We loved the open aspect layout as well as the facilities for cooking and laundry; the bedrooms were very cosy with really comfortable beds and the whole place was warm and very clean. We also loved checking in at 2pm so we were able to enjoy it and make the most of being there!

Great spot to stay. Clean, warm and close to all the things. Host was great.

The mattresses were really hard & didn't sleep well & woke up with a sore back. There wasn't any milk in the fridge, a heads up to let you know to grab milk on your way in so you don't have to drive back to the shop for some.

Die Wohnung war großartig und hatte alles, was das Herz begehrt uns was wir brauchten. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Als Willkommensgruß waren Schokolade und Wasser bereit gestellt :-) Sogar eine Waschmaschine konnten wir nutzen. Guter Ausgangspunkt für umliegende Ausflugsziele. Vielen Dank!!

Absolutely super place to stay, making you feel at home as soon as you open the door. The cottage is in a great location to Mt Cook and the lakes . Great place to plan your next hike or adventure.

Stayed for 3 nights and wished we stayed longer.

We stayed Cottage 2 and really enjoyed it. The cottage was very modern and clean, and had everything we needed to prepare simple meals. The location is good too … within easy walking distance of groceries and restaurants!

The cottage was awesome! It was tastefully decorated and had every amenity we needed. Although the place was built in 2018, it felt brand new. The location was fabulous for exploring Mt. Cook. Twizel is a cute little town that offered great breakfast and dinner options. Communication from the owners was fabulous. We appreciated the washing machine and access to the dryer. We would definitely recommend staying here!!

I'm rating the cottage a 10, so this is a minor comment. The sink in the bathroom is the smallest I've ever encountered but a good use of space. Thankfully there was a counter, sink and mirror outside the bathroom that was extremely useful.

Exceeded my expectations! Everything was perfect — the accommodation was clean and comfortable, with all the necessary facilities. The staff were extremely friendly, and it’s conveniently located close to the grocery store and restaurants. Highly recommended!

Really clean and new house. The size is small but cozy. Location is a bit off center of town but still an easy drive to supermarket and restaurants etc. can see the lovely stars at night.

The shower didn’t drain well as it would overflow out of the toilet.

Loved the convenient carpark porch and the spacious, comfortable room and living area. The toilet basin was very tiny, so we ended up using the laundry basin instead — thank you for the complimentary laundry facilities. It would be great to have a dustbin in the toilet for added convenience.

really great place! We arrived late but check-in procedure has all been arranged by the host. Very clean, and love the kitchen. 2min drive to nearby supermarket and super convenient.

We enjoy the BBQ and can wash our clothes after a long stay in NZ. Thank you

Amazing facilities with everything you need. Absolutely beautiful with comfy living area and bedrooms. Great communication by Coralie and Tim. Highly reccomend if wanted to travel the Mount Cook and Lake Tekapo areas!

The house is clean and good location. Facilities is good and the equipment is well facilities.

The room is little but the kitchen and the sitting area is quite good.

I highly recommend Twizel Cottages! My stay was so comfortable. The place was spotless. I would stay here again.

Wonderful stay! Very clean and comfortable!

It’s very spacious, too much for just a couple but we are not complaining. There is a washing machine and a laundry room with a dryer next door. Cool to have „your own“ house - coming with a carport and a small yard. Twizel is a very quiet township (with almost no light smog - if you like to stargaze).

Be aware Twizel is a bit off. So we preferred cooking ourselves over the selection of restaurants.

Great modern cottage. Everything that you need is provided. Everything was clean and tidy.

Host are very considerate, he provides clip wrapper and aluminum foil, it help as we need to prepare sandwiches for next day Mt cook hike. We enjoyed stargazing in the yard and we were lucky to see the Southern lights outside the house. Host has prepared a Notebook to share the story of the house and for guests to leave comment. This is unique and thoughtful.

would be good to have a dustbin in the toilet.

It is a cute little cottage with 2 bedrooms. It is close to shopping and restaurants. We had a great stay while visiting Mt Cook national park.

The room is spacious and comfortable, well equipped with everything we needed for the stay. The kitchen is also very clean, including all the pots and tableware. Toilet might be on the smaller side, but no issues with that. Love the cleanliness and quiet neighbourhood!

