The View vs Similar Hotels

Mixed feedback: some guests report large, comfortable rooms, while multiple reviews complain rooms (or certain rooms) are small, beds tight for two and at least one lacked an expected fridge.

Rooms repeatedly described as clean and comfortable in multiple reviews (e.g., 'large, clean and comfortable rooms', 'quartos confortáveis e limpos').

Beautiful, scenic location with loch/mountain views and well placed for Sleat, but several guests note the hotel is remote, has limited immediate walking access and little nearby activity/dining.

Consistently praised staff: described as very friendly, helpful, attentive and exceptional by many guests (several named staff praised). A few mentions of being short-handed and rushed on occasion, but overall service is a standout.

Food repeatedly described as excellent and delicious in many reviews; a few operational hiccups (difficulty securing dinner reservations on one stay) but overall dining is a strong positive.

Grounds and outdoor areas praised, but some lacked indoor personal touches; specific amenity issues noted (e.g., no fridge in some rooms).

Several guests felt the premium room price was poor value (explicit complaint about ~£600/night) and restaurant noted as pricy, despite high service and food quality.
