Beautiful location, comfortable beds, had everything you needed, home from home, lovely welcoming fires and a beautiful apple tart to welcome you
Not one thing
Great location Cost stay
Really homely house, owners couldnt of been nicer always available to tell us about the area and if anything unsure of in the house answered straight away. The pub being a two minute walk a great bonus. Very comfortable stay with a baby.
Best hosts I've had on bookings. Nothing could have been better. Real Irish hospitality. Walked in to a warm house with log fires burning.
nothing
Kitchen was well stocked and we cooked many meals during our stay. All the utilities worked great and we had no issues. Turf and starters were available had we had fires in the morning and evening. A great village pub is two doors down and during beautiful morning walks you can see the ocean all around you.
There were no issues at all. It couldn't have been a more pleasant experience. It was as comfortable as being in our own home.
A very beautiful traditional house on the peninsula. Beds are so comfortable and the size from outside is deceiving. We had cows and sheep as neighbours so they caused us no issues. I will definitely be staying here again next time we come out. The little touches such as roaring fires on arrival butter milk and bread and also the apple pie just a shame we never got a chance to enjoy it.
There was nothing I didn’t like about the property at all my only complaint is the location on the gps maps took us to completely different part of the peninsula.
Very clean, plenty of space. Really cosy sitting room - loads of turf supplied for stove which produces incredible heat! Really responsive host.
Shower was piping hot but very weak pressure
Lovely warm house, looks small from the outside but plenty of space on the inside loads of room, well worth the price would definitely stay again and the owners where very helpful
This place has an amazing location. Me and my family were doing part of the wild Atlantic coast road. And this location was fantastic to reach so many places within that part of Co. Mayo.
We had a bit of bother with the fires and the central heating. However the hosts are amazing at helping out, so if you are staying here, honestly just get in touch with them.
The warm cosy country feel. Fire was lit on arrival and complementary apple tart milk bread and more. Even supplied us with as much turf wood and fire lighters to ensure we were warm our entire stay.
Excellent location. Clear communication. The host was happy to help when needed. The photos do not show how big the house is. We received a warm welcome and had a couple of lovely thoughtful touches.
It was such a lovely homely home- clean and had everything we needed- the men are keen golfers and had their choice of beautiful courses and the ladies had some beautiful scenery, shops and relaxation. The wee fire with plenty of stocked turf and a welcome apple tart was a lovely wee extra touch!
Nothing - it was perfect

Excellent welcome when we arrived. It was a cold, wet day when we arrived at the property, but there was warm turf fire glowing in the stove, and the smell of turf was great. It was so good to get into a warm house. There was also an apple tart on the table and milk in the fridge, which was great. It was really homely. The hosts were very helpful.
Roomy, comfortable, everything you need
we liked it all...comfort, cleanliness, the owners were wonderful and very helpful, and we also loved the location.
Lovely cosy cottage, in a great location with the bonus of being a very short walk to the local pub! When we arrived there were two turf fires going and an apple pie waiting for us which was a nice touch. We are regular visitors to Belmullet, but hadn't explored the Corclogh area, so was surprised to find some new sites to explore such as the Dún ma Mbo.
Can only think of some very minor points. A new kettle would be good and the shower water pressure was very low, but these small points didn't detract from our stay
Everything was excellent. Fires lighting when we arrived was a really nice touch. Location was great, shop and a lovely pub just seconds away. Would recommend to anyone and will definitely be back
Super comfy beds, spotlessly clean property, very homely in a great location
West House is a big family house on the Belmullet peninsula. It is inland. It stands by itself in an old farm yard. The land here is so narrow that you are quickly at the sea and Belmullet. There are two huge fires which were lit when we arrived. A welcome pack of food was there for us. The hosts were accessible and friendly. They sorted out any problems quickly. It is extremely good value for money.
If you haven't a Satnav for Ireland you need clear instructions for the house. Head out of Belmullet for Blacksod: when the road turns left to Blacksod follow it and then turn immediately right up hill. This road is signposted to the blow hole. Follow the road for about two miles until you see the bar on your right. The house stands by itself almost immediately to your right. Check you know the names of places in Gaeltacht as well as English. You will need a rain coat.
Lovely house- hosts are great, they had the fires lit and an apple pie waiting for our arrival. Gorgeous location, handy for exploring both north and south mayo by car. Nice secure front garden which was ideal for our collie (and she loved watching the sheep!)

One of the best family holidays and stay we had @ West House, it ticked all the criteria - Location, Cleanliness, Comfort & Surrounding with flying grade, the house has everything you need for perfect family holidays, highly recommend , Thank you
Everything, John and Ann were very welcoming and had both stoves lit for us and all the essentials in, milk bread and a lovely apple tart. Location was perfect for touring the mullet peninsula.
Nothing to dislike
we found the house to be so comfortable and rooms spotlessly clean. all needs were thought of.
the kitchen was a little tight on space. kitchen table too big for the room.
we loved it, very comfortable and clean. Fantastic hosts the house was stocked with all the essentials, fires lit on arrival, not forgetting the lovely apple pie on the table. Highly recommend excellent location to explore the beautiful scenery around Erris peninsula. Fabulous friendly Belmullet people
