Black Stilt Retreat, STUNNING luxury property

Fabulous property with all you needed for a comfortable stay. After a wet and windy walk to Mount Cook this was a lovely warm and comfortable property to return to. The washing machine with dryer and clothes airer was particularly handy and the location was great very peaceful.

We were absolutely delighted with our stay in this wonderful home. It is comfortable, warm, modern and has everything you could possibly need. After walking in the cool, rainy weather, it was especially lovely to come back to such a warm and cosy place. Thank you so much for creating such a welcoming and comfortable home — we truly enjoyed our stay!

Awesome property. Layout, beds, amenities all superb. Even better than the photographs on booking.com advertised.

位置好，房间很新，布局合理适于两个家庭出行

隔音可以更好些

非常满意 设施齐全精良 且房主热情 及时帮我们解决了咖啡机问题 强烈推荐!

We found everything to be exceptional. Firstly, the house and garden were presented impeccably. The kitchen provided all you could possibly want, the towels and bed linen were immaculately clean, the furnishings were comfortable, the toiletries, such as showering needs, were beautifully provided, and the house was tastefully decorated. We thank the host of Black Stilt for the generosity shown.

We loved it all.

This is an absolutely beautiful house. We were expecting something nice based on the photos but it really is fantastic. Beautifully decorated and a well stocked kitchen. The rooms are fantastic with a great bath in the main bedroom ensuite. It's only a few min from the supermarket, cafes etc. by car.

Perfect!!!!

The property was as described - it had beautiful decor, warm, cosy and quiet. Mountain glimpses from bedroom and living area. Fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and washing machine plus dryer. Convenient for exploring stunning Mt Cook, Lake Pukaki and Lake Tekapo & surrounds...great Salmon restaurant close by too and the town has essentials if you need to pick something up. Our host Amy was quick to respond, helpful and friendly. Thank you.

Minor issue was that the coffee machine wasn't working for us but we went to local cafes.

I LOVE this house. This house has everything you can think of, its a very thoughtful house located in a beautiful neighbourhood with killer views. I appreciate the coat hanging area right after entrance, also the washing machine and hand washing area. Beds are comfy and lovely kitchen with all the supplies you need. Host is amazing. Would stay here again and again

Nothing at all

Best property we stayed in in NZ. Beautiful home and very tastefully furnished. Amenities excellent, bed comfortable.

It was perfect!

The fixtures and fittings are definitely luxury. The furnishing is modern and sleek, the kitchen has great equipment and I like that the pans are stainless steel.

Some basic items were missing: tissue box on the dining table, shampoo and lotion in the bathroom. Considering that it rains at times, some umbrellas would be good too.

Nothing to complain about. Very well appointed and comfortable.

Nothing.

Quality of the fittings and appliances. Beds were extremely comfortable. Heating was great.

Great!!

During my visit, I was really impressed with how nice and comfortable everything was. The kitchen was especially great, with all the tools and modern stuff making it easy to cook. The whole house was super clean and well looked after, showing they really care. Each room felt cozy and welcoming, perfect for relaxing. Overall, it was a delightful stay that was even better than I expected, with everything I needed to feel comfortable and happy.

This is the 2nd time staying at this property. Great location and exactly as per the description.

Great location and communication from host. Clean and tidy property.

Beautiful accommodation with everything we needed, including jigsaw puzzles.

The neighbour's were quite noisy one evening, but they may have just been a one off....

We were happy with our stay. The house was beautifully appointed with everything we needed for a restful stay. Great location too.

The property was beautiful - we didn’t want to leave it. Host was really helpful too.

There was nothing that we didn’t like.

The owner was very friendly and went to great lengths to ensure that we were satisfied with the property, even shouting us an evening meal at a local restaurant to compensate for the planned power outage! A very thoughtful touch.

House being built next door--noisy first thing in the morning, but obviously this will not be a problem when the house is completed.

Beds are hard and could use a topper

Stunning decor and exceptional high comfort level .. wonderful

A great house in a fantastic location. Everything we needed was on hand.

We love the whole house and how complete all things are in the house when we came in.

Only there was no blinds for the door as it would be good to have privacy as the door can be seen from outside the inside

Everything is amazing!

Everything beautiful

It had a wow factor that was exciting for our family, great decor, appliances, and a coffee machine!!

Barn style doors means little soundproofing between living and bedrooms.

Well set up luxury house was perfect for 4 adults and 2 kids.

No issues.

The design of the house is stunning! Clean and tidy. We just spent our night in the house because you won’t want to leave this beautiful house!

The kitchen was an absolute dream to cook in! The whole place felt so relaxing and cosy and the bath tub was amazing!

Wish I could have stayed longer

Absolutely amazing place. Comfortable, well laid out with everything you need. Will definitely be back.

Didn’t book long enough!!

The property was super clean, warm and had everything we needed.

Nothing! It was perfect!

Super warm and cosy, with amazing bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen with state of the art appliances. Living/dining room was very comfortable and easily accommodated 5 adults and a small child. Plenty of outdoor spaces to relax, even although at -2 degrees we didn't sit outside!

Nothing! It was absolutely brilliant.

It was warm, exceptionally clean, well stocked, great kitchen, fire, huge bath, and great location.

Master bedroom bed was a little bit uncomfortable

It was fantastic.

A 5 star experience. If do have another chance, will definitely stay longer

everything and everything!!

concrete floor hard/cold on feet even with socks

We were very fortunate to stay here.

everything was awesome.

There was no shampoo and conditioner.

Absolutely beautiful property, every detail has been thought of.

The only thing I would suggest is putting mattress toppers on the beds, they are extremely hard to sleep on.

Very modern and well decorated house with all mod cons

Larger double bed, instead of Queen a king would of been better. Just more used to a king.

The property has been built and styled to perfection! Great fittings, appliances and furnishings.

The beds seemed small and so were the bedrooms, thus felt a bit cramped.

everything!

Clean, excellent facilities, lovely location

The property was stunning and every detail had been thought of.

Fantastic location, great house, warm and well appointed. The hosts were great, happy to help and easy to deal with via the app.

Maybe some sound proofing of the rooms.

Beautiful house and very easy to relax in.

Incredibly well stocked and gorgeous home.

Gorgeous modern accomodation with all the amenities. Truly luxurious.

The master bedroom bed was a bit hard but that's just personal preference. My spouse was fine with it.

Beautiful home and fabulous/easy communication from the host. This gorgeous accommodation has everything you need! The power went out in Twizel for a wee while, and the lovely neighbour came over to check on us and gave us some candles. So sweet!
