Beautiful location
Ideal location for where we wanted to be. House well stocked Hosts are very accessible
It was peaceful and comfortable
I didn't like the fact that there was no welcome package like milk bread especially when there was no local shops
House was really clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed. It's in a beautiful location near the sea and there's a lovely pub with very friendly locals a five minute walk away.
Nothing, we'd definitely stay there again.
This getaway was a little piece of heaven. You are off the grid and in nature. Don't worry you can still pick up 4G, if you really need it. I think its as far west as I have been. You can see for miles. The fire was lit and the house was lovely. There is severval perfect beaches near by. We were able to bring our dog and I was able to bring her to the pier for a dip before venturing out each day. The garden is secure so she was able to run around outside. We went to the local Denny's Ferry pub (5 minute walk), the locals were so welcoming wanting us to stay on and share our craic. We were also very lucky and got some fantastic weather. Also if you turn right outside the house and follow the road to the end you are at the waters edge (2/3 minute walk) This is a really lovely part of Ireland. Magicial in fact.
I can't fault this place. Deborah needs to put up some new pictures as the ones online do not do it any justice. The pin drop for the house is not really accurate and the picture shows it as a cream/pink house but it is actually a light green. (Turn right at the crossroad - post box in front off you and its the 3/4th house down on the right - if you hit the pub turn back up to the crossroads turn left and 3/4th house on the right).
A lovely cottage well equipped with everything you might need and a cozy stove. There was a good garden space which was great for the kids. Beaches within a short spin and the spectacular scenery of North Mayo b
The cottage was in a beautiful spot, scenery was amazing. We arrived to a lovely fire lit. There is a nice walk to the pier and you pass the local pub on the way. Portacloy beach is about 10 mins away by car. Cottage was spotless and had everything we needed. Lovely secure garden for the dog. Deborah has the place lovely and welcoming.
Beautiful place everything you need lovely comfortable bed lovely turf fire when we arrived if you are looking a relaxing Time this is the place looking forward to are next visit thank you
Peace and quiet. Sound off sea 🌊 when you woke up in morning. It was most amazing.
Nothing. Everything was beautiful and clean .
The turf fire
Not really a view of the atlantic from the house
It was a cute cottage in an idyllic location. It was great we could bring the dog and the place was clean, well-equipped and there was plenty of towels etc.
I could live without the wifi, but the tv options were really poor, especially when the evenings were long!
Everything was so clean and comfortable. Beautiful quiet location, will definitely be back.

Very clean good location for us for work
Nothing
The peace and quiet, views from the front door, the space in the garden for our little dog was outstanding, it was a beautiful place to stay ❤️
Only thing was the markings on the cooker were worn off,but it wasn't hard work out,
Lovely location,lovely hosts. Highly recommend
Heerlijke locatie. Dicht bij de kust en pub op loopafstand

Accommodation was spotless. Lovely and cosy, charming cottage with modern facilities in beautiful surroundings. Deborah the host had left wine, cereal and coffee pods which was a lovely touch. She also had the beautiful solid fuel turf stove lit for us which was lovely.
There was nothing to dislike however people coming here need to be prepared for how isolated it is and make sure they bring food and supplies with them.
It was in a place of great peace.
Nothing.
Exactly what you want from a place like this. Extremely helpful and friendly owners. Beautiful location - calm, quiet, beautiful scenery away from tourists and close to a fanatical little pub. Fully equipped cottage with everything you could need. Spotlessly clean and has a large enclosed garden.
Lovely stay a very restful holiday
Beautiful cottage in rural mayo, lovely stove with free turf supplied, wine on table, bread and loads of other things from owner, beds so comfy and the peace and quiet so nice, we also found the water here is just worth bottling it's beautiful, and best of all a nice wee pub just 5 mins walk, so friendly local people, the beaches and mountains are just so scenic, close to belmullet with lovely food pubs and shops, it is areal break from big city, I would like to thank the owner and caretaker!!
Nothing!
Great location. Close to hiking routs, sea and cliffs.
We thought the property was very nice and was fresh and clean. The owner put a fire on for our arrival. There was coffee, shower gel, and clean linen on every bed including towels. The property was well maintained and provided outdoor seating and an enclosed garden/driveway so our two dogs could roam the grounds as they liked. Both my wife and I have balance issues and so suggest a grab bar or two in the shower as well as a shower seat or chair that can be used when needed.
