Sisilli Pension is easy to reach by car from Seoul to Pyeongchang, and I highly recommend driving since it’s located in a quiet, deeper area. Once you arrive, the view is absolutely breathtaking. It’s far from tall buildings and surrounded by nature, perfect for a peaceful getaway. Pyeongchang Ski Resort is reachable within about half an hour, which is very convenient, yet the town itself is not busy or crowded. I visited during winter, and the outdoor area around the house was covered in snow, creating a calm and cozy atmosphere. A great place to relax and enjoy nature.

Towels are not provided, so you need to bring your own. Halal food is also difficult to find in the area, except one at Pyeongchang Ski Resort.

Overall, the experience was excellent. All facilities were in good working condition. The accommodation provided one queen bed, one single bed, and one queen futon with plenty of blankets, which made our stay very comfortable. The owner was extremely kind and welcomed us warmly upon arrival. Although the owner does not speak English fluently, they use a translation app, which made communication easy and smooth. This place is very suitable for families. We were able to play in the snow right in front of the house, and the slide was free to use with no extra charges. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Mr. Chong, the owner, is very lovely. He picked us up at Jinbu station the day we arrived. The snow wasn't thick the day we came, but the place is still so beautiful. Mr. Chong even took us to the supermarket to buy some food. The room is cozy and warm. Very recommended.

Our stay at Sisilli Pension in Pyeongchang was nothing short of magical. Nestled in a quiet, serene corner of nature, the environment itself feels like a gentle pause button for life; crisp air, peaceful surroundings, and a calmness that seeps into your soul the moment you arrive. The vibe of the place is warm and comforting, like a cozy winter postcard come to life. Every corner feels thoughtfully prepared for guests who want to slow down, breathe, and simply be. Inside, everything is thoughtfully prepared: from the bed warmer and carpet heater that keep you snug even on the coldest nights, to the reliable water heater, toilet bidet and the overall cozy home feel that makes you instantly relaxed and at ease. What truly made this stay exceptional, though, was the host; ahjussi, ahjumma, few cats and 2 cute dogs. Kind, attentive, and genuinely warm, they made us feel less like visitors and more like family. Every interaction was filled with sincerity and care, and that human touch turned a beautiful place into a heartfelt experience we will always remember. There is a small bittersweet note to our story as when we arrived, most of the heavy snow had already begun to melt. Just days after we left, it thickened again. Still, on our second day, we were blessed with a gentle snowfall. Watching the flakes drift down in silence was pure magic, even if it wasn’t quite heavy enough for full sled play. It felt like nature giving us a soft whisper of winter, just enough to make our hearts flutter. Sisilli Pension is a place of warmth, peace, and quiet wonder. Snow or no snow, it gifted us memories wrapped in calm, kindness, and a little bit of winter magic. We left with grateful hearts and beautiful memories.

The house was absolutely lovely—a cozy little cottage in the village, surrounded by beautiful landscapes and a serene atmosphere. A small river flowed just behind the house, which made the setting even more peaceful. The owner was incredibly kind and helpful. He picked us up from the train station and even shared a plate of sweet tangerines with us. We were lucky enough to experience snowfall on our second night—what a blessing! The owner also kindly taught my daughter the proper technique to play with the sledge, and she had an amazing time. By the way, there is a Japanese bidet in the bathroom, which is a big plus! Mona Yongpyong Dragon Plaza is about 30 minutes away by taxi (approximately RM100).

The location is outskirts suitable for a peace and quite surroundings. We arrived the snow just falling. Great location for kids to sledging in the compound.

Small resort away from noise and traffic. Peaceful surroundings and welcoming hosts. They brought us a plate of traditional pastries freshly baked by madame. Delicious. Plenty of outside space to enjoy and you can go for a forest walk straight from the property.

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful and peaceful place. It’s perfectly located near two stunning national parks, making it a great choice for families who enjoy nature. The host has a few friendly cats and dogs in the garden - my son especially loved playing with them. There’s also a trampoline and swing, which made the outdoor space even more fun for kids. The property has a lovely shared terrace with a small fountain, and each house has its own private terrace for outdoor dining or barbecues. The atmosphere was relaxing and welcoming. The host was incredibly kind and generous - I even got to try some delicious Korean cake she baked. We would absolutely recommend staying here.

Spacious, tidy room with a lovely ambiance! The room and bathroom are equipped with heaters. Even the carpet on the floor is heated. No worries about the cold weather!

Hard to find halal resto nearby. The convenience store doesn't have much food to offer, so it's best to buy in advance. Bring ur own food to heat or cook as the kitchen is provided in the room.

Loveeee everything about this place 🥺💗 ive had so much fun time & good memories. The pension was lovely, cosy, clean, beautiful & the host was soo kind & friendly!!!! We felt so welcomed :) We went here during winter, and we get to play the snow sled. Love it!!!! will forever remember this place & will surely come back Highly recommended 10/10 please dont skip this place if ure going for a winter trip in korea We stayed here overnight and went to Balwangsan cable car the next day, and returned back to Seoul on the evening. One of the best decisions ever made throughout our whole winter vacation in Korea

Our stay at Sisili Pension was absolutely exceptional! We went there for winter holiday for 3 nights. This might just be the best accomodation I've ever stayed at! The owner were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met. I would highly recommend this accomodation! LOVE, LOVE & LOVE!!

