House was clean and tidy

Location was very far from the city

The hosts were very cordial, the place was as picturesque as it looked in the photos, and the views had my whole heart!! My only regret is only spending 1 day at this little slice of heaven, should have stayed for at least 2 days :"(

Keshiya holiday home is lovely! It’s just a short 10-15 min drive into town. But you can walk to lover’s leap and the Pekoe trail stage 22 end point from the Homestay - if you like to hike this place is for you! The room we stayed in was very clean, comfortable, updated and very spacious. We had a great view from our balcony as well as a comfortable bed. The host and his family were so welcoming and friendly. He greeted us with a wonderful gift to kick off our honeymoon of fresh flowers and strawberries from his garden. They also served us breakfast in our room every morning, which was a nice touch. We also did dinner with them one night and the food was delicious, we got to watch them make everything as well which was really fun.

Really lovely home, with the owners living next door. The house is very comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was fantastic! The owner even gave us some strawberries from his garden to try, which was such a nice touch. We loved our time at Keshiya and would definitely recommend it.

The only downside was that one of us got stuck in the bathroom because the door wouldn’t open. Even the owner couldn’t fix it, so in the end she had to climb out through the window!

El alojamiento es precioso, merece mucho la pena. Antes que ver la explotación en fábricas de té, merece la pena quedarse a vivir en una como esta. Muy amable, desayuno riquísimo. Nos puso en contacto con Kingsley, un conductor que llevó nuestro coche desde Nanu Oya a Ella. Majisimo también, merece mucho la pena preguntar para que os pongan en contacto con él para cualquier cosa que necesitéis. Todo genial.

Jayantha (the host) is the nicest guy I met in Sri Lanka. He aranged everything for us and the room was very cozy, clean and nicely decorated.

Super vriendelijke eigenaars, zeer hulpvaardig. Ze hebben ons telkens geholpen met het organiseren van vervoer, de eigenaar heeft ons zelf naar een theeplantage gereden. Verder hebben we een mooie uitleg gehad over de Sri Lankaanse keuken (live cooking).

Hij ligt 2km buiten het centrum van Nuwara Eliya. Qua flexibiliteit ‘s avonds iets minder ideaal. Wel heerlijk stil ‘s nachts.

Es ist alles genauso wie die anderen Gäste es beschreiben: gemütlich, sauber, viel Platz, reichhaltiges Frühstück, tolles Essen am Abend, es ist wie heimkommen. Die Familie gibt sich unglaublich viel Mühe, dass ihre Gäste sich willkommen fühlen. Es war eine wunderbar entspannte Zeit. Danke

La camera è davvero meravigliosa e pulita, con un letto gigantesco davvero molto molto comodo e un’altra stanza indipendente su soppalco, e una vista pazzesca sulle piantagioni di tè. L’host estremamente premuroso e preciso e ci ha anche accompagnato in città. La colazione viene servita in camera, molto buono tutto fatto sul momento. Super super speciale e consigliato

The apartment is new and beautiful. It is located a bit apart from the city center, for us was a plus since we love to be surrounded by nature: you wake up with the forest view and silence. The host was amazing, breakfast too! We totally recommend it

Ruim huis met aparte keuken, eettafel en zitje. 2 aparte slaapkamers. Alles netjes op orde. We hebben hier 2 keer diner gehad en dat was echt heerlijk! Goed verzorgd, ontbijt ook erg lekker. We kregen een ontbijt mee toen we erg vroeg naar Horton plain gingen. De eigenaar is erg gastvrij en staat continu voor je klaar, een ritje naar het centrum, ook met goede tips om te doen voor in de omgeving. Aanrader!

Leuke rustige plek en mooi uitzicht. Kamer is schoon en van alle gemakken voorzien. Daarnaast kregen we een heerlijk ontbijt met verse aardbeien.

Un peu froid la nuit

Toen wij hier waren had het net het allermeest geregend in tijden, er waren een hoop overstroomde wegen en landslides. Omdat we hadden gezegd dat we zelf met de Tuktuk kwamen maakte hij zich een beetje zorgen en hadden prettig app contact voorafgaand aan het verblijf. Hij heeft ons wat handige tips gegeven om te doen. Het huisje was echt perfect voor een klein gezin, was erg schoon en had een prachtig uitzicht met balkon

Het ontbijt werd geserveerd op de kamer, schrok stiekem een beetje toen er op de deur werd geklopt.

