Monara Backpacker Inn Unawatuna

Die Gastgeberin ist super nett, was uns den Aufenthalt umso schöner gemacht hat. Direkt vor dem Balkon springen täglich süße, friedliche Affen durch die Bäume. Roller werden für einen super Preis ganz flexibel von der Gastgeberin verleiht. Meist singalesisches, simples aber leckeres Frühstück. Schöne Lage und alles gut erreichbar. Gute Klima in jedem Zimmer vorhanden.

Отдыхали здесь с мужем 2 недели в марте. Что понравилось: 1. Просторный и чистый номер на втором этаже с большой ванной комнатой. В душе всегда была горячая вода, а уборка производилась вовремя. Есть кондиционер, потолочный вентилятор и фен, все в рабочем состоянии. Комаров мало. 2. Вкусные завтраки за красиво накрытым столом в саду. Для каждой комнаты свой отдельный столик, мне это очень понравилось. Хозяйка печет традиционные блины, подает фрукты и соки, а кофейные чашки мило украшает живыми цветами. Блины у нее каждый день разные, в основном сладкие, с начинкой из кокоса, банана, политые шоколадом, но были пару раз и не сладкие блины. Вместе с завтраком выдается бутылка воды. 3. Каждый день за завтраком мы наблюдали очаровательных пальмовых белок. Несколько раз видели обезьян, на деревьях вокруг. Ночью в траве можно видеть огни светлячков, это завораживает. 4. На втором этаже есть кухня для гостей, холодильник, большой стол и диван. Там приятно посидеть вечерами под звуки природы. 5. Место уединенное, вдали от городского шума. Пение птиц, стрекотание цикад, полный релакс… 6. Вблизи этого места расположены два отличных пляжа: Унаватуна – благоустроенный, шикарный и Джангл Бич – живописная лагуна в джунглях. 7. Все наши деньги и вещи остались в сохранности. На Шри-Ланке случаются кражи, но в этом гостевом доме все честно и безопасно. 8. Главный плюс этого места - добрая хозяйка Таранга. В день заезда она подала нам фрукты и кофе, что было очень приятно после тяжелой дороги. Когда мы планировали ранний подъем, она с вечера готовила нам завтрак. В день отъезда она позаботилась о нашей безопасности, сфотографировала наше такси и просила сообщить ей, когда мы доберемся до аэропорта. 9. Таранга – прекрасная художница. Мы купили у нее три замечательные картины, причем одну из них она написала нам на заказ. Картины и рамки она тщательно упаковала нам в дорогу. Теперь эти произведения каждый день напоминают нам о чудесном отпуске и милой хозяйке Таранге!

Минусов мало, даже не хочется о них писать. Но, может, кому-то будет важно. 1. Каждую ночь под нашей дверью лаяла хозяйская собака Рекс. Пес живет на втором этаже и если вы будете жить в номере наверху, то готовьтесь просыпаться от лая несколько раз за ночь. Когда Рексу становится одиноко по ночам, к нему в гости заходит его друг, рыжий соседский пес. И они лают дуэтом. 2. До обоих пляжей идти далековато. Мы пробовали ходить пешком, но путь лежит вдоль шумной и опасной дороги. Эта прогулка может стать приятной только ранним утром, часов в 7, когда еще не жарко и на дороге нет транспорта. Поэтому чаще мы ездили на тук-туке. Но вызвать тук-тук через приложение проблематично - они ленятся и не всегда хотят ехать. Приходится вызывать их несколько раз и ждать.

La camera e bella, spaziosa e pulita, bagno grande. Ottima la colazione. La signora ci ha messo a disposizione uno scooter.

Un po lontano da centro e spiagge, ci si deve muovere o con il tuc tuc o con lo scooter.

Para mí el mejor alojamiento en el que me he alojado en Sri Lanka . La habitación muy bien pero el baño superior .pequeños detalles como secador de pelo. El desayuno muy bien tambien

La anfitriona es muy amable y el alojamiento se ve que está recién reformado. Todo el baño es nuevo, el aire acondicionado, la cama… además te proporciona jabón para la ducha, lo cual es el único alojamiento de nuestras dos semanas en Sri Lanka que lo hemos visto. El desayuno esta muy bien. Muy recomendado.

