Wij hadden spijt dat we dit verblijf niet voor langer hadden geboekt! We missen nu al de prachtige locatie, hond Oscar, het huis was gewoon perfect, stil, schoon, heel smaakvol en comfortabel ingericht, het voelde meteen als thuis

De ligging is fantastisch, het huis is super ruim en comfortabel, bedden slapen heerlijk.

Als ik dan iets moet verzinnen… het weer! Helaas hadden we regen…

Spacious and characterful property.

Stunning spacious accommodation on a beautiful property. Owner was lovely and helpful and their dog was so friendly. We had so much room as the apartment was huge. Beds were comfortable and location was great

It was accomodation only. No meals.

It’s a beautiful, very large apartment on a stunning farm with horses, alpacas, chickens (and fresh eggs are supplied). It’s attached to the main house but feels like a separate building as it’s so quiet and spacious. We didn’t discover the washing machine until we were leaving, unfortunately, but it certainly has all the comforts of home. A short drive from supermarkets and town. Couldn’t fault it. Susan was friendly as was the lovely doggie.

Susan is a lovely and very helpful host. The house is wonderful and much more than you would expect. It’s probably the best holiday rental we have stayed in Ireland. Lovely grounds and the farm animals were a delight, particularly the horses. The house is a beautifully restored old house done with taste and flair. We loved it. The area had plenty to see and do from the interesting town of Cobh to ballymaloe, fota island and cork city is a short train trip away.

Space, quality, facilities

Een prachtige omgeving om te logeren; Je kijkt uit op een weide met schapen en paarden. Echt Ierland Vriendelijke host. Goede bedden en een prachtig huis om in te verblijven. Alles was heel netjes en proper. Je kan te voet naar het centrum gaan waar winkels en restaurantjes zijn.

The location was perfect for us. We saw so much and being 30 minutes away from Cork city was perfect. The accommodation was possibly the best we've stayed in. It was clean, neat and tastefully decorated with everything we needed, even a resident sheepdog, horses and cows. We would highly recommend staying here. Ireland exceeded our expectations and having this beautiful place to base ourselves in the quiet area was absolutely perfect 👌

Broomfield House is a generously sized property with two spacious bedrooms. A full sized kitchen with a coffee machine plus pods which was very appreciated. Loads of supermarket options within minutes and an easy train ride to Cork or Cobh. It's such a tranquil setting with horses, and cows. The family dog Oscar is very affectionate and loves attention but is not annoying. Having a drying rack was super helpful when doing washing - we have noticed this is not always provided at some properties. Super clean also.

There was no such thing!

This property was absolutely outstanding. The property is extremely spacious inside and out. I wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy it some more. The host was the kindest person I have met. She helped us get sorted on transportation, made sure we had everything we needed.

I loved everything about our stay at Broomfield. It was beautifully decorated and spotless, a lovely peaceful easy feeling about the place. Short walk into Midleton which has plenty of nice shops and places to eat.

We were visiting family and the stay at Broomfield was wonderful. The house was lovely and clean, so much bigger than we imagined, cosy, quiet and peaceful. Every window had a view of the fields and it was so lovely to see the horses, sheep & hens every time we looked out of the window. We also met the owner’s two dogs who were gorgeous and very friendly. You have everything you need there and if you want a very peaceful retreat this is definitely the place to stay. The train station is 5 minutes away with free parking and we took the train into Cork city which was so handy. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return again one day.

Just a few suggestions: An outdoor light would have been handy as we had a few late returns and it is very difficult to see in the dark walking to the front door. A heated airer would speed up the drying process as there was only a washing machine and a fold out airer but no tumble dryer. And perhaps some instructions about the bins etc as we weren’t sure if one was for general rubbish and the other for recycling. None of this spoilt our holiday in any way though & we had a great time there.

Beautiful, huge, spacious, totally self-contained period accommodation located on a rural property. Bathrooms located both upstairs and downstairs. The Fireplace was a treat along with heaters throughout both floors. parking directly in front. Midleton is less then 2km away. The hosts were very helpful and welcoming and made us feel like we were with friends.

The five days we were there was not long enough to enjoy everything.

The house and grounds were lovely. Everything about the stay was excellent. Comfortable beds, large bathrooms and a well appointed kitchen made the house a very comfortable place to stay. A variety of pubs, restaurants, shops and amenities were a short walk away in Middleton.

While comfortable, we found the beds to be a little low, not to our liking.

