Absolutely perfect stay for a nature lover and one who wants to break free from the hustle of the city There coffees and pizza are amazing. Infact all the food items were amazing
The food was amazingly delicious . The concept of bathroom is so unique.
The rooms, the location, the property
The food quality and pricing
Coffee plantation around
Food options are very limited and lunch/dinner served was stale, not fresh
Our stay at River Estate Coffee was truly memorable. The stay offered warm hospitality, polite staff, comfortable accommodations, and a peaceful ambiance. Surrounded by the lush coffee estates and the scenic beauty of Coorg, the location provided the perfect escape to relax and reconnect with nature.
Apparently, there is nothing that we didn't like about the property <3
The stay was really amazing, everything inside the property is beautiful. The nature inside the property really gives you a break from work. It is so much peace and quiet inside. The rooms are very clean. Food is good and the staff is very polite. Overall its a worth it experience.
The room is spacious with a wonderful patio overseeing the coffee plantation. The bathroom is also very well planned with a big bathtub which you can relax with some hot water. The coffee, food are phenomenal, highly recommend the pizzas. The staff are extremely helpful, friendly and dedicated to the craft. Special thanks to Chandan for the coffee tour, Hemanth, Akshay and rest of the staff for making our stay very comforting.
Amazing coffee and food
Power cuts like 5 times in the night. Hot water issue which is the least you can expect from a stay. No luxury facility in the room ( no hair dryer, tv , Wi-Fi)
The coffee, the view, the food, the plantation tour and the room. Everything was fab.
Frequent power outages and erratic water-heating.
One of the most beautiful properties in Coorg. Beautifully done, serene resort. The staff was helpful. Food was good.
Food, ambience and location were nice.
The breakfast was great. The overall surrounding is beautiful. Staff are polit and helpful
Food portions are too large. My driver couldnt eat there because he had to order 250 rs large bowl rice and 350 rs large veg curry. would be helpful to have a 300 rs thali that is balanced. or reduce cost and portions. There should also be a hangout spot near the pond. it gets really dark at night and no place to chill except the cafe.
Very peaceful, nice food, nice service, very good staff. Location scenic, enjoyed the greenery.
Pets are allowed in this resort and that sometimes irritates when you are having food. Pets should be restricted at the restaurant
The scenic view and the washroom - basically just aesthetics
There were frequent electricity cuts - We had huge ant problem - the ants were falling from above directly on the bed while we were asked to adjust for a day given that was late night we did - but next day even after being clearly told that if they are not able to solve the problem we will look for alternative during the day - Still same thing occurred - while the owner was informed he didn’t even take the efforts to come and check with us they don’t care There is no Tv if you are with kids - while the view is scenic after 7 it looks scary the place needs to be lit properly
Location was calm and serene
the hospitality and warmth of the staff. Most Importantly the best ever food, tasty delicious. Coffee was something divine. The Beauty of location, the calmness and the melodious chirping of birds. Altogether a memorable stay.
Location is excellent. Resort, room and other facilities are very good. Good food, good and supportive staff.
Simply amazing !! The whole experience was just surreal. The location is just beside the Kaveri river (though the river isn't visible from the estate), around 30 km south of Coorg. They have independent cottages in the middle of their 55 acres Coffee estate, with a big pond having fishes and water lilies. Do try their local cuisine (both veg and non-veg). They also give you an estate tour and would explain the whole coffee harvesting process along with their free coffee samples to taste.
Beautifully nestled between the coffee plantation, a small rice fields and a pond full of water lilies. Food was excellent, Indian dishes and crossovers between western and Indian food
Great coffe farm experience. Delicious food and nice, comfortable accomodations

All was good ….
Beautiful unique boutique property! Great location and food.
Some upkeep and maintenance in and around the property, including rooms and common areas is needed.
It's a working coffee estate. All the staff are most kind and courteous. Adi gave us the most expert estate tour one could wish for. Chandan brewed us probably the best coffee we have ever had. Jeena ran everything so professionally and found us an outstation taxi at very short notice. The lily ponds are divine. We walked the back roads well outside the estate, walked by the Kaveri river and met and talked to many local people, an unforgettable experience. It was not easy to stop eating breakfast! Different dishes every day, and of course with that fabulous coffee...
It's a working estate. The cottages are acoustically transparent. You will sometimes hear estate machinery or the neighbours or the State Highway. But at night the silence is uncanny and rare. We would have liked a table, both inside and on the patio. Some sort of sofa seat inside also. There is no fridge, but then, there are sometimes lengthy power cuts. We really needed better and stronger lighting, especially as bedside lights.
Clean and a Calm place. Secluded location, good privacy. Coffee plantation tour was great. Enjoyed it.. Food taste was good.. Coffee taste was excellent.
