Tired Dated and kitchen needs a total refresh and a deep clean. . Teabags and Milk supplied but no coffee. No dishcloths left . Bathrooms need refresh also. We booked this house after reading previous reviews and pictures but whoever stated house was “spotless “must have stayed a long time ago. Hate giving a review like this but very disappointed in house. Pillows in bedrooms flat and well used.

Absolutely nothing

This was the worst property I have ever booked, we had to stay elsewhere due to how filthy it was upon arrival. It was not suitable for anyone to stay there. Overall appearance and standard of the property is nothing like the photos. The house is unkempt, dirt on the floors, paint peeling off the kitchen tiles, flies inside and outside the kitchen window. Dust and dirt on the sofas, leather peeling off the chairs, holes in the kitchen cabinet boards, paint coming off the kitchen cabinets. Cobwebs hanging from the ceiling, dust above the TV and dirt along the skirting boards. Upstairs the pillows are lumps and bed furnishings minimal with blankets unwashed and dirty. Bathrooms cleaned but in dire need of refurbishment with dust ans debris in the doorways. Carpet cleaning required in the stairs - property smells musty and like alcohol. When I spoke to the host, Ivor assured me it was clean, despite living in Dublin so he was not local and refused to listen to anything I had to say.

Location is excellent. We are family of 6 so this house was perfect. Everything you could possibly need is provided. And it didn't cost the earth.

Location was excellent a bit hilly but totally expected as I know westport.

Perhaps some dank water outside the kitchen window. A few flies in the area outside the kitchen window..All in all though...these things can happen quickly.

Very close to town, despite steep hill back up from town. Very comfortable.

Could do with being re decorated. Lots of black mould spots especially in en suites.

We stayed here for a multigenerational holiday in the centre of Westport. We were delighted with the house, which is clean, very well-equipped and very comfortable. We especially appreciated that each bedroom has its own bathroom, as we were 7 people in total. Also, the heating system worked well and we were cosy despite the cold wet weather. The centre of Westport is just a few minutes walk away, including a supermarket. Aisling was very quick to respond to our questions and dealt with a minor issue with the house (which arose while we were there) very efficiently such that it was only a minor inconvenience for us. Altogether we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this property and can highly recommend it.

So much room in the house. Plenty of room for a group of friends with plenty of bedding space and bathroom space. The host was so easy to communicate with and really made us feel at home! Easy walk down into the Main Street with an incline on the way home but only for a minute. Incredible location

Very conveniently located in the centre of Westport with plenty of on street parking which is paid at the local council parking rates. Flat rate for one day. Good size. Well equipped. Two sitting rooms for hanging out. Lovely garden. Washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, microwave and oven and hob. All the facilities you need if self catering. Aisling the host is extremely helpful and responsive and there is a folder in the kitchen with lots of information on local attractions and restaurants.

Nothing excellent well equipped perfect for short to medium stay with family or group.

The location was great . It was homely and very clean. Bread and milk was left for us and the WiFi and Smart tvs were very good. We attended a family funeral in Westport and this house was a good base. It was so comfortable and guest friendly. I will definitely recommend this house and come back again during the holidays. Great value.

Nothing, it was just right for us.

The property is more spacious than the photos let on, and the outdoor area is amazing in good weather. The beds were really comfortable and the showers all worked well. The kitchen is very well set up too. Overall I really couldn’t criticise this place. Aisling left us a bottle of wine and a pan of bread (all we really needed to be happy haha). She was super communicative and helpful always. The location is truly fantastic. Parking on the street nearby was very easy too.

The property was so central - minutes walk from Main Street with all shops and pubs - up a very very steep hill!! Aisling was so communicative and she supplied so much detailed information before we arrived about Westport and its surroundings.

Double bed was a little small for 2 people

The location, size of the home, the private fence and the outdoor space. The host was extremely responsive and helpful in accommodating everything we needed help with.

The mattresses were somewhat uncomfortable, and the bathrooms were small.

Excellent, quiet location. Very well equipped and comfortable. Very responsive host. Great supermarket and pubs 5 mins on foot. Large garden.