Loved the location and surroundings ! Beautiful and quiet. It is as nice, if not nicer than the photos. Midelton is a small neat little town with everything you need. Lots of local sites including Blarney Castle, only half an hour drive away. I would definately recommend this accommodation.

Ambience was first rate. Kitchen was very well equipped

The low beds were comfortable, but just too low. Some of the lights need attention/bulb replacement maybe?

We really loved the spacious quiet house. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. The house is spotless clean and beautifully decorated. We loved the chickens and dogs that came to greet on a daily basis. We had the best time here!

Our stay began with a greeting from two very friendly dogs who visited with us throughout our stay. Fresh eggs in the fridge and chickens roaming. Accommodation was clean and comfortable. This ranked #1 out of the four places that we stayed during our trip. We would definitely stay here again!!

Lovely quiet location, really friendly and helpful host. Fresh eggs from the hens in the garden was a nice touch. And look out for the outdoor wood sculptures. Thanks for everything.

Loved the apartment, the location was amazing. The apartment is very large, lots of room. The kitchen was very well appointed. Absolutely no complaints. Highly recommend this property.

Nothing, was perfect

The property is inviting, clean, comfortable, very quiet and in a great location. The home had accommodations for people with physical disabilities, which was great to see. A chair lift up the stairs and rails/seating in the bathroom/shower. My master bedroom was spacious and very comfortable. The bathrooms are quite big and clean.The property's dogs Oscar and Cody are super friendly and the spoilt chickens as well....who provided me with fresh eggs. I had free firewood by my door every night for a super cosy fire. Susan is very friendly, quick to answer messages and couldn't do enough for you. Thank you for a very memorable 2 weeks. It went too fast!! Highly recommend.

Everything. Broomfield is gorgeous. Very cosy and lush, tastefully decorated, warm, the kitchen is great and fully stocked with everything, beds comfortable, the views, nature and animal life around are stunning, the hosts are super welcoming as are the two farm dogs :) The farm is two minutes from Midleton, very easy accessible. We had a really lovely stay and hope to be back next year.

There is nothing not to like about Broomfield in my opinion.

All the convenience you need in a very pretty setting. The farm dogs are lovely and when the weather is nice the patio is a pleasant place to sit. Close to town and cork city. Fresh eggs from the hens were a lovely touch

We loved staying outside of town at this farm. They have two friendly dogs, plus a horse, sheep, chickens, etc. It was very convenient to Midleton and we could take the train to Cork. The house is roomy and all appliances worked well.

No shortcomings were noted.

Lovely spacious house in rural setting very close to the local amenities in Middletown with easy access to Cork and surrounding areas. Susan is s very welcoming, accommodating host and couldn’t have been more helpful.

There is nothing not to like about this house although it will benefit from the addition of WiFi once the fibre optic cables are installed.

I loved how the space was so comfortable and welcoming and just you were completely surrounded by beautiful farmland. The dogs were gorgeous company and the place have everything you could possibly need

We loved next door @ Bloomfield. It was very quiet, as is out of town ( but very short drive into town). The house is beautifully furnished, is equipped with everything you need to self cater, warm and cosy, lovely outlook over pastures. Directions and arrival instructions very easy to follow. It was a delight to stay and we didn’t want to move on. Wished we’d stayed longer. Susan is a a perfect host.

Would have liked bath sheets instead of bath towels, but I’m being REALLY picky by saying that!

Beautiful wing of old style Manor house ,spacious, comfortable and tastefully decorated, we had everything we needed.Nice avenue wirh horses and friendly dogs.Couldn't have asked for more,we loved it.

Amazing home just a few blocks outside Midleton! Beautifully decorated and complete kitchen to cook up a meal! The owner left us some fresh eggs and milk in the fridge that we used for breakfast! 😊. The setting was in the country with sheep, horses, chickens all around and so peaceful. Loved everything about our stay in this beautiful and very comfortable home.

The only thing would be the size of the beds - wished they were queen or king.

The house was lovely, and we very much appreciated the milk and fresh eggs provided. After our long drive from Dublin we were looking forward to a cup of tea. It was a great couple of days.

Just liked everything about the property, Spotlessly clean, the property has absolutely everything, a 2 min drive from the town , yet it is secluded. One of the best kept self catering have seen, spacious and comfortable

Great location and within 15 mins of anything we wanted to see in Cork. The property was warm, clean, spacious and comfortable. The farm house setting makes the surroundings quite and very easy to relax. Susan, her family and the 2 dogs made great hosts and catered for our every need. I would highly recommend next door at Broomfield house as the place to stay on any visit to Cork.