De host is bijzonder vriendelijk. Kan je heel veel vertellen over het gebied en de mensen. En denkt ontzettend goed mee. Zo behulpzaam. Het ontbijt en avondeten is voortreffelijk. Zeker een aanrader om diner daar te doen. Ook aan kinderen werd gedacht. Het was het lekkerste sri lankees eten wat wij tot nu toe hebben gehad. Wij ( gezin met 2 kinderen) achteraf heel jammer dat wij maar 2 nachten hadden geboekt. De accommodatie is goed. Erg ruim en comfortabel. Ligging is uit het dorp en heerlijk rustig.

Hem gaudit d'una estada magnifica. Una casa molt neta, amb uns llençols que convidaven a sommiar. Jayantha es un amfitriò excepcional, molt educat i disposat a ajudar, ens ha penjat la roba que hem netejat en el seu hivernacle. L'esmorzar amb fruita i melmelada de maduixes del seu hort. Una truita sri lankesa deliciosa i un suc de plàtan boníssim.

Rustig gelegen, zeer ruim appartement met 2 slaapkamers, keuken, en woonkamer. Fantastische gastheer die zeer behulpzaam is en daarnnaast ontsettend goed kan koken. Ontbijt was super!

Bedden waren eigenlijk net te smal om met 2 europeanen lekker te kunnen slapen.

A wonderful place with delicious homemade food prepared using fresh ingredients straight from the garden. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home. I highly recommend this place from the bottom of my heart!

It is a small property owns by a local person who is really attentive and caring. The location of the hotel is 10minutes far away from the town by tuktuk but it is what we were looking for. A quiet and natural surrounding place to scape from the busy town. I love everything in this place. Besides , we ordered dinner and it was amazing. And the breakfasts too. I recommend it 100%.

De hosts zijn geweldig gastvrij, service gericht en uiterst vriendelijk. We werden diverse keren gebracht met de tuk tuk en auto. Wij hadden her ruime appartement met 2 slaapkamers en gescheiden bedden. Goede matrassen. Prachtig uitzicht. Het ontbijt en diner zijn zalig 😋 en veel verschillende gerechten. Ontbijt met verse fruitshake en verse aardbeienjam.

Dat we niet langer bleven

We had a wonderful stay at this villa in Nuwara Eliya. The place was very comfortable, spotless, and beautifully maintained. The location is perfect peaceful, private, and close to all the main attractions. We especially loved the privacy and relaxing atmosphere. Everything was well arranged, and the owner were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and private stay in the best location.

I was definitely spoiled by Jayantha & his family. One word to describe them = GENUINE. The home is spacious, clean, large kitchen, stunning view from the back. Jayantha presented me w fruits grown on his farm, lemon, fig, passion fruit, strawberry. Jayantha & his wife Dil were my cooking instructors. I was also able to participate with cooking. Will definitely return!!!!!! Thank you.

Superbe séjour chez Jayantha. Nous avons un peu galéré a nous rendre chez lui mais notre tuk tuk très persévérant a su nous aider. Nous sommes arrivés dans un logement spacieux, d'une grande propreté. Nous avons savouré notre délicieux dîner et petit déjeuner très largement composés des fruits et légumes de son jardin. Nous avons eu la chance de partir avec des fruits de la passion du jardin ! Jayantha a été très aidant pour nous aiguiller pour la suite de notre voyage. Merci pour ce sens de l'accueil.

El apartamento estaba muy limpio y no le faltaba nada. Cómodo y con unas vistas preciosas. A destacar la amabilidad de Jahanta. El desayuno y la cena fueron de lo mejor que hemos probado en Sri Lanka todo con verduras y frutas de su huerto. Gracias

Una struttura eccezionale. La posizione è ottima, perché fuori dal caos delle vie principale, la vista è davvero rilassante e tutto il contesto è molto curato. L'appartamento al piano terra è tenuto benissimo, tutto molto molto molto pulito, dalla cucina al bagno, alla biancheria. Anche i letti li abbiamo trovato comodi. Il proprietario è molto premuroso e davvero servizi e volevo, alla mattina porta personalmente un ricca colazione genuina in appartamento, facendoti sentire un re. Davvero una famiglia speciale che merita sempre più ospiti. Grazie davvero, vi auguriamiamo il meglio per la vostra attività.