Missing attention to small details.. Attention to details could improve the experience by a lot. Would expect it for the value of money. Few are - I understand RO water is available, but water bottles could be available. "Chilled" beer was not available. sometime. Food menu ordered by morning for lunch were informed not available only at lunch time..Few minor improvements such as these will make the stay much more memorable.
EVERYTHING!
Great location! The ambience is so good that we stayed in-house at the resort and enjoyed our day. Friendly staff , homely food and great customer service. Very peaceful and serene atmosphere. Highly recommended - worth every penny. And don’t forget to try their variety coffee flavours and grab your new favourites !!
This place is outstanding. This a legacy coffee estate which is secluded and tranquil. Each individual house has a wonderful view of the surrounding coffee estate as well as lush paddy. The ambience of the chirping of the birds in the morning is top notch. It is imprtant one gets up early to make the best of this place. There is an estate coffee tour which lead by Mr Aditya which was absolute treat. The food in the cafe is phenomenal. I would recommend to go for the Kodagu cuisine. Virajpet and Dubare Elephant Camp are about half an hour away. Tala Kaveri is out 2 hours up North past Madikeri. If you are driving from Bengaluru through Mysuru, you will pass beautiful part of the Nagarhole Tiger Reserve to get to Riverside Coffee Stay. There is an old world charm to this place that is missing from other places I been to in Kodagu. My Mother and I thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful place and look forward visiting again.
Nothing I can think to be honest. Ms. Jenna, Aditya, Abhishek and Hemanth were all outstanding. Mr. Rishwin and his father Mr. Poovayya were outstandingly kind.
they customize the breakfast as per your requirement which is great.
its a great place. can't think of any not to like
Location was great, so were the folks hosting us
Having room service would have helped out Also, wifi in the rooms is a must, if I have to visit again for work as well
Location was good
Room and even bed have insects, red ants and spiders crawling in. You have to continuously stay vigilant
Location is excellent.Staff is friendly.Food was tasty
The overall ambience of the property was good and the ponds looked good with the lotuses blooming.
- Absolutely lame hospitality. Owners didn’t even bother to greet - You’ve got to order for dinner at 2:30 PM and lunch at 10:30 AM - No WiFi & TV in the rooms - Pathways are dark & unkempt. Not enough lighting near the rooms at all. - Room service is non existent and they don’t even provide drinking water unless you ask for it. That too you’ve got to fill it yourself in aquaguard. Their water bottles are beer/alcohol bottles repurposed for this use. - No change in linen or bed sheets everyday. And it is written that they charge extra if it were to be asked to be changed. And their linens are smelly. How can you expect the guests to use the same towels for 3 days? - Zero pest control. There were lizards dropping their dump all across the room & the washroom. And since it’s an estate, at least they could’ve managed to get this part sorted. - Coffee estate with no pedestrian trails and no interest in arranging for tours within the estate. You intend to stay in a coffee estate to experience their coffee and the 1st day they served us tea. And the rooms also have tea bags. None of them even showed slightest of interests to take us through to the coffee estate. - No feedback asked and their guest relationship manager is rolls her eyes up if we take time to order dinner without even having lunch served first. The days we stayed back (which was a Sunday & Monday), they have called the maintenance guy to chop the grass and the sound that guy made while using the machine he used gave us a headache. I so wish there is an option to share that audio clip here but I couldn’t. When I share this with the manager, she replies SORRY SIR and the guy stops after half an hour. We checked out immediately after this. For the price that these guys are asking, this is absolutely not worth it at all. With this callous attitude shown towards us, I don’t intend to come back here.
Experience was truly exceptional. Nestled amidst coffee plantation, the property offers a great comfort, making it a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The accommodation was clean, thoughtfully designed, and well-maintained, with every amenity provided for a comfortable stay. Waking up to the sound of birds/insects and the view of Lilly pond & lush greenery was a refreshing experience. Akshay was welcoming, responsive, and ensured that every aspect of our stay was smooth and enjoyable. The serene ambiance, coupled with the thoughtful hospitality, made this a truly memorable getaway. I would highly recommend the riverside coffee to anyone looking for a peaceful and rejuvenating retreat.
Hot water was not available in the morning. I felt for this location where most of the months are cold, they should install a geyser. But I personally felt bathing in cold water also rejuvenate our mind. Again it depends on the individuals preference
We had a great stay at your place. Its a beautiful resort set amidst the coffee plantation. The rooms are high standard and the food is delicious! Our dogs also felt so welcome. Highly recommended
Basic food facilities were not up to the mark. Plus it missed other basic facilities and the room wasn't maintained properly. On the positive side the overall property was nice and the coffee was good.
A serene and peaceful place. With the number of cottages being limited, we had a wonderful time exploring the property and the restaurant. Very welcoming staff and the manager Gina made sure our stay was amazing
AC didn’t turn on automatically sometimes which can be fixed
