The house was much bigger than I expected! Everything was absolutely perfect, the beds were very comfortable and the location was ideal for the wedding we were attending in the hotel nearby.
Facilities were fine. Comforable beds. Very clean. Great location tucked away from town but close enough to pop in when needed. Beautiful decor and garden. Gerry was very welcoming and available if needed. Will definitey book again when back in Tipp.
Excellent accommodation, definitely far more than could be expected. Spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and every implement you could need. Extremely comfortable. The location has to be seen, words wont do it justice. Highly recommended.
Nothing.
Gerry en zijn zoon Luke zijn echt warme mensen. Het huis is heel cosy and goed uitgerust.
Gerry was a lovely host.
There was absolutely nothing to dislike

Lovely location. Very nice host and his dog. Very quiet location. Lovely garden.
Amazing location, whole property to yourself, super clean and the host Gerry couldn’t have been anymore helpful!
This property is incredible one of the best we have stayed in, in 7 weeks. The home is beautifully decorated and it’s comfortable and spotless . The beds are heaven . We only wish we had booked for longer. There’s a great restaurant at the hotel only 1k up the road . Views surrounding this property are amazing.
Nothing
Very good experience: generous host, excellent views, the accomodation was well-appointed and clean, and ultimately I had an excellent stay. I do recommend arriving by car (either rental or your own), as you'll need to rely on taxis otherwise which can become quite expensive. Overall, highly recommended!
Very beautiful gardens and views. Spacious and very good location for traveling to sights. Private parking area. Very quiet and peaceful location
The house is in a lovely location, equipped with all the facilities you wish to have. The owner- Gerry, gave us a warm welcome with a lot of useful information. The house was nice and warm. Lots of TV channels available plus a good wifi signal. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. My family enjoyed evening walks in the nearby forest. Lots of amazing views.Great place for a holiday. Highly recommend , thank you !
Well equipped and comfortable
Maybe a clothes dryer.
The house is perfectly equipped : you feel 'at home' as you enter ! Very nice garden at the back too. Very warm welcome from Gerry, the owner with plenty of ideas to places to go and restaurants
Nothing to say : everything was perfect !
Hidden gem in a beautiful location, the property itself was clean and comfortable. Perfect for a family or small group who enjoy exploring places of natural beauty! Very close to Aherlow House hotel (we were at a wedding during our stay and this was a 5 minute drive). Beds were all comfortable and there was plenty of space to play and chill out. Great large dining table for those enjoying a big meal at home. The garden if fabulous! Shared with the main house, but we had it to ourselves and met the very friendly and helpful gardener who gave great advice on local spots to visit. The owner was in touch on day 1 and was easy to contact with any questions we had (with quick and helpful responses)
Not entirely private (no issues for us at all, but the property is very close to main house which I can imagine being strange when the owners are at home).
Just about everything. The only issue was the bedding being too hard for our liking. Otherwise a great home, location and very peaceful. Local walks were lovely, and close proximity to areas of interest.
Gerry was a wonderful host and was readily available to help with whatever we needed! Loved the cozy and relaxing feel of the house, and the surrounding around in the Glen of Aherlow was so gorgeous!
It wasn’t made clear in the listing that the owners live in the house on the property. It wasn’t a problem but I would encourage you to list that in the booking page. Additionally the lack of a dryer or easy drying of clothes was a bit difficult for us. I would encourage you to provide an indoor drying rack. Thanks!
There was everything we needed.
There was nothing we didn’t like.
cosy house with a beautiful garden, host was very friendly, great location, quiet and beautiful.
Very spacious, beautifully decorated, well equipped. Delightful grounds, Gerry was welcoming and full of information.

Perfect
Gerry was a thoughtful and attentive host and shared lots of helpful information about the area. The home was beautifully decorated, the kitchen was nicely furnished with cooking tools, and everything was very clean. Truly all the main comforts of being at home in a gorgeous setting!
Loved the accommodation. Everything you need and more. The gardens and scenery around was superb. Gerry was a very welcoming host. Would definitely stay again.
Leaving
The garden setting is delightful with gorgeous views. The cottage itself is charming and well equipped. To us, this area is the prettiest in Ireland.
Nothing
This is a great place to stay for anyone interested in hiking or bicycling in the area. It was really comfortable, peaceful and quiet. The word "cosy" often means "small", but this house is spacious and well-appointed.