Wij hadden de eer om de eerste.gast te zijn in deze vakantiewoning. Het was heerlijk om in deze woning te zijn: alles is nieuw en het ziet er prachtig uit. Het uitzicht over de vallei is heel mooi. Het is dichtbij Nuwara Eliya en toch heb je het gevoel helemaal buiten te zijn. De omgeving is rustig en in de nacht is het heerlijk stil. Het bed is heel groot en slaapt ontzettend fijn. De host maakt het je als gast naar de zin. En de verse aardbeiensap en de heerlijke aardbeienjam zijn een traktatie bij het ontbijt.

Parádní pohostinnost a výborná domácí večeře (po dohodě) i snídaně. Prostorný apartmán s dvěmi ložnicemi, velkým obývacím prostorem i kuchyní, terasou s výhledem. Dobrá domluva na příjezdu, jídlu apod. - hostitel nás vyzvedl kousek od apartmánu, příjezdová cesta je pro auto dost krkolomná :) Poloha stranou mimo ruch města.

Die Wohnung war außergewöhnlich groß, super ausgestattet und sehr sauber. Es gibt eine eigene Küche mit allem was man braucht. Alles ist sauber und trocken, die Betten sind bequem umd warm, die Aussicht großartig. Mit dem eigenen Tuktuk gut erreichbar, ist die Unterkunft geeignet um ruhig zu schlafen, aber auch schnell am Wasserfall zu sein und nebenbei die hübschen fruchtbaren Gärten des Ortes zu bestaunen. Von der Terrasse hat man einen tollen Blick auf den Sonnenuntergang, während man mit der Gastgeberfamilie ein schmackhaftes landestypisches Abendessen zubereiten kann.

The house is very beautiful, spacious and clean. The host was very nice and helpful. The food prepared by the host was delicious (dinner). We had to leave the apartment in the early morning and he also prepared very good „take-away” breakfast and arranged the transport for us.

The house was very clean and well-equipped with everything we needed. The owner was extremely kind, helpful, and always available if we had any questions. A great bonus is that if you’re planning a trip to Horton Plains, breakfast can be served early in the morning, which was very convenient.

La struttura è molto accogliente e l'alloggio lasciato a disposizione degli ospiti è enorme. Jayantha ci ha accompagnato in alcuni punti di interesse ad un costo onesto. Wir haben in Sri Lanka viele nette Menschen kennengelernt, aber der Vermieter der Wohnung ist wirklich einfach nur klasse! Wenn ihr nach Nuwara Eliya kommt übernachtet unbedingt hier! Wir haben an einem Abend Abendessen hier gebuchten es war fantastisch! Zudem fuhr uns der Vermieter zu einer Teplantage, den Wasserfällen und in die Stadt. Er holte uns von der Zugstation ab, brachte uns zum Bus und organisierte uns sogar die Busfahrt nach Colombo! Das Frühstück war ebenfalls fantastisch! Besucht dieses wunderschön gelegene Häuschen unbedingt wenn ihr hier seid es lohnt sich!!

The host is the most hospitable and friendly person you will ever meet. He helped us with our intinary and dropped us off at the city center and the train station. We really enjoyed the home cooked dinner. The apartment is very spacious. The wifi is good.

The apartment is huge, but not very cosy. It would help if it was a bit more decorated. The apartment is a bit far from the city center (or a restaurant), so you will need own transport or use a tuktuk.

Wat een geweldige dagen hebben wij gehad bij Keshiya Holiday Home! Zeer vriendelijke eigenaar die ons naar de laatste etappe van de Pekoe trail heeft gebracht, waarna we de 12 km terug hebben gelopen. Echt een aanrader om te doen! En het eten was het lekkerste eten van heel Sri Lanka! En ook nog verse aardbeiensap bij het ontbijt😀.

Very lovely place, somewhat outside center of Nuwara, but at the endpoint of the Pekoetrail. We did the last etappe of the trail and came back with a bus. Very nice views and relaxed walk. The owner is very friendly and can give you all the info you want. Breakfast was excellent. It's continental with Strawberry juice, cake or pancakes. They even did some home cooking for us the first evening (Khottu). Again, very tasteful. I recommend this place for its charme. You look out your window and see the plains! The next day, he brought us to the trainstation.