Choose this if you want to enjoy and spend your time with your family. The owner and wifey are so friendly and generous sharing some oranges with us. Place that we will come back again for sure!

I stayed here with my family of 6 and loved it so much! Snowy outside and warm as toast inside with plenty of room for all of us. The owner was so kind and immediately jumped on a sled down the slope with my youngest child to show her not to be scared. We all had an amazing time in Jinbu and wished we could have stayed longer. Already planning a trip back!

Very unique local experience - hosts are so hospitable. The property is gorgeous and secluded, so there is much to enjoy; beds and rooms are warm and comfortable. Children loved the cats and dogs on premise - even had the chance to walk two of the dogs!

Cute little chalet close to Odaesan National Park. Very warm and cosy with heated floors, rugs and blankets. Particularly liked the loft via the pull down ladder, made a great personal space for our daughter,

Trunquillity with white fluffy snow. Warm and cosy inside the house. The location was great for hiking up the road. The pick-up and drop-off service from Jinbu train station (20 minutes) was nice. Since we got 3 hours before our train arrived after check out, we took a 5 min taxy ride from the station to the Jinbu traditional market and the park. In all, it was a good experience.

First of all I need to say that our hearts melted by friendliness and hospitality of owner! This was first-rated. He offered to pick us up from and to the Jinbu station and also gave a hand with a trip to supermarket. Thank you so much! About our stay - we liked so much nature, snowy mountains, and clean fresh air. Inside a house there are everything you can need - all kitchen stuff for cooking, microwave, fridge and even a multi cooking for rice or anything. Warm bed and warm floors was a great surprise! Thank you so much! If I ever have an opportunity to visit your place in other seasons of the year I would love to come again!

Our hosts were wonderful and the cabin had a lovely feel to it, warm and cozy. The space was well heated and had everything we needed, overall it was a great little spot to stay with the family. As it was snowy, the pond and turn wheels were not operating, but the ambiance and view was lovely. We loved the bidet toilet - we dont have those in Australia! We rented a car, and found the property easily. The snow added to the charm. We would definitely stay again and were really thrilled with our choice to stay here.

The stair ladder to the attic space was a bit cumbersome and not quite the right length, an easy fix to remove the bottom step or two would have made it safer and easier. It impeded the use of the kitchen a bit. The bathroom had some surface mould, but was serviceable.

Owner is very responsive. Picked us and our luggage up from the train station - he was early and waiting for us. He helped to drive us out whenever he could, or else helped us to call a taxi. Again he sent us back to the train station when we were leaving. He also brought us some home-cooked tteokboki. Despite the cold weather, the heating in the room works very well.

Owner doesn't speak English, but he good at using translator apps so that wasn't much problem. The location is not easily accessible without a car, but the owner goes out of his way to help us with our transport needs. So there is nothing to dislike, everything was very very good!

The host upgrade our room to the bigger room without additional charges. And the host provide the winter snow sled for us to play. The location is really suitable for the sledding activities, and my kids enjoys so much. Whenever they feel cold, they can get back to the room immediately and being warm up. After that, they can come out to play again. How I wish i book this place for 2 nights. 1 night is really not enough. A big thumbs up to the Host.

The guest house is located in the middle of nature. One is exposed to a beautiful and tranquil landscape which is so calming. The host couple was super friendly. They were such warm-hearted people, offering us a nice homemade meal too. We did utterly enjoy our short stay in the guest house. A great place to stay both for a family with kids and a solo trip.

This stay is out of the way but in the best kind of rural getaway way. We stayed in the middle of winter (negative 12 Celsius!!) But were incredibly comfortable and warm. The heated floor was amazing and the room was stella. Great vibes, the owner was super helpful and even made us gimbap (i think we were the only people staying that night haha)! Cannot recommend this place enough for a summer or winter stay!

We stayed 3 nights and absolutely loved it. The property is so beautiful with snow and it snowed during our stay.The kids had so much fun sledging, building a snowman, little ducks and snowballs All the equipments were provided. The view from the cabin is amazing and the kids loved their room in the attic. The hosts were very hospitable, picked us from Jinbu station and back and also offered us a trip to the shops when they went out for groceries. The hosts shared a lot of home made food with us like tobokki, potato pancake,kimchi and pickled radish which were delicious. Eventhough the host does not speak English, we communicated well using a translator app. We are so glad to have made this detour after spending 10 nights in Seoul before heading to Busan. It's a highlight of our South Korea trip so far. Thank you Sisilli Pension, we will always remember our time here. Really appreciate the space and quiet after 10 days of cramped rooms in Seoul.

Amazing view. The owner was very kind. He helps us carry our luggage to the room. The bed is quite hard but its ok for us. Room was properly heated. And the kids enjoy playing sleigh provide by the owner

The owner is very friendly welcome us using google translate.. clear snow path..show us how to play sled and offer us hot topokki..and he is a saviour even after we check out..our car got stucked on a drain ditch covered with snow 1km after leaving the pension. He came all the way to help us n called a rescue truck on behalf. Really thankful for the helpful pension owner.

If owner can speak english..haha i can converse with him more.