Daily parking fee via app only was inconvenient. Decor a little tired.

Excellent location just a few minutes walk to the town centre. Spacious accommodation with all amenities provide inc a rear garden with picnic bench to use on warm sunny days.

The property would benefit from some maintenance and a ‘deep clean’

Great central location, a short walk away to Westport centre! We were a group staying to attend a wedding and it was good value for money.

Mattress in the small double bed room needs changing as it was extremely sunken and uncomfortable. Shower in that same room is very weak and switches between hot and cold temperatures. Couches and chairs downstairs also appear very sunken in.

House was in a great location, well.laid out and was.spotlessly clean. The host was wonderful, Aisling left a lovely little welcome package and was very understanding when we had to contact her about something. We couldn't recommend the house or Aisling enough

Our stay was simply fabulous 👌. The house was spotless, comfortable, and ideally located only a 3 minute walk to downtown. Our host saw to every little detail with a lovely welcome package. Aisling she was absolutely amazingly helpful and responsive. Thank you, Aisling. We will be back.

Fabulous, central London. Aisling was great with communicating everything we needed and all questions were answered very quickly. Loads of information about the area was left in the house which was useful. We couldn't fault the facilities.

One of the showers was a bit temperamental with it's temperature.

Excellent location, super responsive and helpful owner. Provided so much useful information and recommendations for the town and area. Has everything you need for a Westport and County Mayo family vacation. Including walking sticks that we used for climbing Croagh Patrick! Loved being able to walk so quickly to the center of town with all of its restaurants, shops and pubs. Nice enclosed yard/garden. Quiet little street.

The one bathroom in the back had very weak water pressure. We had to use the other two showers. Hot water wasn’t an issue. Just water pressure. Also. top mattress in the bunk in the back room needs to be replaced. We could feel the mattress coils. So we switched beds (there were just 4 of us).

The location was perfect and the size and layout of the property was ideal for us. It was very clean with all the comforts of home. The owner was super helpful - even left us a bottle of wine!

Maybe being fussy but the shower lacked any power… we all love a proper strong shower in our family.

Super location only a few minutes walk from the centre of Westport. Plenty of parking nearby. Very helpful welcoming host, easy to contact and shared lots of useful information. Very comfortable homely house. Plenty of space for us and our 3 teenager kids. The kids loved having an ensuite shower room for each bedroom. Would definitely recommend.

We were welcomed with a note and bottle of wine on the kitchen table! The home was cozy, and easy walking distance to groceries, restaurants, and Westport house. We were able to do some much needed laundry in the washer/dryer and Aisling was very responsive to any questions we had.

Everything was perfect, great communication, easy access, beautiful little garden, every room has its own en-suite, great Wi-Fi, parking availability, kitchen facilities, 2 living rooms, just a great place

Beautiful property centrally located, perfect base for exploring! Hosts were incredibly welcoming and gave fantastic recommendations for our stay.

Although having explicit instructions from the hosts, we couldn’t figure out the hot water at all (definetly more to do with us than anything else).

Location was amazing and place was lovely and spacious. Close to supermarket and everything you could need. Hosts left us bread, milk and wine which was very nice on arrival. Also toiletries in bathrooms were a great touch as always forget something when packing! Place was very quiet yet close to pubs etc. Garden was also nice.

The toaster was broken on one side which was a bit annoying for a group of people. This was pretty minor though.

Property needs refurbishment a bit tired, taps in kitchen , shower surround , Some mould on ceilings. Although there was heating it was inadequate. No carving knife. Main bed mattress was like a board.

The location was good.

The heating system was poor. We came to a cold house. The kettle was dodgy. The showers were poor. Bad pressure cold and the grouting was terrible.

In the town but also private, house had everything you need, owner also left bread tea,coffee and milk for us.

It is in a brilliant location, it’s lovely and clean. Owners are very accommodating

The Location was great. The house was spacious, clean & very well looked after.

The only issue was water pressure in the showers & the double bedroom on the right the door kept sticking & someone on the outside had to let them out.
