Light breakfast was pretty good. Fresh fruit salad was lovely.

The unkept messy surrounds of the property were an immediate turn off. Photos are not up to date!!!

La struttura si trova in aperta campagna, molto vicina alle Cliff of Moher. I proprietari sono accoglienti e disponibili a dare informazioni e suggerimenti La colazione molto varia. Le pecorelle 😀

La nostra stanza per tre persone era un pochino stretta, ma per una notte è andata bene.

L'accueil est chaleureux, les hôtes sont de bons conseils sur les alentours. Le petit déjeuner est copieux et adapté selon les envies. Les lits sont confortables.

Le logement est un peu bruyant et le tarif est un peu élevé pour la taille de la chambre et les équipements fournis.

Ίσως το πιο ωραίο κατάλυμα της όλης εκδρομής μας στην Ιρλανδία. Πολύ γραφικό bed and breakfast σε πολύ ήσυχη περιοχή. Ευρύχωρο, καθαρό και ήσυχο δωμάτιο. Το πρωϊνό ήταν εξαιρετικό και τι να πεις για τους οικοδεσπότες, τέλειοι! Να σας πουν και tips για επίσκεψη σε διπλανό κάστρο, άξιζε την εμπειρία!

Zaskakujące jest, że to zamieszkały dom z rozgardiaszem i mnóstwem przypadkowo przechowywanych rzeczy, nie ma swobodnej przestrzeni dla gości. Spłuczka nie działa sprawnie (od roku jak czytam komentarze). Stosunek standardu do ceny wypada bardzo słabo. Dom położony daleko od miasteczka i klifów. Otrzymaliśmy inny pokój niż na zdjęciach z booking choć o podobnym standardzie, jednak spodziewaliśmy się tego wyposażenia jak na zdjęciach (nakrycia na łóżkach).

Podejście właściciela, przygotowywane smaczne śniadania. Kosmetyki w łazience i mnóstwo ręczników.

La grande stanza mansardata con bagno grande, la colazione ottima e abbondante, i racconti del padrone di casa, i sorrisi della padrona di casa, la gentilezza e disponibilità di entrambi. Fatto amicizia anche con qualcuna delle pecore! Soggiorno piú irlandese di cosí non si può.

Nulla da segnalare, solo una avvertenza: non lo consiglierei a chi non ha l'auto.

Die Lage war etwas abgeschieden, aber das war in Ordnung, weil die Landschaft sehr schön war. Der Gastgeber war grundsätzlich freundlich und bemüht, aber leider war der gesamte Standard nicht dem Preis entsprechend bzw. man muss schon hart im Nehmen sein, dass man sich dort wohl fühlt! Motto: Will aber kann nicht.

Leider eine große Enttäuschung – wir sind nach einer Nacht ausgezogen. Schon beim ersten Eindruck des Hauses hatten wir ein sehr ungutes Gefühl. Das gesamte Gebäude sowie der „Garten“ wirkten auf uns ungepflegt, überfüllt mit Gegenständen und insgesamt wenig einladend. Die Atmosphäre erinnerte eher an ein privat bewohntes Haus, das seit längerer Zeit nicht mehr richtig in Ordnung gebracht wurde, als an ein Bed & Breakfast. Unser Zimmer war zwar oberflächlich sauber, aber der Zustand des restlichen Hauses hat dieses Gefühl leider zunichtegemacht. Im Badezimmer ließ sich das Fenster nicht schließen und die Toiletten- bzw. Duschmatten wirkten nicht frisch gewaschen. Auch das Frühstück hat uns nicht überzeugt. Es wurden bereits geöffnete und angebrochene Marmeladengläser sowie offene Cerealienpackungen angeboten. Das Frühstückszimmer machte insgesamt keinen hygienischen und gepflegten Eindruck, die Möblierung des gesamten Hauses war abgewohnt, nicht sauber und über die Jahre zusammengewürfelt. Uns ist bewusst, dass Unterkünfte unterschiedlich geführt werden und der Gastgeber sich vermutlich Mühe gibt. Dennoch erwarten wir bei einem kostenpflichtigen B&B ein gewisses Maß an Sauberkeit, Ordnung und Hygiene. Diese Erwartungen wurden für uns leider nicht erfüllt. Obwohl wir bereits alle Nächte bezahlt hatten, haben wir uns entschieden, nach der ersten Nacht auszuziehen und eine andere Unterkunft zu suchen. Das haben wir in all unseren Reisen noch nie getan. Für uns war ein weiterer Aufenthalt schlicht keine Option. Wir können diese Unterkunft daher leider nicht weiterempfehlen.

