The Bumblebee Cottage was just wonderful for our short break. It is in a fantastic location with lots to see and do nearby. The owners were very attentive with excellant communication and some great recommendations for places to eat. The property is clean, very well presented, a great size and has everything you would need for a long or short stay. We will certainly be back.
Die Unterkunft war sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. In der Küche war alles vorhanden, was wir brauchten. Pubs sind zu Fuß gut zu erreichen. Wenn. das Wetter es zulässt, könnte man auch draußen sitzen.
All as described.
It was very kind of them to let us bring the dog.
Road a wee bit noisy
Everything
Nothing really, only downside was busy main road at times but didn’t spoil our stay
The row house was perfect for us 5. Clean, neat, tons of information regarding the house and the surrounding area. The kitchen has every gadget needed. The location is directly across the street from 4 pubs that were surprisingly quiet the 3 nights we were there. Extremely friendly people in the pubs. There is a washing machine and clothes line in the nice backyard. On-street parking is available, but we chose to drive 100ft to a side street and park because our vehicle was a full size SUV. Highly recommend.
Nothing
Bumble Bee theme was very refreshing. Everyday we spotted something new in the house bumble bee themed. It was emaculately clean. Beds were very comfortable. Everything we could possibly need. Owners were in contact with suggestions to enhance our stay. We will definately return to the Bumble bee cottage.
Nothing. Loved everything about it.
Lovely little cottage in in the centre of a small village near shop ,pub and chipper.
No proper parking facility. No off street parking spaces full and had to park on very busy street in the village and on our last night someone tipped and damaged the driver side wing to the car causing damage
The area around was nice. The property itself is outdated. On initial contact Glen seems to be a nice fella.
The steps leading up are hazardous. The door matt is loose. There should be a substantial section cut out and a matt embedded into it. I have already been in hospital for three days with a broken nose, nine cracked ribs and bleeding on the brain.... I could easily died
Very comfortable, well equipped.
We would have appreciated a place that we could walk to have dinner.
The cottage was equipped with everything you need. Our hosts were very pleasant to deal with and it was very clean.
Accommodation of an extremely last minute request when another rental fell through. Amazingly cosy home with absolutely everything we needed. Very responsive hosts and a great location between Donegal town and Slieve League.
Comfortable..homely...fully equipped...
Was a work visit and after work this was the perfect place to relax.

Just an overall enjoyable stay.
Conveniently sited for attractions. It was spacious, warm, and well equipped.
Some of the doors didn’t close. Parking was ok, but would have been bad in wet weather.
keuken en bedden
eigenlijk niks!
Comfortable and warm.
Nothing
Nice garden, comfortable bed and good amenities, good proximity to local towns, friendly neighbourhood
Traffic noise, parking not great,
Location was great for the beach, local shop just beside the house. The host's were very nice on hand if needed, house was clean had everything we needed for are kids. Good size rooms and comfortable beds.
Parking was awkward especially with 2 young kids . Busy road so left it hard getting kids in and out of car. The neighbour wasn't a bit pleasant let her dogs out after 11pm each night waking up my child 😌 garden was very open, no privacy so we didn't get much use of it.
Everything. It was spacious, clean and comfortable. It's a great place to stay with kids. We were sad to be leaving it was like home away from home.
Nothing.
Wonderful stay in your beautiful home.kiddies loved the back garden and the location was great too.. would highly recommend this house would love to return again at some stage. Thank you
Bumblebee cottage was really comfortable and cozy it is a very clean beautiful home very peaceful and quiet place to stay and is central to different towns and beautiful beaches nearby
Nothing everything was exceptional
Spacious and beds were comfortable. Enjoyed the whimsical touches.
Limited walkable shopping and restaurants.
The house was excellent and much better than expected
Nothing
Absolutely immaculate. Dogs allows. All necessary appliances and household equipment.
A cosy welcoming house with lots of attention to detail. The house was scrupulously clean, very well equipped and nicely decorated. The bumblebee motive around the house give it a quirky character. The hosts communicated really well throughout

Superb accommodation. It was beautifully appointed. Contained everything and more anyone could ever dream of having a need for. Really a dream place to stay and so much better than we expected. Really would highly recommend. Perfect place for us, to get away from it all for a week. Clean and cosy and romantic. Loved it
A little noisy with the traffic, but hardly noticed really
The house was more spacious than we expected- was really nicely done and had everything we could have needed. A real home from home! The pub was across the street and a wee shop nearby.
Towels could have been bigger.
Lovely place. Has all the amenities needed.

