Murrisk Apartments - Self Catering

The apartment was spacious and clean. It had a nice view over a large courtyard. The location was within walking distance of a pub/restaurant and cafes and also had easy access to walking trails.

Magical views of Clew Bay and Croagh Patrick. . Spotlessly clean. Right at the foot of Croagh Patrick. Cafes & pubs within walking distance. The pier onsite is perfect for a swim at high tide.

Check in time is late, 4.30pm. Check out is way too early, 10am.

Everything was absolutely perfect. Very clean, really spotless. Comfortable bed, and comfortable chairs too to sit in. When I was reading the comments before booking the stay, I saw some visitors complaining about the metal stairs, noise, and not enough cutlery in the kitchen. Please ignore all these comments. The stairs are steady and normal, nothing wrong with them. There are enough plates, cups, and cutlery for at least 4 people in the one-bedroom apartment, so that’s not something you need to worry about. And there is absolutely NO NOISE! Very quiet and peaceful. The view is breathtaking, everywhere you look. Waking up and drinking coffee while looking out the windows was my favourite part of the stay. The location is perfect, a 10-minute drive to Westport and close enough to everything Mayo has to offer. The dinner at the Tavern, five minutes from the place, was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. I will definitely come back with my friends because they need to see this place too.

Everything was amazing. The only thing I would suggest is a later check-out time. 10am is a bit too early, especially for a self-catering place where we need to organise and clean a bit of the place before we leave. Considering the check-in is at 16:30, it would be nice to have a check-out at 10:30 or 11:00. But again, that’s just a suggestion, and it didn’t impact our stay.

It was in a stunning location overlooking the bay and Croagh Patrick. It was very clean and comfortable.

There wasn’t an iron or hairdryer in the property so had to contact the office but they provided them when asked. A soap dispenser would be useful in the bathrooms.

The view! and that there are two bathrooms for two bedrooms. Floor heating The dishwasher and that there's tea and coffee provided. It's a very good accommodation that I would recommend.

I liked everything. What I might annotate is the fact that there is a washing machine but no clothes horse to dry your things on. And a little detergent provided would be helpful (just as you get tabs for the dishwasher - which I appreciated 👍)

We headed here for a girlie weekend and it was the most beautiful setting. The apartment was fabulous and had everything one would need while being away from home! The decor was so modern and everything was spotless. Easy check in and easy check out. Thank you

Fabulous views over the bay, tranquil and relaxing feel to apartment. Very clean, beds perfect, bedding very good quality. Plenty of parking in gated area. Location suited us well with Croagh Patrick behind, pub nearby and Westport easily accessible.

Lokalizacja, bajeczne widoki, przestronność, warto dopłacić do apartamentów z widokiem na zatokę.

Bardzo niskie ciśnienie ciepłej wody, o ile się pojawi - trzeba odczekać nawet 2-3 minuty, przy tym standardzie to niedopuszczalne. Obsługa wiedział że przyjedziemy z małym dzieckiem późno w nocy i zostawiła wszystkie okna otwarte. Wewnątrz było zimno jak na dworze.

The location. The property itself was very comfortable.and clean.

In Apt 8, it was impossible to close the bedroom door in the downstairs bedroom. The size of the bed made it impossible to close the door. For couples and families this is very poor for any sense of privacy - plus the light from the outside inevitably comes through the front door glass.

Missing a few items that would make the experience even nicer. Oven mitts, cutting board, and a mirror near a wall plug as the bathrooms are the the only mirrors and they with a limited wall socket.

The location was amazing! Fantastic views of Clew Bay to the front and Croagh Patrick behind. Right on the seashore so we could go exploring. Accommodation was lovely and spacious and very comfortable. We are a family of 6 and it was a great setup for all of us. Would definitely stay here again.

Kitchen could have done with a few extra items to make cooking a bit easier - serrated bread knife, chopping board and cheese grater!

Beautiful, clean, modern apartment in quiet gated complex opposite Croagh Patrick - we loved the big windows with views over the water at the back; beds were very comfortable; apartment had everything we needed; hassle-free check in/out.

What a location for discovering west Mayo July 2026. Clew Bay and Croagh Patrick as our back drop. Apartment was spacous and had everything we needed. Quiet. Plenty of parking. A 5 minute walk to the nearest pub,10 to the nearest restaurant, and 15 minute walk to Bertra Beach. Old Head and Louisburgh and Westport <15 minute drive. Highly recommend. Pick up supplies in Westport on the way.