If you’re going to Nuwara Eliya, the only thing you need to book is this place. It’s a quiet retreat perfect for a relaxing few days, or if you want to explore it’s close enough to everything. The host, Jayantha, will go out of you way to enhance your trip - from incredible home-cooked meals to local tips and arranging activities. He even drove us up the road to a tea factory, and dropped us at the train station at the end of our stay. Jayantha’s hospitality was one of the highlights of our Sri Lanka trip.

By far the most welcoming guesthouse of our trip! Was a pleasure to stay in Jayantha’s home Location is really great (in tea plantations) even if a bit far from the City The dinner was crazy, breakfast amazing! (Strawberry juice directly from the Garden!) Thanks a lot Jayantha!

It's a lovely two bedroom,hall, kitchen flat with one bathroom. Since the rate was so good ,I had booked it .Reading the lovely reviews, too,made me decide to go for it.We had a fantastic dinner,too, at a very reasonable rate.Thr free breakfast was too good.The location is in a narrow lane which does not matter as you will be picked him by him in his car if you provide the information of your arrival.Jayanta is a very nice guy who will guide you about any information required by you before you arrive.

Very, very, very clean place with beautiful terrace outside and view of tea plantations and forest. Very good contact with the owner, good breakfast. Beds were very comfortable and flat was spacious and very well organized. Little paradise on earth. You can take tuk tuk to train station/town. Owner helped with organising it. The host cooked us a fantastic dinner, really recommended to take up his offer, and the breakfast was also great. The location was very interesting, close to Pedro's Tea Factory where the Pekoe trail ends (host drove us to the beginning of the trail in our own car and we walked back).

Nothing to do with this place but unfortunately some construction went on across the valley which diminshed the peaceful experience a bit. But nothing major.

Jayantha and his family were lovely and very helpful. The holiday home is situated in a quiet part of Nuwara Eliya with lovely views of the countryside. You need to get a tuk tuk into town, but this was not difficult, and in fact, Jayantha gave us a lift on a couple of occasions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Everything was perfect here. The house was very nice, clean and spacious with beautiful view, surrounded by tea plantations. Location was perfect for us. It was outside of the city but in very calm and beautiful neigbourhood. It was easy to catch the bus to the center.. Breakfasts were delicious, very big with amazing strawberry juice.. The owner was super helpful and did everything to make our stay perfect. He picked us up from the center and also helped us to cach a bus to another location. He helped us to organize tuktuk trip to tea factory and waterfall for a very good price. He was there for us everytime we needed anything. You can feel 100% welcome at this place, just like at home. 10 is not enough to rate this place., our stay there was beyond our expectation.

The house was located a bit further from the city center, but the owner helped us to get there by car. The owner was very sweet, he helped us with everything including taxi/tuk tuk, tips what to do in the city and where to go for hikes. He also prepared really delicious food for dinner. Thank you!

Pretty much everything - it’s calm, idyllic, with views out over the nearby fields, stream, and hills. You have essentially half of the entire house, but an entirely separate entrance to the owners’ family, so it feels like your own place … it was the largest place we’ve had to ourselves in Sri Lanka. In all honesty we wished we could have stayed longer, and would have had we not have a reserved ticket on the train to Ella, and would give more than 10/10 if we could. After a busy first week in the country, this was exactly what we needed to relax and enjoy chilling out a bit. What really made this stay though was Jayantha - the friendliest man I’ve met in Sri Lanka, and fantastic host. He did everything he could to make sure we enjoyed our stay: recommended a restaurant for lunch, drove us the 1/2 mile to the end of his road so we could get a 50 rupee bus into town, provided a fantastic dinner and breakfast (including his own strawberries), kindly spun and hung up our hand-washed clothes when it started raining, and arranged for his father-in-law to drive us to the station the next morning. To give you a taste, he kindly arranged two-days of transportation for us before we were even staying - and at a price that our previous homestay owner was shocked we’d managed to secure! Additionally, he had bought us an Ayurvedic remedy for us to use given we climbed Adam’s Peak and in-case we had sore legs. In all, don’t be put off by the 4km to the town, you can easily get a 500 rupee TukTuk or 50 rupee bus to centre, you’ll be staying in a clean and comfortable house, relaxed, and with a fantastic host who will do his best to make your stay great. The road to reach the location.

