Excellent location, clean and tidy and very well equipped.
There was musty smell in the spare room but not overwhelming. Did not affect us as we were in the other room.
Cosy and comfortable everything you need to just relax and chill with loved ones
Sehr gemütlich und originell.
Die Anfahrt ist (mit größeren Autos) etwas schwer (schmal)
It was comfortable and private. Comfortable beds.
Not easy to find. It was smaller than it looked in the photos and the smell of woodsmoke was very strong when we arrived.
Location.
Nothing.
Julian and Jayne were very friendly and accommodating- they gave all information related to the cottage in a timely manner. The cottage was absolutely beautiful, clean and comfortable. Fantastic location with plenty to do within a short distance - would definitely recommend staying here - we loved it xxx
The cottage was perfect.
Erg leuk huisje, mooie ligging, voorzien van alle gemakken. Fantastische wandelingen, bezienswaardigheden en pub in de buurt.
Picknickbank maar geen andere lekkere stoeltjes om buiten te zitten.
Lovely cottage and amazing views.
No complains
Spotless, beautiful location
The views and location were amazing. The cottage was very cozy and comfortable. Jayne and julian made it very welcoming. It had everything you would need. We will defintly be back.
Leider war es bei Ankunft im Haus kalt 16 °C heitzung ausgeschaltet ,kein Ansprechpartner vor Ort .
Everything it was a beautiful cottage and had loads of extras to make the stay enjoyable
Na
We loved the hillside cottage it was the best it was comfy loved the bed best day ever the kitchen was nice to the kids loved it was a lovely place and the games for the kids were a great idea!
Nothing was bad!!
It was so cosy & the location was perfect
Really sweet little cottage in a lovely spot. It is well equipped, warm, and clean. I had a very pleasant stay that really felt like home.
Possibly user fault - but I was unable to access a free-to-air news channel on the television. Otherwise no complaints
Superbly appointed property, with great attention to details. Hosts are just great.
Lo action was perfect. A beautiful old cottage, well equipped and owner responded to queries almost immediately

A little bit of heaven...it was perfect for our trip exploring Mayo and Connemara. The Cottage has everything you could possibly need for a little break away. We will definitely be back 😀
We could not fault this place...
A lovely Cozy Cottage that had everything you need! Very peaceful and quiet, look forward to returning!
Some minor maintenance needed, reported so hopefully resolved for next time.
Beautiful little cottage in a wonderful location. Charming, comfortable and with thoughtful hosts.
The very narrow road entrance made us a little anxious in a hire car! But we managed it without damage.
Great location. Cozy and well equipped. Fantastic food in The Tavern 2 mins walk away.
Excellent location with Tavern pub, restaurant within a 2 minute walk. Beautiful garden and views. Great beaches close by
House wasn't cleaned properly. Food from previous guests left in bread bin. One bedroom smelled of damp. Vegetables on kitchen floor. Main lights in bedrooms don't work. Cleaned the whole house ourselves and even cleaned the couch to get rid of the smell. With two young kids this standard isn't right for the price we paid. The outside area with the bbq etc is dirty. The bbq needed cleaned before use and we never used it because of this.
Excellent location, near the start of the trail to climb Croagh Patrick, guided walks and beaches. Great base for visiting South and West Mayo. A bonus is how close it is to Roonagh, where you can ferry to Clare Island. There are 2 GREAT pubs, within walking distance. Campbells, and The Tavern which also serves award winning food at a reasonable price. We were quite comfortable here, the rooms warmed up easily, the kitchen well equipped.
Privacy and had all amenities required
Would recommend a sign on the roadside to direct cottage users to the property
Great location, quiet, and private. Perfect for 2 couples.
It was perfect and without doubt the best short break that we’ve ever had, the cottage it at the foot of Croagh Patrick and that in itself was a spectacular view to wake up to. We both agreed that we would stay at the cottage again, we loved it 🥰
We really enjoyed our stay. The house was immaculate and just far enough from the road outside to be unaffected by passing traffic. Thoroughly recommend this house, the whole area is beautiful.
My only complaint and its not the fault of the owner, the water at the property is not suitable for drinking.I understand the water in the area is to be upgraded shortly.
I liked the location and the quaintness of the cottage
Shampoo and bodywash was poor and little of it considering price payed
We absolutely loved our stay in the Cottage. We can't wait to come back already. Thank you
Beautiful little cottage, perfect location for us as our visit was to climb Croagh Patrick, which is only 2min drive from the cottage. Pub and restaurant literally next door.
Breath taking, inside and out, has everything you could want or need when self catering, it honestly felt like we were in a fairytale for two days- hosts were so helpful for info on Westport and were on hand if anything went wrong, but everything was perfect Thank you Jayne & Julian, We’ll definitely be back
I travelled with 2 adults and 2 children The cottage is beautiful, it is so inviting, cosy and spotlessly clean, I felt relaxed the minute I entered, it has everything you need (including board games). It is perfectly located, just outside Westport, a few minutes from Croagh Patrick with a view of the summit from one of the bedrooms. It is a short walk to the pier and the Abbey, with wonderful beaches and views, and a 2 minute stroll to the Tavern where the food, drinks and service are top class. I visit this part of the country often and have stayed in many places, this accommodation is now my favourite and I will definitely be back. Thank you
Loved everything about the cottage. It was clean and cosy and had everything you would need.
We loved the location and setting that the cottage is in. The design is so cool and fits so much comfort and character in to such a cosy little place. We spent our few nights here with the fire on, painting, reading, playing music and venturing out to explore all the beaches around Louisburgh, from Bertra to Silver Strand in the Lost Valley. It's just a quick spin into Wesport for music and pints. The kitchen was really well stocked and ready to do whatever cooking you wanted to. Our hosts were very attentive and helpful. Loved our time here and can't recommend highly enough. Big shout out to the collection of classic books in the house, only problem was we didn#t have enough time to read them all!!
Easy entry and everything was set out in a neat and accessible way.
Fabulous cottage in a great location for exploring Westport, Clew Bay, Croagh Patrick & beyond. Warm & cosy with everything you need for a great break.
The cottage was cozy, warm, and the water hot. While the fireplace did not generate much heat (could not adjust the flue damper) it did add a nice ambience. The proximity to Westport was great and the setting charming.
Wish we had know the water supply was non-potable when making the reservation. Based on the signage in the cottage this was not a new development. Was also surprised to find the laundry facilities were located in an unheated shed.
Loved the fire and the whole cottage. everything was so comfortable and clean and cosy
Beautiful cozy cottage had everything we needed
Nice and quiet, got a great night's sleep. Lovely traditional style home. Closely located to croagh Patrick and the tavern pub.
Nothing much to dislike, the doors are low but that was more of my problem because I'm 6ft4.
The cutest cottage, stunning views and in general way more than I expected for the value. Plus the host is really kind and helpful.
Lovely little quaint cottage at foot of Croagh Patrick
The location is peaceful. The cottage is cozy and well equipped. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable.
The issue of the poor quality water was not disclosed until payment had been taken and prior to our arrival. The shower is fine but the tap water runs brown. Not suitable for drinking and not appealing for a bath. The washing machine is handy but you cant wash whites as they will probably discolor.

