The property is surrounded by forests hills and wildlife, the house was warm and comfortable, very peaceful and safe. Our host was very kind and his father checked in once to see if we needed anything and was a lovely man. The sheep sometimes came into the garden for a bit of grass and we're very cute. It's out of the way but thats just what we wanted.
I loved the area, the cottage was lovely and our host Conor was very pleasant.
The weather was a bit colder and wetter than the southeast of the country, but not much we could do about that.
Quiet location, dog friendly. Host replied to queries. Beautiful scenery nearby. Comfortable beds, 2 showers and toilets ensuite. Plus extra toilet.
Sheep poo in garden- dog liked it. (We closed gates to keep sheep out) Wary of dog with cattle and sheep just over the fence, didn't leave him outside unattended. As we self catered storage for dry foods would be helpful. Kitchen could be better equipped for cooks, (veg peeler/colander/non stick pan)
petit cottage fort agréable
Very quiet and secluded

Es ist ein sehr niedliches Häuschen.
Die Sauberkeit der Küche lässt sehr zu wünschen übrig. Zudem ist ihre Ausstattung sehr mau, nur zusammengewürfelte Sachen.
Charming cottage in a lovely location, off the beaten track yet still close to the major attractions in Sligo and Leitrim. It has all the comfort of home and a roaring wood-fired stove on top. Beautiful scenery! And the hosts were most ameanable
The cottage itself is beautiful. Comfortable and once the fire was going it was cozy. Location is perfect, peaceful, no one around 😃. But just a short drive to beautiful beaches restaurants shops.
The only thing I didn't like was the cottage was freezing when we got there. Because you give an estimated time of arrival have the heating on for an hr beforehand 😃
Tolles, einsam gelegenes Cottage mit toller Ausstattung und viel Platz, der Vermieter ist super nett, alles hat einwandfrei funktioniert, wir können dieses Cottage nur empfehlen!
Everything - the cottage was immaculate. It had Everything we needed and more. The log burning stove was a favourite of ours. Stunning house in a stunning location. Just perfect, we loved every second of our stay.

Amazing place enjoyed every minute, unique experience 😍😍😍
Lokalizacja, cisza, spokój. Kominek :)
There is no such a thing… :)
Lovely peaceful tranquil location. We felt it very authentic old Irish cottage. Plenty or fuel for the stove.
Would be good idea to have a warning about how hot the handle of the stove can get!
The cottage had everything we needed!!Amazing view. Great location!
This cottage is gems in the middle off no where, our family loved ♥️
Very secluded just the way we wanted
No working tv or wifi .
Words wouldn't do this house justice. Paradise on Earth . Fabulous location, a warm cosy cottage, Everything you need .
Everything was perfect.

The cottage is ideal if you want to escape from the busy urban life. Every morning you're woken by a chorus of bird song. If you're into that there are apps that will identify them all too whilst you drink your morning coffee. The new wood burner is amazing and as they say is bush TV, sit and watch for hours. The WiFi is more than good enough to stream if you really can't do without tv. You rarely hear another car or see anyone which is what we liked. Conor and his dad did pop by to say hello which was lovely and a shout out to the dad's sheepdog who is a customer service star. If I come back to Ireland I'll be staying again as it was exactly what I was looking for. Peace, quiet, authentic and rustic. Ideal.
The place is very nice with a great atmosphere. We spent there only one night but we loved it. The location is super unique. The communication with the owner was perfect, he was very helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much.
Beautiful location, very quiet: just us and nature. House very well equipped and warm.

