Reviewed Aug 29, 2025The ambience was good, sittin under clear starry night alongside of bonfire to keep us warm and enjoy music and food and the best part was staff was very friendly, hats off to staff, Rauf and Unees who prepared delicious homemade food and also took care of everything and even guided us to places to visit. The host, Mr.Deepak was very humble and friendly and gave us a tour of the estate and also guided on places to visit and was super friendly.
I would definately visit this resort everytime i visit coorg.

Reviewed Jan 2, 2025I booked a last-minute stay at The Secret Ashram after reading great reviews, and I’m so glad I did—it was absolutely worth it. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and the chef (sorry, I forgot his name) prepares delicious meals. The Chechi ensures everything is spotless. A special shout-out to Deepak, SK (Shivprasad), and Ankita—each of them is full of energy and creativity, making the experience even more memorable.
Originally, I had planned to stay for just one night, but with the cozy and beautiful atmosphere, I decided to extend my stay for another day, and I’m really glad I did. On the evenings of the 24th and 25th, they organized campfires and games as part of the Christmas Eve celebrations, which added a wonderful touch to the stay.

Reviewed Sep 15, 2024"I had the most incredible experience at Secret Ashram Coorg! This hidden gem is nestled in the lush greenery of Coorg, offering a tranquil retreat from the chaos of city life. The moment I stepped in, I felt a sense of calm wash over me.
The accommodations are cozy and comfortable, with beautiful views of the surrounding landscape. The food is delicious and wholesome, with a focus on locally sourced ingredients.
But what truly sets Secret Ashram apart is the warm and welcoming community. The staff are kind and attentive, and the other guests felt like family.
I particularly enjoyed the coffee estate walk.

Reviewed Aug 2, 2024Beautiful place right in the middle of the a Coffee Estate, which gives a beautiful feeling when you wake up.Deepak who was managing the property at the moment is extremely friendly and is always willing to help with your plans.
Food is also available at the residence where the cook is always available
Would definitely recommend this place to meet other travelers.

Reviewed Jun 24, 2024Very closely connected to nature and coffee plantations around, especially in monsoons.
The staffs - Nikhil and Preethal were really helpful and made us feel home. They were always ready to pick the calls for any doubts we had and were very welcoming.
The chef was very sweet and asked about our food preferences.
The property is situated in Arekedu, around 20 kms from Madikeri bus stand, this was the only difficulty after reaching early morning from bangalore.

The location of the property is very good and a peaceful property.
There's a bonfire setup outside the building where you can vibe at night.
The manager was very friendly and helped us in every situation.
They also have a cooking facility in the property and the cook there makes delicious food.
The entire staff is very welcoming and friendly.
Definitely worth the money!

Reviewed Apr 16, 2024The staff were very helpful and generous. They kept food for me at 10:30 P.m. as I arrived late. Property is surrounded by trees and nature so great place to spend your weekends.
The place is in the midst of a small estate, well maintained with lots of outdoor spots to hangout. Luckily, we visited as a couple with no other occupancy. Had the property for ourselves.
Unfortunately the kitchen wasn’t active. We could still manage as there are options available within 15mins drive. Totally recommend it for group trips of 10-15.

Reviewed Apr 2, 2024Everything was perfect ! These 3 days were awesome. The place through coffee plantations with wild life around is super nice. You can bring your food and cook there if you want. The amenities were also super with the fire place. Owner is, as well, friendly and can help for anything. I can only recommend !

As the name suggests,a secretly maintained hostel somewhere in the middle of15 acres of huge coffee plantation. The location,the ambience,the service,the staffs and the serenity that the place offers are nothing less than satisfying.
Deepak was too friendly.A guy who always make sure his guest’s needs were met.we look forward to coming back for even more joy with even more people.
Arrived in the quiet times – but a nice welcome, a comfortable bed, a few nice people still staying, so some nice chat and then a quiet peaceful sleep. I had a lovely, relaxing time at this place. It was everything I needed and wanted from a hostel and very new, clean and homely. The staff member treated me very well and was very pleasant. I would highly recommend staying here and will definitely return.
