Reviewed Jun 15, 2026Stayed here with my husband and 3 other couples. It was clean, spacious and close to wedding venue! We all brought items for a fry the next morning and the kitchen had everything we needed. Easy to access and straight forward booking! Hotel were able to drop us home that evening.
We were short a fork for the fry lol!

The cleanliness was apparent when you entered the house and continued from room to room. The furniture and decor was tastefully presented.

Unfortunately the sheets on the beds had not been changed and used dirty towels were on the floor. For £250 per night I find this extremely unacceptable. I tried tried phoning the owner and also text but got no reply, so instead of a relaxing night away we had to change the beds and clean the bathrooms. A simple apology or explanation would have been nice but to just ignore us and yet keep all the money we had to pay in advance is completely unsatisfactory!

Only slight issue was the hit water as 8 of us needed to shower and it didn't work amazingly, might have been due to lack of boosting it for us.

The hot water - guidance on how to operate it as we arrived and left our stuff off and had a Quick Look about. It wasn’t really clear otherwise we would have set it to come on for the morning. Hot water wasn’t set so no hot water in the morning for anybody.

Some damage to walls, one toilet didn’t flush properly, was freezing cold when we got there and took nearly the whole nights stay to warm it up as such large home. The bath water was far too cold even though I had waited for a long time after turning water heater on. But saying that we only stayed the one day and night so could be different if we had been at property for a longer stay

Reviewed Nov 7, 2024The location was fantastic - we stayed here for a wedding at the Castle and it was within 10 mins walking distance. The rooms were very spacious.
The toilet was blocked in one of the en suites and in that same room the shower did not drain properly. This left us with only one shower for all of us which required some planning when getting ready for the wedding.

Reviewed May 28, 2024Beautiful spacious house, lovely crisp white bed linen. Lovely quiet location within walking distance to all local amenities. Arrangements for keys to the home was hassle free. Kitchen well equipped. We had a wonderful stay - thank you!
The kitchen floor was clean but sticky under foot. Holes in the walls unfortunate, these fixed and a lick of paint would make a big difference to the home.

The only negative is there was only 1/2 a toilet roll in one ensuite to cover 4 bathrooms and up to 8 guests. Perhaps forgotten to leave adequate roll. This did not negatively affect our stay however.
