A huge laundry room and a clever design where the toilet and bathroom are separate rooms. It’s about a 15/20 walk into town which we enjoyed. Handy to walk off a beautiful meal at the Blue Lake Eatery.

Plenty of toilet paper. Delightful hosts who use the upstairs as a vacation home, and care about their guests' comfort. Easy 15 minute walk into town. Easy-to-access off-street parking.
No basics such as oil, salt & pepper, paper towels, nor tissues. No non-stick pan (not a problem for us because we had one with us.)

Another couch would have been good, only two people could sit and watch telly. The first bedroom opposite the bathroom was nice but needed an underlay, all I could feel was the electric blanket and when I took the sheets off to clean them, there was here all over the electric blanket. Reviewed Jun 13, 2024Very nice warm modern house. Clean and tidy. Heat pump was on when we arrived (thanks!). Very nice bed and large shower (really hot water and good pressure) with a towel heater in a modern bathroom. The kitchen had plenty of facilities to cook. Staff was helpful every time and gave me easy instructions for the check in (through booking app chat) and replied to my messages in less than 5 min even at 1 pm at night. The location was not important for me as we had a car. Nice area though in my opinion even if there was not an astonishing view. I will definitely come back again if I plan to visit Tekapo.
Maybe a stronger heater in the bathroom could help to heat the room quicker.

No face tower with owners supposed to provide. The inside of the kettle looks horrible. We didn't dare to use it. The hangers in the wardrobe were of the type looking no clean. We didn't use it. There was no heater in the bathroom.

Not enough mugs/glasses No ironing board Its looks like you are getting the whole house but its only the bottom part. Not walking distance to town really, no view. No dryer, would be tricky in winter. If 4 people staying, lounge suite not big enough. Was fine for 2 people.

Varying pillow heights would be good so they're not all the same as people do have preferences for pillow height and with the wrong one it can ruin a good nights sleep. I brought my own as I often find the pillow situation very disappointing.

The community was quiet, the kitchen was fully equipped, the bathroom nice and had a wonderful hot shower with high pressure, and the beds were SO comfy and had a much-needed heated pad. We had a car so it was a 4-minute drive to Four Square grocery (where you can walk to the Tekapo waterfront), but we also walked, and it took about 20-25 minutes, so depending on what you'd prefer, it's still reasonably close for those without a car. One thing to note, but not necessarily a bad thing, they do have a washer, but only a drying rack. This didn't bother me, but just wanted to let others know. Overall the stay was very cozy and I would absolutely come back here.
