Parking can be linited because we need to share with customers of Selera Kebun. House number 2, there is no real kitchen inside but we can cook outside of the house. Sink for cooking purposes are in front of house 1 and 6

The very steep mainroad is just meters away from where you sleep. This took me by surprise and was very disappointing. It is probably the noisiest place I’ve tried to fall asleep in. It’s relatively quite between 10:00-5:00ish

No drinking water. The bed no comfort maybe too old. The cleaning for cup n plate is at outside. Must close the door otherwise many mosquito will come in. Parking abit difficult. No easy to find the house is a roadside. Must see carefully. Overall is ok。

The hot water for the shower needs improvement. Water flow has to be turned down too low before you get warm water for your bath. Need to install grill and insect netting on the window for security and keep insects out of the chalet.

Reviewed Oct 22, 2025Soboroong is on the ground, feel safe, room is clean, basic necessities like towel, toilet roll, shower gel, water kettle to boil water, drinking water in bottle, water heater ( turn the water medium volume will have hot water, max water level is warm water) , quiet place, easy access to places like Hooga cafe, Desa Dairy Farm, SS Chinese restaurant, Kundasang War Memorial, Kundasang Point View to view Mt Kinabalu. Walk out from the room, on the 3rd day early morning 7am, sky is clear have great Mt Kinabalu view. At night , weather here is cold, better wear long sleeve tops and pants
When close all the windows, room feel a bit stuffy, when turn on fan, then it's okay. although no mosquito, may be should install mosquito net at the window to feel more secure.

If your travelling style is basic and love to cook your own meal, this the best place for you,since this is my style of travelling,but if you prefer to have a fancy and the accommodation serve you breakfast,this accommodation is not for you,but the restaurant of Selera Kebun is next to this accommodation,and they open from 11am-9pm,so still can buy meals here. Anyway, everything is perfect during my stay, this place suppose to be get 11/10 of the rating if possible. 😁
