The Lake House Dungloe

Fabulous location with views over the lake and a great base to explore beautiful Donegal. We all loved the window seat in the kitchen to sit and relax and enjoy the view. The house was extremely well equipped with very utensil though off in the kitchen and extra thoughtful treats and bed left for the dogs which Bamba and Teo loved . Thank you. A real home form home .

Lovely views and peaceful. Perfect for stay with plenty of room. Owners were brilliant throughout confirming we could take our dog who loved sitting at the window.

The location was amazing and the view across the lake was magnificent. The house had such a large amount of kitchen equipment and everything you could possibly need. A very comfortable house.

The only drawback was no enclosed garden, to let the dog out alone, it was brilliant that it was dog friendly. The steps out front were steep enough and fine for the fit and healthy probably not so suitable for young children or older people.

Clean, amazing views, stunning location, lovely people in this village couldn’t have found a more outstanding place

This house never fails to deliver for us . The owner is absolutely lovely to deal with and nothing is ever too much trouble . There are always lovely treats left for both us and the dogs :)

Outstanding property in a beautiful location. The Lake House was really well equipped with everything we needed. A great place to spend the week. Would highly recommend the property to anyone looking to stay in Dungloe.

Was on a fishing holiday/spread the ashes of a family member. Excellent location for fishing with the Dungloe boat jetty right at the end of the road. Cannot rate anything about this property high enough. Just excellent all round.

We had a brilliant stay at the lake house in Ireland! The location was perfect – offering stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. The house was well-equipped with everything we needed to cook and enjoy our time, making our stay comfortable and convenient. Our dog loved the outdoor space and exploring the lovely surroundings. Overall, it was an incredible experience, and we would definitely return.

Lake house is gorgeous. So relaxing and everything you need is there.

The house was super clean and comfortable with lively views over the lake. The host had thought of everything, the cupboards were well stocked with all utensils/crockery if required. We didn’t bring our dog in the end but the house was well set up for a dog, he missed out!

The Lake House was more than we could have wished for. Perfect location with stunning views. The facilities are top notch with special touches everywhere you look, such as gifts for the dog, books and puzzles and local information all at your fingertips. Spotlessly clean with comfy beds and a breathtaking kitchen/dining area with a beautiful view. We will be back!

This property never fails to deliver for us . It is always maintained to a high standard, this along with its beautiful location on an elevated site makes it a treasured spot to holiday . The fact that it is dog friendly is such a bonus and the little extras left for our dogs was such a lovely touch . always look forward to pulling in the driveway ❤️

Steps up were steep for my mother in law and elderly dog. I hadn’t realised (booked last min) that it was a flat not house as the name suggests but the downstairs neighbours were lovely

The location was perfect for our needs! The house was lovely and had everything we needed in it! We were able to borrow a coffee pot from family ( we “Americans” were unaccustomed to using the lovely one that was provided!)

The views from this property are wonderful. It is incredibly light and spacious and comfortable. The host went out of her way to help us and all communication was excellent. It is in an excellent location with plenty to do nearby.

The house was perfect! Everything you need and more great Wi-Fi plenty of room, house was super clean and it was a home from home ! loads of nearly by walks and beaches ! People in the town where so nice and welcoming, Most pubs let you bring you dog in which was perfect for us. ! Only 15 minutes into town on foot! Great views

This place is in a gorgeous spot with views over lake Dunglow. It was spotless and had lovely furnishings. We had a fabulous stay

Super location for exploring beautiful Donegal and having a pint of Guinness in the excellent Bridge Inn in Dungloe! Spacious and beautifully modernised. We were are a party of 6 with three dogs and had plenty of of room

The property was stunning & the views were out of this world.. The kitchen area was our favourite area with the window seat overlooking the lake was especially popular with all of us. Storage space was fantastic, too.

Beautiful setting and a lovely home. We were blessed with the weather which made our stay even better. Lots of great scenery, beaches and a great place to stay as keen golfers.

House is amazing. Everything you need and more. Location is stunning literally right on the lake. House was absolutely spotless. Owners of house were great communicators and even posted back two hoodies we'd left behind. Dungloe is a great spot too and about 15 to 20 mins walk. Aldi, Lidl and SuperValu just up the road from the house.

This is a beautiful, spacious apartment - tbf there were only two of us, with more people it mightn't seem as big, but it is extremely well-appointed. The bed in the master bedroom is really comfortable! The weather was variable when we stayed, but even in the rain the view over the lake from the triple-aspect kitchen diner was lovely.

The house is beautiful, and host Aisling kept in touch about our stay. A very comfortable and spacious not too far from beaches and very close to Dungloe town centre.

With the current heat wave, the quilts on the beds were too heavy, other than that perfection all round 💋

Location , bedrooms and kitchen all fab, very roomy and view lovely of the lake , very clean

Sofas and chair in TV room were uncomfortable , had bean bags but not comfortable for say watching a movie

Lack of information about where to put rubbish and recycling. Not enough seating in lounge area and no outside seating.

Home from home stay - we had everything provided to enjoy a hassle free, relaxing break. The house was spotlessly clean, couldn’t fault the place! The area is so peaceful and a perfect base to explore the local beaches and coastline. Hopefully we can make a return visit to enjoy it again!

We had such a lovely stay. The Lake House more than lived up to our expectations. The home was immaculate, so comfortable with top of the line conveniences, as well as beautiful views of the countryside from its kitchen and living room bay windows . Wonderful location, close to markets and Dungloe center.

There wasn’t anything not to love. A five star property.
