Excellent location, ideal accommodation, clean, responsive host, complimentary scones
What an amazing to stay... Achill is stunning..
Nothing
Location was perfect for our needs. Catherine was kind to give us a warm welcome. House we stayed was no less than a home. All the necessities were met.
location
Great location Warm, thoughtful welcome Lovely host Comfortable, clean
A great location for exploring Achill. House was spotless and the scones/muffins/bread was amazing after a long journey.
.
Property is in such an amazing location, easy to walk to the shops, bar and beach! Catherine is a lovely host, there was some lambs at the property and she had our 4 year old feeding them, even left spare bottles for him to do it himself, he was delighted! Loads of baby supplies which was great and the fresh bread, scones and orange juice was a beautiful touch
Nothing, we will be back and booking here!
Great location in Keel. The house had everything we needed including beach towels in the press. The host left fresh scones with jam and butter in the kitchen. We felt very welcomed here
Beliggenhed, der var friskbagt scones og brød samt mælk og juice i køleskabet.
A very nice house in a great location. The host was exceptional. I would love to stay here again.
Catherine provided everything we needed, including fresh scones and bread on arrival. A really lovely touch. The cottage is in a perfect location. We couldn't fault anything.
Brilliant, friendly & generous hostess
No issues
Tremendous location and our host Catherine couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful! Home made scones and brown bread were waiting for us on arrival together with milk, butter, jam and orange juice. After a long drive it was a wonderful touch!
The location was peaceful Being able to witness a working sheep farm was interesting The island is beautiful
We loved everything about the property
The property was like a home from home, a real Irish cottage, it had everything you could need in it. The location was exceptional with a wonderful selection of pubs, restaurants and shops, you could choose not to drive on a stay if you wanted. The beach and views were exceptional with everything right on your doorstep and the host Catherine could not have been more accommodating and helpful, we will certainly return again.
Lovely cottage great location and made to feel very welcome by the host and were treated to nice bread and scones on arrival

Wonderful place to stay. Extremely cozy and spacious.

Great location and tons of space for an affordable price! Short walk to the beach and the Beehive next door for food! Highly recommended.
Very clean, warm welcome, lovely scones and brown bread on arrival, very much appreciated after a long journey.
No complaints very spacious and comfortable.
Location was ideal, for exploring Achill Island.
Nothing, will return in the future.
Nice Location and Layout
Heat and water were temperamental, but owner provided us with tips!
The place is lovely, and was super clean and well equipped. Our host left scones and bread for breakfast, which was a delight. Perfect for our needs!
Excellent location. Very clean & cosy. Welcome fresh scones & brown bread a lovely treat.
The place felt like home, with all the necessary facilities available. We had a great time.
Nothing.
Fab place, Catherine was very responsive a and friendly. Everything needed was at hand in the house. The decor was bright and cheery. Great pubs & restaurants. Beach only down tbe road. Would most definitely come back.
The mattresses weren't the best but not s deal breaker.
I nearly didn't want to leave a good review as I don't want others to know about this hidden gem, it was a slice of heaven, just so relaxing, perfect location, so clean, comfy, cosy and Catherine is just so lovely
Literally nothing bad to say
The cottage was lovely and warm and had everything we needed for our stay, including utensils, condiments, blankets etc. The location was excellent and we could walk to the beach which was great. The host had made us fresh scones and bread on arrival which were lovely. Overall, it was a fabulous stay.
We found some of the pots were a little dirty and we came across a few items that would suggest the place wasn't thoroughly cleaned, for example, there was a dirty sock down the side of one of the chairs. However it was still quite clean other than these few issues which didn't cause any problems. The website advertises a tennis court but the tennis court is dilapidated.. It wasn't a big problem at all but just a heads up for any other tennis players.
Everything was wonderful.
Location was amazing and owner couldn’t have been nicer! Place had everything we needed
Roomy,3 bedrooms was a great plus. Plenty of room.magnicent view. Close to shops and pubs! I'll recommend to all my friends and family.
Having to leave.
Such a lovely warm Irish welcome, the scones were magnificent and so was the bread and jam. We had a wonderful stay, with glorious walks along the nearby beach. The cottage has everything for a comfortable stay. Coffee nearby was also great.