Het steeds door eb en vloed veranderende uitzicht op de baai was echt fantastisch. Aan de andere kant kijk je op de berg Patrick. Het appartement is voorzien van een volledige keuken en wasmachine. Op loopafstand is een redelijk restaurant and bar. Westport is bereikbaar met auto of fiets. Een heel leuk stadje, maar met de auto lastig om doorheen te komen. We hebben de fietstocht gedaan naar Achill Island, wat erg leuk was.

It was spotlessly clean, both the grounds and the apartments themselves. There was ample parking. The apartments had beautiful views of the sea and Croke Patrick.

The accommodation was very clean. All facilities were modern and well maintained. Areas outside the property were very well maintained also.

Les deux petits lits de la troisième chambre ne sont pas très confortables, mais c’est vraiment le seul petit point d’amélioration.

Television signal was very poor. Only lasted maybe 3 to 5 minutes at a time. No iron or hairdryer.

Appartement mal insonorisé : les bruits de pas des occupants de l’appartement situé au dessus du nôtre étaient très gênants Vaisselle insuffisante obligeant à faire un lave vaisselle chaque jour car très peu d’assiettes et de couverts à disposition (dommage pour la planète !) Téléviseur d’ancienne génération qui a buggé pendant tout le séjour avec des coupures de réseau fréquentes qui nous ont privé des matchs de foot de la coupe du monde !!! Dommage !

We recently stayed at Murrisk Apartments for a quiet weekend away without the kids, and it exceeded all of our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we knew we'd picked somewhere special. The location is simply stunning, with breathtaking views of both the bay and the mountains. Waking up to that scenery each morning was so peaceful and relaxing. The gardens and surrounding grounds were beautifully maintained, everything was spotless and clearly very well looked after. The apartment itself was exceptional. It felt brand new, with modern furnishings, immaculate cleanliness, and no signs of wear and tear. It had everything we needed and more. We really appreciated the thoughtful little touches too, like the fresh carton of milk in the fridge and the tea, coffee, and sugar provided for our stay. It's those small details that make you feel genuinely welcome. One of the highlights was being able to leave the car behind and take a leisurely 5-minute walk down the road to Campbell's Pub for a pint in their large beer garden. It was the perfect way to spend a sunny evening and added even more to the relaxing atmosphere of our stay. The whole experience offered incredible value for money. It was exactly the peaceful break we were hoping for, and we left feeling refreshed and already planning our next visit. Next time we'll definitely be bringing the children so they can enjoy everything the area has to offer. We honestly can't recommend Murrisk Apartments highly enough and are already looking forward to returning. 10/10 – beautiful views, exceptional accommodation, thoughtful touches, and a fantastic location.in

Mooi complex, heel netjes allemaal. En wat een uitzicht!!! Prima ligging voor de St. Patrick. Leuke en goede restaurants in de directe nabijheid. Westport erg gezellig stadje.

The apartment is nice and very clean, the location is great at the bay and at the foot of Croagh Patrick. There are possibilities to go for something to eat within a few minutes by foot, also Westport is only a few minutes by car. Instructions how to get the key obtained via message worked well. Recommendations and everything you need to know was provided in a folder in the apartment. The beds were quite comfortable The atmosphere of the complex with a mix of permanent residents and holiday lets was something you had to get used to, but everything was fine

The refill for the toilet flush took ages about 10 min, which did not help if two people needed to go to the toilet. The kitchen equipment could use some small add-ons, knives were really blunt and a cutting board or some more pots could also help.

Wonderful apt. Spacious and modern. Very comfortable and spotless. Great location 500m from Croagh Patrick. Great service from Mc Ginn's taxi in and out to Westport. I would heartily recommend this property.

The location was amazing, but the property itself self was perfect. It was clean, well supplied, amazing views, comfortable beds and had thoughtful touches throughout like having milk in fridge on arrival, little local guide book.

Everything, the location, the views the apartment was stunning...the photos of it doesn't do it justice !! Lovely touches by host ..milk in the fridge when we arrived with tea/ coffees.They also facilitated an earlier checkin as we were attendance wedding which was very much appreciated