Anything can always be better but we really cannot think of a specific thing we did not like. The setting is quite remote but if you want to get away and chill then this is the right place. We chose not to bring much food as we planned to find restaurants and these were available in Belmullet. If you want a quick meal out, you are out of luck out of season and probably all year long on Mondays and Tuesdays. We knew Belmullet was half an hour away and so we had snacks and light food for breakfast. The kitchen is a sociable setting, in the diner/lounge and is well stocked with everything needed to prepare a feast so if you are self-catering you will be very happy as long as you do your shopping in Balina or Belmullet on your way in. We were so happy we wanted to stay an extra day but we were disappointed as someone had beat us to the punch.
If you need time away from the day to day grind this is the place for you, it’s remote, quiet and quaint, just what we wanted. A few minutes drive to the stunning Portacloy Beach.
The sea can be seen from the property but you don’t have one from inside the house, this is not a negative as the area certainly makes up for this.
The accommodation is in a quiet location. It is a whole house which is well equipped for a longer stay. The wood burning stove is great and heats the whole house. It is a good base for exploring the surrounding coastline with its cliffs
Beautiful location, nice comfortable house. Locals were very friendly. Dinny’s Ferrybar was close by, with very friendly staff as were all locals who were in the bar.
Armchairs and couch were quite cramped and small. TV service was quite poor- channels kept blurring.
The area and house were lovely. Peaceful right by the sea . Dog friendly was a huge plus with a secure garden and wild life on your doorstep. The hosts were friendly and very responsive genuinely nice people . Will definitely go back .
Nothing
Absolutely loved the turf fire, hens beside us and beautiful Connemara ponies down road. Beautiful cosy cottage and scenic views all around and so tranquil! Just the most perfect relaxing stay. Thank you for having us Deborah and for the delicious eggs! We will be back and will tell family and friends of your wonderful cottage. 10/10
Nothing.
All good beautiful free range eggs left for us from chickens beside cottage.
Absolutely everything you need for a relaxing time away. Great views and near to Rinroe Beach. Chickens and lambs as neighbours. Fresh eggs left out and were delicious. Definitely plan to book again.
Beautiful little cottage with everything we needed. The fire was lighting for us when we arrived and it was very cozy.
The house was absolutely fantastic lovely and clean And everything we needed was there We definitely be back
The house was excellent. Lovely location (well off the beaten track but walking distance to the pub!). Lovely fresh eggs and other bits and pieces in the fridge and plenty of fuel for the fire. Deborah even posted me some medicine I left behind.
Nothing. The photos on the listing don't do it justice!
Very nice location, cosy house with everything that is needed for a comfortable stay. A cosy fire heated the living, kitchen area and was heated using Peat, oil central heating and very comfortable electric blankets.
Having to leave
Tidiness, nice&quiet. All you will need is there. Owner is very good&kind person.
Cold floor in the kitchen.
The house was an excellent bolt hole central to the area we wanted to discover
Absolutely nothing
Comfortable cosy everything you could possibly want stocked up with all necessities except perishables wasn’t expecting so many provisions they thought of everything.
There’s nothing to say I just had everything I needed
Beautiful little cottage with it's own enclosed garden 🏡. Well equipped with everything you might need for a stay. Appreciated arriving to a lit fire, heated beds and Christmas lights twinkling. Nicely decorated for Christmas stays.. Lovely touch to have free range farm fresh eggs, fuel for the fire place ready to go and information on some of the local tourists spots. And most importantly it's pet friendly 🙌🙌 Will definitely be back again.
Everything
A wee bit too remote for us but still, a beautiful location and the property had absolutely everything you could need.
a great house for someone who needs peace and fresh air, I am very happy with my stay there and I will definitely go back there soon 🥰 and my dogs are also very happy
in my opinion there is nothing to complain about, a very cozy place
Lovely hosts who were very accomodating to a last minute change due to illness. The house was ready for us when we arrived with eggs in the fridge and the fire going. Kitchen is fully equipped for cooking. Supermarket and restaurants 30 minutes away in Belmullet or a takeaway and shop in Bangor 20 minutes away. Located in a very quiet area.
The location was great. We were looking for a quiet accommodation that could suit us and our dog, this was perfect! Quiet enough that our toddler son can be as loud as he likes and a secured outside area that our dog can just wander around safely. The house had everything we needed and Deborah was friendly and responsive :D
The beds were on the softer side but it is only our own preference, still got a good night's sleep after all the activities of the day!
A home away from home everything you need. Quiet and peaceful. Chicken are your neighbour's. Lots to see and do in the area. Just beautiful!
Wish I stayed longer!
We brought our own provisions. We dined out mostly. We enjoyed Deborah's warmth and friendliness and the peace and quiet the location offered. Friendly sheep an added bonus!
