When we got there, there was hair on the bed, hair on the floor and all in the bathroom where it hadn't been vacumn and then mopped and was hair stuck all in the corners of the bathroom. No tv to watch as wifi kept glitching and the eve outside the door banged all night cause of the wind.

Parken sehr knifflig. Wenn ich abends anrufe, weil ich das Appartement in der Dunkelheit nicht sehe, wäre es schön wenn das Personal nicht nur sagt "ich sehe dich, du bist richtig", sondern einfach schnell herkommt...

There was parking off-street (although a bit tight for our 4WD) but managed OK. The property presented very clean and tidy and good value for money. Recommended.

Opononi Bliss ist sehr schön eingerichtet, hat alles in der Küche was man braucht (bis auf den Geschirrspüler) und bietet einen fantastischen Ausblick auf das Meer bzw. die Halbinsel gegenüber. Für uns eines der schönsten Unterkünfte.

Der Bungalow selbst ist bltzsauber, zweckmäßig und modern eingerichtet und hat alles, was man braucht. Ein Highlight ist die Terrasse mit dem Blick auf Meer und Dünen.
Es wäre schön, wenn es eine Herdplatte gäbe.

La vétusté de certains équipements (micro-ondes, tables … ) et alors le pire 3 mns d’eau chaude sous la douche puis eau glacée 🥶🥶 Le ménage n’était pas parfait. C’était tout poussiéreux sous le lit. Le frigo n’était pas calé. À chaque fois que vous ouvrez la porte il faut tenir le frigo pour qu’il ne bascule pas. Les photos sont très bien optimisées par rapport à la réalité.

Reviewed Jan 26, 2026We thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing stay in this cottage overlooking the Hokianga Harbour. The views from the balcony are absolutely stunning. We spent as much time as we could sitting on the deck enjoying the peace and quiet of the area and gazing at the view. The location was perfect for us to explore some of the surrounding areas of Northland and we were able to make some easy day trips from there. The cottage is very tidy, well furnished and fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Comfortable beds, excellent aircon. The place was spotless on arrival. The hosts were very easy to communicate with...always prompt to reply to our comments and queries. We certainly hope we may have the opportunity to return here in the future.
We have no complaints at all.