Laneway to cottage
The location of the cottage is excellent with a lovely secluded garden and the cottage itself is very charming . The bedrooms were nicely furnished.
The facilities were basic, the bathroom and kitchen need updating.
Absolutley beautiful and adorable place to stay,a few cobwebs on the ceiling but cottage was very clean overall, kitchen small but well orgnized, you dont need bigger space to preper the meals, living room also small but adorble and makes you fell very cozy, also something for the kids, whole family actually, corner with the games. Heating works perfectly as well.
We loved how cozy and the cottage was, not to mention the location. Perfect distance from Westport and we even snuck out for a morning swim and sauna at Old Head Beach. Will definitely be back!
Absolutely nothing.
Very cosy and had a stove , heating system as well you could adjust the temperature yourself
Nothing
Such a cosy cottage..great location beside the tavern

Great Welcome Basket on arrival. Lovely setting and very cozy interior.
Too bad we couldn't drink the water but host is working on that!!
The cottage is perfect, with everything one might need. It is tastefully decorated and cosy. The location is perfect, just up the lane from The Tavern an excellent gastro-pub and very close to Croak Patrick
The lock box would not open.... we called Jayne who was very helpful and gave us the directions to a second key. It should not be in the section 'What didn't you like' as the problem was quickly resolved.... but we were very glad it was not dark when we arrived.....
Cosy peaceful and clean cottage with all the comforts of home within walking distance to beaches, gastro tavern, traditional pub and Croagh Patrick. Short drive to the famous town of Westport and the Irish fjord town of Leenaun with breathtaking scenery. This is a gem of a place where you will unwind and want to return to. I had a wonderful time in Murrisk, home of the world famous Murrisk Oyster. The hosts provided all the info I needed to dive right in and enjoy my stay where I felt very welcome.
The cottage is charming, location convenient and picturesque. The owners are prompt if you need assistance.
Everything! The view from the garden and the garden itself were incredible. Particularly loved the fairy tree! As for the inside the decor was so cute, very cosy. Super close to Bertra beach and Westport town, ideal location!
Nothing!
Great location for exploring the area and stunning views of the mountain at the back door.
Not having clean drinking water made things a little tricky with a child . Also wasn't very clean when we arrived and sheets on the beds were still wet. Place just needs a deep clean.
Location and comfort and good facilities

Traditional Irish cottage Lovely location, great to go with the bikes.
water could not be drank as it’s not treated. tiny living room, had to fold and unfold table and chairs every time we need to eat. internet signal very poor and tv very slow
Beautiful location. Perfect for access to a Westport and surrounding area. Quiet and peaceful in gorgeous surroundings. View of Croagh Patrick was spectacular.
The location was perfect for viewing local areas of interest. The cottage was small and comfortable. Host was in touch prior to travel with all necessary information. Plenty of towels provided and board games to keep all ages entertained

The cottage is very clean and comfortable. It is just 1 km away from Croaghpatrick and 10mins away from the town. Beds are very comfortable. It’s complete from utensils to seasonings, if you want to cook, there’s a restaurant nearby as well.
stunning views, comfy and cosy with great character.