The plumbing and electrical fixtures are very European, which seem a little complicated to Americans.
The location was so beautiful. Amazing views, right in what they call the Glen. Great location to see all the different places in Ireland.
Located in the beautiful Glen oh Aherlow, this property was a haven in the busy travel itinerary. Homely with well stocked kitchen of utensils and some essentials like tea coffee and washing detergent.
Not a negative for us but anyone booking should realise this accommodation is country living eg water pressure may be less than in the cities.
The house itself is very cosy and private. Gerry helped with the local taxi numbers and even called one of them to get an idea of fare from train station to his house, since we didnt have a car. You will need a car if you really want to explore the area. The house is in a beautiful valley and you can explore nature at best if you have your own transport.
Flush in both the bathrooms didn't work properly. Needed time to refill the flush tank which could take 10-15 minutes and flushing of at least 3-4 times. There was no dishwasher, so we spent some time washing dishes by hand. The fireplace in the pictures looked great...but was not functional (notice said under maintenance). There was no water in the shower of common bathroom (we didn't bother the host in the morning since it was early, not sure if there is any other way to make it function, but the water heater was similar to the one in Ensuite bathroom) There is no convenience store nearby (which the host had informed on booking) so you have to go to town which is 8-9 kms from house to get groceries if you are staying longer than 1 day. There is a restaurant 2kms away (Aherlow hotel), we didnt explore that.
Very bright and spacious. Well equipped kitchen Lovely outdoor space.
Everything was satisfactory.
Everything! Beautiful location, friendly/helpful host. Lovely views and great garden for kids. Accommodation perfect for families
Gerry was very helpful, showing us the facilities and explaining what was where in the district
rural location, quiet & comfortable
Very nice house in a peacefull place. Beautiful garden and view on the galtee mountains. We spent a lovely time there. Perfect for a family or Two couples with the 2 bathrooms.
Self catering
The house was a little cold but this was probably due to the rainy weather. Otherwise we have no complains and can highly recomend the place.
Warm welcome from the host (Gerry). Very spacious accommodation. Central location to visit Cashel and Cahir as well as Tipperary. Beautiful landscape in the Glen of Aherlow area.
None that I can think of.
All aspect as the host met us on arrival full explanation of all facilities and was readily available Route from Tipperary was good and all information correct
Not a full flush on the toilet, but this is really nik picking and was only a very slight inconvenience otherwise all very good
The property was very spacious, with a well stocked kitchen and a beautiful garden and views of the Galtees. Gerry our host, was welcoming, friendly and then left us to ourselves which we really like. Great walks very close by.
Beautiful accommodation and wonderful host.
This home is very spacious with a beautiful garden and view and a well equiped kitchen. The owner was extremely accommodating. We would gladly stay again and recommend highly.
Everything was perfect.
It was a perfect stay for us 10 out of 10
Excellent
Warm and cosy
Lovely area, great home, plenty of room. Very comfortable. Great instructions for everything from finding the place, getting into the house, all the light switches how everything works. Very comfortable really enjoyed our stay! thank you
spacious. there were only two of us, but for a family or group of four, it was a large property
no full length mirror. I can imagine that this property is regularly booked for the wedding venue at Aherlow House Hotel. there is no full length mirror anywhere, and applying make up might be challenging too. The heating was a little too warm for us and coming on too late in the morning. we did not wish to investigate and change it, so we lived with it.
Gerry left us plenty of useful things to use,the house itself was warm and extremely comfortable, each bedroom having its own bathroom, very quiet surroundings, also Bansha down the road{6km} has the cheapest fuel we've seen in a long time,eur1.59.9. all good.
nothing
It is a spacious and well-laid out house in a beautiful setting.
There were several problems with our visit. We had booked for two nights but left after the first night. The primary issue was that we could not get the heat to work so it was cold all night. I messaged the owner shortly after arriving and again the next morning but he did not respond. He claims he never got the messages but booking, com confirmed that they had been sent and didn't know why he said he didn't get them. The second issue was that the linens on one of the beds had a very strong perfume smell. My brother could not tolerate it so he tried to sleep on the couch. Since there was no heat in the house it was too cold and he ended up going to the car. There are two other less serious but annoying issues. In one of the showers the water would not stay on unless I held the button in, which made if difficult to soap up. The other issue is that the toilets would not flush solid waste unless we added a few liters of water to the tanks.
spacious and well appointed
no taxi service so nominated driver essential