Beautifully renovated cottage, peaceful setting
Quiet, ideal place for a brake with family & pets. We loved the fireplace. Beds were comfy 😌.
Some record player could be nice. I could almost see it in the corner of the living room. It would be a great addition to this atmospheric place.
Beautiful location and a lovely cottage. Great host and easy check in.
No phone service or WiFi would be difficult for a longer stay.
Fantastic place, house ect..
We have just returned from a fantastic stay at Carraun Cottage, Conor is a fantastic host and couldn't be more helpful. The cottage exceeded our expectations and is nothing short of a fairytale. The grounds are beautiful, the location is beautiful with stunning views, close to a town with everything needed. Everything about this cottage is special and we treated it so, thank you for helping us to create fun family memories. We will definitely return. This place is magical.
Absolutely nothing.
nice n Cosy
tat there was no coverage and there was no Wi-Fi
We had a lovely stay at this location. Though I never had the opportunity to meet Conor, as we were arriving well after dark, he was very quick to answer questions and quite patient with me as I seemed to have so many. I did have the opportunity to meet his dad, and found him to be a lovely man; friendly, knowledgable, and personable. That’s to be expected in Ireland, of course, but not so much where we come from. We had some issues during our visit that were beyond the owners control; the brand new (as in just a few weeks since installation) point of use water heater in the main bedroom’s shower failed, and they were so apologetic, though a defect was certainly not their fault and there was not much they could do about it. They handled it well, and it wasn’t too much trouble. A plumber was arriving straight away to get it rectified, as it was under warranty. A few things to note; 1. There is no telephone or internet. We found this to be only a slight burden for navigation, but nothing else. It was quite pleasant to relegate the phone for music duties only. Make sure people know where you are in case of emergency. 2. The fireplace door requires quite the effort to open, turning the handle counter-clockwise. It is fully functional, I assure you. Just put some muscle into it. Plenty of wood and peat are provided. 3. All supplies are provided for washing both your body and dishes, and the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you might need to cook, reheat, and eat your food. Hand and bath towels are provided as well, but no face towels/washcloths. 4. Conor will inform you that both the house heater and the water heater for the second bedroom, sinks and kitchen are on timers. Don’t be concerned about that! It’s obviously for saving electricity, but we found the water to be hot at all times and the cabin plenty comfortable. 5. For those not familiar with the internal workings of these type of toilet, a good hard, quick push on the handle will make a...
Would have preferred to have had washcloths and a shelf in the showers for shampoo and conditioner, as we had a handicap person amongst us that had some difficulty leading over to pick things up off the floor.
Everything was perfect ☺️
Very nice, cozy house!
secluded, relaxing, loads of wood / turf / coal left which was very generous.
cleanliness could be better, showers weren’t clean for eg. & one blocked.
Carraun Cottage is absolutely beautiful! Simply furnished but supplies all the essential comforts in a beautiful part of the country.
Nothing
Perfect location, quiet place! Large backyard ( great for pets) House is cosy, warm, comfortable. Everything you need is in the house. Highly recommended!
This is a fantastic place, tucked away in the Leitrim countryside. The cottage is a classic Irish cottage lovingly restored and modernised. It was sparkling clean and very well insulated. The beds were really comfortable. You can find everything you need in the kitchen and more. The place is perfect for digital detox. My teenage sons had to chat with us and we played cards and board games in the evenings, something we haven't done for ages. Conor is a great, communicative host. Perhaps, a map of the area and sights would come useful if there was one in the house, since there is no Internet or phone reception, but it is not a negative at all, just well-meaning advice. Anyway, thank so much Conor and family! We are hoping to be back again, we loved it so much.
Nothing. It was perfect.
The cottage was warm on arrival the fire was set just had to light it, its a lovely place to stay the beds were so comfy I loved everything about this cottage it was spot on and not too far from Manorhamilton if you needed shops.I would recommend this cottage to anyone who wants to get away for a break. We visited Seàn mcDiarmaids house and the tour guide was there he was amazing and so informative best tour we ever had. It's worth a visit Conor and his dad were very helpful and brought us a delicious apple cake it was so nice of them. Would definitely go back again.

We loved everything about the place. Picture perfect cottage, fully equipped with all you could need on family weekend. Beds were super comfy and we hadn't slept so well in a while. Conor and his dad are super nice and accommodating. Excellent place as a base for sightseeing Leitrim, Sligo and Donegal.
There was nothing we didn't like.
Easily got to. We stopped and asked a local en route just to be sure . He was so helpful and directed us to the door. Cottage is quaint, traditional, everything you'd need in the kitchen. Beds extremely comfortable. Quiet and beautiful location. Seating and BBQ outside. Fireplace and loads of fuel. Host and his family lovely people.
The cottage was picturesque and the location peaceful. The hosts could not have been more helpful; I hope that all visitors to this beautiful place take care of it.
Lovely cottage to escape to the country side & relax for a few days. Host was brilliant to deal with and answered all our questions & made sure we had all we needed.