Rien car la propriétaire nous a annulé le séjour à quelques heures de la prise de possession du logement, en nous demandant d’annuler nous même pour ne pas qu’elle se fasse retenir des frais de booking. Pratique scandaleuse.

- malhonnêteté de la propriétaire - annulation au dernier moment - pratique du surbooking - menace de la propriétaire pour nous contraindre à annuler Nous avions réservé une chambre pour 4 au Doolin Sunset fin août 2023 pour une nuit. Quelques heures avant que nous prenons possession du logement, la propriétaire de l’établissement nous a appelé et nous a annoncé, avec un ton désagréable et agressif, que le logement que nous avions réservé n’était plus disponible, qu’elle nous avait trouvé un autre logement ailleurs et qu’il fallait qu’on annule notre réservation sur booking. A plusieurs reprises nous avons essayé de savoir la raison pour laquelle notre logement n’était plus disponible, mais la personne éludait la question. Quand nous lui avons indiqué qu’il était hors de question qu’on annule la réservation sur booking car celle-ci n’était pas annulable ni remboursable, et que c’était à elle d’annuler la réservation, elle est devenue encore plus agressive et insistante. Nous avons dû appeler le service client de booking qui nous a confirmé que c’était à elle d’annuler la réservation et qui a pris deux fois contacts avec elle. La première fois, la propriétaire très malhonnête a menti à booking en disant que c’était nous qui voulions annuler car elle n’avait pas le wifi et face à un deuxième appel du service client, elle a reconnu que c’était bien elle qui voulait annuler mais que soit disant elle n’avait pas le wifi pour le faire… Après que nous ayant insisté en disant que nous n’avions pas d’argent pour payer une nuit d’hôtel ailleurs car la somme avait déjà été prélevée et payé à son établissement, elle a accepté par téléphone de payer le logement qu’elle nous avait retrouvé. Bien entendu quand nous nous sommes présentés au fameux logement, les propriétaires n’étaient pas au courant qu’elle s’était engagée à payer pour nous.

We had a wonderful stay and will remember it with great affection. The house is beautiful, cozy, and surrounded by the peaceful Irish countryside. We had an amazing night’s sleep—the beds were incredibly comfortable, and the silence of the countryside was simply magical. What made our stay truly special was the kindness and hospitality of Carmel and her husband. They were among the warmest and friendliest people we met during our trip to Ireland. They prepared a delicious traditional Irish breakfast for us and even had a gluten-free option available, which was greatly appreciated. Thank you, Carmel and your husband, for the lovely conversations and for making us feel so welcome and at home. We hope to come back one day. We couldn’t recommend this place more highly!

Auf den ersten Blick hatten wir uns ein Wenig erschrocken, wie es auf dem Hot aussieht, aber die Bedenken waren sehr schnell verflogen als wir in unser Zimmer kamen und uns jeder Wunsch sofort erfüllt wurde. Die Beiden waren so herzlich und liebevoll. Das Frühstück wurde so zubereitet, wie bestellt. War eines der angenehmsten B&Bs in unserer langen Rundreise durch Irland. Danke

Doolinsunset is steeped in character and charm. Carmel and Martin are wonderful and provided the best of Irish hospitality to us. The guest house is in a beautiful location overlooking the beautiful west Clare scenery, offering peace and tranquility and an amazing view. Martin kindly offered to drop us down to Doolin village so we didn't have to drive and could enjoy a couple of drinks. The room was very comfortable, with a large comfortable bed, ensuite with an array of toiletries available so we wanted for nothing. Breakfast was so good, fruit, yoghurt, cereals and a full Irish which comprised of fresh local produce. We were sorry to be leaving.

We were very happy with our stay, it was authentic and wholesome and we enjoyed it thoroughly.

Loved everything about it. Michael and Carmel were the most welcoming people ever Couldn't believe they gave us sandwiches and cake after our night in Doolin and even joined us for a cuppa!! 2 gift boxes of chocolates in our room and an amazing breakfast Would highly recommend and will def call again Well done

Doolin Sunset canceled my reservation one day prior so I had to scramble to find a new B&B. Booking.com advised me of the cancellation and offered three choices of comparable B&Bs. I accepted one of them so we weren't stranded without a room.

This bed and breakfast was truly excellent. The hosts are so friendly and eager to make suggestions on the surrounding area. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, and overall this place was a perfect little taste of Ireland.

The only drawback is that the house is outside of town (Doolin) so walking into town is not really an option. However, this does not reflect at all on how the hosts are or how nice the bed and breakfast is. If you have a car and don't mind driving into Doolin, I highly recommend!

Everything. Staying here was like being with family. The view was beautiful, the room was comfortable, lovely home cooked breakfast and Martin and Carmel made us feel so welcome, and were full of information about the area and where to go. We loved staying here.

