It’s a beautiful cabin just outside of Tromsø. The cabin carries the family history of its owners and is lovingly and thoughtfully decorated throughout. The living area with the kitchen and fireplace is very spacious, as is the bathroom. The sleeping area is located in the loft and can be reached via a somewhat steep staircase. For safety reasons—especially at night when heading to the bathroom—a handrail on one side of the stairs would certainly be helpful. 🙂 Otherwise, the cabin is beautifully situated. In the morning, we were even able to watch moose right from the window. With good conditions, you can see the Northern Lights directly from the doorstep. A big thank you as well to Sylvi and Asbjørn — two incredibly warm and welcoming hosts who shared many valuable tips with us. We will definitely be back 🇳🇴🙌🏻
Uroczy, zabytkowy domek. Znajduje się w nim wiele rodzinnych pamiątek właścicielki, bardzo klimatycznie, można poczuć się jak w dawnej Norwegii. Właścicielka zaangażowana i pomocna.

Access to the city Center
Lovely little cabin with all mod cons.
Super cozy place with all you need to have a beautiful stay! Good place to be a little bit outside the city!
The house is very beautiful end it is located in a quiet area. The house has something fairytale-like. It is very confortable and welcoming.
Nothing. Everything was ok.
We had the most extraordinary stay here, and genuinely didn’t want to leave. The house itself is magical, and you instantly feel at home. Sylvi met us and explained a little about the history of the farm- if you want a real slice of life and history in Norway, this is the place to stay. There are moose in the garden and we saw the northern lights over the house. You are within a short drive to the Wilderness Centre and the best supermarket in Tromso. A log fire, incredible views, and beautiful grounds make this unmissable. Thank you - we will be back in the summer!
There is no bedroom as such, but an open plan attic area with a lounge space, tv, a cot, and a couple of other single beds. There was no double bed but two single mattresses pushed together up the corner of the room. We very quickly got used to it and it didn’t spoil our stay one bit, it’s just worth others being aware as it’s not clear from the descriptions and photos!
absolutely incredible stay at the Log House. I wish I could stay for longer.
location, character, history and views
Amazing
It was very peaceful and quiet. The style was very cottage-core and the furniture and decorations were beautiful.
The entire top floor is not divided into separate rooms so there is no privacy
Great feel and atmosphere
Booked for 4 persons and got 2 beds 1 kid size bed and 2 mattresses to put on the floor. No wifi Furniture authentic but old
Wifi
Lovely authentic country house with all you need for a wonderful stay. The owners are very kind and available. We really loved the atmosphere, the great communication and the quiet area at 20 min from Tromsø. When we arrived the house was warm and the fireplace made filling us at home.
Everything was just perfect!
The decorations in the room are really nice Owner is VERY friendly and helpful Fully-equiped kitchen facilities with common seasonings The wood-burning chimney fireplace Great place for aurora at night Convenient location driving from the airport
I didn't see the hair dryer, not sure if I neglected or it's not equipped
Amazing property! Beautiful views, very quiet and spacious, everything you need is there, easy to find, like a personal snowy winter wonderland! Fireplace was lit when we arrived along with mysuc, very welcoming. Chalet has lots of family history! The hostess Silvi was lovely and very helpful! I'd strongly recommend staying there!
Everything was perfect, one small thing there is no WiFi, would be a great bonus to have this to keep in touch with home.
Charming and super cozy old house with lots of history in a beautiful setting. Everything you need is there. A warm welcome by the owner who was also very helpful with hiking directions and all other questions. I loved it and hope to return
The beds are very small so I put two single beds together to feel comfortable. Blackout curtains in the sleeping area would be nice.
The location was very peaceful and the house was amazing. Everything was there to keep you well entertained even without WiFi and it was amazing. The house had binoculars and a radio. The bedroom was large and spacious, and the views were spectacular. The owner was so kind and lovely.
Blackout curtains could have been better
Great small traditional cabin
nothing
Comfortable property with plenty of character within 20 or so minutes from the airport. Very spacious downstairs with a cosy log burner. Private off street parking. Very friendly host willing to answer questions promptly.
Access up and down the steep stairs to the bedroom requires care. Some road noise in bedroom but not distracting. No curtains in bedroom but not a big problem as the windows are small.
This property is absolutely stunning! We met the host at the property, she was so welcoming and informative and treated us with the upmost kindness. The house is cozy and the decor is amazing. We loved the fire place and the surrounding area is awesome for exploring. The property was equipped with just about everything you could possibly need. We came to Tromso to see the Nothern Lights and we managed to see them on the last night staying here! The property is about 25 minutes drive from the township so there is very little light pollution - perfect for seeing the Aurora! If you are considering booking this property - do it! It will not let you down.
Everything was fantastic.
Beautifully renovated wooden house in stunning countryside by a lake traditionally furnished. Very cosy with everything you could need. Loved snuggling up by the log fire. Lovely host met us at the property and explained the history. Is a really special place - we can't wait to return! The Northern Lights were spectacular too when we visited.
Absolutely nothing. Bear in mind that this is definitely a place to get away from it all and unwind though - you need a car. There is no WiFi or any shops within walking distance so definitely a place to stock up and kick back :-)
Quiet location just outside of Tromso
