Fantastic location. Lovely properties and parking.

It’s in a great location adjacent to The Shannon’s and close proximity to many bars and restaurants. It’s set up my for large groups but for 3 of us it was ideal as we had our own bedrooms and bathrooms .

Great location and great facilities. Would go back.

Too many beds squashed in. Beds uncomfortable. Bad shower. Property is tired and needs money spending on it!

Lovely location, great parking, bed very comfortable

House itself left a lot to be desired. Very tired property. Lacked basic facilities. Could barely manage to lock and unlock the front door. 4spoons, 4 forks, 7knives, 9 plates…. About 25 glasses. Bizarre. Toaster burns toast. Cooker hood does not work but smoke alarm certainly does! No freezer. No hairdryer. No wooden spoons. No frying pan. 2 saucepans with only 1 lid that actually fitted.

This is my new home from home in Carrick. I loved our stay. Great location, the apartment was ENORMOUS. Appreciated having a washer/dryer.

Nothing to dislike!

Close to town. Easy parking for free. Host responsive to questions. Lots of space for the 6 people that stayed. Three bathrooms. Late checkout at eleven was helpful. Basic accommodation at a great price that had everything we needed.

Only thing we would have liked was a freezer part in the fridge but to be fair it doesn’t say there is one in the description but we would have stayed here regardless.

A wonderful house, furnished beautiful and to a high standard, so central to the town, bars and restaurants. The host kept us well informed and met us on arrival with great suggestions for dinner and where to go. A wonderful host and very informative. Definitely be back and can recommend.

Few more towels would help as not enough towels for the amount of guests staying, no shower gel, shampoo etc otherwise amazing. Have no doubt if we asked we would have got them-we didn't ask so our own fault but a few ladies had extra towels so hence didn't want to bother Philip

Insufficient toilet rolls..l had to top up from the other toilets...and no floor shower mat/towel..could have easily slipped ...had to use hand towel..!

Very nice Apartment. TV, Couches, Beds, Kitchen etc all excellent. Great location in a picturesque town.

The House was perfect for a weekend trip. Best location in Carrick on Shannon.

The location of the property was a short walk into town, close to shops, pubs and restaurants, we overlooked the river which was a beautiful view out of the window. The owner communicated well and was easy to get in touch with.

The property was not well equipped with basic cooking necessaries.

The beautiful view of the river from the property

A group of 10 of us stayed and we were really happy with everything. The location was absolutely perfect for us. A 2 minute walk in one direction to the Moon River boat trip. A 2 minute walk in the other direction to The Oarsman restaurant. Host Philip and primary contact Jim couldn’t have been more helpful.

There was no freezer.

The position of the property was great looking onto the marina and within walking distance of the town facilities. It was nice and quiet. The owner greeted us and moved us into a different property when he knew my husband was a fisherman. The house he moved us to had a balcony over the river Shannon, so that he could fish off the balcony.

There were too many beds in the main bedroom, the double bed was up against the window, so you couldn't get out of bed on that side. The kitchen units needed updating as the laminate was peeling off.

The location is great and parking was easy. The layout of having three floors suited our family well especially since there is a toilet on each floor. There was plenty of room to spread out.

It was hard to get the towels to dry out each day as there were only hooks or a towel ring. We ended up using hangars for our work around.

The location it was perfect

It was not like the pictures i seen when i was booking it...very disappointed it was so deceiving. It was not clean, stains on the walls over the beds, tiles in the bathroom had a scum on them, velux window blinds falling apart. Furniture old and in need of replacing, cushions on sofa stained. We left early as i didn't feel comfortable in it and never slept. The location was perfect but that was it and that is why i give 3 stars

Location was great, everything so handy. House was was more than lardge enough for are needs.

Philip was a lovely host. The apartment was perfect with fabulous views over the water. Clean and comfortable, great location, just a few minutes walk into town. Great value for money. Very spacious

You'll have to bring your own shower gel, shampool etc and washing powder, dishwasher tabs

The location was perfect. And the view of the river was lovely. The house was walking distance to everything the town had to offer. The house itself was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed. The beds were comfy, too.

Nothing, I couldn't fault anything

Location was brilliant. Walking distance to town and eateries and the marina was across the road for a lovely walk around

Just a couple of ideas that would have made our stay easier. If basic things like coffee, tea, sugar and long life milk pods were provided, it would have been wonderful. We headed straight to a supermarket to sort that out so no big problem but just some feedback.

Lovely central location and the house was lovely and clean. I was worried it would be noisy but in fact it was lovely and quiet. It was perfect was us with a family of youngish children.

Great location. Responsive host. Nice to see well looked after plants in the property. Well heated. Convenient parking. Very central. Quiet in February.

Single beds are narrow but you can push two together. Some of the duvets were the synthetic dirt that don’t mould around you. They don’t supply a hairdryer for some unknown reason but there were three irons so it can’t have been about fire risk or fuel saving. We had to ask for a teapot and cafetière and only the latter was forthcoming. Also, a bowl for use in the microwave oven would be useful.

Beautiful clean house Philip the host is lovely and always not far away if anything is needed location is also lovely with a great view of the river and the boats and location is great everything near

The property is in a great location and super clean and comfortable. Philip was so lovely and helpful. Definitely recommend this property for anyone going to Carrick on Shannon.

central location and a plenty of space in the house

Excellent location, house was warm, clean and welcoming. Downstairs is modern enough.

Upstairs is outdated. Shower in main bathroom didn't work, no forks, very little delph for the amount of people being accommodated , no blind on the velux windows in either house, camp bed in the room for 5, as the fifth bed, but no space to put it. Rusted bin in bathroom. Nearly all of the towels had stains (tan/makeup). No freezer in the second house. All little things I know, but collectively they made the houses less attractive.

The property is in a very good location, with a lovely view of the river, and very close to the train station and the airport bus stop. There is parking close to the property, although we did not use this as we did the easy walk from the station. The property is well furnished, and very comfortable, equipped with everything you would need. The host was lovely, very helpful. This is our second visit, and we will be back!

Lots to do for a family of all ages from trips on the boats, Arigna Mine and Lough Key Forest Park The host Philip was very helpful and welcoming. The apartment has plenty of space with all conveniences for a long or short stay.

Nothing to do with accommodation but good to know if staying to check food availability as very limited places to eat in the town early in the week. Possibly just time of year

The standard of cleanliness was a little low. Dirt under the sofas for example and corners of bathrooms .

Nothing, was grand

I loved everything about this house, the view, facilities, space, ensuite rooms, and perfectly situated. There are ample beds for either a small or large group. Outside the back door there is also a wonderful bench and umbrella to chillax. When walking outside the front door you can walk alongside the river. In short I could not recommend this house enough, and will happily return some to use it again.

Superb location by the waterfront in the centre of town close to all pubs and restaurants. Really spacious and room for large groups. Well equipped. Fabulously friendly hosts. Second visit and we will be back soon! Free parking an absolute bonus!
