Reviewed Jun 3, 2026A great welcome from Christina that included a full review of the facilities and recommendations for the local area. The house was fully equiped with everything we needed including an outdoor socket for charging the car. Christina also provided complimentary supplies for breakfast. The facility also included access to a wonderful garden and view over an adjoining lake. Evening entertainment is only a short walk into town. Local supermarkets are also less tha 5 mins drive.

Reviewed May 23, 2026Wonderful cottage with even more wonderful owners, Christina her husband and family were so welcoming, friendly and exceptionally helpful.
There were fresh flowers awaiting us and the cottage is in the most beautiful setting with views over the water and of bird feeders which are frequented with so many different birds ( we spent hours watching them ), the cottage is so quiet and peaceful and tucked away beside the owners property, the grounds are gorgeous.. the owners have thought of everything, outside there is a table and chairs and two sunbeds and inside the cottage has everything you could possibly need, it is spotlessly clean and the beds are so so comfortable ( the bedding is top quality and smells divine )
A couple of minutes drive brings you into Dungloe which has all you need from friendly pubs to supermarkets and two minutes from the property is a mobile coffee van with pods that look out over the fabulous scenery, you are truly spoilt if you stay here.
Thank you Christina and family for being such wonderful hosts, we enjoyed every minute and will be highly recommending you to friends and family! Perfection in a most amazing part of Ireland!
Highly recommend you visit Glenveagh Castle, wonderful day out.

Genial hosts who are a storehouse of local knowledge and recommendations. A top three in the 50 or so bookings i’ve had in the last five years.

Reviewed Dec 31, 2025We absolutely loved our stay! The cottage was spotless, beautifully maintained, and felt warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. It was very comfortable and well-equipped with everything we needed, which made our stay completely stress-free. The surroundings were peaceful and perfect for relaxing, and at the same time, the location was very convenient. You could really feel the care and attention to detail put into the place. Christina and Ben were amazing hosts — incredibly kind, welcoming, and always helpful, making us feel genuinely cared for throughout our stay. It truly felt like a home away from home, and we would happily return without hesitation.
Honestly, there was nothing we didn’t like. We enjoyed every part of our stay.

Reviewed Nov 9, 2025Everything was fab from start to finish. Christina and Benito were so communicative and made us feel so welcome. The cottage is perfectly placed for exploring County Donegal, there are so many things to do! Make sure you visit Slieve League for the amazing views, we also had a lovely visit to the Crolly Distillery 👌, the local pubs and people were all so friendly too

Lovely warm welcome from the delightful hosts who were on hand for any queries we had. Overall the best experience we've had over many years of travelling. Our heartfelt thanks!

They were so generous and did everything in their power to ensure we had a relaxed and comfortable stay. Reviewed Mar 20, 2024Location. Proximity to town, shops, restaurants and pubs. Beaches and islands a short distance away. On Wild Atlantic Way and surrounded by fantastic views and interesting places. Christina and Ben were exceptionally helpful and full of local knowledge.
There wasn’t anything we didn’t like. A great double birthday weekend. Great setting beside a little lake.
