In a lovely village and is comfortable and has everything you need for a short stay Nice pub over the road and a well stocked shop 1 min walk
No shower but we enjoyed bath
Outstanding! The property was immaculate and all the little touches just added to the exceptional hospitality
This is a lovely Cottage. Very homely and comfortable. And quiet. With a Restaurant across the road that does good food.
Excellent location the property was clean. Everything you needed. Plus a little goodie box. Quaint and enchanting. Excellent property, excellent Host.
The pub was across the road. The shop was 10 seconds from the property. Everything was perfect.
The host was very welcoming and helpful, ensuring we were comfortable and enjoying our week long stay. The cottage was delightful, perfect for the two of us. The location was fabulous with a bar and restaurant across the road, a small shop nearby and a coffee shop within walking distance. The cottage sat on the main street of a pretty village and was within walking distance of the beautiful Franciscan Friary and the Abbey Blooms garden.
There was no shower, just a bathtub in the cottage, which some may find inconvenient but we didn't mind.
Beautiful little house, friendly host's, everything you could want and a pub opposite serving delicious food
Nothing
The cutest, cosiest cottage for a romantic getaway. Aisling is a wonderfully welcoming host who has thought of everything to make your stay just perfect. The cottage is a little gem with the added e tra of friendly and welcoming locals and fantastic food and hospitality at Weir's across the road.
The property was excellent. Beautiful decor, very clean, comfortable, cosy and everything we needed for a short stay was supplied. Great hosts who were very helpful.
It was perfect.
Peaceful location Well equipped Comfortable bed, slept very well Pub across the road serves great food
Our preference would be a shower cubicle and not a bath, but space is limited
Location, charm of house, bits and pieces for breakfast.
A shower..the bath is nice but not so practical
House
Bathtub inside bedroom and water was sprinkled out during shower and water spread over the bedroom and stairs
The house is so cozy and cute. In a quiet little village
We loved everything about it
Wow factor bedroom. Warm and comfortable. Great location in the village. Very friendly owners. Provision of some essential food and drinks on arrival. Spotlessly clean.
Everything about it the accommodation the host the facilities the location, on the main street friendly pubs and shops opposite, the abbey next door and Fore close by, lakes lough Qwell Ennell & Derravaragh on your doorstep. Mullingar Kinnegad Athlone Castlepollard and Trim all within an half hour & Dublin less than an hour.
There was nothing I didn't like,it was perfect.
This cosy litte fully equipped cotrage is like being corseted in a fluffy blanket of homley welcoming hospitality. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone for fear it wouldn't be available to rent again for myself. Super well done clean well decorated and so well laid out. It really was a pleasure to stay there. Pub across the road if you didn't fancy cooking which I didn't try but have heard its excellent.
There was really nothing I didn't like from the roll top bath to the beautiful quirky crockery, didnt like leaving that was about it.
Very cozy accommodation and relaxing location.
Spotless accommodation, decorated to a high standard. The host met us and took us through the property and how it worked, they also left us a great welcome pack. The place is literally 25 yards from 2 great pubs.
The only thing missing is a shower, there is a mixer tap but the bath is inside the bedroom and it is impossible for water to not get into the bedroom floor.
Very comfortable little cottage with lovely helpful host. Great place to unwind for a couple of days. Pleasant local walk to the Friary which has a little cafe.
Be aware that advert describes two different cottages.....the smaller one does not have a washing machine even though it appears to say it has. Local pubs are not always open. Don't rely on being able to eat out locally in the evening.
Multyfarnham is a beautiful little village in the heart of Westmeath. The Stone House is just off the main street, opposite a lovely little pub which serves great food. There is private free parking right beside the front door. Our host had provided everything from welcoming food and drinks on our arrival, books, local information, lots of towels and storage space and everything else we might need. There is a free standing bath in the attic bedroom, the decor is beautiful throughout and we felt completely spoilt.
In the town
Bathtub only, uncomfortable to get in and out. Bathtub too big for such a small bedroom
We had a lovely relaxing stay in this beautiful cottage.
Host was great, met me on time, quick tour & checked in later with me to make sure I had what I needed.
The cottage was absolutely amazing, I would have loved to have stayed longer.
Proffessional & friendly hostess. Beautiful.home. Everything needed supplied & more. Host checked us in. Had time for chats, local info & left us a welcome pack. High standard of hygiene, care & customer service. Definately recommend. Pub & restaurant accross the road. Beautiful.Friary in tiwn - a must to.visit.
No shop in location or near. Bring supplies. Only 1 x eating establishment.
What a gem. Cottage is cosy, comfy, everything you need for a romantic, relaxation stay. Aisling was the perfect host. From the fire to the romantic bath, lighting, candles, highly recommend. Location is great. Weirs pub across the road perfect for food, stunning walks.
Previous reviews said no shower. There is no shower but what better than a long soak in a beautiful bath. This cottage is all about relaxation.
It was quiet and very comfortable.
That I had to leave
Beautiful cottage located centrally within the village and a fantastic base for visiting the wider area. The host was very welcoming and friendly and the accommodation is so comfortable, cosy and relaxing. All modern comforts within a beautifully restored cottage providing everything you’d need for a few days’ stay.
