Reviewed Sep 17, 2026Location is excellent, the staff very friendly and helpful. Property very clean and had everything.
Felt the height of the microwave oven was not safe. Just a suggestion that it would be good to have a mirror the bedroom and a hook for clothes in the bathroom.

It’s about 10-15 minute walk from the lakefront. This is not a negative, as we knew this at booking. It’s just something people should be aware of.

5/10
Reviewed Jun 6, 2026We received an email with our access codes, which worked without a problem. The overall unit was large and clean with good seating in the lounge area. The bathroom was large. It was just up the hill from the center of Lake Tekapo.
The parking configuration was really odd. We couldn't tell if we were meant to park diagonally, horizontally, vertically or what - because in any direction, it looked like we would block other guests or our car would get damaged by other guests trying to get around our car. There were no sheers on the sliding doors in the lounge area and bedroom, these doors are only source of natural light. So if we wanted natural light, we were completely exposed to visible to everyone outside. Everything on the TV was in Chinese and since we don't read Chinese or know the system well, we couldn't change anything back to English. There was a strange, thick plastic piece that covered the entire top of the dining table - similar to the floor mat we have under our office chairs in our office. The bathroom didn't have any supplies or face flannel (washcloth). Everything felt kind of flimsy and cheap.

The couch was way too small.
10/10
Reviewed May 11, 2026The check-in was very easy and seamless. The door code was sent one day before arrival, so we could let ourselves in without any fuss. The laundry room with detergent was a big plus, and the kitchen was sufficient for simple cooking.
Nothing major. The only small suggestion would be to provide some basic cooking oil in the kitchen, as that would make it even more convenient for guests who want to cook.

Reviewed Jan 31, 2026Good location and comfortable beds. We liked the check in procedure and the door code system worked well. Good sized bathroom. Very clean and tidy.
No privacy from the bungalow behind so we had to keep the curtains closed and people walking past our unit could, and very often did, stare inside and could see us clearly. The notices about charges for any damage seemed a little excessive. The carpet in the lounge area was stained in some parts.