Very modern and clean. Well equipped kitchen and washing machine. The owners were very accommodating in letting us check in early due to the snow storm, which was very appreciated. Also really liked the little cubby hole wardrobes in each of the bedrooms, great idea

The accomodation looks even better in real life! The whole place is comfortable and clean, plenty of kitchenware to cook, bed was big and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Nothing! It was beyond expectation

How great to have such a clean, cosy, and well appointed apartment. Easy to get to, standalone, and the only rental on this property. Warmly welcomed by hosts in communication and also the way the apartment is set up. Everything you need, down to ice already made in the freezer. Lovely selection of French press coffee and tea, and the chocolates were a lovely touch. Extra heater provided for those cooler evenings, but the beds were super warm and the bathroom with heated tiles. So happy to have had time here, and I had some rainy weather and was very happy to have an inside day. Excellent, fast WiFi, and a great kitchen/bench. My choice to stay in Twizel compared to Tekapo was the right one, very close to drive into Mt Cook National Park, and a short trip from the beautiful Lake Pukaki.

A great little cottage surrounded by beautiful snowy mountains and sunsets. The owners have put alot of love into this place to make it warm and inviting. Extra little touches like milk, cold drinking water and chocolates were a nice addition 😀. Laundry facilities (washer and dryer) were a big help to us after a day of exploring Mt Cook National Park. Well equipped kitchen.

Would be great if the microwave was more visible as I only realised there was one on the last day 😅 I was still able to heat food in the oven, so not a big issue.

The wifi wasn’t great unfortunately, we couldn't use it on our Phones it kept cutting out and then we couldn’t finish the movie on Netflix because the wifi cut out completely

Responsive hosts - they were very quick to answer our questions. Located in a quiet town near supermarkets. Comfortable and clean apartment with all that we needed.

Overall this is great value for money, considering the prices charged in the surrounding area and further out at Tekapo. The house was comfortable and had all the mod-cons you would need for a trip in rural NZ. This includes a hot shower, a washing machine and a fully equipped kitchen. It was also very clean and warm with a heat pump available in the living room area. Also really appreciative of the owner who warmly greeted us on arrival and told us that due to public works, water would not be available for late next morning. This gave us plenty of options to work around it - thanks!

The ventilation fan in the bathroom may need replacement, it sounds really rough when running. One of the beds was a bit too soft for my friend's liking.

It's a very clean house, and the owner is really friendly.

Our only complaint with this property were the beds. They were very soft and worn. We were a group of two couples travelling. All 4 of us had bad sleeps on the two beds and complained of sore backs. Good beds are so important. The rest of the cottage was locked lovely.

Lovely home away from home! Also loved having ability to do laundry.

A better selection of sharp knives and food wrap options would be helpful

Immaculate. Quality of everything was 10/10. It had everything you needed including covered parking area close to entrance. Wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the BBQ outdoor area. Quiet location. Can’t praise the place enough! Great spot to stay after seeing Mt Cook.

Great location and very quiet neighbourhood. The cottage had all the amenities except for a microwave. Great value for money.

The bed was too soft and therefore uncomfortable to sleep on. Lack of a microwave was a bit restricting but the oven worked well.

There could possibly be some shade in the outdoor area, as we had a couple of warm days and were unable to sit outside.

A fabulous cottage, clean, comfortable, with everything one could want provided. The patio was a lovely private place to chill. Twizel itself is small but with good facilities and an excellent supermarket. An easy walk from the cottage to the shops and restaurants. Easy driving distance to the lakes and Mt Cook. Loved our time here.

There was nothing to dislike

Wonderful place, very clean and pleasant place to stay. The wash machine on the property was a super bonus as I am riding my bicycle and generating dirty clothes every day. Great place to hang laundry on the patio. Full sized refrigerator/freezer that was helpful for storing food for meals. Covered car port.

I had a little trouble with the directions to the property that were sent to me. Normally I look up the address of my accommodation on Google Maps and write out my own directions, but I went with the directions given to me. I will use this as a reminder to do my own research and make my own directions EVERY time.