We enjoyed our double room at Doolin Sunset. It was cozy, quiet, private and clean—everything needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was also very comfy and the shower was great. We loved all the windows that brought in natural light, farm and sea views and fresh air. We enjoyed chatting with the hosts, Martin and Carmel, and meeting other guests at breakfast which made for a more authentic experience!

The online photos indicating a common lounge area/sitting room with a fireplace were sadly not available for use. It would be helpful to update online photos so guests are not shocked upon arrival that this is a lived-in personal home.

Carmel and Martin are super welcoming hosts, we loved our two-night stay in their home! It has an amazing view looking out onto Doolin and the ocean and is a convenient drive into Doolin and around the area. Food was excellent and Carmel was super accommodating to us as pescatarian guests. B&B has a really homey feel and we loved getting to chat with Carmel and Martin. If you are renting a car, this is an excellent place to stay. Rooms are great for accommodating a family.

The couple was nice enough.

The property was bad. Dirty inside and out. Cobwebs and spiders in multiple spots in our room. Toilet didn't work right. TV broken. The photos on booking are not representative of where you stay. Can't comment on the breakfast as I chose to skip it and get breakfast somewhere else. My husband said his was ok. Very unpleasant experience.

Ett minus var att vi fick betala mer när vi kom fram till boendet, värden berättade att booking hade fel priser på hemsidan.

We have mixed feelings about our stay. On the positive side, the house itself is very charming and the host (the gentleman) was incredibly kind and took great care of us. He prepared an excellent, delicious homemade breakfast in the morning. The room was perfectly clean, the bed linens were fresh and fragrant. As were the towels the gentleman provided for us.

However, there were several issues with the room. It was extremely cold during the night – around 16°C - and if it weren't for the extra blankets, we would have been freezing. The water temperature in the shower was very weak, and the toilet barely flushed. Given the low price we paid, the basic facilities were expected, but these technical issues were still uncomfortable. The most unpleasant part of our stay was the attitude of the lady owner. Immediately upon our arrival, the first thing she addressed was a 30 Euro price difference on Booking.com. She approached us again in the morning, clearly expecting us to pay the extra amount. We found this very unprofessional. We booked the room for the price displayed on the platform, and any pricing errors are not the guest's responsibility. Our rating would have been much higher thanks to the gentleman’s hospitality, but the constant pressure regarding money ruined the atmosphere.

Thr location was the location was far from the village for us who we didn't have a car.But then again Martin was there to take and bring us back any time.

True and classic Irish B&B experience. The breakfast was excellent every morning and Carmen and Martin were extremely accommodating hosts. The kids loved the sheep and rabbits and the location was great for spending several days exploring the region.

Carmel and Martin were delightful — wonderful hosts! My kids loved being greeted by the sheep in true Irish fashion. The room was an ideal fit for us with a double and two twin beds. It was beautifully furnished and prepared. Breakfasts were delicious and my husband was the brave one who enjoyed Carmel’s homemade black and white pudding. Martin was especially helpful recommending a local site where we got to see a sheep dog herding demonstration and great restaurants.

Irish summer weather was less than ideal. Pouring rain, very windy and foggy and comical videos of us trying to see the Cliffs of Moher. Oh, well!

It was we located and very comfortable. The highlight was how welcoming and hospitable the owners were. They took care of my mom and I as if we were family and it was such a nice feeling and experience. Carmel made us homemade pie to go and it was amazingly delicious. Thank you for your warm hospitality. We hope to return again soon.

Martin and Carmen are wonderful hosts. Bed was great. If I am ever in Doolin again I would stay there.

It's setting is like the Irish countryside, farm living. If that isn't your style then go pay for that.

Abbiamo soggiornato 2 notti , i padroni di casa sono molto cordiali ci hanno fatto sentire subito a casa . Inoltre ci hanno dato degli ottimi consigli sulla zona. La camera era deliziosa, il bagno spazioso e alla sera ho potuto usufruire della cucina al piano di sotto per far cenare i bambini. Buona la colazione tipica irlandese. In cortile hanno delle pecorelle e i coniglietti che sono stati l ‘attrazione preferita dei bimbi.

Carmel and Martin made us feel right at home and were very helpful with any queries we had. They even organised taxis for us to and from the village which allowed us to go down to the local for food and a few drinks.

It seems like home. Warm and cozy, the room had everything needed for a one night stop. We slept like angels even with a storm outside. The breakfast was homemade and cheerfull and the company was well-mannered and pleasant.

Our hosts were very friendly and helpful, and breakfast was great, nothing was too much trouble and poached eggs to order were great thank you, :-) Sheep were every friendly!

A little further out of town than I thought but Doolin still fairly easily accessible and what a great little town.
