Tadgh's Cottage

The accommodation was very comfortable. The bed I slept in was truly the most comfortable I've had in any comparable place. The kitchen is well appointed, with everything needed during a short stay. It is a warm, comfortable, homely, and truly relaxing place to stay.

Beautiful cottage in a beautiful setting. The cottage is very secluded in a very quiet area. A car is a necessity. Beautiful stay, fantastic for star gazing at night especially if your used to the City!! Beds definitely could do with being upgraded as could the sofa. It could be a bit cleaner unfortunately. The sash windows are beautiful but the living room one doesnt lock which wasnt ideal when staying with children. Great base for exploring Clare.

Privacy, and away from the town. Far out in the countryside, its so peaceful and beautiful. The house itself is amazing, and we looked it.

Het huisje was niet schoon bij aankomst en de vaatwasser was defect en stonk enorm. Dit direct gemeld bij de host en die regelde dat de volgende dag een schoonmaker zou komen. Er zou een vaatwasser besteld zijn, maar het was prettig gewest om dit vooraf te weten. Er was zichtbaar schoongemaakt, maar het huisje liet desondanks nog veel te wensen over: in de vriezer lagen etenswaren van eerder bewoners, ook in de kastjes veel etenswaren gevonden, de douchecabine heeft veel vieze, schimmelige kitranden, er zit schimmel in de wasmachine, de bakplaat in de oven was vet en vies, de koekenpannen kapot en versleten en het meubilair heeft zichtbare vochtplekken en ziet er daardoor vies uit.

Place was clean, cosy and comfortable with plenty of amenities for our stay. So peaceful. A great base to explore Clare

Všeč nam je bila sama lokacija sredi narave blizu klifov, mesta Ennis in letališča Shannon. Hiška je prostorna. Hiška je lepo in sodobno opremljena. Ima vse kar potrebuješ.

Čistoča, predvsem so nas motili pajki in njihove mreže v notranjosti hiške (bilo jih je veliko in čisto povsod). Tudi na zunanji strani hiše polno pajčevin in pajkov.

The location was breathtakingly beautiful. It was so private and quiet with amazing scenery and lovely areas to take long walks or just enjoy the view. The cottage was well equipped, modern and very clean. There is a washer/dryer which was a huge help!

The beds were not comfortable. The larger beds were far too soft/saggy and the small twin bed was rock hard. My daughter that was meant to sleep there ended up sleeping on the couch because it was so uncomfortable. Other than that, the cottage was great!

The cottage is nestled in the middle of farmlands where it's quiet, clean and safe. Outside wind blows in the pine trees and birds fill the air with song. Inside the house is filled with new appliances from Washer/dryer to TV, dishwasher and strong WiFi. There's plenty of hot water and a strong shower. Highly recommend if you want to get away from the urban/tourist rush and relax in the Irish countryside. It's about equidistance to the coast or to Ennis for beach or big town fun. And, just in case you need anything else, the owner is nearby and glad to help. Enjoy !

The kitchen is well equipped, the cottage has a nice size and it’s very nicely located. We stayed there for two nights while doing some hikes.

Cleanliness and the shower does not drain fast enough.

The mattresses need to be replaces. One matress had a dip in it. This was very uncomfortable. There was no teapot of coffee carafe. There was one wine glass. I have never stayed in a place without apply supply of glasses etc. The shower needs an upgrade - it leaked all over the floor.

This is a beautiful cottage for a couple to have a break. Spotless clean and lovely and warm. Has everything u need to self cater.

Comfortable, clean, extras eg washing machine, dishwasher. Heating on prior to arrival. Extra dry goods in cupboard if stuck eg condiments. Plenty of towels, extra pillows. Couldn’t fault it as a holiday home for families, host has paid attention to details and we weren’t tied to an arrival time as the key available in a lock box. Internet great. Will definitely be back.

Great location and view, nice atmosphere. Cosy little place to stay for a few nights. It was quiet, I only heard the wind, the rain, the cows, and the birds.

The baking trays and frying pans need replacement.

Restored and comfortable cottage in rural location with modern facilities. It suited perfectly for what we wanted. We used it as a base to explore the area- Cliffs of Moher, the Burren, Alliwee caves.

You need a car to get around from here but we expected that.

