a great location - a very memorable place to stay! Lovely hosts too.
Nothing really…. The bathroom with toilet is downstairs but this wasn’t really a problem.
Everything, the views were amazing and the people are so friendly
Lovely owners. Lovely traditional house with easy access to the rest of the island and scenic views. Very enjoyable stay.

It is a very nice cottage, we felt comfortable and had an excellent time. Some healthy mystery muffins arrived at our door also during our stay 😋 Thanks a million, would absolutely recommend and will be back for sure.
The road is a bit busier than expected but it is not a huge issue.
We loved our stay at Johnny Joe’s. The cottage location is perfect as a base to explore the island - 10 mins’ drive from various beaches, Achill Sound village, Keel village and lots of restaurants and bars scattered across the island. It’s also conveniently located next door to Lynott’s, a fabulous little bar with live trad music on Friday and Monday nights. The cottage itself is comfy and has everything needed - including recently installed Wi-Fi. It’s really secure, easy to find, easy parking, and the owners Mairead and Paddy are super friendly, hospitable, helpful and welcoming. We couldn’t have asked for more and would definitely stay here again!
Location was good and Achill is beautiful
Could not contact host until days before arrival. Not very clean kitchen and musty smell in the property. Had to buy our own pot & pan to cook, as these were v moldy!
Perfect location, very nice hosts. It was nice to get a loaf of delicious bread. An atmospheric house, comfortable beds.
Delightful cottage in a wonderful location.
Liked the quaintness of the cottage. Very familiar with Achill so knew the location would be fine, very handy for Lynotts pub!!
The weather wasn't great, so found the property a little chilly. Could have done with a heavier duvet or maybe some extra bedding.
The location was excellent, perfectly positioned to explore Achill. The property was spotlessly clean and excellently equipped with everything you’d need. Freshly baked brown bread and scones were very well received by us all.

great location to visit North & South of Achill as Johnny Joe’s is in the middle. Very comfortable and well equipped cottage. The burner was welcoming and great for these cooler evenings. The cottage is very well insulated. spotlessly clean .
No issues.
A very charming homely cottage, comfortable in every way. Lovely homemade brown bread waiting for us when we arrived. will definitely stay again.