Nothing, it was ideal for us.
The location couldn't have been better. Multiple pubs, multiple food options and a stunning beach right on the doorstep, who could ask for more!
Great location, communicative host, great value for money.. Appreciated laundry, scones, juice and milk and coffee/ tea. Lovely bedrooms, great shower.
Needs an update on decor in the living room and kitchen. A brighter, seaside theme would more pleasant. Oven took a bit of figuring out, burns on one end, doesn't cook on other.. More bowls woukd be helpful. Just some ideas, no big issues.
Very good and clean
Catherine was so kindly appreciate
Location was great. Breakfast wasn't included but our host left some lovely bread and condiments.
Location was right in the middle of Keel, shops, restaurants, pubs and beach within 150 yards. Just as described, host was friendly and plenty of room.
Location was great. Door was open for us with lights on, a great welcome. Catherine had a welcome platter of scones and brown bread, butter and jam, all we had to do was put the kettle on and relax.
Nothing, it was all really great.
Very comfy and warm cottage. Great location. Super clean. Great shower and lovely host. Fresh scones and bread on arrival that were really good. Will definitely be back again
Nothing
There was a small shop around the corner where we purchased all we needed in the way of food, so started off each day on a healthy breakfast cooked in the immaculately clean kitchen of the cottage.
There was nothing at all that we did not like.
Beautiful little cottage in achill with the back drop of the Minaun Heights and the Atlantic Ocean in front of you with 2 pubs, restaurant and coffee shop 1 minute walk away literally. The beach is only a 5 minute walk or less too. The place was immaculately clean , the beds were very comfy, nice and warm and heats up quickly. Our host Catherine was very accommodating and even had fresh baked scones and bread for us on arrival , highly recommend 😀
It was clean and cosy.
Understanding the hot water system was a bit challenging.
Lots of things: Location (near the local store, the beach, and Slievemore Deserted Village); The cottage was clean and light, and was thoughtfully set up with kitchenware, extra towels, and games. The living room furniture was comfy. The host was friendly and responsive. They met us at the bus stop and took us to the cottage.
The bed I slept in was a little soft.

Bathroom locking door
Lovely cosy like the name cottage with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay.
Absolutely spotless and very helpful host
It was a warm and clean house, with a well equipped kitchen (although no dishwasher), and a washing machine. The beds were very comfortable and there were lovely big white towels. The outside area was secure for our dog and there was an airer to hang the washing. Whilst the house interior wasn’t modern it was all very comfortable and a relaxing place to stay. The house is in the centre of Keel only a few minutes walk from the beach, supermarket, cafe, pubs and takeaway. Also lovely arrive to find scones, jam, bread and wine.
The bedrooms were fairly small so limited facilities for hanging and putting clothes away, but not a real problem.
host Catherine was so nice and accomidating lovely scones and bread was welcoming after 4 hour drive. would highly recommend so comfortable.
Location of the cottage is excellent near to the center of the village and just around the corner from a well provisioned grocery shop (and coffee dispenser). Its also a stones throw from the lovely Keel Beach so easy to walk to from the house for an early morning or late evening stroll. The house itself was well provisioned with a nice kitchen and three double bed rooms. The owner was very nice and made sure everything was perfect.
The visit was everything we expected no complaints at all. The weather was even good for our three day stay.
Loved the cleanliness, coziness, location and host. She left scones, towels, everything down to coffee, tea, milk. She was so easy to deal with and everything was on our doorstep
I thought it was a standalone cottage so when we arrived I was surprised that it was like an adjoining building. Totally not what I expected to get. There’s no outside pictures so I had been mistaken. We had no neighbours but perhaps in busier times, there may be.
House was in a super location , facilities were excellent, clean, warm and very cosy. Equipped with everything one would need . Host was very attentive to detail and lovely to deal with , very warm and considerate.
Could not fault anything
Loved everything about the cottage, it was equipped with everything we needed, beds very comfortable, lovely views of the sea and mountains. The location is perfect, a short stroll to Keel beach, the best pub across the road, close to shops and cafe a few doors down. Very thoughtful of Catherine to have scones and bread on arrival. Truly a home away from home!