Nice and quiet, perfect geto get away from the city. Absolutely beautiful inside and spotless! Felt so homely as soon as we walked in the door and was able to collect keys with no issues. Would most definitely recommend and id definitely come back.

Shower not very clean, overall superficial cleanliness only, thin hard towels, no basic food package despite distance to shops. Milk and bread would have been very welcome for example. Left over food was available in cupboard from previous guests

Reibungslose Übernahme. Moderne Einrichtung.und hervorragende Ausstattung. Etwas abseits gelegen, dafür ruhiges und entspanntes Umfeld. Trotzdem zentrale Lage für Autofahrende (Ennis, Doolin, Lahinch ..ca. 30 min. Fahrzeit). Gerne wieder.

The house had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. There were all kitchen utensils, a dishwasher, washing machine, and even a dryer. We had plenty of space; the rooms were big and clean, the bed and blanket were so comfortable, we really had a great sleep there. Communication with the owner was great, and we always got quick responses. It’s a peaceful countryside area, very beautiful and quiet, but a car is definitely needed since the nearest store is quite far.

It would be great to have a short printed guide with details like how to use the heater, sort the trash, or find the Wi-Fi password just to make things even easier.

Very clean and well equipped little cottage in a very quiet area. It has everything you need for a couple days/week holiday. Kitchen has everything what you need also some basics like tea, coffee, cereals, etc. We haven't met the host so can't comment on them, but communication about booking, key location was quick and friendly. About 40 mins drive to Cliffs of Moher ot the Aran Island ferry and if you stay here Lahinch is a must see 20 mins away with loads of restaurants / take aways / playground and a beautiful sandy beach which is perfect for small kids as well

I had no problems at all, but for some people getting to the house could be challenging as the roads of the Irish countryside are very narrow and windy but you can see the location before booking it so it's not a surprise or complaint at all

Quiet countryside location

Very disappointed with this accommodation. Not very clean, toilet seat falling off, dishwasher hadn't been emptied and unpleasant odour in the house. Not sure what the odour was from but it stayed throughout our stay. No welcome pack with information on the place, appliances etc. Needs a spring clean and towels etc replaced Not good value for money, too expensive especially in comparison to other places we stayed in Ireland

Tadhg's cottage was very spacious and was the perfect getaway spot for a small family

Perfect for our needs. Wanted two bedrooms not too far from Corofin. Setting is beautiful, rural Ireland. Good place to get coffee, lunch in The good House in Inagh - 8 minutes away Lovely owner /family. Clean and tidy; comfy beds and good shower. Warm and cosy with plenty room. Loved it as did my elderly mother.

The house was great, very nice surrounding area and a great base to visit the main attractions in Co. Clare. Alan was very flexible in terms of check in and also departure which is appreciated, particularly when travelling with kids. Wouldn't hesitate staying again.

challenging roads for us

Alan was a wonderful host. We stayed for several days to do laundry (there is a washer and dryer with washer pods) and to catch up on some work (when you run your own business...). You do need a car for this area. It was quiet and the cottage was perfect for our needs. Cows in the field next door were the first thing I would see as I looked out the window in the morning. There is an electric fireplace in the living room, which was nice in the evening for ambiance.

Considering it's one of the highest priced place we've stayed in 3 weeks Beds are worst in Ireland, so old and with broken down edges you just about roll out of bed. Dust balls everywhere - walk around in your socks and your feet start looking like a Yowies. Bathroom tiling resemble a public bathroom. Add new beds, a proper clean and coat of paint and it would be great place. Very disappointing.

Perfect location for visiting County Clare, right in centre of West Clare. The house exceeded our expectations when it came to cleanliness and warmth! It is rare to get a properly heated house in Ireland. Very modern with modern appliances and even decent water pressure in shower. The owner was quick to respond to any queries we had.

The 5th bed was not a bed but a sunbed. May be ok for a child bur not for an adult.

Tadghs Cottage was the perfect place for us to stay as a family. The cottage was spotless clean, had all mod cons (wifi etc) & we loved how spacious & cosey it is. It is driving distance to all the local tourist spots (Cliffs of Moher, Father Teds House & The Burren to name a few. The location is so peaceful & we felt very safe too which is always good when you are away with small kids. Alan the owner was so lovely to deal with & always on hand if we needed anything. We would definitely stay here again.