No complaints at all. Would recommend it.
The house is at a really beautiful place with great views. We really liked the place and we will be back.
Nothing
We were given plenty of turf and eggs for the full week. It was a lovely quiet location.
Nothing
The cottage and everything in it and around it were really good. Ross Port is a lovely place when the weather is nice, walk down the lane and all the way around the headland, great cycling on super quiet roads. There are quite a few nice places to go and we particularly enjoyed Rinroe Beach, Carrowteige loop walk and Blacksod. Plenty has been said about the chickens and pet sheep - all still there!
No wifi. There are no facilities (shop/pub/etc) in the village but there is a good shop and pub in Carrowteige and a sort of diner in Cornboy, so you don't have to go all the way into Bellmullet (good Chinese eat in restaurant!) or Bangor Erris for stuff.
Absolutely everything
I can’t saying anything bad
Everything. We stayed at bungalow for second time and we are planning to come back.
The Location is beautiful. Its rural and very quiet. Our daughter loved the chickens in the adjacent field and the sheep that used to wonder into the garden. If it's peace and quite your after then it's ideal. The surrounding areas are stunning so it's a really good base.
The downside is that there isn't a shop for miles. Belmullet is the nearest town it's about 25km away from the house. The mattresses could really do to be replaced. The bigger room you can feel the springs coming through. The cooker could do to be replaced also. I wish there was a big comfy armchair but I think that's just my preference. A press to put groceries away would be good. All the presses were used for plates, cups etc.Obviously there is no WiFi so this might not suit alot of people. I never met the host. I think it would be more personable if she just popped in to say hi. However she did respond very efficiently if I texted.
Amazingly cozy cottage in a small seaside village. The host, Deborah, is extremely supportive and ready to help with any issues. Great place to immerse in a calm rural life and to explore beautiful attractions nearby.
Fantastic location
Cooker a bit wobbly!
Location and property were great. My son was allowed to feed baby sheep !!!
extremely peaceful and the chickens and sheep were my wow fun factor

We had stayed three days with our little dog and I was lucky to get to book another two days didn't want to leave house was perfect and the country side amazing did a lot of hill and beach walking taking in the beauty of all around perfect. Thanks Deborah hope to be back again 👍
Leaving 😔
Lovely cottage, very peaceful and quiet place, we have a little dog the enclosed garden was perfect for her as she watched the hen's beside the cottage scratching away happily 😊 we had a wonderful time lovely to arrive to a warm cosy cottage and fire lit perfect in every way.
Everything was perfect.
Very cosy, comfortable cottage. Lovely little escape. Cosy fire already lit before we arrived, little touches like that were great. Would highly recommend
we loved being in nature and having the chickens right next to the garden. we also loved the fact that the owners left out treats and breakfast bits for us on arrival as well as lighting the stove for us ahead of our arrival. we also appreciated our dogs being welcome with us as they had the best time too! we would definitely stay again!
nothing at all!
what can I say Deborah.........WAY AND BEYOND THE CALL OF DUTY
nothing!!!!!!!!! Deborah 100%
Deborah is a great host, she had a house ready for our arrival, stove was on and house has everyting you need. Locals are super friendly its a great location, briliant for a short break from the city.
Local pub is closed :(
I had to cancel my holiday because of booking.coms incompetence we had to cancel our holiday as they booked us a place that didn't exist and so we had to book another place at great cost as we had an autistic child with us and booking.com left us stranded in the middle of nowhere in Ireland
quaint rural Irish cottage on West Coast of Ireland. owners had fire lit and rooms heated. We also appreciated the thoughtful touch of fresh eggs for breakfast.
Best of the best
Nothing
The place and the owner are great. Amazing place and wonderful atmosphere
beautiful so loved it. quiet private warm.
Eggs and a bottle of wine left for us
perfect spot for family and dog. clean, everything you could need and lovely location.
nothing
Cosy cottage with everything that you need beautiful spot with brilliant views
Been asked for a extra 70 euros because she said that the price was wrong on booking.com....we stayed 3 nights owners we very present...putting in and out hens and sheep and cutting the lawn etc.we couldn't lock the front door even when we left the house or went to bed
The peace, remoteness and the chickens next door!!
Nothing. Just wish I’d brought the bikes.
The location of the property is so peaceful and quiet and an amazing place to get away. The property came equipped with everything we needed for self catering. Our two active dogs loved the large secluded garden and were fascinated by the hens next door. There is a water inlet just down the road, ideal for dogs to swim or two fabulous beaches within a short drive. Deborah is a lovely, friendly host who leaves you to it. We really loved this place and will definitely return
