We liked everything - the cottage was super and knowing that the housekeeper was nearby if we needed anything was really great. The landscape is extraordinary and the people and the hospitality in Castletownbere and Eyeries are exceptional.

There was nothing we didn't like, even the Irish rain was lovely.

It is a quiet place where you can directly start your hike into the mountains.

Beautiful cottage and lovely, peaceful surroundings.

Just that the directions were not totally clear on the app and the extra charge for leaving refuse seemed a bit odd. But still a wonderful stay and certainly would not be put off by it.

It was a nice property and in very private location, sadly it’s not have the comfort to match

The property is in three separate levels, hence there are many stairs, with the bedroom on the top and the a couple of steps to the kitchen, it may not be suitable for some people with mobility issue. When we arrived, the towels were damp and when we contacted the agent, we were told to put them in the dryer, which we did although we were so tired and my husband has Parkinson’s so he was really struggling! The dryer wasn’t working then we were told to put the heating on and dry them on the radiator!! A poor service.. although the owner eventually responded and said she has arranged for the agent bring over some fresh towels the next day. The towels were very old and thin and one even has a hole in it! The owner has hopefully taken notes of our recommendations to replace these old towels with new ones for future guests. Although the owner agreed to compensate us with a refund, despite chasing, we have not heard back.

Wonderful stay in a beautiful country cottage with everything you could think of in it. Fabulous views next to rabbits, pheasants and lambs wandering the fields.

Perfect for a couple to unwind, relax and take in the scenic beauty of the area

Really loved everything about this property. Julie was so helpful. Communication from Julie was excellent and we can't wait to return again soon.

The heating did not work the first night but the host came and fixed the next day

We liked the quiet, calm place, all the amenities were inside, the bedroom had an unusual design, everything you need to cook. Thanks to the owners and the manager.

Towels very old , induction hob didn’t work & yes followed instructions Beds not comfortable, In hot weather too hot , no blinds on roof windows , used fan but not adequate. Not told about code for leaving spent 20 mins trying code in manual

The views and the tranquility. Close to Castletownbere, the sea and the hills. The bed was really comfortable.

A little bit too far outside the town, you will need the car but there is a taxi too.

Lovely little cottage, rural but still close enough to town. The interior is fabulous and very well decked out. Would definitely use again.

Couldn't stay longer

Very clean, comfortable and a great location. Julie, the property manager was a real diamond, extremely helpful and very informative. All in all a great place to stay and a special thank you to Julie for making it a great trip. Would be happy to recommend.

The stay was not long enough.

Very lovely for a couple, very quiet and peaceful. Had almost everything we needed. Julie was very very helpful before during and at the end of our stay.

Could do with a new mattress on the bed

Warm and cosy looking out on the wild landscape of Beara. The cottage had everything we needed, with plenty of space for my children and I.

This house is a little oasis of calm in an amazing part of Cork. The attention to detail is beautiful. The house is well finished and comfortable

Very peaceful and remote but a very quick drive in to Castletownbere. The cottage is beautifully decorated and so cosy and comfortable.

The house is amazing. It was very clean and it’s finished off to a very high standard. It’s home from home.

Lovely quiet location. Lovely bright warm and airy cottage. Generally of a high standard but unfortunately let down by the uncomfortable bed.

Unfortunately the double bed wasn’t comfortable as it was very creaky so noisy if you even turned in the bed and also the mattress sagged in the middle so was uncomfortable.

Nothing, everything we could have asked for was there and nothing could have made our stay easier.

Super location especially if you like hill walking, we were able to do a super walk from the house up hungry hill and back by its lakes, really peaceful then to relax in the evening

Absolutely nothing

Dream Cottage is a very nice accomodation, with a modern touch. The living is room is spacious, the kitchen well equipped and the bathroom is very nice. The cottage lies at the foot of the Hungry Hill - which is a very fine mountain tour if you like going up on a bit rocky surface. From the apartment we explored the Beara Peninsula and also the southern part of the Ring of Kerry as well as Mizen Head and Dunlough Castle. A hidden gem on Beara is e.g. Gleninchaquin Park with Uragh Stone Circle, also nice: Glenbeg Lough, ...

On the downside there are always stairs ... e.g. there are two tables on different floors, ...

Fantastic modern cottage in superb location, with towering Hungry Hill above and glorious views across Gantry Bay below. The house is only a 10-minute drive away from Castletownbere, with its bars and restaurants. Very tranquil position, peaceful at night. Very good place to stay if you want to explore the Beara peninsula and beyond.

Staff, location and comfort all top. Could have stayed for a month.
