It was self catering and very comfortable, had everything one would need, close to beach, good area.

Water pressure in shower could be improved.

The Cottage Collection is newly built, clean and modern, with a peaceful atmosphere and pleasant surroundings. We particularly liked the fresh interiors and the quiet setting. Overall, however, our stay was fairly average, and the property is quite far from both the beach and town, which may be inconvenient if you want to explore the area regularly.

The cottage was not adequately stocked with basic amenities for a weekend stay. Although it has both a fireplace and a braai, there was not enough firewood provided. When we requested additional wood, we were told to purchase it from the shop instead. There were also no dishwasher pods despite having a dishwasher, and basics such as dishwashing liquid, coffee, salt and pepper were not provided. These small touches would have made the stay feel much more welcoming and convenient.

The staff sent communication over whatsapp and was there when we arrived to greet us. Very friendly and helpful, letting us know about the security patrol etc. I also asked for the outside table to be cleaned and they were there immediately to sort that out.

Cottage is very pretty, with all the contents to make a comfortable stay.

The cottage was advertised as having a bedroom and a sleeper couch. We are two people, not sleeping together. I requested that the sleeper couch be made up, and was told that this would cost an extra R500 per night. If the use of the couch is extra, then it should be made very clear. This would be the equivalent of saying, there are two bedrooms, but you pay extra if you use the second bedroom! Or like saying, there is a coffee machine, but you pay extra if you use it! False advertising and smacks of pettiness.

Everything was incredibly comfortable, lovely touches and we had everything we needed.

Despite confirming via message, there were no braai (bbq) tongs available (we raised this upon checkout), and although sufficient towels, they were all standard size - at least 1 bath sheet per room would go a long way for the larger / taller guests please.

Das Häuschen war zuckersüß. Tolle Betten, eine vollausgestattete Küche ein grosses Bad mit einer Aussendusche. Das Auto hatte sogar ein eigenes Carport.

Dies war nicht das erste Mal sondern wahrscheinlich das 6. oder 7. Mal, daß wir zu La Baleine Unterkünften sind allerdings das erste Mal in diesem Cottage. Die Betten waren gut und die Auswahl der Kissen super.

Wir hatten wenig Privatsphäre auf der Terrasse und wurden von einem Rudel von Strassenhunden "besucht", wir konnten nicht gemütlich eine Tasse Kaffee draußen trinken. Der eine Schrank im Schlafzimmer war kaputt und die Haustüre von der Feuchtigkeit am Meer verzogen und ließ sich nur schwer abschließen.

We had a great stay at this amazing property. The property is walking distance to the beach, as well as many restaurants. The amenities at the property are excellent, including the braai, pool, kitchen etc. The host was also helpful and frienfly.

High standard of accommodation, stylish and tasteful decor. Walking distance to the beach. The property felt safe and secure. Loved the outdoor pool and day bed. Walking distance to Leeto restaurant which we would highly recommend.

Could have benefitted from air conditioning especially in the bedroom but the staff were able to provide fans. A couple of sunloungers would be good for be outside area.

The quietness, cleanliness, the coziness of the place

The property is well located, quick access to the beach and within walking distance to Voorstrand and the shops. The hosts were easily contactable and very helpful.

All was great, no complaints.

We really liked the cottage, superclean, nice beds and I noticed they use natural cleaning products. There was no chemical smell, the sheets and towels also smelled natural. The little courtyard was lovely and private. Very close to the beach and the Leeto restaurant. Everyone was helpful

The floor in the shower is same level as the rest of the room so the whole floor is flooded when you shower. We had to wait a couple of hours at arrival for the place to be cleaned. But the beach is so close we went there. They were very kind about giving us an extra hour for late check out.

Beautiful modern cottage with fabulous pool and braai area. Right next to the beach. Easy 10 minute walk into the town. Also great to have the fantastic Leeto Restaurant right on the doorstep

The staff were fantastic and Donna the host is a credit to the organization, saying that the security guards and all the staff were wonderful when my husband became extremely unwell overnight

All is not equal at the cottage collection, I booked after looking at reviews and the score of 9. I hope some of the properties deserve those scores, our cottage African Daisy ALA cottage 3 didn’t. It is in need of a total refurbishment. All fixtures and fittings are old and falling apart, broken furniture is in the property and the blinds are filthy

Our favourite place to stay in Paternoster. We return every year. Home away from home.

The Cottage Collection offers cottages of various sizes to meet the requirements of all guests from singles to larger groups. The cottages are well equipped and tastefully decorated. The proximity to the beach is a real plus.

Das Haus ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und erfüllt alle Wünsche. Man merkt die Hand der Besitzer; es ist nicht einfach nur ein Haus, das immer vermietet wird. Es verfügt auch über einen gemütlichen Aussenplatz. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen und durch den Aufenthalt begleitet. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt! Dir Räume sind gross, inkl. Nasszellen. Absolut empfehlenswert! Gerne jederzeit wieder!

Incredible area and property. The Ayana cottage is a firm favourite and I fully understand why. The house has everything you need and offers up enough space for the family to chill upstairs in the loft or to relax on the couch downstairs with a book or by the splash pool with a snack and glass of wine if you choose. The neighbourhood is also an absolute treat. Quiet with a calm air of familiarity. I'll definitely be back.

Beautiful cottage, plenty of in home amenities and lovely staff.

Please provide basic bathroom essentials like shampoo, conditioner and body wash. If I’m there for 1-2 nights I do not want to have to buy huge bottles of these in the mini mart. The next comment is about the village of Paternoster itself as the cottage was beautiful and could not fault it. I’m torn on the village, it offers some beautiful restaurants such as Wolfgat but we found it quite boring. Apart from the beach and eating, there doesn’t seem to be a whole lot to do so I would not plan to stay any longer than 1-2 nights max.

Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt; der Ort, die Ausstattung des Studios, die Lage in der Nähe des Meeres und zum Restaurant Leetho. Ruhige Wohngegend, hübscher Gartensitzplatz und tolle Grillstelle.

Das Cottage war mega alt und auch nicht so wie im Internet dargestellt. Bauplatz ringsum, Sitzplatz total ungemütlich. Wir waren sehr enttäuscht.

Schnitt, Lage, Helligkeit, Entfernung zum Strand

Baustelle nebenan, die erst beim einchecken thematisiert wurde. Das ist falsch und unfair. Durch die Bauarbeiter und den Lärm waren Liegen und Pool nicht nutzbar. Wir würden ein Haus wie dieses wieder buchen, aber nicht unter dieser Verwaltung.

Sehr schönes Haus und gute Ausstattung, bequeme Betten, einfach zum wohlfühlen!

Sehr schöne Unterkunft. Lage super, alles gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Mehrere Lokale für Frühstück und Abendessen vorhanden. Top. Gerne wieder.