We were realy surprised about the apartment, view at the garden and extremly frendly host. He made us welcome tea, took us to the city center to the restaurant and waited for us eventhough it was NY-eve. The greatest thing was breakfast in the morning, I would say the best one, during our stay on Šrilanka. Thank you for all your help, I will recomm end your place.

Jayant, the host of this property is a gem of a person. Jayant to be honest was the highlight of our stay not even his beautiful house. This place is a great value for money in all honesty. Even more than that. The rooms are spacious. We booked both the rooms which is basically his half home. It has a kitchen, dining area, a common bathroom, a patio, and a backyard. Our breakfast was included and we had one of the best breakfasts of our entire Sri Lanka trip here. Jayant is an amazing chef. From his rice hoppers and dal to strawberry juice, he killed it all. And, the best part, he has his own small farm just beside the backyard where he grows everything. We had so many conversations with him and we learned so much about Sri Lanka, its people, the country's economic crisis, civil wars, and more. After talking to him we had even more respect for the country. The rooms are spacious and comfy. Very cozy given the weather of Nuwara Eliya. The property also has parking available. The Wifi is available but the speed is not that great. But it gets the work done. The kitchen has basic amenities for you to cook basic food. I can go on and on but cut short, it was the best stay of our trip. Book this place, sleep tight, wake up, sit in the backyard, sip hot coffee, talk to Jayant, and relax. Live the Sri Lankan way, amigos.

There is nothing to be honest that we disliked about the property. Everything is great here.

Even better than the accommodation itself was the service and help we received from the owners. They helped us with our travel plans, cooked a delicious dinner (breakfast was just as good) and helped with our car. The owner is a great guy who will not leave you in trouble. My whole family really enjoyed our stay. And if you stay here, be sure to take advantage of the home-cooked dinner offer. The curry here was really delicious!

Like you can spend the entire evening roaming around in the backyard where our host has been growing all sorts of fancy stuff ( strawberries, passion fruit, oranges… you name it). To top it all you get to play with Simba(shyest feline you’ll ever meet). I wish we were there for a few more days but definitely recommend it to everyone who is going to Nuwara Eliya

Jayantha is an exceptional host and amazing chef. He provided a clean and beautiful space and drove us around in his tuk tuk when needed. We would've loved to have stayed longer.

Fantastic and friendly owner who supported us with everything. He gave us many advices regarding sightseeing, restauratns and shops. Delicious breakfast on the terrace with a beautiful view. Lot of space, calm and tranquil surrounding. We could vist the House again.

The home stay was really comfortable and the owner was a super nice guy with a little daughter who even showed us their cute cat simba. He even cooked for us in the evening for a fair price and the food was really tasty. The owner speaks really good english and is very nice (brings you into the city or gives you tea if u want to). The home stay is like a little flat which even has a little kitchen and a chill area. Its not far away from the waterfall trail which is definitely a must see. All in all we were very happy and would recommend 100%.

Jayantha was an amazing host. He spent time getting to know us and our interests and was genuinely a nice bloke. He helped us plan the best ways to get around and even drove us down the road for free, showing us where we would then catch the local bus into town. Town is only a 10 minute trip away and was a fun, very cheap, and lively experience in itself! After staying in a few small accommodations, Keshiya is huge and offers a sense of freedom with separate bedrooms, dining, living, kitchen, balcony, and great views. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful, and he packed takeaway for our early departure day when we headed to Hortons Plains. He sourced a driver and a good price for us for that day. There are walks such as to the reservoir and Lover's Leap waterfall nearby.

It is a little further out of Nuwara Eliya than some places, but that makes it quieter and gives an opportunity to be in amongst tea fields and local activities.We loved the location.

What a super relaxing place to stay. The host Jayantha who is always with a smile is all out to make your stay a comfortable and memorable one. The location is a bit away from mad rush of the Nuwara Eliya town. This makes the place quiet and relaxing. The view is so scenic that makes you completely unwind and relax. The approach road is a bit tough, but then this is a typical Nuwara Eliya road that leads you to the top of the hill and makes such a difference from other stays.