El wifi no va del todo bien, pero nos ha ocurrido en todos nuestros alojamientos en Sri Lanka. La cobertura de datos es buena así que no hay problema.

Tharanga was very warm and friendly and she us genuinely interested in her guests and wants to make sure that they enjoy the stay. The breakfast was good and the place is very clean and beautiful.

The owner was super nice! She made us the most delicious breakfast! Also, there is an open kitchen that you can use and a fridge - which is a big plus. I think this accomodation can be described as the absolute best value for the money! Air conditioning works great, room was very comfortable! Includes hot shower!

Everything was great with good breakfast especially for those who want to be far away from crowdy area and relax

Our favourite stay in Sri Lanka! From the very start we were greeted by Tharanga, who showed us to our room straight away. The rooms were clean, comfy and had everything we needed! Tharanga then brought us up some fresh lemonades, and explained to us all about the things to see and do in Unawatuna. She also sorted a scooter out for us and our laundry which was so helpful! Nothing was an issue at all whilst staying here. Tharanga was the most amazing host, drawing us a beautiful drawing that we will keep forever! The breakfast was different every morning and was so tasty! We would definitely come back and recommend to anyone to stay here!

It is a little away from the Main Street with restaurants but with a scooter only 5 minutes.

Great value for money, in a very nice area away from the hustle and bustle. Surrounded by jungle and monkeys. Room was very comfortable with a nice breakfast. Awesome host who helped organise a scooter for us.

Our stay at Monara was delightful. It is outside the hustle and bustle of the town but very easy to get a Tuktuk and definitely walkable. Tharanga was the perfect host. She ensured that we had everything we needed to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We availed of the laundry service while here which was an added bonus. The air conditioning was excellent and the room was spotless. We highly recommend staying at Monara Backpacker Inn.

This place was just perfect. Simple room, but very clean, confortable bed, AC working great, good hot shower. The location is very close to Unawatuna train station, which is very quiet and away from the crowds. But the best is the hosts: an amazing family, that did everything to make us feel like home!

Very kind and warm host.The rooms are super comfy with AC which is why I booked in first place.It is easier to get to location from train station by tuk tuk.The breakfast here is the best breakfast i have had in Sri Lanka..the pancakes are amazing n Taranga's fruit juice game is on point 😃She also helps with scooty rentals n there is rex the doggo who will make your day.Can use pick me app or scooty to go to Unawatuna, nearby beaches n galle.Highly recommend!

Very nice accomodation a bit outside the hustle an bustle of Unawatuna. For us this was perfect, because we don`'t like to stay in very touristy areas.It was very quite and a nice room. The host speaks very good english and they have a three-leged nice and friendly dog. The room was very nice. Breakfast ok. Parking right in front of te room.

Tharanga was the most amazing host , she went out of her way to make us feel at home and welcome. The guesthouse is beautiful, clean , spacious and so peaceful. It is in a great location a short tuk tuk to all of the attractions and you can walk to the railway. Do not hesitate to book here. Thank you so much for all of your help Tharanga. Leila and Ella x

The place was very clean and cozy, and the staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming.. Additionally, the breakfast was delicious. We truly enjoyed our experience and would highly recommend this place to others.

Tharanga is the greatest host and makes you feel very welcome. The room is very clean and the douche has warm water. Good value for the price you pay. We had a great stay!

Everything! As soon as we walked in to our room it smelt very clean, the bed sheets were clean, the bathroom was clean, everything was very clean. Our favourite part of staying at Monara was the host. She was so cute and so helpful! She made us an amazing breakfast and fresh juice every morning, she helped us get Tuktuk’s around town, she let us use two scooters to get around at a very reasonable price, she did our laundry which came back smelling extremely clean and the beds were very comfy. Over all the stay was 10/10 and we would definitely go back!

Thakanga welcomed us perfectly. She is speaking a very good English. The accommodation is a bit far from the beach, but the advantage is that it's very quiet. If you need, you have a lot of possibilities to rent bikes or motorbikes.

Very nice place, good beds and had airco and a ceiling fan. Big bathroom. Host was very nice and served good Sri Lankan breakfast. Also fair price for scooter rental!

I had an amazing stay at this Place. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious and comfortable, and I was very impressed with the cleanliness demonstrated. I left feeling relaxed and refreshed from my stay and would definitely recommend this place to others.