Everything about the cottage was excellent. The location was excellent. The ambience with excellent. The cleanliness of the home was excellent. We really enjoyed our stay. we would book it again there. Overall it was the best place we've stayed so far. Thank you so much
Nothing
Extremely clean. Enclosed back garden. Comfortable seating.
More mugs and maybe a few bigger ones!! The concrete area at the back of the house needed powerwashed
Bumble bee cottage was just like a home away from home, it had everything you need. Place was spacious and spotless. There is a shop and some bars along the street, everything else is a short drive away.
Very clean, and well equipped
Quite at night. Premises spotless. All mod convinces
There was nothing not to like
The quietness of the location, not far from Donegal town.
Shower on the small side, nothing else everything was great
Good size property, good size bedroom. Finished to a high standard and very clean. Couldn’t bee 🐝 nicer. Nice location close to killybegs and Donegal town. Even had a lovely little garden to the back of the property.
A very nicely set up place. Very roomy. We were able to access our planned places to visit easily from there. A lot of scenery close by. The host responded quickly to any questions we had. Easy access in and leaving. I would definitely stay there again.
We had one issue with the heating system, the host responded quickly and tried to get it dealt with, but a 3 day weekend made it impossible. Fortunately, there was a wood burning stove to help and the host delivered more material. A manageable problem. I would stay there again.
House was very cosy and welcoming
Nothing to dislike
Excellent hosts. Left eggs and birthday balloons!! Great communication.
Back garden needs some TLC.
The home was lovely, and we were able to book it on the day that we needed it, due to an unexpected issue with another booking, and the property owner was very friendly and helpful. They suffered thru us Americans not understanding Irish home plumbing and electric working with terrific patience! Home well appointed and beautiful. Situated well for sightseeing.
The twin bedroom was lacking. The mattress was very uncomfortable, and there was no desk or mirror.
Glenn and Mary were really helpful and responded quickly to any questions we had regarding the property
It was great there was nothing not to like
Great house with all the facilities even a wood burner which was great for February in Donegal. And Glen even provided us with some turf, coal and logs. Shop and pubs across the road. Few miles away from St John's point and Killybegs.
Nothing
The cottage was very homely, clean, and very well equipped. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. The bedrooms were all a good size, and the bathroom had a bath and shower with toiletries As the weather was wet, windy, and cold, we used the log burner every night, which gave off lots of heat and made the house feel very cosy. There was absolutely no mistaking the name of the cottage, as there were bumblebee items everywhere you turned! The cottage was also dog friendly, which was an extra bonus. We didn't meet the hosts Glen & and Mary, but they were always very helpful and courteous in their correspondence.
There wasn't much to do or see in Dunkineely, but it had a great little Mace shop opposite the cottage, which was very handy. We were nonetheless still happy with the location as it was just a few kms away from so many places. The quilts in the bedrooms were very thick and heavy - but I imagine that that is simply a matter of personal choice!
The cottage is with a cute bee decoration! Glen and Mary care a lot about children! Their are a lot of toys en the house!
Good location, Spacious, well kitted out! Everything you need !
No probs with property
Spacious and pretty
We couldn’t figure out the heating
The property had a real homely and comfortable feeling about it. Myself and my family felt very safe and happy here, it was immaculate and had everything you could need. It was in the perfect location for exploring, we visited Donegal town many times which is a short drive of around 15 minutes away. We also visited St John’s Point which was absolutely beautiful! The property was spotless clean and decorated beautifully! It has every single thing you could think of which would be needed during a stay away from home and the hosts Glen and Mary were very welcoming and accommodating! Will definitely return.
Nothing.
Level of comfort, location, exceptional facilities, ease of getting keys, ease of contacting hosts
The shower
Great spot in terms of a base to explore south Donegal. Shop less than a minute walk away. Lovely host, very attentive. Spotless house.
On roadside, quite noisy. Traffic does not slow down despite being on a road through village. Pub on Friday night very loud, music till late. Mattress uncomfortable. Only two ceramic bowls for breakfast, rest plastic. Could do with more 'hanging up' space, i.e., for towels, in bathroom etc. Shower was unforgivable unfortunately....a dribble at best. Not suitable for young kids; on a busy roadside, garden is cement and nettles in grass would prove tricky.
It was very warm, clean and had a fully stocked kitchen with all the pots pans and utensils needed to cook dinner and breakfast.
Friendly hosts, comfortable home all to ourselves!
Nothing
Pleasant host who purchased necessities for the little before arrival. Close proximity to a great pub & view point. Log burner.