There isn’t a separate shower but there is a shower head provided within the bath - perfectly fine once you get used to it
Myself and my partner where more then happy with are stay , the host went above and beyond to help us, making us both feel very comfortable . We both felt very happy and almost lucky that we had made the booking. The property was exceptional, very comfortable , we both felt very relaxed and really enjoyed are time there. We would certainly recommend and book again. Thanks you very much to the host for making are stay so plesant.
Excellent location in the centre of the village with pub/restaurant directly across the road
It is easy to see that the owner did a fantastic job renovating this property but unforunately could not fit a shower in due to the ceiling shape. The a free standing bath located in the bedroom wasn't very convenient for washing and we struggled not to splash the floor when using the shower head. Overall a fantastic little find. P.s beware the eircode that booking.com supply is not correct, check directly with the owner before arrival for the correct code.
Very cute stone house opposite the most wonderful bar and restaurant (Weirs - we highly recommend it for dinner). The house is well stocked with everything you could need for a comfortable stay and communication from our host Aisling was very good
If you have vision or mobility issues this may not be the place for you, the stairs to the bedroom and bathroom are very steep with no railing to hold onto
The house is beautifully decorated with loads of space and has private parking. It is also across the road from Weirs for lovely food and music and singing.
Nothing
Everything you need on your stay you will find ant the property
"The cottage exuded a wonderfully warm and relaxing atmosphere. The fireplace, prepped and ready, promised cozy evenings. The bedroom was a tranquil retreat, but what truly stood out was the bathroom. The luxurious bathtub, positioned centrally within the bedroom itself, created a unique and indulgent bathing experience. It was a striking feature that added a touch of unexpected luxury. Thoughtful touches, like soft ambient lighting, contributed to the overall feeling of comfort and relaxation. It was a truly memorable and restorative escape."
Really nice little cottage. Perfect for a romantic getaway.
Lovely 1 bed house very clean , right on the main street, two pubs beside the house , close to Mullingar
It was rural.
The roof wasn't fit for people over 6ft. Kept banging my head. No shower, a bath located within top floor and really inpractical. Every surface covered in nik naks.. the husband of the owner was anti semitic comments, also laughed about his drink driving offense.
A very cute stone cottage right on the Main Street, self contained with cooking facilities. The owner has out a lot of work into the cottage, everything was lovely. It’s not for the inaccessible asa it has a steep site off stairs and a bath tub in the end room to step in to. We enjoyed our stay, appreciated the goodies left for us by the owners and liked the village. Right across the road from two pubs
Very nice cottage for a weekend trip
We loved our stay at the little cottage. It had everything we needed and was extremely cozy and relaxing to stay in. We really appreciated the unexpected extras such as bread and lots of other little things to make us feel at home. The bed was really comfortable and the facilities were great. The little town of Multyfarnham couldn't have been cuter. It was ideal for our dog too. Would recommend this stop to anyone.
Nothing
Such a lovely little house perfect for a few days away Perfect hosts couldn't do enough for us, 10 out of 10.
The location was Fabolous. Being greeted in person was nice. Communication prior to arrival was very informative. The cottage great for touring and plenty to see locally.
Loved absolutely Everything . Our host was very attentive to our needs but not intrusive. Aisling was full of knowledge for the area which was very hepful.
The peace and quiet was what I was looking for. It was very safe, being in the centre of the village. The welcome and care and attention was lovely.
Lovely cosy cottage with everything needed in it. Lovely location aswell.
The property is high quality for the price and there is a generous provision of breakfast items and toiletries. Besides that, my wife enjoyed the candles, the wood burner, the deep bath, the outside seating, the breakfast table set up, the supply of towels, the books, the lighting, and the restaurant directly opposite.
The accommodation was absolutely beautiful 😍. I loved everything about it. The facilities were great, well supplied with all you need. The place is spotless. I can't wait to go again.
Nothing at all
Beautiful. Exceptional. Everything you would need. Pristine.
Nothing for a quiet getaway it’s perfect. Weird pub and restaurant across the road. Lovely restaurant and great staff.
It was a great location, felt private even though we were in the centre of town.. the house was a tranquil place and the hosts made a real effort to make us feel welcome.
The couch could have been a little bigger, a little more snuggle room in front of the fire...:) Tot sure im in love with the bath in the bedroom but it was a fun novelty, seemed to run out of hot warer after filling the bath.
Everything. The house, the host, the locale
the layout was perfect for a couple and it was very well equipped with everything we needed
nothing
We had a wonderful stay in this lovely cottage. Aisling was a brilliant host and went above and beyond to have the cottage nice and cosy for our arrival and provided everything we needed for our stay. Communication was great too. The cottage is located in a lovely village, with a very nice bar/restaurant across the road. I'd happily return here and highly recommend it for a quiet relaxing weekend away.
A lot of attention to detail went into decorating and making the house very cozy, it was perfect for our short break away from the city.
The host was so helpful. Also, the house was one of the nicest accomodations I've stayed in for so long. I would return in a heartbeat
Absolutely spotless, comfortable and cozy. Felt so relaxed especially after the lovely bath. Lovely unexpected breakfast left for us with a great choice