Nothing
Lovely little house perfect for family of 6. Great welcome with homemade scones and cakes. Brilliant location, 2min walk to keel beach and amenities.
Fantastic location, right in the centre of Keel village.
Nothing to dislike, this place has all you need.
The location of this property is fantastic. It is a stone's throw away from Keel beach. It is right beside the Amethyst pub and the Beehive cafe. Keem bay is a short drive away. I couldn't recommend this higher.
Nothing. Everything was amazing. Catherine very kindly made us scones and jam for our arrival which was very sweet.
Location was perfect, the views were great from our windows we also enjoyed the views of the lambs out our back windows. The home was spotless, I had no complaints. The beds were comfy, the welcome pack on arrival was great. The host was also very friendly.

Ideal location. Spotlessly clean
Nothing!
Great central location within walking distance of everything. Lovely cottage with all facilities. Beds very comfortable and everywhere spotless. Thanks for goodies on arrival Catherine a lovely surprise.
Nothing really
Very easy get in and very clear instructions. Beautiful cottage with everything that you would need. Everwhere was spotless. Fantastic location with brilliant parking.
Bit short on wardrobe space but that wasn't a problem for just a weekend.
Great location
Nothing
It's a lovely and indeed cozy cottage. It's nice and warm and in a perfect location, only few minutes from the beach or shops or restaurants. The host Cathrine is lovely and having scones and brown bread and jam waiting for us was a lovely touch. Also there was tea and coffee, milk and orange juice provided. So everything needed to settle in comfortably.
Nothing bad stood out, only little things that just come with a little older cottage is the warm water tap sometimes takes a little to get going and the boiler making noise. But that doesn't take away from the allover great stay in the cozy cottage.
Amazing from start to finish Location 10 out of ten Views stunning House was so peaceful we could have stayed a week..had everything anyone could need Thanks again catherine
Lovely warm house in a great location. Catherine was quick to get back to any messages and also had some delicious homemade scones for our arrival with a few other essential groceries! Would highly recommend and hope to be back again this year 😊
The location was beautiful. The cottage was clean well equipped with everything you needed and we had a sea view and mountain view. It was our first time in keel and it most certainly won't be our last. Contact with the host Catherine was very good x and the scones on arrival were beautiful x
The only thing we didn't like is that we didn't stay long enough. X
The cottage was clean and warm. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals for ourselves and the scones on arrival were a lovely touch.
The only thing I can think of is the shower head didn't sit in the holder so you have to hold it in one hand while showering. Not such a big deal but did make washing my hair a bit of a challenge.
Catherine the host left us fresh scones as a welcome breakfast, the house was v close to all amenities.
We loved the cottage. Catherine was a great host who met us on arrival and thoughtfully provided us with some welcoming scones and provisions. The cottage was very cosy with comfortable beds, a good shower and decent facilites. We loved the location in Keel, a short walk to the beach, supermarket and the local pub (The Shark). We used the cottage as a base to see Achill Island with personal highlights being Keem beach and the 360 degree views from the top of the mountain (the one with the transmitters on it). Also, did the Achill Greenway Parkrun (9:30 on Saturday morning). Would love to return!
Nothing. It was perfect.
Fantastic setting looking out the front window to see the majestic Minaun Cliffs and the sea, smell the turf in the air from a very warm cosy setting. The cottage has everything you could possibly need and more! The cottage is exceptionally clean with very comfortable beds, loads of cooking utensils available . Catherine is an excellent host laying out scones and goodies to greet our arrival. We had a great much break, in a really comfortable setting.
Can't fault a thing really.
The cottage is home away from home. I got the cosy feeling as soon as I stepped inside the door. The kitchen is fully equipped with anything you could need. Every room clean, tidy and smelling fabulous. Keel beach is just over the road and is stunning. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay, such a peaceful place with beautiful scenery and views.
There was nothing to fault!
Beautiful warm spotless cosy cottage, very warm & lovely beds. Fully equipped with everything you'd need & gorgeous welcome pack left for us. Right beside the beach & a small supermarket & a fantastic little pub The Shark Bait. A great little find, we will be back.
Such a tiny minor thing but replacing current sofa with a comfortable sofa would take the place from a 9 to a 10.
